RomanceRe: What Strange Attribute In A Person Has Attracted You? by LongOne1(m): 1:51pm On Sep 01, 2011
I saw a girl’s bum/backside one day, apart from the fact it was rather big, it moved in a completely different fashion as she walked ahead of me. Instead of the usual up and down way as she twisted her hips, it moved in an open and close fashion like it was calling me.

Damn! I was attracted to her like an insect to a light bulb. I felt an innate and unnatural pull towards her as obscene thoughts flashed through my mind, triggering a familiar stirring within my loins. Even though I knew she could possibly be the end of me, I simply could not resist. . .

Strange would be an understatement.

Nayah:
Pendo yeah your wedding was great
Mynd 44 did you tell me something? grin

Long one yes for me it's a bit harsh as well
On second thoughts, it’s probably just an empty threat to make the wife lose the fat.

Some women don’t take things seriously, till they are threatened.

^^^ true, but it also depends on the context in which the word/phrase is used.

So is mswati the hubby, or an oracle?
RomanceRe: Trinogamy - Three In A Committed Relationship by LongOne1(m): 12:02pm On Sep 01, 2011
Moreover, a friend of mine’s dad always tells his wife to appreciate the fact he has only one wife. Reason; when he goes for meetings and voices out an opinion, his mates always tease him saying “Shut up, you that has only one wife” – true story.

One word – greed, same reason naija politicians stack up funds to last until their fifth generation.

RomanceRe: Diet Or I Leave ! by LongOne1(m): 10:58am On Sep 01, 2011
A very harsh statement to make. A man saying such most make sure he himself is 10/10, that is without any physical defects like; bald patch, beer belly, white hair or male breasts.

It might also have to do with ‘putting all your eggs in one basket’.

Just saying, that’s all - before you guys crucify me.

A definite No for me, as it will most likely lead to compromise.
RomanceRe: Why Do Some Girls Like Abusive Relationship? by LongOne1(m): 4:45pm On Aug 30, 2011
A girl once told me she likes her bf to beat her occasionally, so I guess to some, it’s a form of sadomasochism (more of masochism), commonly referred to as S&M (ask Rihanna). Bottom-line, there are many sick and crazy people out there.

To others, in line with what talina said (applicable to both male and female) it’s a habit developed and treated as a norm because of bad parenting.

A verse from Big Stan featuring DMX – Walk with me:

I’ve watched men beat on my mother my whole life
So when I hit my baby mother I thought it was alright   (NO!!!)
Maybe if I woke up and them niggaz was gone
I woulda knew that all the hittin’ was wrong, (Exit Wounds Soundtrack, 2001)

RomanceRe: Do Our First Partners Influence The Quest We Take Concerning Love? by LongOne1(m): 12:52pm On Aug 30, 2011
Yes, because we all live and learn, and gain experience in the process. Experience is also said to be the best teacher.

As you rightly said, some people purposely seek out partners with familiar attributes, which might signify a favourable experience, which they want to relive.

For others however, the experience is far from favourable, and the person’s worst traits are amplified in their mind. This discourages them from associating with people who have similar traits.

As they say ‘you can heal the wound, but not the scar’, the scar serves as a reminder of what happened – not too many people want to experience it again, rather, they prefer ‘something new’ or ‘a breath of fresh air’ (like Jonathan, lol).

RomanceRe: How To Tell You Bf And 9ja Dad You R Pregnant by LongOne1(m): 4:58pm On Aug 26, 2011
A sad story if true, you need to stop blaming yourself and start thinking about the child you are carrying, as you’ll soon be responsible for a life.

It’s definitely not the end of the world and people make mistakes, the most important thing is if you’ve learnt from it.
RomanceRe: I Want To Get Married by LongOne1(m): 3:41pm On Aug 26, 2011
Lol @ topic, you can start by reading your books and making something of your life first, before thinking marriage.
RomanceRe: A Woman's Worth by LongOne1(m): 10:38am On Aug 25, 2011
Hmm, me thinks she should become the ideal woman first, if she wants an ideal man to fulfil all these. As being able to distinguish does not mean she will meet this ‘ideal’ man.

If she presents herself as an easy lay/airhead, a man will flatter her to get between her legs. If she presents herself as a Lady worth investing in/willing to develop herself, a real man will do so. If she presents herself as a ‘trophy wife or girlfriend’, the man will treat her like his Ferrari after getting her. If she demonstrates she has intellect, not just physical beauty, his ‘love’ will extend beyond the surface. If she complements him, even if he believes he is God’s gift to women, he will see her as God’s gift to him or at least someone he can’t do without.

It’s all about the image you project, you are what you attract. Then again, these are my thoughts; they may very well be wrong, lol.

RomanceRe: Irony Of Persuading A Woman by LongOne1(m): 3:19pm On Aug 22, 2011
^^^for your eyes only: The bible also says “…seek, and ye shall find, ” (Mathew 7:7, King James Version); and “…he that seeketh findeth. . .” (Mathew 7:8, King James Version)

Definition of seek from the “freeonlinedictionary” is to try to locate or discover, search for.

So you see, you have to seek/search before you can find, which is what I have done. So now, talk your own, lol.

And – you DO make perfect sense, heck, I wouldn't be this keen if you didn't
