ElCapone:Don't mention me and type trash. Answer my question or do not quote me. I have replied a lot of you guys today. So if you do not want to answer my question, shut the bleep up... -Lord |
abumeinben:You have a point. But remember that Mexico is not Nigeria. Tompolo is taken as a freedom fighter by his people, The Mexican drug lord is taken as a ruthless criminal who kills with reckless abandon. He has denied his involvement in the bombing officially, but he is still declare wanted because he has flouted court orders, but the question is does the military have the jurisdiction to arrest a person being tried for a civil case? Only the police have that right (to the best of my knowledge). The military can only wade in when Tompolo attacks any installation or facility that is tantamount to destabilizing the security balance of the nation. Even then, they would have to be careful because Tompolo is not your average armed robber, he is a war lord. In world politics, if you don't have the military and economic might, you can not force another country to honor an agreement. E never even reach time for Tompolo to run. Make we dey watch sha. All this one na my own analysis. Na stand I dey, doz wen dey d field nai know the koko wela. I am just hoping PMB can resolve this without leading to avoidable loss of life and property. Because seriously, na him start am. If him be dey follow rule of law, Tompolo for don see reason to go answer him name for court, return go house. -Lord |
naijadeyhia:Guy na my last reply to you be this as you no one answer my question. 1. No amount of money is too much for our brave men of the Nigerian military. Nigeria's military is a joke compared to that of other countries of similar size. If that money was judiciously used, we would not be having this conversation. 2. We were losing vast territories to BH, so pardon me for not siding with you to note that the urgency of sending needed money to the military to prosecute the war. He did not bypass relevant monetary agencies, the issue is that he bypassed the National Assembly. Do you want to become a prophet now? Are we going to start judging people by the actions they never took? Hear yourself... 3. Na here me really tire for you. Are your living under a rock. So you have not been reading the news. Including where Saraki said Senator Ita Enang, Special Assistant to the President on Senate matters submitted a budget that was different from what PMB submitted? As I said, I am done responding to you. For two reasons: A. I gave you many chances to answer a simple question, and you refused to. B. You are dancing in circles. -Lord |
Is Donald Trump a South African? They should check his family tree sharperly. Or jor ask him mama who e real papa b... -Lord |
naijadeyhia:You are just chasing your tail. These agencies are independent agencies. That they answer to the president does not mean that they are the personal tools of the president. Can you understand that? Jonathan is not OBJ that used supposed independent agencies to pursue his political enemies all the time. Case in point, look at INEC. Is it PMB that is prosecuting Dasuki? Is it not EFCC under PMB. As I have said repeatedly, GEJ has nothing to answer about this issue. Even Magu has cleared his name. It is only haters like you that are still chasing shadows and displaying your brazen hate for the top-performing civilian government in the history of this country. Moreover, you did not answer my question. -Lord |
naijadeyhia:No, you have not answered my question. As Fayemi don budget N800m to renovate website, who we go blame? Fayemi when make the budget or PMB when appoint am? No Jonathan is not been mentioned "over and over again" because he did not follow due process. That is just one side of the story. All the curses and vituperations against him are because Dasuki diverted funds that was meant to fight the war and led to loss of military and civilian loss of life. And I am saying this part should not be blamed on GEJ but on Dasuki. That is why I asked the PMB and Fayemi instance. If you are saying your reason for hating on GEJ is that he did not follow due process, please did PMB follow due process with the submission of the edited National Budget? And both these instances do not have the same gravity. GEJ sent Dasuki to the CBN (the people that were always going to release the money, the Minister of Finance signed off, in fact neither Sanusi nor Emefiele objected, unlike them). PMB used his special assistant to doctor the budget in an hotel and resubmit an edited budget, while maintaining through his aides that he does not have an idea about what the missing budget, where is that done? PMB brazenly insults us, the constitution, and the citizens, and gets away with it. Let me ask you, is it because it is Buhari? -Lord |
Appareil:Oga, u be suffer me small sha. But no lele, Google Translate don rescue me. Thanks mate. All the best. -Lord |
naijadeyhia:Please guy, answer my question. I use whatever you worship take beg you! No mention me again unless you have an answer to the question. To your question. I suppose he didn't, in the sense that it should have been appropriated by the National Assembly. But look at it this way. Before the returned Abacha loot came in, a committee was set up to discuss which sector best deserved the money, and defense was chosen. Where the senate stands in all of this is not something I am privy to. About the other remaining part of the $2.1b, there are conflicting stories as to if it is all of the money appropriated to Dasuki from when he was appointed to when he was removed, or if it was a one-time payment. That aside, the outrage is not that Jonathan gave money to Dasuki to fight the war without following due process. The outrage is that Dasuki used the money for something else. Can you understand that? I never for once have said that all actions taken by GEJ followed due process. It is understandable to make errors once in a while (unlike with PMB, where his supporters believe he can do no wrong). However, what we are debating is what the money was used for. The real question is if GEJ asked Dasuki to share the money frivolously. For example, did GEJ ask Dasuki to give a now APC chieftain N100m to buy a house (which has since been returned)? Those are the kind of questions you should ask. That is why I am maintaining that you cannot blame GEJ for the recklessness of Dasuki. Do you get me? -Lord |
abumeinben:I hear they have frozen his bank accounts in the country. But if he has (and I suspect he has) moved most of the monies to foreign accounts, then it is a lost cause for the FG. Unless they can prove that it is laundered money, which they cannot prove unless he has been taken to court and nailed for laundering charges, they cannot talk to the foreign banks/governments to release the money back. Kpata Kpata na another Abacha level go happen with the money trickling down in bits. In any case, made men like Tompolo place their money in hidden vaults and finance havens around the world like Switzerland, Cayman Islands, Bahamas, British Virgin Island... where no one apart from the account owner can take cash from the account (not even the US). Tompolo is one of the most powerful men in the ND region, so his people and associates will have to be heavily against him to give him up without a fight. Remember that the SS is not yet convinced of the intentions of PMB (coupled by his court actions and statements), so it would be hard to get his people to give him up (I'm not talking about his village people that are only concerned about the money, I'm talking about the other commanders in MEND, other militant groups, and the made men in the region)... It's a battle of individual interests. That is part of the quagmire. -Lord |
allthingsgood:It is an analysis not an argument. I am not taking sides, I am being objective (to the best of my ability and knowledge). As I have said, I am watching with keen interest how this plays out. -Lord |
tinsel:You did not answer the question. Is it PMB's fault or not? -Lord |
naijadeyhia:I don't know why you folks are avoiding the question I asked. Answer, should PMB be blamed for the N800m budgeted to renovate website by Fayemi? Quote me when you have answered the question. Else, stay off my mention. Let me jor give you my reply... Oga, it depends on the size of the company. For a smaller company, yes, you the manager will have to demand for accountability. In a large company, that is the job of the Audit department. In the FG, especially in a country as large as Nigeria, we have the Auditor-General and more importantly EFCC and ICPC who are supposed to ensure accountability. These are independent bodies and are supposed to report to the presidency directly. If the agencies did not do anything, who is incompetent, the agencies or the Presidency? The President cannot be chasing every single head of agencies and parastatals in Nigeria. Asking them what they used the money he gave them for. Look at the NIMASA man. Look at the guy in charge of the spectrum sales that received N34b from the sales, and pocketed N17b? Should we also blame GEJ for that? Be an adult. Learn to take responsibility and not to blame everyone for your corruption tendencies. Since you have not realized that, little wonder that Lai, PMB, APC and the present administration have not. Imagine the present minister of Agriculture, a professor for that matter, blaming GEJ for the spread of lassa fever. When GEJ handled the more deadlier ebola that killed 11 thousand people in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea. For reference sake, Ebola killed 20 in 3 months. Lassa has killed 43 (as at yesterday) in 2 months. I am not proud to say I have a high IQ, my posts prove it. I am not perfect. GEJ made mistakes, but can we all lay the blame game to rest? -Lord |
jmoore:Let me add to that. It is a crime against humanity. -Lord |
murphyibiam15:Glad you see my point. When we said PMB should follow the rule of law, they said they rather he be a tyrant. Now Tompolo has also decided to be above the law, and the same blood-thirsty people want to start a war in the relatively peaceful ND. To me, Nigerians are now more involved than ever in the governance of this country (especially at the federal level). If PMB follows the rule of law, these looters and criminals will still be brought to book, or there will be a backlash from the public. For example, look at the stiff bail conditions from the Judiciary? And the judges had made it clear that the bail does not mean that they have been acquitted. Which means, they will still be tried when all the evidence have been compiled. So it is very surprising why PMB does not want to honor the decisions by the courts? So far, he has not given a compelling reason. This is worrying. I hope PMB does not intend to contest again in 2019. Because he cannot count on Nigerians to use democracy to give him power again and then insult us to our faces by flouting the constitution and the rule of law that oversees the process. I want PMB to succeed, but I cannot bring myself to accept his methods. Whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well/right. All the best mate! -Lord |
tinsel:Oga, answer the question. Is it PMB's fault that Fayemi budgeted N800m to renovate website? When you answer the question, we can continue our discussion. Hypocrisy is shameful, don't be a part of it. Na advice! -Lord |
WebSurfer:What do you have against fat people. I'm not fat, if fat person chance you, no use me for target practice. You are the one who needs re-education. Are we talking about the fact that money was disbursed to Dasuki, or that the money that was disbursed to Dasuki was shared frivolously by the animal. Dasuki asked for money to prosecute the war. Jonathan brought the money for him. Now the idiot instead used the money to buy properties and shared with his associates. What is GEJ's fault here? What is your answer to my question? Should PMB be blamed for the N800m website renovation proposal by Fayemi? Answer or forever remain silent. You and your kunu-sipping dullard do not understand English. What is your local language, so that we can implore on a well-meaning Nairalander to translate this to your local language. You think we share the same IQ? I am better than you and you know it. Don't hate on me, na Baba God do am for me... -Lord |
sheilak:It's all about perspective. If you think they held ND to a standstill and not Nigeria, that's your cup of tea. But a lot of people, including me, will beg to differ. I am not speaking for the militants, I am only making an informed analysis of the situation. My advice is that PMB treads carefully. Anyone politicizing or making this about a region does not have the region, the nation and the citizenry at heart. Tompolo is not Nnamdi Kanu. -Lord |
Make that figure be lie. If na true (just N7.5m), PMB, mk God punish you, your family, and your full generation! How much u be one use tk fix cable for your driver? Idiat! -Lord |
patrickkkk:As in eh! EFCC and ICPC needs to probe all the parastatals and agencies. Even more importantly, we need to setup an accountability commission directly under the presidency that reports directly to the president. Because, as e be, all this nonsense never end, Fayemi budget N800m to renovate website. So even the leakages never block finish... -Lord |
bobchigar:No be because of say GEJ concede defeat to PMB, you go kon dey feel say PMB na god. Had GEJ contested that election, person like you for don dey bargain with Angel Gabriel now whether na heaven or hell you suppose enter. Look at history, ND militants (comprising Tompolo et al) are the first and only group in Nigeria to have held the military to a standstill. Ojukwu tried and failed, Yusuf tried and failed. Tompolo tried and succeeded. Keep dreaming! I am only concerned about the humanitarian costs of renewed hostilities in the region, I get family and friends for the region. -Lord |
biltem:Bros, if you will be truthful to yourself, the ND struggle is the first successful agitation in Nigeria's history. Tompolo, Boyloaf, Ateke Tom and others held Nigeria to a standstill before, they can do it again. The problem of underdevelopment in the SS even after the successful struggle is a different issue altogether. It also bedevils other regions, including the north, east, and west. So I fail to see your point. Lastly, the army under Jonathan killed John Togo, so I don't get your point. Let PMB retaliate. PMB is not Gowon! Mk him shift go one side. -Lord |
Pesuzok:If I knew, I wouldn't call it a quagmire. I'm watching the development of this issue with keen interest. I just laying bare the facts of this conflict, why it should not be taken with kid gloves and why PMB cannot afford to be reckless like he has consistently been since he assumed power. -Lord |
Proudlyngwa:You may be knowledgeable about other affairs, but when it comes to war, conflicts, and armed fracas you have zero idea of what you are talking about. I will stop replying you at this point. -Lord |
mbhs139: EdCure:I have one question for two of you. Should PMB be blamed for Fayemi budgeting N800m to renovate website? Dasuki received money to prosecute a war and he shared it frivolously, and you want to blame GEJ. Should we also blame GEJ for the N1t that got lost under Lamorde's EFCC? The thunder when go strike una for this hypocrisy dey receive combined instruction from Zeus, Sango and Amadioha! -Lord |
doctokwus:Bros, use your brain. How did they fight the FG to a standstill in 2008? Believe it or not, Tompolo right now is more powerful than he was in 2008. If you are not from ND and did not follow the Freedom Fight don't diplay your ignorance. Tompolo today is far richer and has acquired more weapons than he had in 2009. Do you remember that Nigerian territorial waters has the second worst case of piracy after Somalia? Those boys can bring in a rocket through the waters and nothing will happen, that's what I mean by the means and connections. How did they get their guns before? Their associates that buy their illegal crude are some of the world's most wanted people? Do you know the size of the illegal arms trade? If you have not witnessed war, don't yap about like a kindergaten. We are not talking about firecrackers. All those spurring the NA to war should be careful of what they wish for. We are in a recession and you want to fight a war with an undefeated war lord who is more powerful today than he was six years ago. The small money that we should use to develop the country would be used to prosecute the war? What about our soldiers that would be fighting wars on two fronts? Or the humanitarian cost of the war? A country must always pursue the most viable course of action that will lead to the least loss of lives of its citizenry. Right now, a war with Tompolo is not that course of action. -Lord |
doctokwus:Yesterday, Tompolo distanced himself from the attacks. Tompolo is in a quagmire. First, the success of the ND freedom fight was because there were a lot of groups with shared objectives fighting concurrently in different sections of the SS. Now, it is just Tompolo, and, if he was fighting, his reason for fighting would be for himself and not the region, which means he would not enjoy the wide support from the majority of militants. Two, most of the militants are already enjoying a massive welfare package and will be less likely to return to the creeks because of one commander's selfish interests. But with that said, we should all remember that Tompolo has been receiving at least N1b from the government every month in personal welfare packages and defense contracts since Amnesty started in 2009. That is aside the obvious bunkering he has been involved in as a side gig. Also, remember how he bought a war ship sometime ago? The fact is that at the moment, Tompolo has the money, the means, and the connections to prosecute a war on the Nigerian state without even been in the country. With the supply glut, low oil prices, and an army that is reeling from a challenging BH war, Nigeria will not be as ready to fight this renewed conflict as they were earlier under Yaradua. But then again, Tompolo can't just submit himself to the authorities. The authorities have a poor record of respecting the judiciary. That is the quagmire. Once again, thousands will likely die because of the interests and actions of a few. -Lord |
The NBC Director General Emeka Mba was arrested on Monday by the operatives of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for allegedly operating a secret account into which about N17 billion out of N34 billion paid by MTN Nigeria for the 700MHz license was kept.Blood of God! Wia I dey for this past administration when people dey chop billions and clean mouth? Abeg EFCC ride on! But more importantly, una must account for all the money when una recover. We no want another N1t to disappear like it did under Lamorde. -Lord |
MIKOLOWISKA:Na now day break for you? As the matter die you no like am? Abi are you obsessed with me? No worry, jor pick number, una don dey plenty! Good night jor! -Lord |
theV0ice:Too many reasons to stop replying you. Keep it up mate, reality will soon hit you like a sledgehammer. -Lord |
Abeg make una continue. This one na everybody mata oo. If you see anything wen no make sense for that budget, kon put mouth hia. If them like mk dem withdraw budget again, I no send. Mk dem withdraw am for as many times until them get am right. As that budget reach like 3 volumes, I know say PMB no read am. Udoma need to go for questioning. In fact, shey some ministers dey wen no get portfolio? Okay, PMB, b lyk say some ppl no like their portfolio, jor dey swap them sharperly... I am pro-GEJ, but this budget issue don dey vex me. All GEJ budgets were like this, now PMB own 1 still b lyk this, na swear them swear for this country? -Lord |
ta4ba3:If this story is true, then know that your brother is a hero. My prayers are continually with him and the gallant men of the NA, and other military arms involved in this now ending war on terrorism. May Allah grant them sustained victory! -Lord |
