Excuzeme:Guy, it is understandable that you have a problem with my username because of your inferiority complex or because you are a blind hater. However, that is not the issue here. No where did I say she should not charge him to court. I only said she should clear herself in the public domain by making a public rebuttal. What the lawyers will deliberate is not if she is actually guilty of those allegations. They are only going to deliberate on if the blogger can prove beyond all reasonable doubts that she is guilty of those allegations. Even if he can prove some but not all, the case will still be summarily dismissed. A public rebuttal from her like the spokespersons of influential figures in the society is to repair their name. Just charging someone to court still poses fundamentally logical questions about her innocence. -Lord |
adipemcanis1:Someone on this forum has called me a NIMASA employee, a looter under GEJ, a seaman, and an Igbo person, when I am neither of those things. I have offered to redeem my image in the public domain and have not charged the person to court. I did not say she should not charge him to court. I am only saying that she should also prove that those allegations are false. It is easy to do. After that, she can charge the guy to court for being used as a agent of discord, libel and to assassinate the character of a law-abiding citizen. If she can't disprove it, then discerning minds know she is only trying to use the courts to muscle the blogger. What she is doing is akin to how all those crime families do in the Americas. When you say something in the public domain against any top-ranking member, they either take you to court (knowing they do well to cover their tracks) or kill you. Who knows if she would have taken option B if the blogger was based in Nigeria. -Lord |
xmich:Please do. We don't want people exploiting the Judiciary for personal gains. |
Abeg those in charge of selling wailers form should find one for Senator Kaka. APC zombies, this man na APC senator, so e no get as una 1 twist am. Lai and PMB wen never enter Bornu dey Abuja and abroad talk say BH do not control any territory in Nigeria. Now an APC senator representing a senatorial district in the embattled state is saying otherwise. You guys should also note that under GEJ, Dalori was peaceful, but under PMB, children were burnt to death in the community. Only for PMB to call burnt children an embarrassment to his administration. Our able senator has also advised that people should not move back until security can be assured. He that has ears let him hear. We have heard from the horses mouth. Unless you reside in Bornu, do not quote me to type trash. PMB cannot say he is being truthful by calling Nigerians criminals abroad, and then lie that BH have been defeated abroad. That is hypocrisy!!! -Lord |
vedaxcool:Where are LAWMA officials? -Lord |
adipemcanis1:Yes it is a serious offence. But she should clear her name if this is false rather than try to suppress the facts. Right now, the court's take will be such that the blogger should prove beyond all reasonable doubts that Ms. Onochie is guilty of those allegations, something that even the authorities with more manpower and resources would find difficult to do. Ms. Onochie, as far as this case is concerned, is not required to prove that these allegations are false. Aisha Buhari watch for the inauguration was said to be worth millions. Today we know that was a false allegation because it was disputed in the public domain. Did Aisha take the proponent of that allegation to court? Let Onochie prove in the public domain that those allegations are false. After doing so, she can go forward to charge the blogger to court. In summary, she should prove these are false before going to the court. Tinubu might have won a case of libel against Dokpesi and AIT, but we all know he is no saint. There is no smoke without a fire. -Lord |
This Dasuki case go be like bone when go choke PMB for throat. You arrested Dasuki for mismanagement of $2.1b and are trying him for only around N13b. Then they wanted to try him in secret rather than with an open trial. Wetin una dey hide? Now, it is taking them 3 months to 'fine-tune' a case? That one no reach, them don dey conjure phantom allegations for more delay. Dasuki was arrested before Metuh, make una grant am him bail then start trial abeg. I can't wait. This season film go funny for PMB and APC. -Lord |

obailala:Attack the message, not the messenger. Answer this simple question: Are those solutions right or wrong? -Lord |
Because PMB is a partisan bigot. He is a Fulani and would do nothing. He is also a Sunni muslim, and sees the Shiites as infidels. I have not forgotten how he was against GEJ militarily responding against Boko Haram. If GEJ had not started this war, he wouldn't have started it himself. He changed tune from "any attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North" to "I will crush Boko Haram in 3 months" because of his greed for the presidency. Little wonder why 9 months on he has not defeated BH and is letting the Fulani herdsmen continue on their killing spree. PMB has nothing to offer Nigerians. All those who voted him did so because they hated GEJ not because they wanted a better Nigeria. -Lord |
obailala:ZOMBIE. You did not see the solutions he provided. -Lord |
EternalTruths:I think what the SS should do right now is develop at an astonishing rate despite the low oil price. Part of the appeal of APC was that Fashola, the comrade governor in his first tenure, and most other APC governors were making giant strides in their states when PDP was still the ruling party. If PDP governors can do that while the APC party goofs as the ruling party, PDP can claim the nation's seat in 2019 (though I would rather a different party came on the scene because these APC rouges will find their way back). -Lord |
Is Ms. Lauretta Onochie, not a member of the scandalous Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) that brazenly lied to Nigeria that Nigeria had been delisted from the Corruption Index put together by eminent anti-corruption agency Transparency International? A stance that I clearly put out for the irremediable shenanigan that it is in my featured thread--https://www.nairaland.com/2912264/debunking-lie-bmsg-nigeria-delisted. Rather than pray the court to silence someone for criticism, she should make bold to dispute the claims. Only then should she take the defendant to court on counts of libel and slander. -Lord |
Lalasticlala, obinoscopy, mynd44 make una come see beta tori. Abeg nak diz tin go front page. It take a lot for me to be impressed and this article has done so effortlessly. First it identified a problem, then it identified the cause of the problem, then it identified the symptoms of the problem, finally it offers workable and realistic solutions to the problem. It doesn't get better than this. This should be the poster child of wailing in Nigeria. I have maintained earlier on that wailing should cease being about insults and identifying problems (that time is over, like blaming should be over), we should start proffering workable and realistic solutions, and also be at the forefront of bringing these solutions to fruition. PMB is failing and we all are affected. Unless we want Nigeria to be auctioned before 2019, we should put our hands on deck and rescue this government. You might say, they did not do so to GEJ. That is understandable, I am pro-GEJ, but for the sake of Nigeria, let us not repay evil with evil. Like GEJ said in his inaugural speech in 2011, "My dear countrymen and women, being a Nigerian is a blessing. It is also a great responsibility. We must make a vow that, together, we will make the Nigerian Enterprise thrive." -Lord |
femi4:Guy send me your phone number mk me credit you small tin. At all, at all, na winch! Thanks mate. -Lord |
adipemcanis1:Who is pretending? Clearly you have not left the shores of this country. If you visit any country in Europe and come across a well-meaning Nigerian, he or she will tell you to ignore the Nigerian community for good reasons. I have repeatedly received scam messages in my mail and texts from fellow Nigerians. And I make bold to say that in some medium, I and most people on this forum have voiced our dissatisfaction about the criminality of our countrymen both home and abroad. So who is pretending? We already know it is a problem. Most of us are doing our best to correct the impression. The president should not sound something we already know in the most unwelcome of places. Why must he go abroad to say we are criminals? What does he or Nigerians stand to gain from making that statement abroad? Many Nigerians are struggling to get into the universities abroad. Many are trying to secure jobs. Many are trying to make an honest living. What happens when an employer or a faculty member reads this shit and tosses the application of a Nigerian in the bin? We preach the evils of marginalization everyday and that is what the president is doing unintentionally. Who would want to hire anyone with a reputation of being a criminal? Do you have an idea of the opportunities that would be lost because of his unguided statement. Do you know the size of the Nigerian workforce in the UK NHS (I am a health practitioner and I personally know and have the contacts of over a dozen people working or who at some point worked in UK hospitals)? You cannot become the president of a country without a certificate solely because of your ethnicity, then turnaround and screw the chances of people who are better qualified to govern a country than you would ever be. PMB is not fit to be a president in any sane country in this world. He is a stark illiterate who knows nothing about governance or diplomacy. He is too crude to represent the world's 21st largest economy in the 21st century. -Lord |
It is a shame that PMB is Nigeria's president. True, Nigerians have a reputation for perpetrating crimes. What about the Russians, Italians, Chinese with their institutionalized organized crime rings? Have their presidents made such utterances in a foreign country? PMB is also a terrorist because Muslims have a reputation for being terrorists. I hope this man knows that Nigerians in the diaspora sent home more than $20b last year? Our total budget is $30b. PMB does not even have the moral standing to make such statement. Did he not say that Abacha was not corrupt (i.e. he is not a criminal)? I am sick of this hypocrite with an holier-than-thou attitude that somehow emerged President of this country. Let me take a minute to correct this buffoonery. The president could have said something along these lines: "Although, Nigerians around the world suffer from a shallow stereotype of being tagged criminals because of the misguided actions of a minute few, I want to applaud the actions and achievements of well-meaning, hardworking, and law-abiding Nigerians in the diaspora, most of which I address today, who are doing their utmost best to correct this misconception. It is my sincere hope that we will not falter in this regard and Nigerians back at home and in the diaspora can count on my administration to support this remarkable effort through rooting out of indiscipline and our wholesome drive to address corruption." This is basically what the "Rebranding Campaign" by our dear late Information Minister Dr. Dora Akunyili (may her soul rest in peace) sought to accomplish. With the now ubiquitous tagline "Good People, Great Nation." PMB is taking this nation back in every imaginable way. Corruption is now sophisticated (look at the $30b 2016 budget), the economy is in tatters, INEC is no longer independent and elections are mired by utmost violence, our democracy is threatened by wanton disregard for rule of law and unbecoming comments from major stalwarts in the ruling party to probe seating Justices of the beacon of fairness and equity in the land. Now even the little integrity we may have is now ridiculed by the very person we elected to represent the good for which we would prefer to be known for. -Lord |

Achuwa1:Which youths? Is it not the same youths that accepted a nepa bill for certificate? That saw no need for a presidential debate? That said they would rather elect a pig than a seating president? That recently killed innocent people in the Bayelsa elections in the name of a scam party? Youths ko, Rogues ni. In other news, Lai just agreed that APC scammed Nigerians. They deliberately put their change in a form that would mislead Nigerians, knowing fully well that they would not be able to meet the high expectations the campaign was 'apparently unintenionally' making. In terms of blame game, Lai has finally blamed Nigerians. From GEJ to God to IBB to Nigerians. Who will he blame later this week? -Lord |
sapiosexual1:Then he will be making a wrong precedent. The only thing going for PMB right now is the anti-corruption fight. Every other thing including the economy is in shatters. If he does that to the Supreme Court Justices, he has sealed his own fate since the anti-corruption fight will be made useless. Court dates will be scheduled farther off, bail amounts will be lower, antics will be employed like judges refusing to handle a case. PMB is not the only person with a weapon here, the Justices too have a weapon. And let PMB not forget, he would leave the seat at a point, he could be made a scapegoat by the many enemies he is making, and the Judiciary would seat idly by. The Judiciary is unlike the other two arms that are made of elected officials. Those in the Judiciary have been there for decades. They eat, live the Judiciary. Disrespecting the highest court in the land will attract more scorn than PMB can handle. All these little errors he is making will attract penalties. Lawyers will spring left and right charging the government to court for flagrant abuses of power like the budget scandal etc. And the judges will make mincemeat out of his government. Let PMB start the war with the Judiciary and see if he or his party will come out unscathed. -Lord |
Pidggin:They cannot intimidate these Justices. They are simply blowing hot air. Probing a seating Supreme Court Justice (or in this case, all of the Justices) is a mistake PMB will never attempt. He will simply alienate the Judiciary in his government. All these threats are from idiotic illiterates giving mics to spell out their stupidity in a copious fashion. -Lord |
These APC people are very stupid. GEJ lost, everybody go house go rest. Una lose, person no go hia word. PMB cannot do anything to our esteemed Supreme Court Justices. Same way he can do nothing to GEJ, NOI, and Diezani. First it was Oyegun, now this idiot. APC supporters, una c una life? -Lord |
kpogede77:Guy, so you did not hear that the Supreme Court Justices started the trend with Ambode in Lagos. This is clearly a case of what is good for APC is good for PDP. Keep lumping everything into the tag of corruption. The wasted pile of trash of budget worth $30b is not corruption. The continuous lies and misrepresentation of facts by Lai, Oyegun, and other APC stalwarts is not corruption. That Amaechi used Rivers' money to sponsor PMB's election is not corruption. Yet you have the impetus to call our revered Supreme Court Justices corrupt. Show me someone in your lineage that has entered the Supreme Court Chambers to plead a case not to talk of sitting on those chairs. Una cup go soon full, make una dey misfire! Even if you burn yourself to protest the supreme court rulings no one will notice you. No one will be probed and no one will resign. PDP will stay for the next 4 years in SS. If you can't stand it, don't burden NL servers. GEJ lose, he dey rest dey chop im money. Una lose, person no go hia word!!! -Lord |
All these buffoons that cheap android phones have helped their lives. Can a person who did government in secondary school demand such trash! All these people that think because GEJ peacefully handed power to PMB, PMB is now a god and they are king makers. First it was Tompolo, now it is Justices of the Supreme Court. Toothless bulldogs and cows! PMB can never in his life, and I say this with all certainty, do zilch to those Justices. APC cannot do anything about it. If you don't like the judgments, create your own country. GEJ, NOI, Diezani, Tompolo, Supreme Court Justices would walk free throughout PMB's tenure and there is nothing you lot can do about it. Renegades and touts! -Lord |
We wail because the likes of Omojuwa have now lost the moral credibility to lead the charge against the same Government they told us would lead us to Eldorado, Utopia and the Elysian Fields.Word!!! Omojuwa, CramJones, OBJ, Madam Oby and every APC zombie turned Wailer do not have the moral credibility to challenge the actions of PMB, the FG, and APC. They are no better. You will find that if/when PMB, by some stroke of providence, begins to perform, they would hurriedly run back to the camp of the zombies. These fair-weather supporters of PMB were once supporters of GEJ. If things do not change soon and 2019 comes, these people will dump PMB like a plague and attempt to foster another mistake on the nation. I am not in anyway saying that patriotism should play second fiddle to partisanship, but there comes a time when as adults it is necessary to make decisions and take responsibility for the consequences of those actions. When you say you have no problem if a pig replaces a sitting president, that an electricity bill can replace a certificate, and that tyranny is far better than democracy; you have lost all sense, moral right to speak up against that which you stood for. In fact, you are laying curses on yourself. APC zombies, take responsibility for your woeful action to elect PMB. Do not complain about the budget, about the exchange rate, about the insensitivities to victims of terrorism, staining the image of the country abroad, overseeing the worst epidemic of lassa fever in the history of this country, and dwindling economy. Accept that you guys have failed Nigeria and Nigerians. -Lord |
olasupoolabode:Where LAWMA officials? -Lord |
ihatesycophant:My post was referring to the entire anti-corruption crusade not specifically Metuh's case. Especially with PMB saying the Judiciary is one of his prime problems in the fight. And the Zombies saying that they would rather have a tyrant than a president that follows the rule of law. We are not talking about the same thing. Which means that you misunderstand my post and the tangent I was coming from. -Lord |
Abeg nairalanders, with this news I am very concerned about the wellbeing of Omenka, Passingshot, NgeneUkwenu, modath and the other APC zombies oh. Abeg make una no kill unasef ooo, GEJ lost and the wailers are waxing strong, make una jor tk heart. After the reggae play the ... In other news, diz guy wen die so, na instant employment Devil go give am oo. Na to work for Department of Lies, e no go need CV, na special recommendation. RIP to the guy sha. -Lord |
smartwilly4eva:Trash! Metuh is currently on trial. Wait for the judgement. All these uncivilized people that do not value their freedom. Jor park go North Korea, we no go miss you. -Lord |
Odunayaw:@bolded, you are clearly delusional. Enjoy your backwardness. Yes, I am a better civilian. I'm done with you, you are a lost cause. -Lord |
Keneking:Oga easy na. Did you not read where the man said it is standard procedure. The crashes have been too frequent, there should be some investigation. I approve of the decision. -Lord |
Make una free Jega abeg. I supported GEJ, he lost, but please leave Jega out of it. He did his best. Naija too dey blame sef... -Lord |
