Family › Re: Here's What Happens When A Woman Knows You Love Her by LordKO(m):
Balderdash! It's just like saying that the way to stop institutional corruption in Nigeria is to make the the most corrupt Nigerian either an executive president of the country or minister of finance of the country.

Yes, men should love their wives - conscientious wives. Only a conscientious wife deserves, and can maintain and sustain, unconditional love of a sane man. She's the only kind of wife who can genuinely submit to her husband - she's neither servile nor disingenuous.

However, crass and/or expedient wives don't deserve unconditional love/altruistic act of conscientious husbands because they personify perfidiousness, insatiableness, imperiousness, subjugation, etc . . .  toxic in general. Only a foolish man will mistake disingenuousness of a wife in this class for genuine submission/love - may you never be a victim of the pernicious act of a woman/man in this class.

A man or woman without strength of character cannot give genuine love and submission, respectively - unfortunately, money cannot buy character. Peace obtained under mutual goodness/fairness is the only true peace.

Oshe!

It is more of stage thing:

A 23yr old guy would chase a lady (mode would now depend on his class):

A 30 year old guy put together would have women eating from his palms.

Ditto women, just flip the age.
Mama de mama! No vex, I've never chased a woman all my life and I've never known heartbreak, even as old man wey I be now.

I've always walked the walk without being hurt and without being the direct reason someone would feel hurt.

if men are the prize like you said. Then we won't bother chasing women. Even bride price won't be paid
Boys and small-minded men chase women; men/aristocratic men command women's attention and followership, not as subordinates though, and choose among them.
Politics › Re: Osinbajo Kicks Against Anonymous Ownership Of Companies by LordKO(m):
Proscription of strategic alliance between private establishments and government MDAs is the most effective way to curb corruption as it stands now, because major portion of the government's budget is being siphoned through strategic partners, not just through companies with anonymous owners.

Well, I'm not a trouble maker and I do not intend to be one. If your perspective of PRIZE is about choosing and it's ends after acceptance or declination lol well it's not harmful to any form of relation. However to play the devil's advocate tongue Men get to choose who to marry, women get to choose who to date (foundation of intending marriage) and whose biological gene/traits survive till the next generation(human continuity) Oya nah who's the prize now?

Now that's Me being a trouble maker angry
No vex, I didn't call you "trouble maker" literally.
Family › Re: Dear Black Man, It's Okay To Want The Best For Yourself. by LordKO(m): 11:59am On Jul 15, 2020
Ariza:
That was a typo. I know what context it's used... And I repeat nobody is a PRIZE or should feel like one in a Healthy relationship.
The moment you start feeling like a PRIZE please stay single!

BTW, since you believe Men are the Prize, mind sharing what makes them the prize? Infact please explain it to me... Maybe I can see from another perspective. Simple English will be appreciated..grin
LOL, trouble maker! Honour of choosing makes a man the prize, not because he's superior to the woman, and it ends after acceptance or declination from the woman. Any definition other than this or something similar from a man that leans towards superiority is embedded chauvinism.
Family › Re: Dear Black Man, It's Okay To Want The Best For Yourself. by LordKO(m): 11:11am On Jul 15, 2020
Ariza:
I agree with you but I have a problem with this PRIZE nonsense I keep reading everywhere. Why would anyone feel like a PRIZE? What makes you the PRIZE? Who made you PRICE. If a Man is the Prize shouldn't he be fought for, chased, proposed to etc. What good effect does being a PRICE have in Marriage? Is it right to have such ridiculous mentality in Marriage?

I don't have problem with people's choices or standards, I don't have problem with your thread op. But I believe it is unhealthy to have that PRICE mindset in a union because it only a matter of time before any partner who feels like the price start acting as one.
Prize isn't price, before you continue your. . . . Relax first and make effort to know the context prize is used.
Family › Re: Dear Black Man, It's Okay To Want The Best For Yourself. by LordKO(m):
Yes, a man is the prize - may a woman choose you for marriage remains a curse, forget about any nonsense wokeness, because in the end your sacrifice through action love is what'll mainly sustain the marriage while absence of it will mar it. So it behooves on you, as a man, to choose a woman who deserves your love - acceptance is of the woman.

However, citing your number one suggestion, I believe if he marries her because she earns a certain "minimum level of income," or solely because of any material consideration, the marriage will either end or become a hell for her peradventure she loses her source of income or becomes deformed to earn an income.

Well, only crass, expedient and disingenuous women deserve majority of your suggestions, not conscientious women, since they lean towards egoistic conviction like small-minded men.

Personally, I still believe that marriage should be based on mutual conviction of ethic - attribute is permanent. So to any conscientious man, marry a woman with whom you share same ethical leanings, provided that she's pleasing to your eye, not conventionally beautiful, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

A conscientious person is automatically a resourceful and productive person.

Dande55:
You think children will be dumb forever? Children grow and know who and who is being vile, self centred and wicked. You've never seen a case where the children come out to challenge their wicked and vicious mother for maltreating their father and not being appreciative? All these things you are saying, once the kids start growing, and start having sense, nobody will force them to take side.
Only few children have always been able to disentangle themselves from mental conditioning of either of their parents and they usually do so when it's too late. The same way only few people in toxic union have always been able to extricate themselves from stockholm syndrome.

In fact, it's near impossible for someone who's inherently either feeble-minded or egoistic to either disentangle or extricate himself/herself from either of the maladies, especially when the oppressing party still enjoys his/her evil and has the wherewithal to maintain it.

The easiest way to avoid being a victim is coming into equity with clean hands and accept nothing less too.
Family › Re: This Is For Men Only: Women Should Not Read This by LordKO(m): 11:59am On Jul 12, 2020
Dande55:
Exactly.
Whatever you sow, you shall reap.
It's actually not true that all husbands who have been neglected at old age by their wives and offspring are bad, that is an indirect way of proclaiming all women good.

Most husbands who have been neglected at old age are actually servile men who are victims of crass, expedient and disingenuous wives - timidity/lack of willpower/low self-esteem is the greatest undoing of servile men, and women, not their evil deeds. Men who have been neglected at old age because of their evil deeds are in the minority.

@ bold 1: the god of this new age is self. I have never seen a generation so selfish yet so unfulfilled. That's why they keep looking for the next fix, the next high to keep themselves temporarily 'happy'.

@bold 2: Hahahahahaha! Is it bullet drink or...?

Woke Muslims nko?
LOL, you won't know the kind of bullet and it won't be your portion. Meanwhile, every wannabe woke person is a Woke-Christian, regardless of their belief system.
Family › Re: This Is For Men Only: Women Should Not Read This by LordKO(m):
The advice is only suitable for men who have dysfunctional homes or those who hope to have dysfunctional homes.

The biggest dummy ever sold to this wannabe woke generation is that human beings are inherently self-absorbing and that, individually, one needs to remain self-absorbing in order to be safe and prosperous. Well, what's true is that human beings are inherently just and need to take to conscientiousness in order to remain safe, prosperous and fair.

As a man, and by extension husband and father, bulk of the family functionality or otherwise of it lies on your desk. Strive to conquer yourself without striving to conquer others and love others without hating yourself.

Working based on the postulation above, the onus is on you to be conscientious, marry a conscientious woman and be the best you can be to her manifesting it through your altruistic actions and equally be the best you can be to your offspring manifesting it through your altruistic actions too - reciprocation from them will be automatic. If the wife, however, one day decides to join Woke-Christian gang, a single bullet or something similar can do the magic.

The golden rule is sacrosanct.

Perhaps you've gone to hire a new man because whosoever you'll present now can never be among the illiterate and quasi-literate men around you before now who couldn't take up the challenge within the stipulated timeframe.

All the same, out of my magnanimity, bring him/them on board and appoint a Nairaland moderator of your choice as an escrowee, let me send the prize money through him/her before we start.

In fact, I'll double the money if he can also solve one basic CompTIA Network+ related question I'll ask him.

The grace period is within 3 hours.

The irony of this whole argument is, in reality, there are way more women doing this. There are so many women with paralyzed husbands and all.

Turn the table... The second you as a woman suffers any illness that makes you unable to function- e no go pass 1mth, you are back to your parents house.

Whatever the woman wants to do is up to her. 99% of Nigerian men won’t do same.
My Woke-C sista (aka ogunboy) has come again with her usual "opinion (derision)" which she's entitled to but other people aren't entitled to theirs once they express it by calling her out for her bullshit.

One of the people who hates campaign of calumny and sarcasm but dishes them out to others without an iota of humaneness. One among the many who believes that graciously indulging their nonsense means they're powerful and feared. Henceforth learn to express your opinion within the confines of decorum, else you won't enjoy the privilege of eating your cake and having it. Don't give me reason to hate you.

Before you start explaining away yourself on how you aren't a practicing Christian when I haven't inferred and assumed same, even when you knew that I know better, like you slyly did the other time, know that crassness and expediency are what made you a member of Woke-C, not your religious affiliation or otherwise of it. More seriously, the men in your life on and off Nairaland cannot be any better than the ones you despise here; if you think otherwise, invite them here if they can solve, individually or combinedly, one of five questions I'll ask them about Design and Analysis of Algorithms, I will pay them $1,000 or an equivalent amount in any other currency of their choice and also deactivate my account immediately. You've between now and the next 2 hours to take up the challenge.

Take up the challenge or shut up forever with anyone who's concurred and will concur with you.
