During our last argument, OldGlory rang me from Yankee, he told me how much he earn[ good money by all standard] but when he told me his outgoings, i can't close my mouth all because of ABROADLINESS.
you cant close your mouth because someone is comfortably paying for a high standard of living?

its not like Nigerians pay higher tax than everybody else or do they Mr akolawale?

In my days in UK, i am previledge to be doing one of the so called neat and good job but i am not better in any way BETTER than graduates who are road cleaners.
Actually people you would call mere plumbers, council bin men, builders (blue collar) in Nigeria are respected in the U.K they are in no way seen as inferior to those doing white collar jobs
The differences in class is not as apparent as in Nigeria people are not hell bent on getting rich and being celebrated by buying honorary degrees

PoliticsRe: Yar'Adua: President In Waiting? by LoverBwoy(m): 6:50pm On Dec 19, 2006
Ynot:
Just so we are clear, whats the action plan of Nigerian youths? How are they going to help solve the problem? Going to the moon because it's there material can't work. I've heard people here talk about revolution. What will be the outcome? If taking action means destroying the society and burning down the limited infrastructure we have ONLY, forget it.
didnt realise we have infrastructure

thats always the case, " the people that will suffer are the poor" Erm Bleep it they are already suffering, theyve been suffering ever since!!!
PoliticsRe: Yar'Adua: President In Waiting? by LoverBwoy(m): 6:47pm On Dec 19, 2006
The best position to adopt is to wish death to Yar'adua.

Nigerians should join me in wishing death to Yar'adua
nigerian should join me in wishing death to the south-south-south east leaders that voted for him in the primaries!

PoliticsRe: Yar'adua Picks Governor Jonathan Goodluck As Presidential Running Mate ! by LoverBwoy(m): 5:55pm On Dec 19, 2006
Yar Adua's records?. . .he also allowed the implementation of sharia in his state.
thats what the citizens want, they didnt really complain

The VP slot can go to the SS. But isn't it important that it should go to the best candidate in the SS.
Did Goodluck Jonathan even show any interest in running for President or vice. . .
We are sacrificing a better candidate to appease (if it even works).
I dont think yaradua himself showed much interest in the "top job"

there is no we in nigerian politics grin.
PoliticsRe: Politics And Religion: Is Nigeria Sending A Wrong Message To Africa ? by LoverBwoy(m): 5:48pm On Dec 19, 2006
lol
i read this post last night when you started it, i didnt get the point. i thought maybe BBC made a mistake.

This is one reason why some nigerian christians want to separate
i thought it was a particular ethnic group that wanted to separate, hmm didnt know the yoruba christains want the same thing

Afam:
Has OBJ ever been a muslim? Just asking, maybe there are a lot of things we still don't know in Nigeria.

CareerRe: Should I Go For Medicine by LoverBwoy(m): 5:39pm On Dec 19, 2006
Dont do medicine if you are not interested in the field.
you can do something that has to do with your first degree maybe Post graduate course or
do some I.T courses just to get more certificate and increase your chances of getting a job

You can also start your own business maybe an evening class for school children
If you are good with computers you can teach people how to use the computer and internet
TravelRe: Is Life Really Better Abroad? by LoverBwoy(m): 5:32pm On Dec 19, 2006
I then keep wondering what all the oyibos that live and work in Naija are doing , if actually its the case!!!!!
numbers dont lie, how many oyinbos are in nigeria thats if there is a record
what jobs do they do there?

bank workers leaving nigeria to become a taxi drivers in the uk should tell you something
how many bank managers will leave the uk for nigeria if not for some executive job usually above their qualification and experience and "freedom to do whatever they like becuase they are oyinbo"?

TravelRe: Is Life Really Better Abroad? by LoverBwoy(m): 3:27am On Dec 19, 2006
High cost of living High standard of living  smiley

1) What is the percentage of  people from ethnic minority that work in such places you mentioned?

have you asked what the percentage of ethnic minorities are there first place
What is the percentage of unemployment in Nigeria that is if there is a figure

2) Is there any killings in UK?
Please watch channel 4 news for just 2 days. There is plenty of killings in UK for just no reason.

there is plenty of killing in Nigeria for money rituals/inheritance feud, political gains, and thousands for no reason and they never appear in the news- are these killings OK or we just got use to them?

About 20 banks have been robbed in the last 6 months, several people killed/injured commando style robbery
1) was in the news for more than 1 day?
2) what did the police say about it?
3)what are the police doing about it
4) those that were injured, what happened to them?
5) what happens to the banks?

4) who are the pedophiles and what is their mission?

who are the rapists in Nigeria and what is their mission, how many have been caught, how many have been publicly named and shamed?

The only stories that are not paid-in-full are of the schlock-horror variety: a bushy area near a busy road in Ikeja with where women are taken to be raped every night (torn underwear litters the scene); 20 people shot dead in eight separate armed robbery attacks on banks in Lagos in one day last week etc. If any one of these stories occurred in the West, there'd be inquests and analysis and endless discussion (witness the ongoing East Anglian prostitute murders). Here, as soon as they appear they are yesterday's tragedies and silently forgotten. One only hears police sirens in Nigeria when a big man is being carted from A to B - never would you hear the police rushing to the plight of an ordinary mortal.
Naijablog

5) How many people resident in UK are can afford to send their kids to private Nursery and primary schools in UK?
Please don't preach the quality of their schools to me.

how many people in Nigeria can afford to send their children to private schools
hmm someone said obsanjo doesn't care about the poor- i think  "some Nigerians" don't even notice they exist!

6) HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE HAPPY WHEN THEY RECEIVE THEIR ANNUAL P60 IN APRIL?
P60 : is a document from government tax office showing the year's earning and tax paid.
how many people are/were apply when they received their monthly pay slip?
pay slips mini documents an employee gets every week/every month showing their earnings. not 6months later not 3 years later

how many graduates can afford 2 year advance payment for a flat in Abuja/Ph/Lagos?  cry

how much do u spend
bribing police man
bribing nepa
bribing the area boys
bribing the officials just to get you i.d

are these taxes? or just "normal"

10) Is it possible for you to allow your Kid to go to next building without supervision?
yes individual choice, is it possible to allow you kids play football in the field, is it okay if they are not reading 24/7, is it okay to allow them choice their own profession or career path? is it okay for your neighbours to call you kids to get water for you?
CrimeRe: Armed Robbery : Which Is The Way Forward? by LoverBwoy(m): 2:55am On Dec 19, 2006
- Or should the banks get ATM facilities to eliminate the need to carry around huge amounts of money?
Yes, banks and businesses should collaborate to make this available everywhere in the country. there just too much cash on show.

I think the police can follow up robbery incidents too instead of closing the case just after 24hrs

The police should keep a record of the number of guns and other ammunition in the station all the time so people wont sneak them off for robbers.

the rates will certainly be lower if there are more jobs for young people irrespective of the qualification, some think they can't work without a degree

EducationRe: Should Nigerian Polytechnics Be Converted Into Universities? by LoverBwoy(m): 1:04am On Dec 19, 2006

I think the best bet is to post all those BUTT on the nairaland, posting it into someone else mail box is unacceptable to all of us on this post, we don't want the ballot cast in secret, as we don't have confidence in the panel of judges appointed, we cannot vouch for their integrity neither can we trust them that they wont take bribe from the contestant, "oro sunnukun oju sunnukun la fi wo".
yea we don't trust people who speak in tongues either  grin
PoliticsRe: How Not To Explain American Foreign Policy To Your Child by LoverBwoy(m): 10:57pm On Dec 18, 2006
perhaps we should try American democracy on the British monarchy system
you dream too much

the British monarchy is "just there" they don't make laws they just say sign papers and drink tea with biscuit actually- ambassadors

i think the British foreign policy is far better than the American before George dubbya bush came along
