I stopped reading when I saw something to the tune of OBJ is a nobody and Asari's mother is a princess.... bla bla bla. I don't regard people by their family lineage but by what they have contributed and can contribute to humanity in their lifetime. Asari Dokubo. The ND militant who chose to build his university and buy up private property in Benin Republic bypassing his native ND. OBJ is far from a saint and his third term agenda put us where we are today (stuck with a daft president) but Asari is worth nothing in our national discourse. By their fruits they shall be known. |
solomon111: I'm sure you were one of those people that questioned the competence of NOI as minister of finance even with all her experience in the world of finance and international banking. Two wrongs do not make a right. So if indeed he questioned NOI's credentials as you claim, does that justify your confederates vilifying Sanusi without a genuine basis? All I see is tribalism. |
hercules07: Why are you wasting your time arguing with these guys, they are die hard Sanusi haters, someone who shouted when money was missing in the coffers is their enemy, it has been so for them in the last four years, nothing the guy did has been good, meanwhile their messiah Soludo messed up the banking industry and with the Stock Exchange woman "stole" people's investment. You have said it all. When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him. Jonathan Swift (1667 - 1745) |
Bro, Don't waste your breath on these tribal apologists. Because it is 12 or even 10 billion USD that is unaccounted for instead of the quoted 50 billion USD, it implies NNPC has been vindicated and Sanusi should be punished right? We are talking 1.9 Trillion Naira missing within NNPC. Deziani should be standing on hot charcoal now if GEJ isn't an accomplice. And we complain about the sorry state of the Nigeria la furia: Pleaseeeeee, jeopardising what, tell me, did the subsidy scam jeopardize the government? Look nothing will shake this government even if it is a trillion dollars corruption. |
#OBJ: your result is woeful, useless son! (6/10) #GEJ: Baba, u 2 failed. You laid a poor foundation so I cant perform (5/10) Real issues were largely avoided. I'm sorry for Nigerians |
I look back and wonder... How did we get here? Not even the Dutch courage from Kindo. |
kennypoka2: are you cr@zy or wat? oh God I really love ma country but if ppl like this still exist then wre are we heading too... y must u make everything tribal differences.. we are all one Nigeria. we all see qat is happening here or are you blind. u keep praising Jonathan. is something there for you or u are plain stup!d. pls just shut up and Neva talk again idi0tic fellow.. ma country shall b great whether we have ppl like you or not.Don't burn your e-time on this fellow Magical Bishop or so. He's a Jonathananian or a even worse- a sympathiser. His antecedents are clear. He doesn't want to hear that the letter could be fake and the suspects would be his Kindergarten confederates. Have some peace. |
Gamji007: Please, don't ever quote me if you have nothing reasonable to say? How does her letter affect Nigerians? That is her fuccking family grugde!I agree with you with less caustic adjectives. It is a grudge letter that is of no service to the Nigeria populace. Whether she wrote it herself or was made to look like she did. |
Bishop Magic: And OBJ's Son's can opener under oath in a court proceeding was also fake. That is why I have provided three possibilities, of which, you quoted the first only. I want to assume you're not a hundred percent certain that this letter was crafted by Iyabo Obasanjo as we know her. Reply if you dispute my assumption otherwise God speed to you too. PS. My point is don't rule out the possibility of the Jonathanians (Okupe, Abati, Maku, Kashamu, Wike) involvement in this. |
It is one of three possibilities or their combinations 1. This letter is fake and the handiwork of the Kindergarten folks (slow man and his peeps). It is not beyond them. 2. It was written by Iyabo hence very contrived and self serving. Quite needless. 3. An extension of 2. It is Iyabo's and she's totally goofed. She's thinks she's extricating her political future from the legacy of her dad but she grossly miscalculated.... Especially in a country like Nigeria. I won't explain further. |
More pics needed. Interior and engine. |
obadiah777: nigga its too cold to step out let alone commit crime. the hotter the weather the more hormonal stimulation and testosterone is one of the hormones that make you aggressive. the colder the weather the less hormone stimulation. so the cold weather deters people being outside and less hormone makes you less aggressiveNo be small excuse be this one. How China, India, Singapore, Brazil or even Ghana go come talk? |
Police in Iceland have shot dead a gunman - the first time armed police have killed someone in the country. In a BBC News Magazine feature originally published on 16 May, 2013, US law student Andrew Clark asked why Iceland, awash with guns, has one of the lowest violent crime rates in the world. Full article here - - > http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25201471 The summary of this article is that 1. Promoting a near classless society (egalitarianism); and 2. Preemptive policing of social ills like drug usage and criminal acts appear to work so well for Iceland. I look at Nigeria and how she can benefit from this. Our national policies are here and there (incoherent). NIPSS (National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies) Kuru is a shadow of its former self. Ideally all public leaders should pass through this institute. A comprehensive Nigerian policy is not thought in schools so that it can be imbibed early on. The closest to social democracy (as practised in Iceland and Nordic countries- economically successful and socially responsible countries) in Nigeria within the SW and I see elements of it in APC (note that I have no formal affiliation with the region or the party). Kindly read the article in full and share your thoughts. All viewpoints are welcome but insults or personalised attacks are discouraged. |
tensor777: This is an example of a thoughtful well-balanced post not the scurrilous nonsense the likes of flynaija and lrnzh have been spewing. For where? You claimed earlier that FGN funds are limited but corruption is rife so much that the FGN is synonymous with corruption. Close thread before all the truth about incompetence and greed in high places are exposed. It is your future generations that will be in the position to judge your antecedents better. |
tensor777: You say its not personal and yet this is an example of your nonsensical posts here. You can't even comprehend the context of discussions. I brought up the fact that there were subsidy protests in Jan. '12 in Nigeria but nothing useful has been done by the GEJ Gov't to alleviate the issues raised.... ie functional local refineries, effective and affordable means of transport, security and constant power. You're there talking about the definition of subsidy. I surmise that you're either still in school or poorly educated. Get the context before you counter argue. |
tensor777: Imagine some ignorant posters saying that Nigeria does not need 22 airports.Figures you pulled out of your @rse. Educate yourself since it is clear you don't know the value of railways in economic and social development: http://mostlyeconomics./2011/03/01/the-importance-of-railways-in-urban-economics-and-society-development/ http://www.steerdaviesgleave.com/news-and-insights/Economic-value-of-railway-stations-under-estimated http://www.railwaypro.com/wp/?p=758 |
tensor777: Another dumb argument which exhibits both your shocking level of intellectual shallowness on the one hand and lack of discipline on the other hand as you keep going from one unrelated topic to another. If you want to talk about the Federal roads network go and open another thread for that. This is not personal. Your response above to K0ala7 and your other responses are pointers to the fact that you have no business near serious matters bothering on national planning, policies and developmental discourse. Your attempt to foray into economic analysis proves that your requisite knowledge and experience are barely half - baked at best. You sound like planning / constructing roads and railways are akin to sending rovers to Mars. No wonder Nigeria is the way it. Minds like yours.... |
ubongutioh: In how many places would 250M make 19B.The 250M that got exposed. It's just a tip of the iceberg. |
Most 'best friends' will bleep your gf, fiancee, wife, ex wife, sister, mother, daughter etc if she's wayward or easily tempted. Trust no one but me . OP, to err is human but to forgive is divine. It won't be an easy task but truly bear no grudge against them- friend and ex gf. Do not keep malice but being acquaintances will work. I bet you that girl will bleep your friend again after her cries for you end. It will happen with or without you as bf. It is human nature. You're young. Expand your horizon. Move on with your life, make new friends and get a new gal. You're just learning life lessons at the right time. Imagine if you caught her after you had raised two kids of another man with your ex as wife. Nothing to feel ashamed or bitter about. Have a great one amigo. |
ROSSIKE: It is obvious you guys do not travel around Nigeria. No administration has done more than current one to rehabilitate and reconstruct the federal road and rail network. Even the road transport operators can't stop praising the govt for the way it's transforming the roads.Your usual support of the Kindergarten President. Stop making anecdotal statements and get down to specifics. Which roads are you referring to? How long has GEJ been President for (not counting his time in Gov't as VP, Governor, Dep. Governor)? East-West road, Umahia-Port Harcourt road, Lagos - Benin road etc have not had any succour. These are even roads in and around his geopolitical zone. As 2015 elections approach, PDP is now deceiving people by claiming to award contracts for roads rehabilitation. We are not children. The infantile tactics employed by the Kindergarten Gov't is too clear to see. |
Jenkizo: Jonathan will never stop amusing Nigerians. What about Alams that he pardon? He Jonathan even stole Beyelsa's money than Sylva. The other day his EFCC were after Lamido but immediately after the meeting with Lamido and Aliyu Babagida, the case is fading away. GEJ's style of politics is too childish and predictable. The Governors of Abia, Benue, Plateau, Kogi, Anambra, Ebonyi, and all the rest are busy stealing from Left, Right and Center without being questioned for one day by EFCC including Stella Oduah, Otedola, Bamanga Tukurs' son and co. This selective persecution will not curb corruption for one bit rather it ridiculing the system. Anyway 2015 will surely elude the Ijaw General. We are still aware how N7billion was spent on Somebody's foster mothers burial.Again ElRufai was apt when he coined the phrase 'Kindergarten President' Absolute lack of tact. An insult to 170M heads. |
pmc01: 'Fresh evidence' has emerged days after his public romance with the APC?Kindergarten Gov't with infantile tactics. |
K0ala7: So it still hasn't occurred to you that in a right-thinking economy that wants to modernize their transport they do the obvious first, which is to develop the cheapest means for goods and the masses to move around and carry out their businesses (road and rail). In the same Nigeria that will put a commercial airliner in holding pattern for half an hour (correct me if i'm mistaken) because wealthier people who very well know they could afford to use the military airport think it is a smarter idea to all leave the already hectic PH International at the same time.I believe you will agree that common sense is not common. The double poster ROSSIKE / Tensor777 doesn't understand the importance of functional roads and railways. He thinks airports are the solution to all transportation issues. |
K0ala7: Why does Nigeria need 22 airports in the first place? We could have 2 airports in each geopolitical zone and one in FCT and do a better job maintaining those. If it wasn't because of the state of our roads, there is no reason any one should leave his house in port Harcourt an hour before the flight for the airport and then fly for another half hour to 45 mins to Warri. It would be much more convenient to just drive from your house straight here in an hour and a half. This doesn't even factor in the time that you need to add because of the crazy traffic in our cities. You hit the nail on the head. If the roads and rail lines were functional, the 22 airports na overkill for a country that cannot maintain them. Massive remodelling works that costs N7.5 billion are going on at 11 airports (Not 22) in Nigeria, but their integrity is put to question because the fund in use was not captured in 2011 budgets, contracts were not bidded for, and evaluation of contractors was not properly done. The monies spent on the remodeling would have better been utilised in developing the rails transport, building dual carriageway and providing security and emergency services on those roads. The cost and ease of transportation, and the cost of goods would be affected. The 11 airports remodelling will have little impact on the bottom line. They shall start charging higher airfare to recoup the huge monies been spent. |
tensor777: Don't mind the guy. Despite the name, flyinnaija, the guy just de talk nonsense. It's easy to notice multiple accounts. Red flags: ROSSIKE and tensor777 never view the same topic at the same time, always corroborating each other's statements and never post in near parallel. Mod check IP addresses. |
K0ala7: Oh, and just another experience from my last time at MMIA. I was just clearing security and the officer went to check something on my passport so i engaged in conversation with another immigration guy. So he notices that I'm sweating and was talking about how a lot of Nigerians who stay abroad and foreigners always sweat when they come through. He mentioned that the air conditioning was down for maintenance, but that he was happy it was down. I asked why and he said, since they have to be there all day and barely move around, the cold gets to them unlike passengeres that have to lug their stuff around the terminal building. What happened to room temperature? At 25 deg Celsius everyone mobile or inactive will function well except theyre ill or something. D guy just dey yarn. |
callmenow: The OP does a disservice to the intelligence of the readers who use the airport. I have been traveling through the aforesaid airport for the past thirty years. There is definitely an improvement. The present administration has not taken away the 'good' amenities. Reason being that there has never been any amenities. Time was when we used to arrive in utter darkness after a six hour flight. Last time I ate at this airport, I nearly died from Montezumas revenge. There has been instances when the tarmac light doesn't work either, we will end up leaving Lagos to Europe around three AM instead of ten-thirty PM the previous day. Lagos airport smells because of the environment, the staff at the airport, (security agencies), airline staff and the trolly dollies. These people often sleep at the airport and maintain poor hygiene. Normally when airports are renovated, they are closed until the renovation finishes. This is the case with Heathrow Terminal Two in the UK. The FED could have commandeered MMA2 for the duration of the renovation to MMIA. I understand the operators refused to negotiate with FAAN. We should be grateful that 'some' work is actually being done. Nigeria human content needs to improve it's hygiene, etc. It is not the job of Stella or Goodluck to bathe the Nigerian personnel at the airports. Equally they must not be blamed for the bribery at the airports. I have been paying this for the past thirty odd years with pleasure. The trick is to take some of the on-board liquor and 'dash' it to the immigration and customs, and wish them well. It works all the time.Permit me to ask. What are you tipping them for? What courtesy do they render? |
Underground: The blast of hot air that hits you when you disembark from the plane; the authorities that shamelessly salute (or harass) you all part of the effort to entice some change out of you; the airport staff that forgo all decency and focus all their attention on the VIPs amongst the passengers sucking up to them every step of the way; that escalator just before passport control that never seems to work where disembarking passengers always converge to a dead stop in the midst of the hottest area of the airport and that horrid voice over the crackling public address system that you refuse to believe is meant to serve you. Yes, MMIA is the stuff of nightmares and a perfect introduction to what awaits you as you enter Nigeria. What beats me are 1. The stench as you disembark... Unbearable 2. Nigerians who have been orderly, following queues in other airports start jumping queue, pushing and shoving once they get into the MMIA. Stark reminder that were back in a disorderly nation. 3.Sirens from convoys everywhere as you leave the airport inside heat and traffic. Make average citizen kuku die. |
FlyinNaija: Utter Bullshit! No foreign investor wants to invest in Nigeria due to the high risk. Nigeria is the biggest market for business aviation in Africa but all the business aviation manufacturers have refused to invest due to risk as a result of erratic policies (no aviation minister has had more erratic policies than the current one, FFK comes in as a close second). The $3000/4000 charge for private aircraft is proof of lunatic policy making. Bombardier Aerospace who supply the highest number of business jets to Nigeria is opening a spare parts depot in SA instead of Nigeria due to this risk despite Nigeria being their biggest market. He (ROSSIKE) thinks that patriotism means you have to support and sing praises about every situation/thing in Nigeria ala Ruben Abati throwing common sense to the wind. With the population we have, the fact that we communicate with English officially and we are in a similar time zone with most of Europe, we should be the outsourcing hub of the southern hemisphere. All these cement company's coming to invest... Na cement we go chop? Security, refineries, power, transportation, quality education and healthcare are what we ask for but have been disappointed time and again. Since the subsidy protest of January 2012 what has changed? Please stop deceiving us with these investors that keep coming while our Gov't is stealing and buying bullet proof vehicles. |
ROSSIKE: A lot of these things you've mentioned have seen significant progress in recent years. Investors are QUEUEING UP AND FALLING OVER EACH OTHER to invest in the Nigerian economy today. Reasons? Better governance and financial management. (The likes of Okonjo-Iweala, Sanusi, and Aganga are world class economists and technocrats who could run any economy in the world), improving infrastructure, govt support for the diversified, non-oil sector like construction, retail, agriculture, telecoms and manufacturing, and finally, due to a rapidly expanding middle class (Africa's largest - which puts a lie to the claim that things are not getting better)2006 thread. That was during OBJ government in the case of Nigeria and a lot have changed since then. GEJ, Yar'adua etc have happened to Nigeria. Those who have heads let them think. |
ROSSIKE: I'm glad you noticed he's a foreigner.LOooooool. Cheap shots Dancing skelewu. |
Tensor777 / ROSSIKE, Were not quarrelling oh. Na just talk and argument o. Make una take this link relax abeg: https://www.nairaland.com/1537789/most-powerful-pictures-taken-nigeria One luv my brothers. |
