Jesus himself never found Christianity, dude was a full on jew practicing Judaism throughout his life. His teachings and life formed the basis of the Christian faith, Paul would be a more worthy founder. |
InvertedHammer:Pedantic but technically speaking the original version of the bible was in hebrew not greek. It was later translated into greek(Septuagint), and then aramaic(Targum) before the latin(Vulgate) and then others. Rest of your points raised remain valid though. |
Decent writeup and writing style. Thoughts succintly put across. Most of the differing views in Christianity didn't just come out of nowhere its been there from the origins. Right there from the disciples and apostles and long after em. Most of the ancient forms of Christianity are not even known to people in the world today, since they eventually came to be reformed or stamped out. As a result, the sacred texts that some ancient Christians used to support their religious perspectives came to be proscribed, destroyed, or forgotten – in one way or another lost. There's been a lot of tussle and there'll continually and perpertually be a lot of tussle. That's what happens when objectivity is absent, leads to the most interpreted text in the world. At least the origin of Christianity doesn't pretend to have any objectivity, so they kind of embrace the diversity and subjectivity of interpretations in the Tanakh. |
Lol! This confirmed charlatan. |
JASONjnr:Have you read the bible? Same senselessness applies there, quaran?! same thing. |
Kobojunkie:Typical! Called it though, "hubris has to hubris". Can't even make sense of what u'r saying, learn to proofread and get rid of ur typos. Like i said quite simply "go educate urself" instead of showcasing your loud ignorance, i could spoon feed u the info like you're 5 which is typical' but u'ld have to ask for the references. u obviously won't though cause... Ask and you shall receive, else take ur dense mind that way 👇🏾 Junkie with the itch 😏. |
Kobojunkie:Or or... hear me out... you could just say anonymous person i'm ignorant of this claim please educate me about said claim with references added as well. Foreign concept to you i know, you prefer the rabid approach, you itch for it. Kill the ignorance, mention me if you need me to educate you about my claim, ill add refs as well. Doubt it tho, cause hubris has to hubris😁. tick tock! |
Kobojunkie:Of course the resident rabid fellow that always got an itch to scratch. Im sure u've got access to a plethora of resources, why not educate urself instead of loud ignorance. Or better still ask for references to cure said ignorance on the central claim. I'll be happy to oblige.😏 |
illicit:Not really but I have this special gift, i read and i know things... lol! Seriously though its in the bible and its most times nothing like cupid. |
Veecruz:Your daft reasoning always shines through "dtruthspeaker". Told u ill be ignoring ur dumb ass, different monikers won't stop ur incoherent daft reasoning from being spotted. 😄 |
illicit:I don't know if they're ugly or beautiful but i know they look nothing like op posted. More like 👇🏾

Quick thought! If these "giants" actually existed why haven't we found any evidence for em especially archeologically, especially since we could find that of the dinosaurs that existed way before humans. 🧐 For the answer to your question Its cause it makes a fascinating story. |
illicit:Wait till you find out what angels supposedly look like. Then you'd understand the phrase "Be not afraid". |
Tourist42:Of course its contradictory, lots of contradictions. Judas' death is another major plot hole with the differing accounts in Matthew and Acts. |
Nyanabo:Says who?! Educate urself. Lots of species do, even the cute hamster does. |
Same fundamental instincts drives most animals to do what they do, humans as well. We're already genetically programmed to be the way we are, not some mythological punishment for abuse of free will. Survival, Self preservation, Reproduction and Fear are basically why we do what we do and act how we act. Its the same down the food chain all the way to the bottom. |
Strict doesn't even cut it. It's interesting how ur hyping up all his terrible qualities. A hypocrytical, narcissitic, impulsive, confused, murderous, racist, rape apologist, child killing sociopathic being. Funny how he supposedly changed his ways when its claimed he doesn't change and even then he still needed blood from the killing of his child cause he couldn't just outrightly forgive. Apt portrayal of a sociopath is what you have in the mythological book called the Tanakh or should i say "Old Testament". Basically just myth, nothing more. |
Trash |
CharlotteFlair:Idiot! 😂 You just gave me hiccups from laughing hard. |
gohf:You simply cannot ergo looking for an out. Typical. |
Veecruz:That's ur proof of "Spiritual Judgement" in the afterlife!😄 Ok seriously, i wasn't expecting anything sensible but wasn't expecting something obtuse either, quite typical. Anyways which of the gods is doing the condemning of souls... Is it Anu, Enki, Enlil, Marduk, Inanna, Ereshkigal, Ra, Hades Baal or let me guess El 🤔, the chief god of the pantheon of cannanite gods before assimilation into other ancient near east religions. No?! Yhwh right or his consort Asherah. Let's go with Yhwh then, the warrior god sure loves torture and condemnation as can be seen from his various genocides in the error ridden and historically inacurate Tanakh or Bible as you call it. Anyways if there's going to be condemnation of souls y'all are already condemned 😁 cause you guys cant even agree on a single interpretation of your religious texts hence the tens of thousands of denominations interpreting their own variety of delusion. Would've been inclined to take a united front more seriously but at least 40000 different denominations with varying interpretations!!! Nah... I prefer to watch you guys in your mental box participate in your differing illusions and delusions. I'll watch from the sidelines, thank u very much. You guys could do home and away. Maybe god of catholics tortures erring pentecostals and then god of pentecosals tortures erring catholics. Big joke. |
Veecruz:Its a simple thing show proofs with hard objective facts or keep ur fear mongering for simple minded smooth brains like urself. |
gohf:Quite simple really, prove it then. No plenty talk. |
gohf:Like i said hypothesis and subjective opinions. Non of what you said can be proven with hard objective facts. Absolutely non. |
The purpose of life?? Truth is no one knows. What you get are mere hypothesis and subjective opinions at best. Absolutely no one knows our purpose here. |
RealLordZeus:You are right and also wrong. Right cause Moses most likely didn't write any books and this is the first time ive come across the claim of Moses writing Job. Normally its that Moses wrote the Pentateuch/Torah. As for your second claim you're wrong Paul alone wrote 7 out of the 13 books attributed to him. As for a lot of the rest, its the usual pseudepigraphy. |
"The book does not have any of what you describe at all" Yeah... I'm going to press x to trash that. I think its safer for me to rely on proven facts by academic scholars who've all made significant head way in biblical studies than some anonymous rando on the internet that says "No" lol! especially when the central claim and the contradictions to said claim is quite obvious. "2. I read the Epic of Gilgamesh -- I did so recently too-- actually and I came away believing that there were similarities that existed in one particular idea with the Noah story contained in Scripture but the stories were all too very different at the same time. So, let's stop making this vague connections where no serious contacts even exist.." Yet again i'ld trash the randos pov and rely on the pov of the life work of academic scholars who have made these connectiions and established how the flood story from the sumerian texts which is the oldest civilization(4000BCE before Genesis texts in about 6th Century BCE) influenced the same story been retold by and across other near eastern texts of other mesopotanian civilizations. The isrealites been one of them as they were part and one of other cannanite groups. Except u've conducted your own studies and published it to be accepted by the wider acaedemic community, saying contrary is just empty noise. I'ld suggest you educate urself, i could recommend books from renouned academic biblical scholars not fundamentalists/ apologists, that's if you want. 😏 "3. What exactly are you on about? Am I to take it that you read the book seeking objectivity regarding what exactly? Less varied deductions? What in the world are you on about ? Look up the meaning of the word "inspired" and tell me what you understanding is then of this "divinely inspired" idea of yours." Quite sure i was clear enough as you helped me in confirming my point with the 40,000 + denominations you mentioned. If you still don't get it then im sure you could get a dictionary to assist you and maybe also check the meaning of "inspired" alongside your study. Don't forget to mention me if you need those rcommendations. You could start with Dr Bart Ehrman, he's my fav. |
MaxInDHouse:First of i'm not an atheist. Secondly how rather convenient what u consider truth is based from ur narrow minded pov and not fact. You have every right to enjoy ur grandeur delusions. |
Kobojunkie:If a book has multiple possible varied decutions when its claim is a singular one then problem's not the people but the book. No one reads the epic of gilgamesh or other epics or say the decent of Ishtar and comes to extremely varied conclusions even though they're much older than the bible. Even books covering more complex topics like astro physics, time dilation, quantum mechanics have less varied deductions and are more conclusively objective than the "divinely inspired" book. Somehow its mainly and almost always religious texts with this problem. Or is it not the same set of people reading other books and coming to objective conclusions?! |
MaxInDHouse:Lol! As objective fact or disillusioned imaginative info propped up by confirmation bias. |
