LordReed:Its also quite funny how they're quick to pile on insults and ad hominems while claiming to be "Christians" defending their bible and God. Makes me wonder aren't christains meant to be like christ again. I dont think christ used insults, he simply debated and argued his points to those Rabbi's and Pharisees. Proves the so called christains are just one sad unfunny joke. |
jaephoenix:Exactly. Religion is simply a precursor to science. How we understood the world before we hd a better understnding of the world. |
advanceDNA:While you have a point of people using false context of data to drive a certain narrative, in this case it's not so, she's actually right. Just as joysticks have different sizes, so do vaginas. Genetics, age and childbirth affect the size never joysticks, also like men when aroused its shape changes like blowing a baloon sort of. The attached image was a project where an internal cast of the vaginas of a couple of women where done to corroborate this. You can see the different shapes and sizes. Hence why some women prefer bigger joysticks others prefer smaller or average.

Basically its because religion is simply a precursor to science and a cultural understanding of the supernatural or God. Most religions are embedded and grow from the cultural understanding and practices of the area where they originated hence they'll be th centre peice of that story. It's just that some dominated and spread rapidly primarily through conquest. There are over 8000 religions and all these have sects in them, Christianity alone has about 10000 plus sects. You have arabs as muslims, asians with buddhism, taoism..., Israelis have judaism, europeans with christianity, africans and their various religions, Indians with hinduism, shiekism etc. If you check all these out, the indigenious people are centre peice to the narrative of that particular religion hence the phrase God of Isreal. |
NuCypher:It's crazy man. Even down to accident victims, you see animals snapping and recording to put on social media instead of keeping the victim's privacy or helping the victim. That said, this lady is most likely on opiods than tired, she's obviously "nodding". It's possible but higly unlikely that tiredness would make you sleep off in a noisy, busy environment while actively interacting with someone, opiods would do that though. Besides if you apply Occam's razor you,ld go with opiods. |
Lukepeter:I literally lol'd when i read his response. Dude thought of a comeback and doubled down on the dumb take with something dumber. |
Jewessgratitud3:Lol! Ignorant and dense, you're unique. |
Jewessgratitud3:Another ignorant take been peddled as fact, the hubris on this thread is outstanding. You've stated this crap like 3 times and its nonsense. Why are u comparing the strength of bamboo to concrete?Do u even know what concrete is? Is the bamboo replacing concrete? Isn't the bamboo part of reinforced concrete just as the steel rebar is? Why not compare both rebars instead of comparing one of the rebars to concrete without rebar or is the bamboo something else? The irony of "Do Your Research", go educate urself man and thrash this opinion. |
Cowbell521:Are u minding the ignorant chewbacca claiming materials engineer. An engineer that says bamboo ultimately has higher tensile strength than steel without considering their different grades and the mean. Doesn't even know the difference between iron and steel. Hubris is worse than alcohol. |
CoronaVirusPro:Bro these people are something else. Its littered all over this thread ignorantly and confidently. That's why context matters with data if not its misrepresented. They are not taking into context that there are different types of bamboo and steel with different grades ergo different strengths. The lowest grade bamboo has lower tensile strenght than the lowest grade steel and the highest grade steel far surpasses the highest grade bamboo, even in compression as well. So obviously some bamboo would be better than some steel cause there's overlap but if you consider them singular and take the mean, then its obvioulsy steel. They could be as strong but not stronger. Smh. |
FreeStuffsNG:Its not iron its steel. Rebar steel, steel is an alloy of iron i.e iron + carbon and other elements. They're different. |
Crenzywilliams:This is the beauty of social media, the frigging irony. Calling out others for ignorant insights while making even more ignorant insights. Amazing! In what world does bamboo have a greater tensile strength than steel. Steel has way better tensile strength than bamaboo even with the caveat of type and grade. Besides you're all mentioning tensile strength as if that's the only quality that matters, what about compressive strenght and bond properties to the concrete mix? Those bamboos are smooth not rough like steel rebar, then not even talking about the size requirement of the reinforcement. This whole thing might actually work but its still experimental and shouldn't have been used yet cause i seriously doubt we've carried out enough testing to use this commercially. Hopefully this doesn't bear similarities to the ocean gate sub where innovation was pushed too far too soon, without rigorous testing and concerns for result of those tests, with costs being the primary motivator. |
If you still have hopes and dreams for this country, you're the most optimistic person ever and that kind of optimism would drown you. Apt analysis though, data is really art. Although i can't help but notice the lack of context of population, eligible voters and maybe demographic as well. Would hv painted a better picture highlighting these issues, like im sure more men would vote than women for several reasons, one being security. The apathy is too damn high and the last elections just exacerbated it. Nigeria's problem is not necessarily its leaders, that's just a symptom. It's us as a people. We are way more flawed than the average human and that's putting it mildy. Selfishness, greed, lack of foresight... any negative trait is amplified and positive traits minimised. We always take the mean down, hardly up. Anywhere u go from top of the pyramid to the bottom rungs, its the same. Wipe out everyone of our leaders at every level in the country and replace em with new ones, its the same. Its the culture, the way of life. Our values and value systems are rotten, its innate, so the negative traits amplify causing negative energy to dominate and feed itself in a loop. There's no balance. In working societies, they have way better values and systems that are ingrained so it feeds in a positive loop of energy . Positive traits are amplified, negatives minimized not like its not there. So there's balance, it even tilts more positive even though there are still serious issues, humanity is f***ed. Humans are basically similar everywhere but our levels in africa are so off. Like we are the beta test or runt of the litter. The only way is to create better values and value systems to imbibe in our yet unborn generations so they'll help us evolve faster cause nothing u do in this lifetime would work cause the rot is too deep. Maybe in like 1000 yrs from now we would have evolved to have sense collectively or maybe 500. Afterall 500 yrs ago, most of these advanced societies where not as advanced as societies as they are now. Hell, we didnt even know boiling water could purify it. So hopefully 500, optimistically 1000, realistically we might always remain behind. |
VinnyBaba:Would you say humans are not sociable because you know what they are capable of when triggered. When a hen chased me, i left my heart behind, i was like 7 then. I can't forget. |
Bintabisiriyu2:True. And most people conflict anti social behaviours like shyness as introversion. Basically introversion means u prefer to wind down alone or with a small circle, with minimal interaction after being in social situations. Also those animals u mentioned... add mosqyuitoes and bed bugs, they need to fvck off from existence. |
Samantha124:Lol! Cats are something else. They could be showing u the most love in the world one minute and decide u need to Bleep off out of existence the next. Cute looks while being apex killers. If spirit animals where valid, mine would definitely be a cat. |
Henry22:I think you mean komodo dragon and except i missed the sacarsm... how is it sociable enough to be kept as a pet? |
Sportsolutions2:I swear the irony is funny. The Isreal they are praying for is mostly jewish people who don't even believe in christ. Like the source and origin of Christianity doesn't even believe in Christianity. Thier parliament a while back wanted to pass a bill banning practice of christainity but it didn't sail through. They even hv more muslims than xtains there. Meanwhile these ignoramuses like the one u quoted are shouting praying and quoting Isreal this n that. Dense mofos. |
AntiChristian:Don't mind the ignorant fvcks. Quoting what i dont know. Where were those quotes during the holocaust or it didn't apply then. Or the other numerous times they've been etnically cleansed, persecuted and genocided throught history even right from inside the bible making them the most most persecuted ethnic group in history. Confirmation bias would always bias i guess. |

Dubetex96:Sorry, that's sad. My calls and texts go through just can't get a data connection to the internet. |
For the past 3 days, i dont hv access to the internet, network just disappeared and the idiots are telling me to restart my phone up and down without resolving the issue. Any similar experiences? |
candygist:Ha! The bleeping irony... Dump indeed. |
Cognitive dissonance basically. |
IyfeNamikaze:Exactly, "Context". Most people always miss that. How can u open a novel then jump to the 7th chapter, read a line and deduce meaning about the book just from that line. You need the whole context to form an opinion or have an understanding. That's why you see most mislead by the media, they read just the headline of a story or article without reading the article itself and then they'll come to a conclusion. You watch a 1 min clip out of a 10 min video and come to a conclusion. Your conclusion would be wrong, same thing applies to the bible like u said. You dont just read a verse, u need to understand the context of the verse as it pertains to that chapter and the chapter to the book as well to paint the whole picture, sometimes even referencing other books and chapters. And most people dont like reading so that's why they rely on others and are unfortunately gullible. |
IyfeNamikaze:Apt bro. Just saw ur prev comment. U hit the nail on the head. 1 chori nthians 12 and 14 further expantiates the whole thing. Its funny, ludicrous and disappointing that its there and a diff thing is being fed to the sheeple. |
OluwaLina1:When i see people speaking Notice how everyone that speaks in tongues, never speaks human tongues that are understood, they all speak angelic tongues that no one can understand. Also one of the signs of the spirit is to interpret tongues. Notice how u hardly hear about the gift of interpretation of tongues in the church., which is one of the signs of the spirit. According to the bible, not everyone must speak in tongues , there are other gifts that show signs of the spirit. Why are they all focusing on speaking angelic tongues. Why don't they speak in tongues to one another with one to interpret like in the bible, why only to God. The answer is quite simple really. It's an easy cop out with no need for proof or validation. I can come out and read the alphabet backwards and say im speaking in tongues. Bunch of jokers the lot of them. Where are those gifted with interpreting of the so called tongues? Where are those that speak in human tongues or languages they've never heard? None... Don't u think it'll be interesting to see people speaking in tongues and one's speaking gaelic and the other aramaic while someone gifted is interpreting. Trust me uld never see that. |
First of that's a you problem. Secondly humans are not a monolith that are all boxed with the same characteristics under a single label. Finally stop confusing ur poor social skills, anti-social behaviour, anxiety and probably lethargy as intoversion, its not introversion. |
LordReed:It's obvious u'r an atheist hence the combative and defensive nature of ur response. I said a lot but because of your defensive stance u ignored all context, zeroed in selectively with tunnel vision on what u didn't like, went on a tangent and basically missed all nuance. Respect for being civil though. So I'll try to explain better so u get my thought process again while addressing ur concerns. First of, the quantifier I used in describing atheists is "Many" and not "All". And how and why did I reach that conclusion u ask?! Well, if u pick any arbitrary sample set of any category of anything (or most things to be safe), ud have more negative traits than positive traits. So for example if u pick school children, you have more non-intelligent children than intelligent children, if u pick a sample from the population, u have more non-beautiful people than beautiful people, if u pick open minded people, uld find more unreasonable ones than reasonable ones. Same applies to atheists, that combined with anecdotal evidence from dealing with em. Now for the rest of your concerns, I wanted to address them individually but saw it was pointless cause I already adresssed them in my previous comment. So its either u didn't read it(hence the earlier tunnel vision comment) or u read it with some serious bias. Either way read it again with an open mind.. |
Kobojunkie:I like this train of thought. It's not really fact though more like your hypothesis but its a good one to explain if not for the fact Caleb lived 130yrs. |
Kobojunkie:So from ur comments i can see ur arguments are based on good faith and u understand the context in the production of the bible and accept that context is valid. I appreciate that. See my prev comment to the other guy. Acceptance of that context doesn't necessarily jive with traditional Christian beliefs. Now u try to explain some of these contradictions away and for some of em you come from the angle of understanding and accepting the context of the production of the bible which most christains push aside. They believe like i already said its divine inspiration and devoid of errors and dismiss any context whatsoever. That's the angle im expecting a from. The super religious christain response, if im making sense. Traditional christain beliefs or school of thought. But even ur nuanced context based response doesn't necessarily explain these contradictions away. It just boxes u into another contradiction of traditional christian belifs. Ok... About the Ark, u said its a continuation of instructions.... Agreed. Does that mean Noah does what he wants and disobeys these instructions and does what he wants or did God make a mistake and change his mind?? Cause it wad still 2 animals that went in?? For the incest part about Cain and Seth.. That doesn't jive too. If not ur saying God changes his mind. Does God change his mind?? Which would be admitting he made a mistake. Does God make mistakes, especially when he's all knowing and knows the end from tge beginning according to the bible?? |
