Family / Re: Irresponsible Fathers And What They Cause To The Society by lupey: 1:10pm On Jul 31, 2014
Modified...

OP has said it all, basically... I'm a good example of the above and its quite painful that some people have to go through a half-baked childhood and some don't.

I think the most painful part of having an irresponsible father is the absence of a father-figure...someone to scold you when you're wrong and to draw u back to himself. Someone to fear, cos whether we believe it or not, fathers would always carry that aura that would compel an erring child to fear them.
My mum has done an awesome job but no day passes without my wishing everything was just fine.
I have a male friend that has an extremely irresponsible father and he fears marriage like anything. He doesn't even trust himself enough to not over pamper his children because he never got love from his own father. He's a die-hard female fan and finds it hard to connect to his maaculine side. I sometimes pity him, notwithstanding that we're in the same shoes, because a lady could take advantage of his weakness for women. These are some sad effects of irresponsibility in fathers.

As I said, the op has said it all but lets still beg men to stick to the wives of their youth.
Big shout out to all the runz girls and huaband snatchers out there. Remember that God is watching u o! Also, remember that what goes around comes around. The law of karma awaits you!

A huge shout out to all the mothers out there acting as both fathers and mothers. May you live long enough to reap the fruits of your labour.

Politics / Mimiko Weeps At Airport. by lupey: 10:16am On Oct 04, 2013
Akure — GOVERNOR Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state wept openly both at Akure Airport and Government House following the crash of the Plane that was conveying the former governor Olusegun Agagu and his family members and government officials for his lying in state yesterday.
The crash was a sort of coincidental tragedy for governor Mimiko as he clocked 59, yesterday.
The Culture and Tourism Commissioner Deji Falae and some government officials were in the crashed plane from Lagos to Akure.
Falae  led the state government delegation that accompanied the corpse from Lagos before the crash.

*Engine of the aircraft , at the Joint Users Hydrant Installation, JUHI, Avation Fuel Depot, site where the plane crashed. The aircraft with number SCD 361 was operated by Associated Airlines Limited. Photo: Diran Oshe.
He betrayed emotion immediately his Chief of Staff, Dr. Kola Ademujimi briefed him while he and other top government officials awaited the corpse of Dr Agagu at the Akure Airport.
The wife of the former governor, Mrs. Olufunke Agagu and his two daughters Solape and Omowunmi had earlier arrived the airport from Ibadan waiting to receive him when the news broke that the plane had crashed.
Governor Mimiko burst into tears and was shielded by security personnel who smuggled him into his official car.
He reportedly wept like a baby throughout the about fifteen minutes journey from the airport to the Government House.
Dr. Mimiko could not attend to visitors as he stayed indoor all through.
Also, the wife of the former governor and her daughters were whisked away by family members and moved to a family friends house in Akure where doctors attended to them.
Efforts to speak with family members failed as they all kept sealed lips describing the incident as too tragic.
Meanwhile the state government in a statement in Akure said “ The Ondo State Government received with shock the news of the crash of the plane bearing the corpse of the former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Agagu, as it was taking off from Lagos.
The statement was signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary Eni Akinsola.
Akinsola said that “A commissioner, family members, associates and other top government officials were also involved in the crash.
Information available indicates that there were casualties and a few survivors of this unfortunate crash. We are however still expecting more information.
“No doubt, this is an unfortunate disaster in the life of our dear State. We can only pray that God will visit the State with mercy and give us all the strength to bear these unfortunate losses.
“We ask all residents to be in a sober and prayerful mood at these trying times as God is indeed the only person we should call upon in this period.
“Government assures that further information will be released as soon it is available.

Romance / Re: I Love Her But I Cant Deal With The Way She Talks! by lupey: 7:36pm On Sep 07, 2013
I think the only thing that can change her is experience. If you are complaining abt this same attitude,I'm sure her ex's saw it too(that's if this same attitude didn't cause the end of those relatnshps),and I'm sure if u broke up with her 2day her bf's to be wld see this very same trait.

Taking in2 cognisance that men crave respect, its not far-fetched that u want 2 be respected and its our duty as women 2 give it 2 u. A lady like her would only change through personal efforts. She would have 2 recognise it as her weakness and decide 2 change. When she loses a good no of good guys js causa a stinky attitude,no1 would teach her 2 change
