9jagirl4re: You miserable outcast I don't blame you talking village this village that you don't even know your Papa's village, your mama is an aswho in trader area so all you know is one car parts man is your father and you come here hating Igbo's day in day out go find your papa worthless old fool!

The three automobiles were reportedly bought for Asiwaju Tinubu and Governor Fashola on grounds of 'security'

Insiders revealed that the two political figures have not gone public with their jeeps.

All of this in 2011 before the Stella drama but you people were happy for him
Sister Stella oduah was a criminal who stole from federal government in secrecy before being exposed. Fasola is openly taking from state funds and giving to Kings. Don't even compare the two scenery

This Lagos monarchs are too much sef undecided Fashola go spend tayah. most of them are just deceiving themselves with "Oba" title when they should be "baale". Look at most of Olofin Agbodere's descendants aren't recognized in their land because they just separated greedily
Oba of Lagos(island), Oloto of mainland, Iseri-Olofin and Akran Gbagle(badagry) are the real kings others just ran away from their fathers house with crowns

bad people: Am disappointed in fashola, cos Oba of ejigbo land in Oshodi-Isolo local govt doesn't deserve any good thing from tax payers money, ejigbo town in Lagos is full of mess, total hardship unleash by this so cald Oba Morufu in ejigbo, I witnessed a case when Phcn brought transformer to the people around orilowo-pipeline area, this is an area where we have police station even this so cald Oba Morufu personal house, he insisted that people in this community must contribute 300k for his own pocket before Phcn can activate the transformer, no good roads in ejigbo community, info that we gathered is Oba Morufu liase with Bamigbetan( the worst local govt chairman in Lagos) to siphone the local govt monthly allocation to their own pocket,ADVICE : Fashola should put a serious searchlight on ejigbo to unravel these evils being perpetrated by Oba Morufu and Bamigbetan in ejigbo this coming 2014
Elejigbo isn't even suppose to be 'Oba' where did he come from?
This is wat happens with those who have fake thrones
Yoruba elders especially the Ooni should instruct him to return his crown

la furia: Same thing was said about South Sudan about how United they were this and that but today, they are killing themselves.
If blood brothers, husband and wife do quarrel, some go as far as killing, why do you really think people with multi ethnic will just live in peace.
People are United when the have a common enemy, when that enemy is absent, they become enemy of each other if things doesn't work out. For example the south South and South East are United today because they see the north as an enemy, vice versa. When the north is no more, the face each other, if things doesn't work like in most African countries due to corruption and greed, the become enemy of each other. Reason why the south Sudan us in crisis today, President from tribe A doesn't trust the vice president of tribe b. He accused the vice president of attempted coup. We will only be deceiving ourselves if we really think things will out well.
have South South and South east ever been togetherhuh abeg don't use that to compare The Oodua people, We have a common interest and stronger ties than any other region, that is why War is not in our agenda because we know our land and those confused ones would be tosed away
As I've said we have over 18tribes that share a common origin, similar language, strong brotherhood, blessed land and glorious people. Even religion can't break the Yoruba brotherhood because almost every Yoruba has a relate as a Christian, Muslim and pagan.
There's nothing to fear in disintegration

i saw 3 middle eastern religions, I opted as a full adult with his faculty intact for it. i ignore that is made up to elevate a tribe, the other i ignore elevates son of man and a nameless spirit. i am not lazy nor extreme in my commitment.
Christianity is more European than Middle eastern. And most you only look at religions that deal with the middle east? Wat happen to African religions?

as a yoruba man, again, since you do not know the history of yorubas to makka and the arab culture and people, this is where my blood came from.
You are not Yoruba, you are of a lost identity and now slave yourself to Arabs.
Yoruba doesn't have Arab origin, pls stop this stupidity
If you wish to claim Arab origin good for you that doesn't surprise anybody, the Slave would like to claim his masters origin
I have met sudanese and kuwaitis that fits like gloves into the yoruba people fabric of faces.
wat has this got to do with the topichuh
the igbos they are jews, you do not have problems with it.
Wats my business with Igbo? Most of them are Jewish or Vatican slaves so it doesn't surprise anybody that they claim 'jesus is their kinsman'

of course you do not know their history just as you don't know that of yorubas.

okooyinbo: Aburo, you have started again! Have you heard Ijo people - Ijo Arogbo specifically - and Ilaje people speak before? If you have not, I'd encourage you to go avail yourself of that experience. There is absolutely no connection in their language. The Ilaje are very different linguistically from the AROGBO. The APOIs on the other hand speak a kinda combination of Ilaje and Ikale. Culturally, there are some similarities though. The Bini people also worship AIYELALA and OLOKUN as well. While the IJOs worship AIYELALA, Ilajes dont worship IJO deities.
Ilaje are fully Oodua people even though they have part ijo origin they are more Yoruba than ijo

Just like Onitcha that has a Bini origin are now fully Igbo, and also some Anioma are of Ife and bini origin

Still we shouldn't mix spirituality with history...Oduduwa in Ifa is creator of earth but you can't possibly proclaim Oduduwa(king of Ife) as one and the same entity that was in creation.

Men don't just jump out from the sky, Oduduwa must have been born and Ife oral history claims he came from the east. Personally I think he came from Iwo but we shouldn't just assume he came from Orun as a man without being born, instead we should investigate and research on his issue

Am just trying to be logical and not overly religious, there are could be certain things that Ife didn't know about Oduduwa and never bothered to inquire

I believe God has destined us to be one, we must always look for way to leverage on our differences to bring out the best in us, there is unity in our diversity.

Long live Nigeria. God bless Nigerians
Are Ijebu and Ibadan the only Oodua tribes? We have about 18 tribes and would be united as we are in Nigeria.

Wat reason does an Ijebu have to fight his brother from ijesa?

Alaafin and Ooni are the two Yoruba highest kings of equal rights and power there's no power tussle their argument was on Oranmiyan festival which Ooni was wrong in his arguments. Why can't Alaafin celebrate his ancestor and first king of his kingdomhuh it's people who are just using them to debate on online forums like NL

ROSSIKE: You can still be ''stuck in retardation in a [small] for nothing country that breeds hate and underdevelopment''. Just ask the Sierra Leonans, Liberians, Rwandans, Burundians and South Sudanese. (With the added indignities that come with smallness, such as regular foreign interference - any trouble and the UN sends in troops even without your permission).

Smallness does not guarantee positive outcomes. There is strength in numbers. Nigeria is destined to be a great nation if we steer clear of disintegration. The economy is booming, the middle class is expanding, poverty is reducing, military dictatorship is history, there is greater political stability, and we are witnessing a period of unprecedented investment in infrastructure - roads, rail, airports, with the country currently Africa's No 1 investment destination, with a GDP that's been growing at approximately 7% per annum since 2000, with most of the growth driven by diversification and the expansion of the non-oil sector. Income per capita has QUADRUPLED since 2000, with this economic growth rate projected to remain constant or increase over the next 30 years, effectively placing the country among the world's top 20 economies, and as Africa's No 1 economic and military superpower.

And then what do the idiots go and do...They go SPLIT UP THE COUNTRY.

Nahh... Not gonna happen.

Boko Haram killed how many people in total? 5,000? 10,000? Terrible numbers. But that doesn't approach the USA's annual murder rate. Hardly a reason to split a country of 170 million. For all the talk of the Nigerian ethnic groups ''having nothing in common'', it really is a load of hogwash. Millions of Nigerians of all ethnic hue interact daily in this country with no problems whatsoever, with inter-marriage at an all-time high.

So because less than 0.1% of them may engage in inter ethnic conflict, we must ''split up the country''??

Ridiculous.

NO, We will NOT split up. We have a DESTINY to fulfill to Africa. We will not split into little Gambias, Liberias, Togos, and Sierra Leones - easily pushed around by the world powers - because we were too cowardly, stupi.d, and impatient to face the task of nation-building and national development.

Thanks.

hercules07: African countries have not had it good after separation, Sudan and Ethiopia/Eritrea come to mind. The disintegration of Nigeria is going to be violent and I do not see it happening for some time. There are too many vested interests in the Nigerian project for it to happen without violence, the international community will also not allow it except it is peaceful. The aftermath is also going to be very very violent, the North will descend into chaos because the BH guys will want to take over, the Christians in the North will want to defend themselves, the Niger Delta guys will fight for resources internally and externally, Biafra will need to fight the Niger Delta for resources and the spill over of the war in the North will bring refugees East, Yorubas will have to deal with the North and fallout of religious wars, so many things will happen in the event of a breakup. I will rather we have a true federal constitution where states can develop at their pace and control the bulk of governance power.
