Of the truth, their identity is fluid. The ibo sounding names they bear is a corruption of the traditional ibo names.
They could have or would have been Ibos but they openly disowned that heritage at the onset of the Biafran war, seeking favors and affection from the Fulanis. A lot is wrong with we Africans, more especially Nigerians.
