Politics › Re: Anthony Sani Attacks Nnamdi Kanu Over Creation Of Eastern Security Network by madridsta007(m): 1:35am On Dec 17, 2020
privaldo:
The immediate past Secretary-General of the Arewa Consultative Forum, Anthony Sani, has said he is not in support of regional outfits such as Amotekun in the South-West and the recently launched Eastern Security Network for the South-East.

Sani noted that what Nigeria needed to tackle insecurity was to empower the police by way of expansion of the workforce, training, equipment and motivation by salary increment – and not by creating regional outfits.

The ACF chief noted that northerners living in the South-South and South-East regions of the country would not be threatened by the creation of the Eastern Security Network created by the Indigenous People of Biafra.

Kanu had, on Saturday, launched the regional outfit via a live Facebook broadcast, which he explained, was necessitated by the current security situation in major parts of the country.

"He said the objective of the security network is to protect the regions from “Fulani criminal activities.”

According to the IPOB leader, the outfit is a replica of Amotekun launched by the South-West governors to curb insecurity in the region.

Speaking to SaharaReporters on Tuesday, Sani described Kanu as unfit to launch a security network.

He said, “This Kanu of the IPOB we are talking about; who is he to even launch a security outfit? What is his stand in the South-South and South-East? His group has been banned. He has run away, and he is afraid of coming to Nigeria, and you are saying he is announcing a security outfit. “To announce and operate where he is? The security outfit can’t even be implemented because he is not in Nigeria. So how can we be threatened by someone who is somewhere else and claiming he has an outfit in Nigeria?”

Speaking further, the Ex-ACF scribe said the police should be reformed by way of having enough number of adequately trained and properly equipped personnel to enable them to live up their mandate.

He added, “The problem of this country is the inadequate number of trained policemen who are well equipped. Other security outfits are also not well equipped; the numbers are not enough; they are not well trained; do you think they will perform magic?

“I am not really in favour of all these regional outfits. I am more towards empowering the police by way of number; who are well trained, equipped and well-motivated by way of salary allowance and logistics to secure the country.

“The issue is not the multiplication of security outfits but poor funding; ill equipping of those available.”

Nchenches:
The killers are Nigerians. In Benue area, sticks and poles were put into the vaginaaas of pregnant Igbo women till the poles emerged from the mouth in 1966-67 pogrom against the Igbo in the north.
The present killers did not even use the most brutal system used in Benue in 1967 to kill fleeing Igbos who left far north and were stopped in Benue area, brutally murdered.

As usual, Igbos have forgiven anyway. But this type of brutal murder here reminds one about what happened in the past.
This particular killers are largely Fulani militia men from Niger, Chad, Mali and Central African Republic.
Sure, the 1967 Biafran Genocide killings were done by Nigerians of largely Middle Belt origin. However, my comment was on the current killings in the Northern part of Nigeria (actually, most of Nigeria at the moment.)

As for the Biafran Genocide, yes the Igbos may have forgiven but they have never forgotten and should never forget. That is why the Igbos are the most vigiliant of Nigerian tribes.

These guys are animals. They kill & slaughter Nigerians because they are not Nigerians.

Thanks to APC, Buhari, Tinubu, the South West, these animals were brought into Nigeria as a militia to wreck havoc after the 2015 elections as they expected GEJ not to concede.
GEJ conceded. They couldnt move these Fulani militia out of the country. They had to "settle" and had their cattles as well.
Hence they have been killing in a scale as never before. They need land, they need to settle, they are Fulanis.

May their soul rest in peace.

The call for #EndSARS victims to come forward to testify is beginning to yield success. In the wake of the Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry sitting, more victims from the Lekki tollgate shootings are now speaking up.

ARISE correspondent Ozi Okoli has the story.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMxabR4n6K4

Edwin Augustine: A victim, Mr Augustine recalls how the light went off and soldiers started shooting and how a guy was shot by the side. While checking the guy that was shot, he also got shot in his thigh. (He showed where he was shot)
He said he passed out and woke up the next day at the Ikeja General hospital. Edwin Augustine said he wonders why the government said they didn't shoot at them while he still has the bullets in his body.

Another victim and his father also narrated their experiences. The father said he met his son in hospital after the shooting, that he couldn't open his eyes and couldn't talk to him. He displayed the X-ray they did.

The son said he wasn't protesting, that he was with his friend at the Lekki Tollgate when the shootings started and he got shot.

Dead Victim's Younger Sister Speaks: In tears, Olufunmi Ayedungbe spoke on behalf of her brother, Gabriel Ayola, who died from the protest. She revealed that her late brother was shot in the head. She recalled how her brother died at the hospital, saying that he couldn't talk and that he was fed through the nose.
My Sympathies to those who were killed by the Buhari Nigerian regime and the to those who were injured and to their relatives as well.

The Unity shown at the Lekki Tollgate was what threatened the Nigerian State. To see largely Southern Nigerian youths UNITED in a single cause threatened the current make-up of the Nigerian State. It wasnt really about ending SARS. Unity is a threat.

I am usually an optimist, but to be frank these guys died and were injured for nothing. Let me reiterate- Be good to your family, friends and neighbours BUT dont get involved in any situation that will infer you are doing your best to "save Nigeria". Nigeria isnt worth dying for. Like Asaba Massacre, like Odi & Zaki Biam, like the Biafran Genocide, like Agatu, like Umuahi, like Nkpor, like Aba, like Obi-Igbo, Like Zaria, and like Lekki Massacre Nigeria will wake up and move on as if NOTHING happened. Nigeria will try to erase history too.
Romance › Re: What A Prophet Told Me About My Girlfriend. by madridsta007(m): 3:57pm On Dec 03, 2020
SeunWedsLinda:
Good morning nairalanders. I'm sharing this here because I feel restless with this urgent need to end my relationship. I'll make the story as short as possible.

I started dating my girlfriend this time 2 years ago. The experience hasn't been bad because she's all I could wish for in a woman. Very pretty both facially and in physique. Respectful. Been there for me during my down times. Encourages me when things don't go my way. At some point, I thought she was gonna leave because of my financial state but no. She still stuck by me. Even helping me financially to bring me up to my feet.

However, Despite every attempts at steadying my financial imbalance, there was never any progress. We went for a crusade mid last year and the prophet called her out, was praying for her and she was falling under anointing. She was oblivious of what was happening then the man of God delivered a big prophesy that shocked me. He said she is possessed by a spirit which is out to ruin every man she's had something to do with in the past. That a lot of men have been destroyed. My heart raced faster and I couldn't figure out what to do at that point. When she finally got herself, she cleaned up and went home. Came to my house the following morning and asked me what happened. I told her everything the prophet said and she begged me not to leave her. Of course I didn't leave her. We still continued with the relationship. Don't blame me here guys. My belief was that no man or woman has the power to influence what happens to you. That success or financial breakthrough is the end product of hardwork and perseverance. That was why I took that prophesy with a pinch of salt.

Our lives continued. I kept encountering frustrations in my live goals and ambitions. Depts hanging round my neck with no hope in sight. Rents expiring with no plan for renewal. To the point that I had to borrow to feed. These were much that I decided to go see another prophet yesterday. This prophet is different from the first one that hosted a crusade we went for. I decided to go alone this time around and it's located in a different state. In the course of the ministration. The prophet called me out. He told me I should limit things I say to THAT GIRL (my girlfriend). He mentioned to me that my girlfriend is good and it's not her fault. That she is possessed by a spirit that is out to ruin. Responsible for restricting any favor that looks like it's coming my way. Every thing he told me was in tandem with my real life experiences. He prayed for me afterwards and I still went further to meet him. I needed some clarity on whether or not to continue with my relationship. He didn't urge that I breakup. But he advised I should just leave her and focus on my hustle.

My girlfriend has been calling me since yesterday but I've not been picking. I'm confused guys. I know I will eventually pick and talk to her but how do I breakup? Where do I start from? I don't want to tell her what the prophet said about her. My mind is mess rn. Please advice me guys
Oga, this is why we encourage people to become spiritually strong themselves so they dont rely on these so-called "prophets".

Look inwards and you will find out why you are having issues with your life. Sexual immorality; lack of diligence; unforgiveness; jealousy; hate; gossip, etc. Not saying you have these but there are many individuals who have these sort of issues yet still go about blaming others for their predicament.
With your girlfriend STOP the sexual immorality with her. Use a mirror and, in humility, x-ray your life. Ask God for mercy and begin to work hard at anything small and remove from your life these listed sins.
Take some accountability and stop blaming others. For example, if you fornicate, what would you expect? That you wont be punished for that? You get punished for that; others get it in the future, others get their punishment in the "now".

STOP listening to all these so-called "prophets". They are largely business men. Read your Bible and you will have a discerning spirit.

nwekeugochukwu:
A lady identified as Chinenye and her boyfriend, Chinedu Nwode were killed by suspected cultists at Oriuzor community in Ezza North Local Government Area of Ebonyi state on Sunday, November 29.

IgbereTV gathered that the killing followed a renewed clash between two rival cults in the state, the Baggers and Aye confraternities.

The couple were returning from a child dedication in Oriuzor to Onueke when they were shot dead.

The killing was said to have angered some persons suspected to be members of the Aye Confraternity, who in turn killed one Chikwado Nweke and another man at Onueke community in the same local government.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Loveth Odah, who confirmed the incident on Tuesday, December 2, condemned the spate of unreported cult killings in the area.

"This is bad and I don’t know why these things are more often heard of in this area. This is condemnable and it’s unfortunate that those who lost their loved ones to these crises have not come up to identify themselves. How can these things be happening in that place and these are brothers and they are just killing themselves," said Odah.

"On hearing this ugly news, the Ebonyi State Commissioner of Police, Mr Philip Maku, deployed men of the command in the area to ensure that more lives are not lost. The police are investigating the matter and soon, we will tell you what really happened." she added.

Meanwhile, friends of Chinenye have taken to Facebook to mourn her demise.
