Gerrard59: Good luck forming a militia group in the midst of a majority ready to kill. So to you, Southern Kaduna indigenes should form a militia in Kaduna under the leadership of El-Rufai? Maybe in Benue, Taraba and Plateau but will Nigerian authorities headed by a Fulani majority allow such? Amotekun and ESN are possible because they are formed by ethnic groups which have a majority. Those in South South have oil as a negotiating strength. What advantage do Christian ethnic minorities in the north have to withstand an onslaught from the majority who are in political offices?
I agree with you that it is difficult. However, not impossible if done covertly. The attempt has not been made and I think we should recognise this. Christian ethnic minorities can form vigilante groups if they want to. They are lucky to have many military and retired military men who understand the internal workings of Nigeria security architecture and know where to access equipments. They have these men in abundance more than the SW,SE or SS. I am surprised that they do not seem to have an association of some sort. Running from your land means that you will never get it back. Ask the people of Sokoto, Kwara, Nassarawa even the Agatu people who they massacred; the Fulani never give back the lands they have violently captured.
obembet: As we all know that year 2020 has been a wonderful year, the year of Survival. I believe that year 2020 is a year many of us can not forget in a hurry. Despite the sad news, many of us still achieve our goals.
So therefore, what are the things are u appreciating God for. REMEMBER, APPRECIATION IS APPLICATION FOR MORE
As for me, I really appreciate God for the Gift of life and protection over me and my family throughout the year 2020.
Spiritual illumination and exposure into new dimensions of God. I began to ask myself: What was I preaching to people? Systems of the Kingdom. The hearing ear and the seeing eyes that was written in Proverbs 20: 12. The presence of the Spirit of the living God with evidences. I can’t explain what God did for me spiritually in 2020- words cant explain them. And I give Him all the glory.
Gerrard59: Well, over ten years now and no end in sight. You and I know that defeating Boko Haram at this point isn't possible. So, do Northern Christians continue to die trying to defend their lands which will be taken over whether they like it or not?
New lands can be found in the south; new lives, unfortunately aren't.
The Northern Christians have not, to the best of my knowledge, formed a militia group to fight these attacks. Whether they are in denial of the actual situation of things, or have tried and found it hard or dont know the existential struggle they face, I do not know. Amotekun was formed in the South West; the East has ESN and of course a number of groups in the SE & SS. You have to fight back. Not just to fold over.
There is a spirit of suicide in Nigeria at the moment, afflicting its youth. It is a "child" of the spirit of heaviness which is in Isaiah 61: 3. The spirit of suicide, the spirit of depression, the spirit of betting, etc. Pretending to give the Nigerian youth a way out of his/her problem. If the Church does not arise and take a stand against this spirit, it will ravage even more.
These increased suicides and suicide attempts are not ordinary. Those who know, know.
BIGPREEQ: Why Is This So In The South East?? I Need Explanation
So today I decided to travel to Owerri from onitsha for a business meeting, the journey was meant to be a 1hr30min journey or less, but the check point for such short distance was sooo much!!
Like literally every 1km of the road has checkpoint, it's so bad that from a particular check point, you can basically see another check point ahead.
Ranging from the Army to the police to FRSC. Basically every force is on the road and all of them including the army were collecting bribe from the drivers. I actually felt bad for the drivers because it was too much. I felt really disgusted as well because I expected them to distinguish themselves but no they didn't.
I guess this is why the transport rate here is on the high side.
Now I've spent 4hrs on the road due to traffic induced by these forces from blockage of the road
Last week I came back from Abuja to Anambra and the check point were few across the north and I kept wondering.
Is there insurgency in the SE or is the crime rate high here or what exactly is the cause of this excess checkpoints / extortion points
Many reasons. 1. The authorities— or whatever exists of the “authorities”— have a serious fear about the South East. They feel there will be a Biafra insurrection and the number of security forces is to intimidate Biafra and IPOB believers. 2. This regime loves projecting a show of strength and domination. Remember, it is the Fulani thing to dominate through violent capture of your lands. 3. Political reasons. The South East is a 5% remember? They have to made as uncomfortable as possible. 4. The checkpoints are money revenue for these security guys as compared to the West or the North or other areas. The South East is essentially a business hub for Nigeria and West Africa.
None of the reasons is for security reasons. None.
Gerrard59: The women should move down south, generally I think all Northern Christians should do an exodus down south. The north is extremely dangerous for them.
Their men don run for safety come South take okada riding jobs
Leaving behind fine fine girls and aged parents , boko guys just dey change girls like clothes , it's well
When I mentioned that marriage rate are down not necessarily due to spiritual issues, but due to economic issues, instability caused by Nigeria's myriad of security crisis, this is it. The men run to less crisis-prone places in the South. The females are left to competing for the few males left- that is if they get married. For many, this will result into single-motherhood. The ecosystem of the family is broken over time, thanks to prolonged crisis.
TemiBami2020: Pls help me people. My world is collapsing. It's a marriage of 10years and blessed with 3kids (2 boys and a girl). Like every other marriages, we've had our own shares of ups and downs. No marriage is perfect.
Last month i went to work. By the time I came back the children were no where to be found, including my husband. Initially, I thought they went out or something. Around 11pm I got worried and called my brother in-law who is a police to track my husband numbers
He contacted other family members and he found out my husband left for UK with our children forever.
I don't know what to do. I'm running mad. Pls is there any authority I can contact in the UK? Or can I go to the UK/ British Commission in Nigeria to lay a formal complaint? Is there any NGO I can contact?
Modified For those saying I'm a bad wife, I'm not. I've been very supportive in a every way a wife can be. I've lived in both physical and verbal abusive marriage within the last 10years of my life. He's a violent man, adulterous, alcoholic and a fervent smoker. He gets drunk and get home and beat me up Infront of the children unprovoked. I have evidences and witnesses
I often threaten him I would take my children and go away cause I can't watch and allow them to grow in such a toxic home.
I often threaten him I would take my children and go away cause I can't watch and allow them to grow in such a toxic home.
This was why he did what he did. You threatened him. Men and women do not like threats and when you show someone that you have the capacity to get a threat done, they preempt you and work behind you to oppose what you are planning to do. Whether you have planned it or is a mere threat is irrelevant. That you've spoken it is enough for them to act.
As for your kids and your husband, better reach out to the relatives.
Made4naijalove: DMW Records boss, Davido Adeleke has stepped out of the country on his private jet to celebrate Christmas without his family.
This is coming following the singer’s show in Jamaica that is cancelled as a result of the Covid-19 second-wave outbreak. Usually, the festive periods is a peak season for musicians as they go about performing at different shows unlike in this 2020 of a pandemic outbreak.
In a video shared by Davido on his Instagram, the singer could be heard saying the name catchphrase he invented ‘Tule’ while boarding the aircraft.
There is (1) "I want to marry" and (2) "I am ready for marriage"
The first is said by boys who the society, family, peers and the female in question pressure to get married. The second is said by men who have made the conscious decision to finally get married. They've weighed the pros and the costs.
Until a man says the second either directly or by his actions, do not compel him to say, "I want to marry".
Leshurr: My point is, you would think white men would be the biggest perpetrators of racism and oppression in the workplace but in actual reality, white women are... ...and your fellow blacks will never have your back.
It is a dog-eat-dog society for the Blacks in the West. Eaten by their fellow Blacks.
My advice to Nigerians who go abroad is: As much as possible, live a quiet, non-flashy, very simple life. Avoiding your fellow Nigerians is practically impossible. So do not live a flashy, loud life; do not throw your success in their face; do not attend every party and event you go to. Be "controversial". Do not form or join a click. This is hard as this is so unNigerian, but this will get you out of a lot of trouble. Blacks, especially Nigerians, can be so jealous and wouldnt fail to set you up if they have the chance.
owukpa: The Dunamis International Gospel Centre, on Wednesday, gave out Christmas packages to hundreds of people.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that thousands of people, including the physically-challenged, besieged the Glory Dome located along the Airport Road, Abuja.
The outreach was powered and personally supervised by Dr. Paul and his wife, Dr. Mrs. Becky Enenche, with the help of the Welfare Department.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the ministration is done annually by the ministry as a way of empowering and reaching out to people and communities during Christmas.
Speaking during the programme attended by thousands of people from various denominations and across religious lines, Dr. Paul described the gesture as a way of reaching out to people and as well reminds them about the love of Christ.
Among items distributed during the ministration were: thousands of bags of rice, tubers of yam, tomato paste, noodles, and several food items.
In a post shortly after the outreach on his Facebook page, Dr. Enenche described the crowd as unprecedented.
He wrote, Hello Beloved,
Just to update you that we had a most amazing time this morning as we flagged off this year's Christmas Welfare Distribution at the Glory Dome.
The crowd was unprecedented.
People from all tribes and religions flooded the premises from as early as 6am.
The ministrations of food items and clothing continued till after 2pm.
Thousands were blessed and we were sure there was supernatural angelic ministrations that accompanied ours with seeming Miracles of multiplication.
The joy on the people's faces is an encouragement to us.
The Widow's ministration also took place alongside at the youth chapel. What a joy.
My prayer is that God will empower you to bless others however few or however many soon in Jesus Name.
RuudVanNisteroy: Popular Nigerian actor, Williams Uchemba, who recently got married and is taking a vacation in South Africa has taken to his verified Instagram account to state that he is sad and depressed due to the current poor state of Nigeria which stems from corruption.
Divide South Africa into three major BLACK tribes and hundreds more. Give them Abrahamic religions. Make the most intellectually weakest of them to hold power.
MASTAkiLLAh: Who told you Buhari clueless lol lol lol Guy, as long as its those fulani terrorists committing mayhem across the land then i can categorically tell you that Buhari is very clueful and indeed very happy with such carnage and destruction or have you seen where ANY Miyetti Allah member has been prosecuted after claiming responsibility for different acts of genocides several times ? Their excuse has always been "they kill our cows first" which is a strong enough excuse to get away with murder in today's Nigeria. A Yoruba chieftain had his daughter slaughtered by fulani terrorists but nothing happened to them just because na buhari people, a first class chief in Ondo was slaughtered like fowl and perpetrators were caught but as usual nothing has or will happen because na buhari brothers and the authorities dont want to offend him. It has gotten so bad that the imbécilic Femi Adeshina dropped one of his brain dead advice saying if you dont want to die, give the fulani your land... Its damn right impossible for so much carnage and economic destruction to be going on in a country without the president being aware and doing something to mitigate the effects except such president sanctioned the carnage and economic destruction himself so my guy, no make me laugh biko
Thank you very much. May your days be long with this truth.
Marriages and economic growth are directly proportional, especially in Conservative African societies. The more middle-class growth, the more marriages. Low middle-class growth, less marriages. This should be very simple.
Let me break it down:
The Middle-Class man, lets say a pilot, gets married and employs a Night-Guard to guard his house. The Night-Guard makes some money from that employment and then marries. More marriages means, more jobs for photographers, event planners, etc. These guys make money and then marries.... Friendships that lead to marriages are formed in a wedding. Everything stems from that middle-class population. Reduce it, as Buhari, Tinubu and APC has done and you will gradually affect marriages. That is why I pity women who think their problem is spiritual. Most times, it isnt. Again, follow the economics.
In Nigeria's North, more insecurity and instability means less marriage. The bachelor is thinking about surviving and staying alive than marriage. There are many research studies that links low marriage rate to the existence of civil unrest, wars, etc. Instead of marriages, rape cases go up. As we can see across Nigeria.
I'm very surprised that people were voting for Buhari's Change in 2015 and Next Level in 2019 and were not thinking that the economic recession he was bringing as predicted wont affect your chances of marriages. Nigerians can be very foolish. The man you want to marry is thinking about surviving economically and not being a burden to a woman and her people. Again, this is common sense.
aspiring44: It pains them to see how physically challenged they are . God created us beautifully . Errors is not from Him but our own because we cannot create anything .
I accept this. But they should be aware that some members of the society are not tyrants, but are keen to give them support where possible.
southniyikaye: Have met so many people with disabilities and one thing I notice in most (notice the most) is, because of low self esteem, they are violent, wicked sometimes and tend to react quickly to even matters that requires you laugh slightly and walk away... And at the same time, some of them are nice, have come across some that have positive vibe so if am to judge, i will say 70% are violent while the rest 30 are good... It's like they always wait for you to say something wrong so they can vent their anger and frustration on you....
For those quoting me, I wrote what I wrote here based on years of working with many of them.. I have made alot of easy aids for most of them and working with so many of them over the years made me draw my conclusions.. If you make even the slightest mistake, they will tell you it's because they are disabled and you look down on them.. They don't take things easy and they flare up at the slightest provocation... You might have met disabled angels but have met both the good, the bad and the ugly...
I once stretched out my hand to help a blind person walking down an escalator.... He violently slapped my hand. I actually asked him, "can I help you sir?" Well he stumbled and fell as he missed his footing. They can be quite violent and I think it is down to low self esteem.
The blood spilled in Nigeria reminds one of the 13th Century days. These blood will cry to God for vengeance. Until there is proper atonement this will, sadly, continue.
BRATISLAVA: It is the same reason men cheat and brag about it.
And this assumption that men work so hard? Why does he need his wife's nurse salary if he's working so hard? Plenty male freeloaders. Once men can't make it, who else to blame but women? When they want to make it, it is still the woman that must do it.
Let us leave the gender stereotypes. Men aren't all that, and that is why you are openly looking for "productive" women, because women don't hide the help they give under the cover of respect anymore. Men working butts off indeed.
BRATISLAVA: It's the same reason men will always cheat.
Married men cheating in the United States, United Kingdom, where they have pro-women laws is rare, my dear. Dont compare their cheating rate to Nigerian based men. They know the consequences if they cheat- the women will strip them of every single thing they've worked for. Read the stories well. It is the women that most cheat. The men are working their butts off- that is the only thing they know how to do.
Kewtt: You said it all. Men stop seeing your spouse as investments
Men based abroad try and STOP going to bring women from Nigeria to get married to them. While I understand the benefits, avoid it if you can. If you do, get those who are refined and have access abroad. Otherwise, get married to a lady who is American, British, etc that has strong family values. You can spot these family values amongst her married siblings, parents, etc.
GayPontiff: This is becoming a norm in The US. That society is just not for thorough bred Africans. The men who turn themselves in after killing their spouse don't even show any remorse. Only God knows how unbearable what happened that made this man want to kill his family n off himself too.
You can be thrown outta your house for just raising ur voice at your wife. Our women embrace this new found independence that makes the man seem incapable of playing the role he has always known.
Most cases, these men sacrifice everything to bring their women over and still lose it all. Not siding these men or encouraging they go on killing rampage, but the death tolls r increasing and these women need to slow down a bit.
My drunkard uncle lost custody of his kids many years ago, he doesn't drink anymore, moved on and remarried..but just like that he can't even go close to his kids anymore. First wife stripped him of everything and is even sleeping around with younger boys. Aunty never contributed to his wealth by the way. She was also brought to come and study and from there she got married to my uncle.
My brother... Why women do this still amazes me. I mean, why turn against and use the law against someone that, if not because of him, you will probably be in the village? Why?
Hunronikensin5: I won’t check the name, but I can swear on my two scrotum that it is one of those flat.headed fake Jews parading the whole earth developing nations upon nations.
