Kai! na wetin be thiis cheesy?? Just watched the clip. Gracious goodness, these people are too real!! No glamour in it at all. Verging on razz grin! Showkey kept saying, I won't say anything, but he explained himself for good five minutes tongue! I like Genevieve's diction and dialogue, very polished. Princess sounds like an area mama, and I'm not happy Funke's gone but I guess she was the one they could afford to sacrifice so soon.

My reasoning here is comparative, though you are free to think otherwise. Life insurance policies are not typically Nigerian culture, yet today, many Nigerians take out life policies. I just feel we play the "cultural" card when it suits us to do so.
It's ok, let's not argue over what is obviously just another publicity stunt. Some stuff really shouldn't be taken seriously!

It's common practice to insure what earns you a living. How different is it to insuring your life? Life policies are not part of our culture, right?

In the same vein, lot's of Western ways are not part of our culture - you're browsing the web, computers aren't part of our culture. Neither is insuring your car. Why not stick to what we all did in our villages, and to a greater extent, still practice today, if it all boils down to culture?
Your path of reasoning is very elementary huh. How could you compare internet and car/life insurance to insuring your hips or even those things on her chest she flaunts at every given opportunity?? It's a shame that you support this. How would you feel if you find out she was just joking?? Because this is one stunt she can ill afford tongue.

what's your proof he was on all fours with IBB? if you have no proof then know such allegations are stale
Yes, quite stale. And lame.
CelebritiesRe: I Will Like To Insure My Hips ----- Mercy Johnson by maedan(f): 7:57pm On Apr 10, 2010
As long as she keeps disgracing herself, we will keep yabbing her tongue. I mean these movie-star delusions are going overboard. Is insuring your body parts, part of our culture?? Anyway, I believe all these interviews' just to help her journalist friends to sell their mags, because most of the time she's taking the piss.

Which of you saw the slap? and how did you come about the slap thing? what i heard was that he pushed her.
You yourself mentioned the slap in one of your posts. @ naijagal said it was edited out but there was definitely some undue violence.

@maeden try to be matured in conversation rather than insulting and closed minded
if you can not learn to respect my opinion, then don't respond to it. you
need to learn to talk without being insulting, i am sure this is not the way you
relate to people face to face. please stop, this behavior is neither productive nor
attractive
Thank you. I was being insultive to whoever has been insultive to begin with. If you haven't insulted anyone then please don't feel insulted. In any case, insults are not only constituted by abuse (eg calling someone a hypocrite, which was the height of my insult anyway undecided), but by trying to condemn others when you have no grounds or right to do so. You called him wasteful, told him to give back to society, to learn from other great men of history ie Pratt. Are these not insults? I'm sure Adenuga would feel quite slighted if he read such words from you.

Like the govt and the security officials give a damn? they will only care if their family is affected . . . or all of a sudden, if America start asking questions
They do give a damn, I mean look at how concerned even we are. But the police can do nothing without the proper training and infrastructure etc. With what will they use to investigate? This is not CSI, they can't trace any one and they certainly won't catch them, unless by some freakish twist of fate one of the robbers gives himself up and confesses!

true talk, no matter what the situation was, the fact that they were on TV shud have given him some sense, well ghetto mentality too dey im head
Well, only in Naija can this thing happen and people don't raise an uproar. "She deserved it" is all they can say. Showkey is a big disgrace and I have no respect for him any more.

But truly this is despicable!! This has become a lawless state (nation) where criminals do and undo without fear of getting caught or even hunted down. No one will seriously get to the bottom of this, I can bet on it.
TV/MoviesRe: Genevieve Hosts "Gulder Ultimate Search Celebrity Showdown" by maedan(f): 7:48pm On Apr 08, 2010
^^^LOL.

But come oh, so true true, Showkey slapped someone, and you people are making light of it?? He slapped Princess on National TV and everyone is finding it funny grin angry embarassed. This is a crying shame!! No matter her crime he should never have lost control like that. It's stuff like this that cost Chris Brown his whole career.
CelebritiesRe: Mike Adenuga To Fly In Beyonce For Daughter's Wedding In April by maedan(f): 7:41pm On Apr 08, 2010
Since when did inviting Beyonce become ostentatious and deranged ( as per jidobaba), or spending money "just any how you want" and being wasteful (a la ibablol). And don't even bring the Bible in, cos weddings have always been a thing of celebration, that's why Jesus performed his very first miracle there wink smiley.

In short, when there is life, there is hope. People even do more than this for burials and birthdays, not to speak of weddings. Is it because he is a Nigerian that it is now a crime?? All you people condemning him, I guess if you're lucky enough to ever be that rich, you'd have a low-key celebration for your daughter's marriage - or better still, give all your riches to the poor. Hypocrites!

TV/MoviesRe: Spartacus: Blood And Sand Season 1 by maedan(f): 1:31pm On Apr 08, 2010
Wow, never seen so much bloodletting!! shocked shocked. The visual effects, costumes and battle/fight scenes are spectacular. Like a mixture of Gladiators and Troy--you never want the movie to end - and now we have a whole flipping series to feast on cheesy. I haven't been this hooked since Prison Break. Spartacus is one good reason to stick to my TV these days.

I'm contemplating seeing it again before it leaves the cinema
You got me wrong smiley, I meant spoilers as in, posting what happened in the film or saying how it ended etc. You know, giving out too much info that could ruin the suspense for those who haven't seen it yet wink.

Lloyd was the artiste that sang the chorus/hook of the song. There's no Omarion version.
Well I'm listening to it now undecided smiley. He says something like, "Bad as you are. . .look at how she walks, I like the way she talks." Trust me, they had a remix with him in it but when he fell out with Young Money, they replaced him with Lloyd. Lloyd's version is more commercially popular, but most people enjoy Omarion's better, cos boy can sing wink!!.

Izzit? I'll have to watch the vid and find out. I downloaded d song from limewire and Omarion was credited in the title. It sounds like him singing the hook really, but you might be right about Lloyd.

Have you heard Justin's song, Somebody to Love? Not bad for a teenage u mite say smiley.
Yep, nice song. The Bed Rock song looks like it has different versions, so maybe you're right about the Omarion thing. I got the video on iTunes and this version is different from the one I think Omarion must have sung in. Heard he used to be with Young Money, so when he left, they removed him from the song undecided. I think I prefer the Omarion version sha wink. As for the Limewire thing, we all do it wink cheesy.
TV/MoviesRe: Kickass by maedan(f): 8:44am On Apr 08, 2010

CelebritiesRe: Mike Adenuga To Fly In Beyonce For Daughter's Wedding In April by maedan(f): 8:41am On Apr 08, 2010
Some folks here are talking like it's a crime to be rich in Nigeria now. Just because so many people are poor. I don't know how Adenuga got his money, but when it comes to family, and to daughters for that matter, a man should spend how he likes. He must be doing something for humanity in his own little way, abi na him spoil ur country?? Go and rant to your past leaders jare. Some of them are still alive tongue.

Lol. No, she is not "shorter" than Common. The correct term should be, she's not as tall. Cos that babe is big. Most ladies won't reach up to his shoulder. For her to look him eye to eye like this, she gotta be freaking tall.

Was Omarion in the song?? I thought it was Lloyd. They do sound alike tho'. I hear they are cousins, are they?

@maeden, the hair may be en vogue, but it does not sit well on her at all. You surely are not trying to compare it on Beyonce wt Serena?
She should probably go for a complete bald look since every hairdo looks like a disasster on her.
babe, make I no lie, this is the BEST hairdo I have ever seen on this chick, and that's the truth. You know her head is big, so it'll be hard for any wig (I'm sure that's what she has on) to fit her. If it's a weave-on, then it's still ok. We girls with large head have to make do you know cheesy.

This woman needs to grow up ( I mean mentally tongue) When Beyonce came out with her Sasha persona, it was cute. But this "local champion" (no be me talk am first o) wants to prove "Hollywood". Even Genny wouldn't make this silly kind of comment. Break into Hollywood? She's just an average actor with lots of luck and charm.
CelebritiesRe: Serena Williams and Her Boyfriend - a Rare Red Carpet Appearance Together by maedan(f): 8:16pm On Apr 07, 2010
PS, is that a baby bump the woman is showing off in that LBD, or is that a burger belly?? Jeez!! With so much money I know what I'd look like! A million bucks, at least tongue.
CelebritiesRe: Serena Williams and Her Boyfriend - a Rare Red Carpet Appearance Together by maedan(f): 8:14pm On Apr 07, 2010
Aww, but it's the hair that I like cheesy. Blonde fringes are in, Beyonce had a nice one for the Haiti live performance.

But for we that know Common very well shocked shocked, for a woman to dwarf him like this, she must be an Amazon!! This girl should try and lose weight abeg, and stop lifting weights or what ever is adding to her muscle mass!! And no more high heels!! Ok, maybe an inch or two.

"On if I can become the president. I can. I have a better chance of been president than Jonathan. look at the statistics. Look at the satellite pictures. I am the person to beat in 2011. 99% of yorubas would vote for me, because I have risk everything, even nearly got killed just for them to get justice. and look at the satellite picture. I have links to some emirs and I need to show them the pictures and they would approve my plan and vote for me in the north. if not they would be minority for ever."

Lol pls who is this guy?? grin
LMAO. This is the same thing I ask myself everyday grin grin.

Now this is what I'm talking 'bout!!
cheesy cheesy cheesy

Money talks----you-know-what walks. Beyonce sang for Obama & Michelle, so who says she isn't classy enough to sing at Adenuga's wedding?? If you make her vex, she'll do a remix of Ololufe or what ever wedding song (in Yoruba) that is the couple's favourite. That babe is too intelligent, and ready to please her fans. She made me fall in love with my own National Anthem when she sang it, so there aint nothing Sasha can't do!! Bella Adenuga kiss is one lucky daddy's girl!!!
