lol. Considering his size and mass, he must be consuming no less than 200 bleaching gel tubes a month.
Or the equivalent of 8,000 bleaching cream bottles a year.
what a waste of our national and state funds angry cheesy.

@dgreatrock, never mind ok, I'm sure it was just an honest typo wink.

@illie, it's nice when you jump to my defence wink, but I'm sure dgreat means no harm------ just no take style drive all my readers na angry grin.

u don't have to get discouraged. People actually might be reading ur story but can't be bothered to post their views. I was just very impressed with the way u started and the sensitivity in your writing style especially when handling the romance areas. I would love to have the whole book cheesy grin to read, but if you prefer, I could follow ur progress on NL.

Either way I'm sure it would be an enjoyable ride. Cheers cool.

@frank 3.16,
Finally got round to finishing it. I like the way you are taking your time, though some would have preferred you summarize it for the benefit of the thread. But I don't mind your pace, it reads just like a real book should. I really enjoy the human angles to the romantic section(Michael, Brenda and co.) and then the Nimrod section is good too.

Take your time and make it work, it's really worth the time it took for me to finish reading it wink.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 7:39pm On Oct 12, 2009
One of the main reasons Alexandra Burke won, from what I hear, is her personality. Unlike the other contestants who, behind the scenes, can be so arrogant and love to complain, Alex was known to be very humble and never made noise about what ever she was given/told to do.

As for Rachel, I admire her a lot, especially after hearing that she did very well at college and her friends say that though she was a tomboy and hardly had any "toasters", she's fun and had many friends. Bookies a\re pputting great odds on her to win, especially after Alexandra backed her in the press.

So, @ Kenny G, let's not worry about black people voting for her; if Alex could win, then nothing can stop a true winner, what ever his/her colour.

And as for Kandy Rain grin grin - they would have taught Dannii and Cheryl, even all of us ladies - a thing or two about "sexy". This show is losing a lot of fun already, hope it won't start to get dull with all the goody-goody people they have left tongue.
TV/MoviesRe: ~ Any " Strictly Come Dancing" Fans? ~ by maedan(f): 11:47am On Oct 12, 2009
@mohawkchic,
for some reason I didn't watch much TV this weekend, just snatches here and there of Strictly and X-F. I keep up with the gossip though, and it's crazy how the "paki" comment by Anton is getting him some flack!! Heard he didn't have his first girlfriend till he was 40 (that's three years ago). Looks like he has some poor social skills grin. Well, I'll be watching recorded episodes of our two fave shows and do a proper analysis of the actual dancing and singing pronto wink.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 2:24am On Oct 12, 2009
@ mohawkchic---lol about the "muppet twins". What a season it's turning out to be undecided. Don't have much to say except that it's going to be one crazy next few months. Who do I think will win?? Definitely one of the girls. Who I want to win? One of the over-25s, preferably Olly cos I can see him on an album. Jamie Afro gets my sympathy vote though wink.

Good question, mohawkchic, about the song choices. Everyone was ok, yes even Miss Frank, though I'm sorry I wasn't happy with the Smokey song, I mean, come on, this is the First Live Show, they should have brung it!! Grazielle is outshining the others and she's clearly the public's favourite. I like her a lot more than the other two myself. Let's hope her charisma pulls them thru (she has enough for all three of them!! grin)

I know many of you will eat me raw, but I saw Danyl's performance on the X-F site and I didn't like it. Poor song choice, poor performance. Even Jamie and my sweety Lloyd did not do the live stage justice. I hope they get better with time smiley.

As for my best of the night, once again, it's Ollie!! I love Robbie Williams, and that song (She's The One) is my song of the decade!! Ollie pulled it off big time!! (He even squeezed in some hot dance moves!!) I hope he wins/goes far in the comp. I'm sorry but Danyl is not as perfect as all of you think. I love him and Jamie but they'll stay mostly because of Simon's major clout and the public's love for their big bad boys grin wink.
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 5:02am On Oct 11, 2009
LOL. Goodnight wink smiley.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 4:56am On Oct 11, 2009
@mohawkchic,

I would have been on here from the minute I saw Rachel Adedeji's performance!! But I ended up not finishing the show, my last performance was Jamie Afro before I had to go out!!

That said, I'll try and watch the whole thing again before I make some real comments.

Meanwhile, I've been reading and hearing enough to state that:

Rachel was not well styled.
Her makeup and hairdo need a re-assessment by her wardrobe/face people!!
She looked more memorable when she auditioned: she was herself!!
(But damn, Simon was mean!! But what else is new??)

Danni and Cheryl on my girls (Kandy Rain)
Louis said it best when he stated that the world was ready for a new sexy girl group!!
I saw nothing wrong with their get-up: it was sexy to the hilt, yes, but not over-the-top like
Cheryl and Danni were implying. If they had come out in demure, buttoned-up floor-sweeping gowns, people would still complain!! Even call them
pretenders!! So the girls just stuck to what they know.
(And by the way, they sang very OK!)

Danyl and Danni
Danni has a very unlucky knack of saying the wrong thing at the wrongest of times!!
I'm hearing she's in hot soup now for what I can only call a "stupid" comment. Even I don't know what point she was trying to make,
but she was obviously just being mean to Simon thru Danyl, because Simon had been bashing everyone else's acts all night!
I'm afraid this season will be a War of the Judges, not a competition for the actual singers!! The producers have to stop Simon and Co.
before one of them walks off the show!!(Cheryl looked really pissed at him for telling her off over Kandy Rain!!)

Sorry for all that, guys. Imagine if I watch the whole show, my so-called "comment" might span two NL pages!!
Don't blame me, tonight's show was sooo great, esp when OLLIE sang "She's The One". His was my best of the night!!
FashionRe: Sagging, Is It A Fashion? by maedan(f): 4:37am On Oct 11, 2009
Cool, @mohawkchic. You know how we do grin kiss---but let's warn that tormentor C2P. Haba! Ever since BBH, he's been unstoppable grin!!
FashionRe: Sagging, Is It A Fashion? by maedan(f): 4:34am On Oct 11, 2009
Don't mind that C2P (@mohawkchic, why did you nice his name up like that, he's big-headed enough already!!)
He's turning into a maedan-mohawkchic-police cheesy tongue!!
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 4:31am On Oct 11, 2009
^^^ Sorry for that but you'll have to get used to it because of your beliefs grin undecided. But you are always welcome around here that's why I said they might drag you back (so no need to "walk away forever" grin) Hmmn, maybe I have a feeling I can win you over to our side wink. Just an idea cool.
FashionRe: Sagging, Is It A Fashion? by maedan(f): 4:24am On Oct 11, 2009
LOL @ mohawkchic----had to state categorically that I actually saw a gentleman ( tongue) who wore those blue briefs showing "the respectable two inches" above his sagging jeans." So no, I wasn't just talking grin. I didn't find the view distasteful at all, in fact it was quite cute tongue. (Eat that, @chic2pimp cool)
FashionRe: Sagging, Is It A Fashion? by maedan(f): 3:39am On Oct 11, 2009
Rotfl!! Let me conclude our sagging "discourse" by saying that I have seen some tasteful/respectable sagging(if there's such a thing grin) whereby the wearer displayed two inches or so of his blue cotton briefs cheesy tongue. So you're right, the knee-length sagging level is out of the question; who needs a whole view of some strange guys bottom(clean boxer shorts or no grin) Not me!!! cheesy cheesy grin wink
LiteratureRe: Need Endorsement For My Next Book, Pls(here's The First 2 Chapters). by maedan(f): 3:32am On Oct 11, 2009
@internetpo,
I'd be honoured to get a copy wink. I honestly liked the chapters you posted, the vital way you described the scenes and its characters. I actually would look forward to a continuation. What matters is that your story has promise and that in itself is a rare and valuable thing. Keep it up.
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 3:25am On Oct 11, 2009
Aaaw, thanks plenty for that smiley kiss wink cheesy.

I hope them dgreatrock and semid don't drag u back again grin wink.
RomanceRe: What Music Should I Be Playing? by maedan(f): 3:19am On Oct 11, 2009
@OP

Seriously, play some Banky W. Past and present. Highly recommended wink.
FashionRe: Sagging, Is It A Fashion? by maedan(f): 3:17am On Oct 11, 2009
Lol @ age consideration grin. Like I once said, it only fits some people. I see young chaps get away with it (white and black) on the streets everyday and pull it off well without being an eyesore (maybe because they wear some kind of cotton briefs and not boxers. The boxers sag is soooo eeew-inspiring tongue grin)

grin grin grin

^^^Nice. Read only a bit because I have to sleep, but I'll be coming right back tomorrow to finish it wink cheesy!!  Michael sounds so nice and I already like him lots! Hope he gets a fair chance with the babe.

Lol @ the comments on my "error-free" story. I take care while I'm typing at the start to spare me the stress of proof-reading after I finish. I hate proof-reading and I'm sure you do, too. But I was enjoying your story too much to notice any serious errors, so do what you do and get the story out as fast as you can, or else cheesy!
FoodRe: Egusi Soup Vs Obgono Soup by maedan(f): 3:03am On Oct 11, 2009
^^^That's one hot pot of soup!!! The taste of the ogbono is in the eating, so we have to believe you about the "sweet no be small". At least you tried for wanting to share it with us wink grin.
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 2:58am On Oct 11, 2009
^^^^Indeed. You've said that already, like three times. But once anyone just winds you up again, you'll rise to the bait one more time angry cheesy. Never you mind, keep doing your thing as I try to do a little of mine grin.
FashionRe: Sagging, Is It A Fashion? by maedan(f): 2:55am On Oct 11, 2009
Lol. But you know that some fellows for some reason just omit to wear belt - not out of any "homeboy" sagging trend. It would be a shame for the innocent ones to be bagged along with the unrepentant "saggers" grin.
HealthRe: Height Increase! by maedan(f): 2:49am On Oct 11, 2009
@OP, forget the beans idea grin. It would have worked if you were like three years old and you were grown on the stuff. By now you would have been like 8ft wink grin. However, there are many fashion tricks out there to help you get away with what ever height you're blessed with. Vertical striped tops, tailored trousers etc---a good pair of high heels wouldn't hurt either cheesy. Smart dressing and confident carriage will do wonders for your over all look. Good luck.
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 2:40am On Oct 11, 2009

@dumodust & igbo-boy(my sincere readers wink kiss) I can only do what is within my power cheesy. The story is finished but to actually post it here is the issue. We-ell, that is if @dgreatrock, ogaga4luv, semid4lyfe etc will let us be angry.
FashionRe: Sagging, Is It A Fashion? by maedan(f): 2:32am On Oct 11, 2009
@mohawkchic, whose wild idea was it to make sagging an offence angry grin?? So if someone forgets to wear belt and gets caught he'll be fined for "sagging"?? Seriously, come on grin!
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 5:59pm On Oct 10, 2009
@dgreatrock & co., no wahala cheesy. In fact I go soon dash una the topic to use as you see fit angry angry angry grin.
FashionRe: Sagging, Is It A Fashion? by maedan(f): 5:55pm On Oct 10, 2009
^wow, thanks for sharing that, I would never have known there was a valid reason for the "sagging" phenomenon.
