Lol at the crazy lady. Didn't figure the recipe meant the food, not her!! Tuesday and Friday were hilarious!!!
CelebritiesRe: Madonna Sued For Shakin' Her Groove Thang? by maedan(f): 7:59pm On Oct 18, 2009
Looks like this Madonna is gradually turning into a nuisance undecided. Is she supposed to be doing all this at her age? Well ok if she must, she should respect the feelings of others. She really needs to get a grip huh.
RomanceRe: Next Time When I Go For A Man I'll Be Sure He Comes Equipped With A Brain by maedan(f): 7:53pm On Oct 18, 2009
You could have started by saying exactly what happened wink cheesy. So that the male chauvinists on NL won't start bristling as if you meant that all men don't have brains grin.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 7:33pm On Oct 18, 2009
Is it just me or is Danyl getting scarier every week? When he's hitting the bridge of a song he always opens his mouth so wide you'd think he could swallow the TV!! And Simon should quit being so mean to the other contestants. He hardly has anything nice to say and pushed Cheryl to tears with his criticism.

@mohawkchic, I'm sure you're happy with ur girls (Miss Frank grin grin). They're looking more together now. Even the hairdresser got rid of her freaky weave and has a cool hair do now. They're going on strong but I'm not sure they would outlast the big ones (the girls, the over-25s). And as for the twins cheesy cheesy - I can bet you're keeping your fingers crossed they'd be out this week. And u know what, after their PVC get up last night, so am I!!!
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 2:17pm On Oct 18, 2009
@Jairzinho,
no writer's block. It's finished already in my mind. Thanks for adding your petition wink.

@MyneWhite
Don't mind these men cheesy. I don't know why they chose here for their political/religious/general discourse. You have upped the number to four petition posts grin wink.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 1:52pm On Oct 18, 2009
Best Performances of the night
Jamie Oliver (WOW!!)
Olly Murs (Did you see his crazy moves?? White man can dance!!)
Lloyd Daniels (he could sing the National Anthem and I'll still love it!! He puts a new spin on any song he chooses to sing. He's purrfect grin kiss)

Worst
The Twins ( grin) (Their vocals were shocked shocked shocked. And don't get me started on their clothes and dancing grin grin)
Rachel Adedeji (Her makeup/hair was funny. I loved her clothes, she looks like a star but something is wrong somewhere. She needs a more chilled appearance)

Indifferent To-----
Stacey
Danyl
Lucie
Miss Frank (They were wonderful with their song choice, they're getting better and look great. But like I said, I'm indifferent cheesy cheesy)

Who deserves to go thru to next week based solely on merit---
Joe McElderry (this guy's voice is kiss kiss. Even Simon thinks so. Joe just has to build up on his personality; he needs confidence and funk. Maybe he should borrow some from feisty Olly grin!!)
LiteratureRe: End Of The Road (a Novel) Chapter 1 by maedan(f): 6:34pm On Oct 17, 2009
Lol, @ MyneWhite, sure I understand. And please, please, please make her give him a hard time grin. Then the making up would be more fun. If not for some people and their happy ending fixations, I'd have said she should even leave him cheesy. Ah ah, because of shares he wants to leave the house. Men and their money sef smiley wink.

angry angry angry

One more word on here about my "you snooze you lose tee" and I'll have to report you for derailment of thread cheesy.
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 2:30pm On Oct 17, 2009
lol @ you guys grin - did I forget to mention that you can't petition twice?? But seriously, it's time to conclude. Good things do come to an end wink.
FoodRe: Egusi Soup Vs Obgono Soup by maedan(f): 2:25pm On Oct 17, 2009
Naaaw grin
That would be deemed too off-topic cheesy wink
FoodRe: Egusi Soup Vs Obgono Soup by maedan(f): 2:09pm On Oct 17, 2009
^^^^Lol. I have a pyjamas tee that says exactly that tongue grin.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 11:06am On Oct 16, 2009
@Kenny_G
Well I don't know what you all see in that Danyl. From what I hear he's too over-confident and once made the Kandy Rain girls cry when he told them to their face they could never win it. Also his performances can get too over-zealous but I'm sure Simon will train him better on that grin. One magazine said something about his "bulging" eyes once and it made me laugh!! I just don't want him to win, somehow. Rather than him, let Jamie Afro win. He's cooler wink.
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 10:46am On Oct 16, 2009
lol@dgreat
one down, nine to go wink. Don't let illusion2 catch you spelling my name "meadan" grin smiley wink.

@frank 3.16
You've written better stuff! Then I'd like to see it!! That's cool but don't you mind about the lack of comments etc. It's been said that this section of NL is far from popular, so only the die-hards like me keep a look out for things like stories. I haven't read much of Nigerian writing in a long while so I come here for my fix grin. Your story is very refreshing and I would enjoy it more if it was on a printed page. And now with your permission I'll have it on paper and read it with glee wink grin.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 10:33am On Oct 16, 2009
Lol. Ok, @ Kenny G. You all are still thinking based on Danyl's "best audition" episode. Maybe Joe Elderry doesn't seem loud or flashy like most of the over 25s(eg Jamie, Danyl & co) and he doesn't have the looks, but I tell you he has the best voice. Female best is Lucie Jones. But I'm basing my instinct solely on voice quality, not that they have the so-called "x-factor". But if that Danyl wins I'll eat my hat(if I have one grin). I want Olly Murs to win bc he's so cute and likeable, but that's very unlikely undecided.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 8:00am On Oct 16, 2009
Rachel is far from an extra-ordinary singer, but then no one on this year's version is - except maybe Lucie Jones and Joe McElderry. That guy has the best voice of the competition IMO. And Lucie Jones' version of "I Will Always Love You" is the only one in the world I ever listened to without cringing!! grin. If she ever makes an al bum I wish she'd do that same version on it. It would make a great single!!
TV/MoviesRe: District 9 Is An Insult To Nigerians by maedan(f): 7:53am On Oct 16, 2009
Maybe it's just me and I'm easily put off, but that movie was useless!! Even before I got to the part with all the Nigerian slurs, I was already thinking, WT?? Anyway, like I said, sometimes I'm hard to please.
LiteratureRe: End Of The Road (a Novel) Chapter 1 by maedan(f): 7:41am On Oct 16, 2009
This Edward sef angry angry cheesy. Why can't he see through the ploy?? It's so frustrating!! Well I guess after his troubled childhood he never really learned how to truly trust someone - even his wife, Gladys, the woman he fell in love with. @ MyneWhite, I'd like to see him grovel when the time comes angry wink grin.
LiteratureRe: The Cyber Lover by maedan(f): 7:32am On Oct 16, 2009
@frank 3.16

I'm thinking of printing this stuff out on paper so I can enjoy it like it's the real thing (ie book). It's that good and I want to enjoy it. Hope you wouldn't mind??

I just love interesting secondary school stories!! This is one with a twist and lots of fun. You're good, I have to give you that. I'm not a professional editor so I can't say much about any errors/typos, but all in all you have the skill and that for one is the basic. Well done.
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 7:11am On Oct 16, 2009

@all
Well as you can see illusion2 and ogaga4luv are at it again angry undecided cheesy. And you wonder why I had to round up?? Well I actually believed none of y'all were actually reading the story, so I figured, just wrap it up and let the thread run loose tongue.

But seriously, if anyone really wants me to finish it properly, then a petition of no less than 10 posts must be submitted. LOL grin wink
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 7:02am On Oct 16, 2009
@mohawkchic, trust me, Rachel can do it. Did you see her first live show? (of course you did grin)! She reminded me of Alexandra in the very beginning. They give their all on stage(dancing, singing, performing), while the other girls just stand and sing. And did you see Alexandra perform her single "Bad Boys"? (of course you did grin grin kiss kiss!!!) Now I know why she won. And Rachel has that star quality. Let's just hope the nation doesn't get cold feet about another black girl winning the X-Factor. If they don't, Rachel just might do it wink.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 5:19pm On Oct 15, 2009
Lol @mohawkchic&C2P
Yes, spoken like a true gambler!cheesy
Rachel has a fair chance of winning, come on. Maybe top 4. But she's not going a day too soon. I hope.

Sorry for the break in transmission. Well to cut the long story short, Tiara, Kessy and Itoro did very well in their exams, and finally gained admission into their respective universities of choice. Tiara and Ash, Kessy and Max were fortunate to end up together as a couple, while Itoro of course found her Prince Charming.

So my readers, this is where I draw the curtain. Thanks for the support, in different ways (eg arguing, swearing, and spell-casting cheesy) I actually had a swell time. Ciao wink.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 3:39am On Oct 15, 2009
grin^^^
I guess she doesn't go out of her way to be likeable. Wasn't even interested in her till I heard she might be Nigerian.

What's up with the X-F this year?? Now Loui might be absent for God knows how long. Things had better get better soon. cry smiley
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Liverpool F.C Fans Zone - the Mighty Reds ! by maedan(f): 3:36am On Oct 15, 2009
Hmm'n, @duduspace, I hope we're still talking about football here undecided??

I hope you spend even half of all this effort on your own thread of goners cheesy tongue. But then we all know where the fun's at wink. Keep repping with us in your own way - cos u know we keep it live in liverpool---- cool
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Liverpool F.C Fans Zone - the Mighty Reds ! by maedan(f): 2:09am On Oct 15, 2009
@duduspace
thanks for the offer but no thanks. Better to eat tripe in a place of happiness than to eat chicken peri peri in a place of strife. I never knew you were a goner. No wonder. Go in peace, ok, lol

Going. . .going. . .Goooooone tongue grin.
TV/MoviesRe: X-factor (Who's Watching) by maedan(f): 2:06am On Oct 15, 2009
^^^Lol. So how come everyone is calling Rachel a British Rihanna? Of course the mohawk style has been around for ages, it's just that Rihanna has cultivated a certain version of it that has become popular. Rachel doesn't mind being compared to Rihanna at all ---- in fact, who would tongue?
LiteratureRe: Untitled by maedan(op): 5:26pm On Oct 13, 2009
@dgreat, let's just say there's a time and place for everything under the sun wink cheesy. If only we could all just focus on the story at hand. No one has even suggested even ONE title name. anyway I'll be posting the finish soon and I guess that will be it.
