The workers union is totally irresponsible to expect that their members would be paid as if all is normal. I do not like why it is difficult for companies to inform the market on the steps they have taken to remain afloat during this pandemic. It cannot be business as usual.
Oga calm down, it's irresponsible of management in my own opinion to slash workers salary this period except u r a govt employee.....I have no sympathy for govt staffs

Let us never forget that The market is just a place where we rate management for their actions, not just corporate management but The country's management............ That's why when I see bargains I dive in fully red blooded and hope for the best......
In recent past, tiger brands/Dangote flour sold as low as 0.80k, but on the announcement of The buy back by Dangote, it ranged #2 to #4, finally Olam acquired Dangotr flour for #23+, No body in his right mind would but Dangote Flour for #20 going by the numbers they churn out during the period ............when Pz sold Ribena to sunti they gave a special dividend of #7, Forte oil sold to Ardova for #60+,Wigwe compensated Diamond holders very well, Calcre cleared Wapcos debt books by buying in @ #44............I as a retail investor can only see thus far, I just pray that being the grass under which two big elephant are fighting, that as they fight they can as well poop very well on me for my nourishment

Going through the Annual Report of Larfarge Africa right now, I can say that Ladi Balogun tried in the turn around of Larfarge in clearance of the debt hanging on their necks, He suggested that Larfage would soon set on a campaign of Production line expansion soonest which I am not really happy with but I love the Fact that The Egyptians who were responsible for the debt clearance through the right issues are firmly on board and I want to believe that they would love to recover their Capital before any form of expansion(last right issue sold for #40+).....It was also hinted that they are facing a hugh price war from competitors who i firmly believe is Dangote majorly and BUA...................... The Annual report bears so much Optimism and @ #11, I still believe the Larfarge is fucking Cheap........ I would like to see the new Policy especially on Dividend that the new CEO Dokani would take...............................

Something happened yesterday that I don't understand. I placed a buy order on Morgan to buy 350 units of Dangote cement, the thing went to go and buy just 1 unit. As in they bought 1 unit at 143.4 naira for me. What could have been the cause?
If u received an alert immediately on your buy order stating clearly the details of ur order then it means only 1 unit from ur order was filled rest will probably be credited on monday

question:
Hello friends, can some explain the process to receive e-dividend from zenith bank for a new shareholder with them.
I bought some shares in Feb-2020, before dividend was declared (verified and confirmed). My brokers says that since I already have e-dividend payment process with another bank, that all they need to do is to submit a form I signed to CSCS. That I don’t need to submit anything to Veritas Registrar.

Till today in May-2020, I have not yet received the e-dividend. and no convincing explanation from my brokers.

What could be the problem?
Brother, It is only Veritas that can solve your Problem, Go to Veritas registrar and confirm the problem, They would tell you if you qualified for dividend and what is delaying it....... The brokers job is just to buy and sell on your behalf, The registrars job is Payment of dividend

CAVEAT: this is not a buy/sell recommendation.

Trove is good, if you don't have up to 50k to open a Stockbroking account.

Trove also give you access to foreign stock.

But ......

1. Trove is not a Stockbroker, they work with other brokers(ARM).

2. With Trove you don't have a dedicated CSCS number, the broker (ARM) handle the CSCS.

3. Dividends will not be paid directly to you, it will go to the brokers account and the broker will share the dividends to everyone.

4. Your name is not on any company registrars .If you buy UBA stock on Trove, it is the brokers name that will be on the UBA registrars (Afriprud)

If you have 50K, I will advise you get a proper broker with your CSCS number.
My Brother, thumbs up, Newbies should know that the name of this game is >THE DEVIL IS IN THE DETAILS|<........................

Its wise never to be in such a haste to collect your Profit .................. Learn the game by paying apt attention when veterans are recounting the Scars they have gotten from the Game.........

Im not discrediting Trove, its a good starting point but when you get serious with the game, you will know you need sharper tools....

For all the children not to be his then its clear that this man was sterile. To protect his ego wife has to go and get pregnant elsewhere to save his name and keep his lineage. This was very common in the 80s. Mother in law will even threaten her if she exposes her son to ridicule by telling the truth. Thus the man may not know.
These days most wives will not agree to that pact at least not with husbands consent. I have a friend with such experience. She walked out of the marriage when MIL proposed she get pregnant for another man for her son. May God bless families seeking for the fruit of the womb.
For everything we say, we should know that there are a million and one thing that could be implied..... God knows how much this man is suffering to protect a stupid ego, you need not say much but I can tell you that It is better being ridiculed as childless than being rediculed fathering another mans child in this society

People who want to remain in the market should just focus on health, consumer goods, Agriculture and cement/construction companies.

Banks and other sectors will be neautral for a while.

But I am asked to choose a sector to gamble,I will gladly go for fidson, maybaker and neimeth for now with my reasons.

Most stocks will be on neutral/bearish mode for a while.

Choose your own place to gamble if you must remain in this volatile market caused by covid-19.

Source: https://dailypost.ng/2020/05/04/breaking-buhari-govt-receives-312m-abacha-loot-from-us/

Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has announced that the Nigerian government on Monday received $311,797,866 of the Abacha loot.

The money was repatriated from the United States and the Bailiwick of Jersey after a recent agreement.

Malami, in a statement by his Spokesman, Umar Gwandu, said the amount increased from over $308 million two months ago to $311 million because of the interest that accrued.

He noted that the litigation process for the return of these assets titled “Abacha III” commenced in 2014, while the diplomatic process that culminated into the signing of the Asset Return Agreement in February.

“This Agreement is based on international law and cooperation measures that sets out the procedures for the repatriation, transfer, disposition and management of the assets.

In line with the 2020 Asset Return Agreement, the fund has been transferred to a Central Bank of Nigeria Asset Recovery designated account and would be paid to the National Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) within the next fourteen days.

“The NSIA is responsible for the management and execution of the projects to which the funds will be applied,” the Minister has said.

Malami said the money will be used to fund projects including Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, Abuja – Kano Road, and the Second Niger Bridge.

To ensure transparent management of the returned assets, the Nigerian government promised to, “engage a Civil Society Organisation, who has combined expertise in substantial infrastructure projects, civil engineering, anti-corruption compliance, anti-human trafficking compliance, and procurement to provide additional monitoring and oversight.”
How Can we as NSEMPA also benefit from this WindFall grin

Long overdue. I once visited Unizik in Awka anambra state, an found it hard to understand why access bank would operate two branches in the same university, with both branches separated only by one building(less than a plot of land from each other) they need to close some branches.
This is one thing I dont like about all this consolidation, with the habit of our banks concentrating at a particular spot in a street, u can imagine when zenith and union bank merges the job loss that would be on the horizon........ I kind of love the Japanese system,"very though to get employed in Japan but once employed its for life".....
