BAMOFIN1:
In the days before internet stockbrokers that know somebody that knows a secretary or one worker or another at the NSE used to give profitable tips about yet to be released results to their favoured clients. My recent research of price movement of some companies that recently released their unaudited results shows that some moneybags still have access to this type of information and they profit from it. Consider the sudden price increase of nahco starting three days before the release of its result and same scenario in ucap today. My question here is what is the current means by which companies release their result? Is it by direct upload to NSE corporate disclosure site which means we all see it at the same time or is it first delivered to some junior staff in the NSE office who possibly has no money to buy shares with the info he has? Second question is will it amount to insider trading if somebody with money (who does not work with NSE) actively goes in search of such guy for partnership since some insider trading is lawful?
I want to believe this is where real technical analysis truly shines as it spots herd behaviour before the price movements but I tend not to trust Nigerian data as it tends to defy underlying principles........not that the principles are faulty

Just provide liquidity to our 13% which is on your desk at the floor. You will have your way to your promise Land.If you don't act fast by 10 am this morning,we will reduce the remaining at 10% which means you will be forced to ejaculate prematurely.

This is a time of practicals. If just 13% will crash your momentum stock, that means it's not able.

Wapco and fcmb 10% waste no time to fill up whenever their offers come up.

Going through results and I can say that this year is the worst for petroleum marketing......for the first time in a long history, Total might not be declaring dividend........The pronouncement by the president to stop all sale of petroleum products 30km from the border dealt massively with 3rd and 4th quarter revenue.......Going forward how will Total get back to old time profitability........Or is this a dying business

My red flags are up on Julius Berger result
I noticed the cash flow turned green heavily, I also noticed that there was a substantial reduction in admin expenses...........From my perspective admin expenses for Julius Berger can't be more than paying casual staffs and paperwork to procure materials...... I would really love a thorough dissection of this result.......Based on my little accounting knowledge, Companies especially Jb know 5 years b4 hand the sort of earnings that would accrue to them based on Contracts won.....It is now left for the Accountants to smoothen the earnings ride........

If I go with this assumption, a stellar performance is expected from Jb come year end 2020,and previous years of underperformance seems erased......

Caveat: I'm heavy in JB and would love to know when to take profit on capital appreciation

Both are OK.
Nahco released result toward April, while NPF release toward May
Current price of both
1. NAHCO 2.45
2. NPF 1.13

Q3 EPS
1. NAHCO 48 Kobo, 2019 against 37 kobo, 2018
2. NPF 32 Kobo, 2019 against 21 Kobo, 2018

Dividend history
2017
1. NAHCO 22 Kobo
2. NPF 15 Kobo

2018
1. 25 Kobo
2.17 Kobo

2019
1. NAHCO 25 Kobo
2. NPF 05 Kobo

NPF is cheaper considering their current price, EPS, and dividend history, it was only last year that the pay lower in their dividend comparing with other 2 years. They have impressive q3, and will likely pay up to 15 kobo dividend this year.

Their price is down, because investors are looking for companies that will pay Early dividend, stocks, like UCAP, AFRIPRUDENT, UBA, Zenith bank, E.T.C.
Then toward April, the likes of NPF , Conoil, FO will get attention.

But if you don't want to struggle at the entrance gate toward April, you can enter now and have a nice seat, while waiting for that period. Then you can handover then to the ticket rushers.
How liquid is npf micro finance bank..... How low did it go last year

The Company's Management has declared in official capacity that it doesn't pay tax. And it is not only Unilever that is not. There are also some others.
I was once in a class when I heard the teacher say, most companies especially banks keep 36 separate books for all states in the federation in which they operate in..... This is so as to take advantage of tax incentives that each state has granted according to law, he went as far as saying that it is legal for a company to keep different books say income statement, one for the federal govt, one for the state govt, one for firs, one for state Firs, one for Creditors and one for NSE................ I'm like this people like work, they would just end up confusing the owners.......he quickly reminded me that most corporations run on borrowed money

Another sale. Just like someone said the other time. Herbert Wigwe is selling because of the investment opportunities elsewhere and he did not want to borrow money from the bank. The fundamental of the bank is intact. If you are interested you can buy more.
For Wigwe to be selling at this point in time means what ever opportunity he is keying into is grossly undervalued and underpriced and he is about to hammer big time....... And he is about to hammer big time......and I know big time that whatever opportunity he is keying into is right here lurking fully in this country......

Two train of thoughts come to my mind though....
1.) I see him trying to compensate one of the doZies on the Diamond bank deal

2) which is most probable.... I see him trying to raise seed capital to form an entity like heirs holding(Elumelu) for big fishes to sow into to use in acquiring big Assets.....

This people don't settle for 100% return on investment...... They only look out for returns starting from 1000%

What magic will they perform, please I want to know?
Champion BREW PLC closes at 90 kobo yesterday. According to their q3 their gain moved up with 137.3%, they made EPs of 3.63 kobo in 2019 q3 against 1.53 kobo recorded in 2018 q3.

Will a company which their final year eps will be around 4.84 kobo, pay 2 kobo as dividend? Even if they pay the whole 4.84 kobo as dividend, it can't be compared with likes of FCMB of #1.95 with estimated final year EPs of 70 kobo plus and Fidelity bank of #2.20 with estimated final year EPs of #1. Even upon FCMB and Fidelity bank poor dividend payment, they still pay above 10 kobo or above 10%. But Champion BREW PLS has not paid dividend for years.

If Champion should appreciate by 100% in price, their price will be around #1.80 close to FCMB, then if they move up by 200% that is 2.70, equivalent to Caverton with EPs of above #1.20.

Cham PLC of 33 kobo, has more upward potential, if they maintain their earning up to that of last year.
But they truth still remain, that Champion BREW PLC has returned back to profit, with high margin of percentage improvement, but their earning will still cover some miles to meet up with their current market price.
The managements in NB, Guiness and IB have been trying hard to lobby the government on waivers on critical input materials so as to reduce overhead cost...... @ first I thought it was political vendetta on Peter obi as he is the spear head of international Brewery......., but on second thought the government has set it eyes else where and are trying to build another economic power house for this current set of the ruling class(APC).......Champion breweries no follow jor even for jijo.....The guy had better watch for vita foam and enters when it goes low this year

AS we approach earnings season lets recount some of last years Reggae blues

1.) FBNH disappointed by filling their annual report last as declared a paltry 0.25k after all said and done
2.) Fidelity mistakenly declared 0.22k to the joy of investors later to recall initial result and re-declared 0.11k as usual..... People para tire for nsempa.
3.) Access cut down their dividend significantly as a result of merger with Diamond while at the same time paying off Diamond Shareholders #1...... Lion hearts on this thread Benefitted both ways
4.) All were expecting UBA to shift post from their usual 0.65k final dividend, but trust Toni to always disappoint at the slightest opportunity ,he disappointed and paid the usual 0.65k...
5.) Asiwaju Zenith and cohort GT did their usual , we pray they do same this year increasing their final dividend but CBN has trimmed feathers
6.) UACN told us they have been in this game for long by dipping their hands into retained earnings and paying investors 0.65k, promising us that better days are ahead.........I love that this coy had the intentions of investors at heart, I await the days they will shift dividend goal post........

Please house, I sent e-dividend mandate to Afriprud and they are asking for
1. Evidence of purchase of shares, and
2. Valid ID card
They also said they don't have my specimen signature that I should liaise with my broker to process CSCS transfer form.
Have those processes not been scrapped? I just decided to redo the e-dividend, because I registered on the portal through my bank, but all the others paid only them have refused to pay.
Please what should I do next?
If you bought your stocks on the exchange, go to the brokerage house and fill the edividend mandate there, plese use the form your broker gives you as there is a place for them to sign, also if you have problems with stuffs like shareholders number, they usually supply those nitty picky details for you faster than registrars........ Finally you would need a bankers confirmation of signature addressed to the registrar, If your brokerage house would submit to the registrar, please follow their instruction as this would save you cost of processing Bankers confirmation of Signature for the stocks in your possession
