Good evening NL.

Please I need your help with information. (I am new to the stock/shares market)

My mum has had this stock broker friend with an active firm in Victoria island handle her shares for some years now. I am planning on buying few shares myself, I told her my plans and asked her to link me up with anyone she knows. That was when the topic changed o.

According to her, the last time she received any dividend from her shares which includes GT.bank was about 3years ago. Now eh, that time the total investment was 5m. Last year she called the lady, and she said something about shares crashing and now money don drop to 3m.

*This my question guy...

- What are the documents I am meant to request from this lady, that would show the history of her shares. Inflow and outflow of funds etc.( Just like a bank account has a statement of account)

- She has an account with GT.bank, can I present a "power of authority" to the bank. Cos at this point she needs me to handle the account, she doesn't stay in Nigeria.
Bro knowledge is power, u have come to the right place as the average Nigerian never obeys the prudent mans law of being a good fiduciary.......

Tomorrow by 8am walk into the brokers office and ask for the cscs statement to ur mums account or stock

I use God beg u don't look at any account on their system bearing ur mums name.....

I have suddenly forgotten the name of the brokerage house, the one in Nitel house marina 9th floor, on their system I have about 1 million naira, withdraw my money I can't, use the money to buy shares I can't......... Ok now , the shares that have been bought in my name receive dividend I can't

First get cscs position of ur mums account first

Silly question: Is there any possibility that there will be no markdown on stocks this year? Because everything is ridiculously undervalued - especially the banks. Marking down shares at these prices would be wickedness. How a healthy bank that made N208 billion in 2019 (and has more than N900 billion in retained earnings), is trading at a N600 billion market cap (barely 3X earnings), is perplexing.
Banks are very dicy, remember Lehman Brothers, very sweet company with great financials numbers, even paid dividends a year before they wind down..................All Banks including GT can fold any minute especially if Coys in their loan books become troubled, Skye, Diamond comes to mind........ When the going is good for Banks, its fantastic but when the going is bad Banks are the most catstrophic investment

Has any one heard of Renaissance Technologies that used to be headed by one James Simons(a Phd mathematician), They use Advanced Mathematics to trade............................................ Are this guys present in our market(NSE)
Renaissance is a firm run by and for scientists, employing preferably those with non-financial backgrounds for quantitative finance research like mathematicians, statisticians, pure and experimental physicists, astronomers, and computer scientists. Wall Street experience is frowned on and a flair for science is prized.[19] It is a widely held belief within Renaissance that the herdlike mentality among business school graduates is to blame for poor investor returns.[6] Renaissance engages roughly 150 researchers and computer programmers, half of whom have PhDs in scientific disciplines, at its 50-acre East Setauket campus in Long Island, New York, which is near the State University of New York at Stony Brook.[24] Mathematician Isadore Singer referred to Renaissance's East Setauket office as the best physics and mathematics department in the world.

Thanks boss!
The amps and mixer is about 1800W, additional load to this won't exceed say 300w

The Speakers are in pairs (4sets). Then there's one big PROEL combo speaker, 2 feedback speakers on the altar and 2 more for the instrumentalists. That's about it. The

Initially I estimated 10kvA for the whole church but because of funds I was asked to just cater for the equipments and maybe like 3 industrial fans and about 6 light points. In view of this I'm thinking of using 5kva of which the equipments must be covered.

Would that work?
Budgeting 15kva would work for the church but you would have to put together so many limiting factors...
1.) time of usage
2.) frequency of usage
3.) pls oversize the batteries very well for long life of ur batteries else u will buy another set in 2 years
4.)Pls run away from Ac fans application when using solar, stick with dc fans for the sake of batteries
5.) Since the church brought u in why don't u tell them to implement the solar in phases,as it might involve changing too many things @ once....I don't belive in buying inverter and slamming every thing on it

Thanks bro. My main challenge I couldn't lay hold of the accompanying manual for the three Amps and one big mixer in the church, More so there was nothing to that effect on the bodies of each appliance save for the what is on the below pics
How many speakers do they power @ a time

I guage the professional amps @ 500w each

That's shit loads of power for audio equipment

The mixer amp should be around 300w

Guys, in my church the gen is about 7250W with a P.F of 0.8, so its about 10kva in all. Lately there's need for us to switch to solar power. The first guy gave a quotation of 10kva but then I was brought into the mix and I discovered that the readings on the speakers were something like this; continuous 500w, peak 2000W. When i used the peak value to make estimations i got about 17,000W as total loadings of the speakers. I know the value can't be right because the normal church gen is less than 10000W. The gen powers the church very well but when the pumping machine is added it causes the sound to increase

My questions are these,
1. Does anyone know about speaker output. What the peak and continuos entails?

2. Can a 15kVA effectively power up the church?

I really want to get everything right
Forget ur speakers and check the power consumption of the church amplifier and use it for ur calculation
