modath:This has me wishing there were 1001 ways to like a comment. Should hit home with every discerning mind! Well said! |
modath:Talk about being boxed into a corner. Some people sometimes fail to realize how much the staunchest of their supporters staked just to ensure that they achieve success. Just when you thought that victory has finally been achieved, and you can now point to detractors in the rear view and say, "we did it, we did it!", your "ride-or-die" candidate, now turned president, rides you down in a manner analogized to a Ferrari's tire bursting halfway to the finish line leaving you with so much explaining to do instead. What all of this ultimately leads to is a situation where people doubt the truth, ignore reality and much of the time wonder if the risk was worth it at all. As per Prof., you just helped allayed some fears I've long internalized. I was wary that she could turn out to be just another politician. But your take has me throwing caution to the wind on her. She indeed packs most qualities a modern leader should possess, and surely deserves more than just playing second fiddle. |
STONEGEORGE15:Run back where? I have no history with the PDP to run back to. Before you find that soothing, my support for the president remains unflinching. So you won't hear no wail of frustration from me. This is just a case of certain things not sitting well with me. Nothing more. |
modath:As in. Makes me wonder how you manage to calm fraying nerves at all times. You're easily the most diplomatic I've seen on here. Left between him and Jona, I'll pick him a thousand times over. He's no doubt an upgrade in most sense of the word. His major failings in my eyes, are his emotional attachment to certain things. Prof. Sonaiya was an easy pick for me even in the last election. Wasn't even a contest. But seeing how much a chauvinistic country Nigeria is, I realized even then that she stood no chance at all. If only our people will shed off that toga of jingoism. They want better, but appear reluctant to make requisite sacrifices. |
modath:Sismo, I really am his biggest fan, as can be attested by the large grin splitting my face whenever he sets foot rightly. But for me, that was the last straw. My love for country and people goes deeper than the ephemeral. He's president only for the moment, but with a chaotic Nigeria, we all won't have any place to call home. Appointments as these are the only sense of belonging there is to feel for most. How it is so difficult for him to rationalize that is something I have been unable to fathom. This won't augur well for the unity of the country. It could pit Nigerians against each other faster than can be imagined. I wish the best for him, and hope that he succeeds, but for the sake of posterity, I hope that he leaves, never to return. I'd rather we keep experimenting. That's the one reason why a certain Kwankwaso does not appeal to me at all. Bigots and I do not relate! That said, abeg assess well o. Even if na to contest, you know that we got you! ![]() |
I like Buhari for a lot of reasons. But in light of his glaring one-sided appointments, I will personally lead a campaign against him come 2019, God willing. The Nigerian project is greater than any one individual. No one is perfect, but Nigeria needs a nationalist as president. Someone who gives dissenting voices a reason to stay, not one who threatens the consequences of daring to leave. A president should be a unifying force, not an agent of destabilization. Mr. President has always given the naysayers a reason to chant "I said it!" Try again, Nigeria, we shall get it right someday. As far as the appointments, grazing bill and Fulani herdsmen brouhaha go, Mr. President is one big error! Voice of a concerned northerner. |

MrEverest:You are a very stupid nincompoop! Did your father plant any oil in your backyard? Idiot! Better go seek good ways of bettering your life! How is it the fault of the northerners that your good for nothing brothers take to vices at every turn? |
Yesu! She's so picture perfect much that she redefines beauty. Please, no drama, kin ji Ko, yarinya mai kyau? God bless your union! |
BlackSeptember:Na only you dey suffer an o. Because him dey Saudi Arabia. ![]() Even me wey dey naija with you no dey suffer am. E b like na wetin your hero do dey make you suffer so. Cos e get one talk wey say,"the evil that men do, liveth after them!" |
StOla:You can't talk sense into a scarecrow. |
Nkem4040:When we refer to them as sophisticated, you people claim sophistication is overrated. Religion has never been an object to the Yorubas, and shall never be. They were taught better than that. They vote not based on religious bias, but on political expediency. They are a family whose bonds transcend any religious boundaries. That man you see on hajj, his wife is a devoted Christian! You obviously need a lesson or two on tolerance. |
modath:Hahaha. That just upped my shyness. We dey try helep our brothers so that dem no go leap in the dark. |
.. |
modath:Ese, sister mo. This means twice as much coming from an erudite person like you personally. |
ugsams:Oh wow, how humbling! I appreciate. I look forward to it. Thank you! |
Some people need to first sit back, take a deep breath and ponder, "after I've killed the person, then what?" "Will it improve my situation in any way? Will it lighten my burden? Better yet, did Bill Gates make so much money off gun power?" Certain people are the "roaring lion seeking whom to devour" that the bible described. Put in other words, they are the devil himself! Bad thing is, they often go unpunished. |
I feel the passion in his words. donsteady:Do us a favor--stay far away from politics as possible! ![]() |
Power tussle in 4k resolution. |
KuliMart:How much will it cost? |
PassingShot: .Lol. He will be a dollar billionaire in record time if he channeled such gusto into a gainful activity. Wouldn't be far-fetched if it's alleged that he suffers from an APC anxiety disorder. |
PassingShot:That guy is one of the terrorists who have now pitched their tents on the Internet like Buratai alleged. ![]() |
kcnwaigbo:Now, supposing you passed O'Level English, should your credentials be rendered suspect on account of your improper grammar? |
I see a reprieve on the horizon. With things gradually taking shape, the naira will further appreciate sooner rather than later. The future sure looks promising. The depreciation really hit the economy hard. The rippling effect has not been this bad in a long long while. |
jublazer:Hehe. Me wey feel say I even delay? ![]() |
When a technocrat leads... Ibe Kachikwu is about the brightest starlight of this administration so far. The man indeed knows his onions. Should all these be realized, it will mark a turning point for Nigeria and Nigerians at large. May God keep you safe, sound, and continually replenish your wisdom! This administration indeed has a plan. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria! God bless its leaders! God bless Ibe Kachikwu! God bless those occupying the offices of the citizens of the federal republic! |
KuliMart:Do you have the one plus 3? |
Imagine. Shebi when they were busy bombing everywhere, you posed a body language as if to suggest, "I am in full support, well done, guys!"? You never jam! Lots of innocent people have been caught up in this shii.. It's them I feel so sorry for. Support evil all you want, but those who really matter and their wards will never get caught up in the crossfire. Na you wey never see food chop go suffer am! OjukwuWarBird:You that are so progressive, how come you are letting out this wail of frustration over Nigeria's matter? How much quota have you contributed to growing your immediate community? |
OP, you are a sound somebody! Some people just don't look beyond their noses. Any movement that's an offspring of hate and propaganda does not get far. Nigeria may be a contraption to some, but it's home to most. The individual is self centred, and that selfishness dwells with them regardless where they live. It takes benevolent leaders to promote human life and the well-being of everyone--even with those, there will still be both winners and losers among the populace. Only a few persons can achieve that. Problem is, such people are those with 0.0000000099 chances of getting into power. Breaking Nigeria into pieces will lead to an unprecedented strife. Assuming for instance that Biafra becomes independent and achieve the level of success that she desires, will she be able to enjoy her wealth in peace with her poor and hungry next door neighbours lurking? The poor will definitely pounce! We sometimes make the mistake of likening ourselves to the US. Thing is, a larger percentage of the US soil is guarded by sea, which renders it not easily penetrable to foes + she has the luck of having a rich Canada next door. Despite that, Mexico still gives them a lot of headache. Can the same be said of any region in Nigeria? To live in peace, your neighbour must be at peace. Think of Nigeria as a contract--negotiate a fair deal for yourself. The rest is fairytale. Your fair deal could be to push for fiscal federalism or just anything. But it's a joke taken to far for anyone to think they will live in affluence while their neighbours suffer. It's akin to a rich man living in a poor neighborhood. There's a reason why even South Korea occasionally renders financial assistance to NK. That said, personally I am indifferent as to what becomes of Nigeria, but for the sake of posterity and those that might be negatively affected, it calls for concern. |
bluemorg72:Been waiting for the phone's arrival in Naija. Do you havel it in Stock? |

But I'm going to have to find a platform to attach myself to, if we all keep running away , only miscreants and thugs will rule us... If we dont occupy a position, we have to make sure the right people get there.. Kowa is a nice location.... Thieves never plenty.. Prof Sonaiya is also the real deal..
