Most of those carrying big Bibles about in Nigeria and claiming to be Christians know absolutely nothing about the faith. Jesus wasn't even a Christian! He was an ordinary Jew who came with a different teaching. The temples he went to were Jewish temples. Those who followed his teachings would later be called Christians or followers of Christ's teachings.

This is sad. And it's not the only one. I used to be like this - shaking with cold even in warm weather - once it's Nigeria in the AFCON or Arsenal against any other team. There's something I don't understand about Nigerians. The same people on this thread blasting and cursing the governors [and they deserve it] will clap and hail the same governors when they see the governors in person. I am trying to understand why Nigerians are in awe of their politicians even when those politicians have shown over and over that they are useless.

Till today, we haven't recovered from SAP, IMF, World Bank captivities that IBB led us into and guess who was the Finance minister at the time, an economist and an ex-World Bank staff, Dr Kalu Idika. I don't know what you mean by "tested". One thing you must understand is that good goalkeeping is much more than stopping shots. These days it includes being tidy in possession, an ability with the feet, efficient distribution of the ball, having good command of the goal area, being able to stop shots, and above all else inspiring confidence in the defenders around you. Which one hasn't Bobo been tested on? Did you see the save with his body against Cameroon? I think his biggest quality is the calmness he's brought to the Nigerian defense compared to the helter skelter days of Francis Uzoho.

No amount of threats will save the naira. It will continue to languish because a country must sell things to earn foreign exchange. If they can't sell anything, they must live within their means - manage whatever little foreign exchange they can get, stop/reduce importation, and start producing their own food, at least. It means that country MUST eliminate waste and public corruption. This is the abc of saving the naira and not these useless diet of empty threats.

There's no saving the naira because you lot are lazy. You sell nothing that the rest of the world needs [which is how the dollar is earned] and you buy up everything the the rest of the world offers for sale [which is how you spend the little dollar you earn, but then you want some more]. It's called demand and supply. Added to this, you lot are too corrupt to make any economic system work! Check it any way you like, the one rule of any effective market - which is when demand and supply determine winners and losers - struggles seriously in any system defined by endemic corruption. Nigeria is too corrupt to manage the naira. Emefiele was very much a part of the problem - more so than the current regime which has also been defined by corruption. Period.

The current gov also restricted currency supply to check inflation. He has informally created a list of prohibited items by sending majority of forex buyers to black market(the major market anyways). He is printing money to pay unproductive civil workforce unlike emefiele who at least paid farmers via ABS to get food.
