Two things. First, Nigerians generally behave like the Roman mob of the Brutus and Mark Anthony era. They follow whoever spoke last - no individual judgment, no capacity to process and reflect on anything, just plain emotional reaction to the most recent speaker, whoever that is.

Second, we are done for as humans in this social media world which basically rewards notoriety and noisemaking. Many people might think Reno Omokri is a straight up guy. But this is just an unemployed "social media influencer" monetizing bullshit, sensationalism and notoriety. The more divisions and controversies he's able to stir up, the more money he makes - that's the model of this social media world. How is it that someone could descend so swiftly from being the eyes and ears of the Nigerian President (which Omokri was to Goodluck Jonathan) to a social media noisemaker, causing confusion and muddying the waters of every single debate he gets himself involved in? And how could Naira Marley settle on Omokri as the first person to have an interview with on this very grave issue when Omokri is not a trained journalist or anything resembling that? Come on people!

Tomorrow is Sunday. Nigerian churches will be full to overflowing with so-called Christians. Come Monday, they'll all return to their superstitions about disappearing manhoods, money rituals, stolen destinies, etc. Jesus said it all. These people honor me with their lips. But their heart is far from me.

Why is he lying now? He's supposed to be a Pastor, right? The rehabilitation he's seeking wouldn't (and shouldn't) happen.

So long as Nigerian politicians continue to spend money they haven't earned, the naira will continue to suffer. It's not rocket science. Not only are you not selling anything to earn foreign exchange, you're also voracious in your appetite for everything imported - cars, clothes, toothpicks, tomato paste, etc. Whose foreign exchange do you want to spend? There's no saving the naira until the politicians learn a lesson which they won't.

This saga about Tinubu and his dodgy educational and academic bona fides started in way back 1999, i.e., 24 years ago. Somehow, just somehow someone suddenly crawls out of the woodwork with some more dodgy claims. Where has Durojaiye Ogunsanya been for the past 24 years? Inquiring minds want to know!

Yekini's death makes me angry to this day. He served Nigeria. He was generous to a fault as reported. Hundreds took advantage of his generosity, even his own friends and family. Yet he died in misery. If ever there's paradise, here's one deserving soul. Continue to rest in power, Yeking!

Simple calculation tells you that under that incompetent bigot, Buhari the security for Miyetti Allah was provided by the Nigerian military, Police, Air Force, Navy, etc. They probably don't see that happening under Tinubu and have decided to take laws into their own hands.

Once every little while, Nigerians are brutally reminded that their once hopeful country is officially a sick, despairing parody.

Of course, that's true because your heartlessness, tribalism, hypocrisy, and backstabbing all scream to the heavens. Any country where people like you occupy high public office is in real trouble.

These one a dime pastors said the same about Buhari. We all know how that ended in disaster of epic proportions.

Don't ever sleep on Benson Idonije. I believe he presented an evergreen music show on Radio Nigeria 2 around 1988-1989. I used to love that show back then. It was much later I learnt he was one of the early managers of Fela the Abami Eda himself. I guess that says a lot about Mr. Idonije.

Didn't Buhari lift them already? Ok. I get it. Tinubu will transfer them from the fry pan to the fire - which he is already doing, anyways.

Buhari mourned in power for eight years. Out of power, he's still mourning. He's a plague.

Nigeria literally full of useless agencies like NIMASA reporting their crimes once unfortunate events like this occur. Where was NIMASA when a complete oil rig was constructed from scratch and stood there illegally, according to them, for over 7 years?

If that hot mic hadn't outed that sleazebag Akpabio, would they still have been foaming in the mouth all this while struggling to explain the unexplainable? These shifting justifications look like INEC's Prof. Mahmud trying to explain what happened to the BVAS & IREV!

Nigerian politicians must rank among the laziest and the most incompetent in the world!

I will continue to dish out my one pence nuggets of wisdom on here. There's no saving the naira because Nigeria isn't selling anything to the rest of the world beside crude oil. Crude oil is going out of fashion fast, the price is dodgy, and much of it in Nigeria is stolen anyways. A practical, short-term fix would be to drastically reduce the size of the government and bureaucracy. Who will do this? Godswill Akpabio and his Senate? Or a clearly compromised Tinubu? Can you imagine having almost 50 mostly useless Ministers in a struggling, 36 - state country?

Two things. Nigeians talk about a free market as if they know what it means or how it functions. That's not necessarily the case. This so-called subsidy removal teaches us all this lesson. A free market is an illusion in a perversely corrupt society like Nigeria. Grand corruption on its own is enough to distort any market.

You lot are just insufferable. If "Hausa and Yoruba DO NOT" want to own property in Igboland whose problem is that? During election season you said they cannot own land over there in the sense of being denied even if they would want to. Now it's that they do not want to which means it's their choice and not the denial of opportunities based on some ethnic bullshit. But then you're the typical Nigerian. Once their talking points unravel, they shift the goalpost.

And those people are right. That a Yoruba man wants to have an estate in Igbo land today does not dilute the fact that Yoruba and Hausa do not want to own property in Igbo land. The way Nigerians see everything as rocket science is simply overwhelming. Corruption and laziness has made many blind and useless. It's not enough to instal a lift. You must maintain it too. Now that they have handed in installer to the police what happens to the "maintainer"? And what happens to those who were told repeatedly as the story goes that the lift had a fault?

All you ethnic jingoists who see ethnicity and tribe in everything Nigerian, how do you people sleep at night? I'm sure you could say your bit here without the tribal innuendo. Every day you blame politicians for all the country's ills, but you also routinely pass comments like this, oblivious to the more grievous damage you do to the country.
