We had a President but somehow we're being led to believe Emefiele was running things. Don't get me wrong - Emefiele was the worst Governor in the annals of central banking. But this nonsense of him ignoring, disobeying Buhari, bla bla bla must stop. He didn't have such powers unless the lazy, incompetent, cronically unaware Buhari allowed it.

Isn't it interesting how Nigerians like Frank Edoho pattern their views and opinions according to how they live or have lived their lives? Then many, as in the comments here, apply those views and opinions in their own relationships and are totally ruined? Edoho already has a divorce to his name. Is that the kind of person you'd seek relationship advice/counsel from?

How reasonable is it for any self-respecting traditional ruler to leave his throne and go all the way to the home of a morally and ethically challenged politician to celebrate his birthday? Or is it that this so-called traditional ruler have no shame at all?

Doesn't really matter which state it is - Lagos, Rivers, Kano, Enugu - they're all the same. So, keep your tribalism to yourself. My village is more capable of sustaining a well-adjusted, peaceful, serene human existence than your slum, pile of waste Lagos.

In a lawless society, these yearly rituals are meaningless. They beat the drums and then squander the money as they like without any accountability.

This said governor was only "selected" last February. He was personally selected by Wike. Why are Nigerians like this FFS? Why? And what's this furore about? It's certainly not about the interests of the people of Rivers state. This governor, if he ever had any positive plans for the people of Rivers state, must now suspend those plans in favor of surviving in office first.

As hard as it is to agree with a Nigerian politician on anything, I must say Atiku is right on this one. Premium Times should be ashamed of themselves. This is not journalism. They're carrying water for the Baba who mustn't be named.

The socialization of Nigerian women is terrible. They want every single bill picked up regardless of their own wealth. But the rest of the world is leaving them behind.

Besides, people on minimum wage in the advanced societies have social security protections from health insurance to tax credits and other subsidies. People should just stop dabbling into topics they know nothing about.

Of course, why not? Get some bad press and then weaponize the poverty eating Nigerians alive to ingratiate yourself back into the society's good graces. What's really sad is that some who shouted "Justice for Mohbad" only a few weeks ago would be among those scrambling for these crumbs.

Is there a more ignorant, useless and reckless politician in Nigeria as Godswill Akpabio? And by the way, what's God doing in his name? That's heresy!

It required a certain degree of will power to ignore this program even as people flocked to it back in the day. I still detest how Africans instantly gravitate towards the superstitious and paranormal. This man's program was almost religion to some. On a serious note, it's time for Mr. Ibu to help those who have been helping him by being more committed to his own health. It's obvious he suffers from diabetes. It's a sickness that can only be controlled. It cannot be cured. He has to make some difficult lifestyle changes - cut down his weight [especially his belly], eat healthier and exercise. These are things he must do - they're not optional - if he wants to stay healthy and out of hospital. I wish him the best.

No kidding. The current crop of Nigerian goalkeepers are a disaster. Nigeria wins nothing with that Uzoho guy in goal. After Vincent Enyeama, the closest we ever came to having a goalkeeper worth that description was Carl Ikeme. All of them since then have been a travesty.

What are the soldiers still waiting for? They should rise up now and flush out these bandits for whatever it's worth!
