All of a sudden, he tried to spin his way around as if he meant what I explicated to him in clear terms.

Politics › Re: Poverty Rate Of The 36 States Of The Federation Zamfara Top The Chart With 91% by mapet: 9:51am On Nov 03, 2017
When I pointed out to him that his submission is turning logic on its head. I told him that you don't grow IGR simply by borrowing money (more like his thinking is that Aregbesola borrowed money and added to an account called IGR? grin grin grin), I explained to him that his borrowing is to address infrastructure deficit which stimulate the economy to attract more IGR........He then spun things around that I simply restarted what he earlier meant and that I was the one contradicting myself.

Now these were the realities
1. He did not understand IGR, how it is conceptualised and how it operates. I remeber I even explained to him once that IGR was not static and the aspiration of every govt is to grow IGR.
2. if his basis of argument was on IGR and he well understood it, then why the needless arguement that about how Osun supposedly "grew IGR"

Politics › Re: Poverty Rate Of The 36 States Of The Federation Zamfara Top The Chart With 91% by mapet: 9:47am On Nov 03, 2017
Then we pointed out to him that according to NBS stats, Osun generated over N8b in IGR and that his argument that Osun was not growing IGR falls flat, he then made a ridiculous statement that Osun borrowed money and grew IGR to N8b

Politics › Re: Poverty Rate Of The 36 States Of The Federation Zamfara Top The Chart With 91% by mapet: 9:45am On Nov 03, 2017
Then it was now proven to him that not only had Osun grown its IGR, and that Osun was one of the states with decent IGR profile. I told him that according to stats, Osun was 16th on IGR ratings, generated 14% of the FAAC allocation in terms of IGR and that states that were in danger are the ones who generated less than 10%. His next move is to ask a daft question, "why is Osun not doing better?"

Politics › Re: Poverty Rate Of The 36 States Of The Federation Zamfara Top The Chart With 91% by mapet: 9:36am On Nov 03, 2017
@deomelo; @Desyner

So we were having what I thought should have been a credible argument. Prior to this, @Desyner had been "Osun had no IGR", "Osun cannot raise the needed IGR" infact he made an accertion that Osun was not growing its IGR

When our kids refuse to be properly educated, get knowledge in school but rant and rave about useless things on social media, this is what you find. Are you any suprised that the idi.ot Adebowale Ogunmusi also got some deranged people on NL supporting his ignorance?

Politics › Re: Jonathan To Metuh: Deposit N1bn For My Transport For Me To Testify in Your Case by mapet: 8:35am On Oct 31, 2017
seunmsg:
This is not PMB's doing. Metuhs major defence in court is that there was no mens rea (guilty mind) when he collected the N400million from ONSA as directed by Jonathan. Only Jonathan and Dasuki can corroborate his claim hence, the need for both of them to appear as defence witness. If Jonathan found a way to vacate the subpoena order, Metuh his toast. His defence will crumble. So you see, Metuh is now between the devil and the deep blue sea.

BTW, this Metuh case is even the small one that Jonathan will have to deal with. Once the trial of Dasuki start fully, he will also subpoena Jonathan as defence witness. Jonathan has lots of cases to answer whether he likes it or not. He can't go on forever throwing every of his loyalist involved in corruption cases under the bus.
You are right on this......he will have to ultimately bear the responsibility

I don't pray any Southern state should agreee on hosting the nuclear reactor rather it should be sited in Daura since a train station is coming there and also it's close proximity to Niger Republic that has the raw material which is Uranium.
Man your mention is dumb. The issue with people like you is that you guys cling to petty emotions rather than scientific research. You don't understand science behind nuclear power nor do you comprehend my comments. Did I say we should use uranium? Did you not see me mention thorium salt reactors or do you not know there's a difference?
This is a classic intellectual upper-cut.

@Blue3k,

You should not be too surprised, it seem that while gaining knowledge requires hard work, ignorance on the other hand is a contagion

Throwback:
Besides, Jonathan argued that Metuh was not a personal aide or his appointee and, therefore, could not have dealt with the President directly under any circumstance to warrant the invitation of the applicant to testify in the charge.

He further submitted that there was no nexus between him and Metuh and the charge for which the defendants are standing trial.
Metuh wey say he will never betray Jonathan, yet he wants him to come and dance naked at the town square with paparazzi waiting with their cameras.

But is it fair that Jonathan will deny someone from his political backbone tribe? Jonathan almost claim not to have known Metuh from Adam, just to avoid legal responsibilities that will eventually lead to admission of criminality and corruption.

Children must learn a valuable lesson here.
Never commit a crime for a man with power. He will deny you the way Jonathan has denied Metuh thrice, while he sorts himself out with the other powers that be.
It was always going to come to this. I believe it's either the greed that comes with unfettered access to money that makes people forget that precedent connects with posterity. In the days of banks collapse and scandals, I remember the case of a bank (was it Citizens Bank) whom the CFO was jailed. His excuse that he was only carrying out the instructions from his boss was thrown out. The judge submitted that you cannot hide under the garb of "management directive" to commit a crime

In addition, he submitted that the evidence sought to be obtained from Jonathan was likely to expose the former President to a criminal charge, penalty or forfeiture.
Above is why Jonathan is scared to death of appearing in court. Sorry Metuh, you just got thrown under the bus by the same person you went all the way out for before the last election. All political asslickers around the president better learn from Metuhs case. Once shiit get real, you are going to be abandoned to your fate.
It's no brainer. I raise this poser last week, that either ways GEJ is on the back foot on this. I think this statement was made by his lawyer and probably signal to PMB; reminding PMB of the promise/agreement that he will not prosecute GEJ

You have missed my point entirely. I don't know why this thing is being discoloured with politics( the guys I spoke with at the UK end still maintain their position and all I'm interested in is that Nigeria becomes THE major player in yam exports.
If anything objective, there was a paragraph where you said the blame (which blame,if not for the rotten yams) should be put at the doorsteps of the customs and not the ministry of agriculture (Infact if anything Chief Ogbeh and his MOA people should be commended for championing the yam export cause, and of course if you go back to my submission again,I did not even blame the ministry of agric as they have nothing to do with the yams spending more time at the port.
The bottom line is that instead of trading blames and demonizing AIT, I maintain they should be commended for pointing out the threats to this yam export , which nobody was ready to report in the first place, at least subsequent exporters and even importers,as well as the stakeholders (like customs) now know how to better play their parts to ensure profitable and scandal free transaction ,this is the only way everyone involved in the value chain of this business will benefit and grow to claim the dominant position from Ghana not only in the sub region but globally
1. Let's start addressing the political angle from AIT's needless perspective to reportage, damaging a good initiative for inexplicable reasons
2. I wonder where your moral compass is. You want us to praise AIT, whom the exporters accuse of inaccurate reporting, falsifying information and painting wrong perspectives?
3. There is no scandal in this, to the best of my understanding. What we are going through is the realities of the intricases involved in the Yam export business. Ghana has been in this business for a decade. Do you think we can come an upstage Ghana overnight without learning the ropes. We learn to crawl, then baby-steps, then walk before we can sprint. We now understand that our current processes at the port was not prepared for export of this nature, so all stakeholders can now come together and get the necessary permits, waivers, specialised storage and quality control that is necessary. We have demonstrated the will, it is left for follow through.

Ask a Nairalander called mapet, he works directly with Aregbesola.
And who do you work for since you go from thread to thread crying over Osun state and Aregbeshola 24/7 instead of your worthless, unproductive and project-less SE governors?

Argbeshola and Osun state delivered more projects than all your useless SE states combined?

Abi would you like to show us what they commissioned in Eboyin, Enugu, Abia, in Anambra apart from the substandard village flyover?

Again, the fact that you people cry over Osun states mean you admire Osun, you are jealous of Osun and Aregbe's achievements intimidates you because I don't get the silly fixation on Osun state while your own useless states rots away with zero development.

Is there any sin balancing projects with IGR that will sustain those projects? Your fiscal rascal of a governor has borrowed to deliver unmaintainable project and I think any average thinking Nigerian will agree we lack maintenance culture in Nigeria. Where will the money to pay workers come from if Aregbe can't pay the current low salaries he is suppose to.
You think awarding contracts on debt makes him genius or what exactly are you about here?
Taking debt to do infrastructure is not what I am against, excessive debt is what I am against. Aregbe gambled heavily on FG allocation and it backfired spectacularly.
