Harmonize all biometric data of Nigerians and stop using NIN as the only achievement of your ministry. Insecurity is still very high in Nigeria despite the hype about NIN-SIM linkage. |
The bandits operate freely because they are seen as businessmen by the authorities. The flag-waving protesters are far more dangerous than these AK 47-carrying terrorists. As long as they are even considered for amnesty by Gumi, they will continue to murder innocent Nigerians to buttress their point as amnesty seeking businessmen. |
Tomorrow will surely come when all lies will be revealed. |
I thought security has drastically improved under Buhari. Hypocrisy of Arewa is part of the problem. Speaking with both sides of the mouth brought the country to this point of ignominy. The chicken has finally come home to roost. The bandits are not terrorists but businessmen. Let the bloody business continue until a top government official becomes a victim. |
The invasion of Justice Mary Odili's house was an attempt to repeat the "Onoghen" treatment using another format. It is incredulous to claim that a fake police officer led a formidable team to an operation that lasted for hours to the house of the justice next in line to succeed Mohammed Tanko. If not for the resistance of her lordship to these twilight invaders, the story would have been different. |
This kind of visuals can only come from Explorers. You are one of the reasons I visit this platform. Keep informing us with your brilliant reports. |
There was a country. |
I hope this government understands the principle of power separation. Intimidation of the judiciary will not make the executive stronger but will eventually kill our weakened democracy. If the supreme court Justice has questions to answer, follow due process and invite her for questioning. This Gestapo style is weakening our institutions and portraying this country in very bad light. Rule of law seems to be disappearing from our version of democracy. |
When someone somewhere is looking for a child to cuddle, this woman buried her bundle of joy alive because she refused to face the consequences of her inability to zip up or put her libido in check. Thank God the child was destined to survive. |
It is becoming glaring that Gumi had a relationship with these terrorists yet the government cannot investigate him. A country that holds different standards for its justice system has eroded the confidence of the people on them to fair hearing and equity. |
The rate at which these loans are collected, I hope there will be something left for the future generations of Nigeria. Must we mortgage the future of our nation in the hands of foreign creditors in the name of infrastructure provision? I hope there is a plan B for the repayment before the end of this regime. If we cannot bequeath riches to our children, we must not accumulate debts for them. Let every generation take care of its needs. |
Let the relevant government agencies carry out investigation to ascertain the veracity of these claims. There is systemic corruption in Nigeria Public Service. I hope those found culpable will be brought to book. |
The home state of the president should be a haven of peace but the security situation there is almost spiralling out of control. Listening to governor Masari on Channels this evening, I was tempted to believe that Katsina people need devine intervention to overcome their security challenges. If Katsina that hosts the C in C is struggling with insecurity, other states should wake up and secure their people from these marauders. "Things fall apart when the centre cannot hold" - Achebe |
This is a good step towards restructuring of Nigeria. Some items in EXCLUSIVE LIST must give way for the states to look like the federating units in a federation. Those who use Hisbah to break beer bottles in Sabon Gari Kano but enjoy the proceeds from VAT for beer sales in other sales will think twice. The only way for Nigeria to develop is to weaken the centre and encourage healthy competition among the states. Those that encourage terrorism in their states may begin to tax the ransome collected by their bandits who they forgive easily and reintegrate into their society. There is hope for Nigeria if this judgement on VAT survives up to the supreme court. Nigerian survival depends on her restructuring. |
That will be nice. My only worry is unavailability of the pictures of these slain bandits. |
Good luck to him. We hope to hear more of him and more titles after his father's tenure. |
It is difficult to win the war against insurgency if those in the battle front are poorly motivated and equipped to deliver results. |
Her love for you is questionable. I hope you are not going through infatuation. |
I doubt if there is a genuine desire by the politicians especially the lawmakers under this regime to salvage their already battered image. Screening Lauretta amidst the widespread opposition to her nomination is a proof of the huge disconnect between them and the people. The storm raised by the purported clause in the Electoral Act forbidding electronic transmission of election results is yet to settle. The presence of Lauretta Onochie as INEC commissioner will deprive the electoral umpire of any credibility and neutrality. The road to free and fair elections in Nigeria seems endless. |
The NYSC that was introduced after the civil war to foster unity in Nigeria may soon be a thing of the past. Many graduates and their parents are not willing to partake in the program due to the deteriorating security situation in different parts of Nigeria. Kidnapping and other terrorist activities in the north especially has made it difficult for young graduates from the south to go there to serve their fatherland. Northern graduates are also not comfortable to leave their comfort zone in service of Nigeria. The most daunting task for the government of today is to reunite Nigeria and restore the confidence of Nigerians of diverse ethnic groups. So far, the divisive forces acting on this country is much stronger than the uniting force. Nepotism and insecurity has eroded the relevance of NYSC. |

They had all the time to record this for our attention right? If the proposal was not accepted before the car gift, anything can still happen in the near future considering the man's MAGNANIMITY. These nairaland fairy tales are becoming boring. |
Please find out of she loves you too. You can forgive her but review the relationship if it can mature to marriage. If she cheated on you while you are still dating, nothing stops her from frolicking with her Ex after marriage. Think well bro and don't let your emotions overcome your sense of reasoning. |
The level of wickedness in our land is alarming. Whoever did this to the poor woman is worse than a beast. Even an animal cannot annihilate these crops this way. This is horrible. |
World class players are attracted to England because of money to add glamour to the premiership. England as a country has not done well at the international level. Reaching the finals of a major tournament since 1966 is a poor record for a country that is overrated as the home of football. |
Throwback pictures are mostly for people who have excelled in one area or the other in their lives. Do not destroy your archival pictures yet, the world will like to see them when you arrive. Do not give up, be diligent in whatever you do now. The world is waiting to hear your story. Shalom |
Too much blood shed in our country. |
Blackberry was a popular phone in Nigeria especially among the ladies in campus. Many were busy pinging while lectures were going on. Others were ready to do anything to have one because it was a status symbol in campus. Never kill yourself for anything today, it may be out of fashion tomorrow. I am sure the company is still producing phones but the frenzy in the campus has almost disappeared. |
The terrorists referred to as bandits by the government are having a field day in the north. The sanctity of Nigerian lives does not count anymore. When those who deserve punishment are pampered for political reasons, the law abiding citizens will be at the mercy of these pampered terrorists. Somalia will have better security than Nigeria if we continue at this rate. There is no better indicator of failure of state than the breakdown of law and order. Nigerians are urged by the government to forgive terrorists who the government claims have repented and the country continuosly bleeds in the hands of these murderers. Repentance without remorse and attitudinal change is deceit. |

Agitation is usually caused by injustice. If the issues necessitating the rallies are not addressed, there will still be future rallies. It is better to engage in fruitful negotiations than to be always chasing the citizens with teargas to stifle dissenting opinion. |
RichDad1:Good to read from RichDad after sometime. I have always enjoyed your posts here. I hope those who are quick to throw the first stone can withstand the consequences of their actions. Hamas is good in stoking the embers of war to whip up global sentiments against Isreal but the Jews see themselves as an endangered species in the middle East that must defend themselves at all times if they are to remain in the world map. |
