There is no need to beg for surrender. The military should do the needful unless the bandits are no longer threat to national security. I hope the next thing will not be an offer of Amnesty. It is time for the military to show their might. No retreat, no surrender. |
This is good but the states should make haste to pass the Child Rights Act. This rape incident is becoming worrisome. Also rape cases involving the BIG MEN should be given equal attention and publicity. |
NaijaOlosho:Hahaha, there has been a transition from transparency to translucency and finally to opacity. SERAP has followed this transition hence, the need to confirm their suspicion. |
Oshiomole used unionism to deceive gullible Nigerians to grab political power. His true nature manifested when he grabbed power. He led the "Occupy Nigeria movement" to frustrate the first move to deregulate the petroleum industry. Today, he is singing a different tune. I pity those who look up to such men of unstable ideals. A leader should be a compass with which his followers navigate to their desired destination. |
Does it matter who is in charge now? |
I was excited to see him in the mosque but disappointed that he couldn't even exchange pleasantries or talk to the journalists/reporters. I feel bad that i can only see my president but cannot hear him address the nation through live interview with reporters or live address on television. |
Life is about choices and every choice has its consequences. Nigerians who supported and voted for him should live with their choice. There are still over 36 months to go. Abeg Prof should harvest the fruits he planted in 2015. I do not care who is in charge, my attention is on 2023 |
Victor will surely win more laurels for himself and Africa. He is currently Nigerian greatest football export to Europe. More to come, Kudos to him. |
Untill we hear their own side of the story... all fingers still crossed. |
LukasPodolski:You were almost counted as wise until you expressed your folly above. Congrats for proving the audience right. |
They have been in cold war before now. Do they want to chill the war further? We are waiting and watching. |
With this, the aim of the interstate lock down is defeated. They should allow interstate movement since the Covid 19 vaccine is still being expected. Businesses are crumbling and the virus is still spreading. A sickness that cannot be cured should be prevented or endured. |
Bash has pursued this fight for a long time. If he doesn't have the support of the government and sponsors, he should reconsider his chances of making it happen. |
Do not expect too much from people to avoid disappointment. Work hard and trust God for your breakthrough in life. Lamentations of "neglect"by someone in whose life you have not invested much portrays you as a lazy person. In life, you keep meeting new friends as you climb the ladder of success. Prove your relevance in his life now, I know many like you are feeling the same way towards him. Every successful man will naturally be attracted to many but their freedom of association should also be respected by others. I am not sure that you are still dinning with all your childhood friends. If you are still with them, then your circle of influence has not gone beyond where you were born. I do not forget my childhood friends but those who pester my life due to our childhood affiliations, I keep my distance so that I can focus on what I do for a living. If you become as successful as Kelechi tomorrow, you will also be accused of neglect by your childhood friends. Stay focused and move on with your life. |
denko:God bless you. Anyone allergic to all forms of criticism has no business with leadership. |
If she didn't want to have sex with her husband that night, were there no peaceful ways to say no? I hope she was not forced to marry that man and she wanted to escape from that conjugal bondage. If she was bold enough to stab her husband to death, she should also be courageous enough to face the consequences of her actions. |
The law enforcement agents may give him a little dose of his own pill. He was inhuman to his wife. |

It is surprising that the government is still talking about school feeding during this Covid 19 pandemic. Schools are on lock down, pupils are with their wards and guardians in their various homes. Inter state movements are banned and crowding is banned by government. I hope the few palliatives they shared to some selected states of their choice is not counted as part of the school feeding program. I have neither received any palliative nor gotten any package on behalf of my children from the government as their school feeding package. I feel ashamed each time I see government officials standing in front of bundles of naira notes dispensing some pieces to people as palliatives without traceable records. Transparency in the disbursement of funds for this school feeding program is necessary to clear these contradictions. SERAP has become the conscience of this country since the NASS hardly questions some of these contradictions and are seen as an appendage of the executive. |
Well, if more intervention by FG will stem the tide of Covid 19 spread in Kano and now Jigawa, that will be a welcome development. The reactionary attitude of Kano state government did not help issues but if they will become proactive in preventing the movement of people hidden in trailers carrying foodstuffs and cattle to other parts of the country, that will be helpful in the fight. Aba, Nnewi and Onitsha markets have opened and I know that many are coming with trucks carrying foodstuffs to buy other items in these markets. Corona virus has high infectivity but low fatality rates. We can curtail the spread by restricting ourselves. Kano state government will play an important role in this regard. Ganduje should be more proactive in handling this pandemic. The politics of15 billion request may be counterproductive now. |
I hope we do not regret this decision to ease the lock down. The attitude of people out there does not suggest that this COVID 19 pandemic is still on the increase . Pictures from Onitsha, Lagos, Abuja and other major cities reflect people in festive mood. Please we need to be very careful. From the ongoing, a second lock down is inevitable but I hope it will not be too late. NCDC surely has a lot of work to do. |
Anybody who plays politics with this pandemic is not wise. Kano may be the hotbed of Nigerian politics but with Corona virus, it is a different ball game. Ganduje's approach was not only inefficient, but smacks of greed. Requesting 15 billion from FG while still living in denial was the height of primitivism. |
Nice move by the presidency. I expect the trailers to also head to other regions for fairness and equity. I hope such act of generosity will be extended to other parts of Nigeria |
This MURIC is becoming a major distraction to the fight against this pandemic in Nigeria. It rarely makes any contribution on the way forward from any national challenge. It has never hidden it's nepotistic and fanatical tendencies on matters of interest. They should be totally ignored at this point so as to achieve results in the fight against this pandemic.. |
Exclusive thread for car owners. Abeg make I park my Keke. |
Yenefer:Covid 19 neither respects religion or race. The earlier you crawl out out of your tribal and religious cocoon, the better for you. Keep living in denial, Covid 19 is beyond your political idiosyncracy |
She shouldn't have taken her life. It could be disheartening to see people die under your watch as a doctor but this is a novel pandemic. Nobody has experience in handling this virus. May God have mercy on her soul. |
Apart from God's grace and the determination to enforce this lock down in some states, the infection figures would have been more than what we have already. May God help us to overcome this pandemic. |
That is good news. We hope for more recoveries and no more deaths |
I wish you and all affected by this virus peedy recovery. |
The situation in Kano has gone beyond political party affiliation. Time to work together |
If Almajiri has gotten covid 19, then the country should brace up for an emergency up north. May God protect us. |
