PoliticsRe: ECOWAS Appoints Buhari As COVID-19 Response Coordinator by Maranzano(m): 5:06pm On Apr 23, 2020
ECOWAS is looking for funds from Nigeria to fight the pandemic but Nigeria has more in her hands now. The president has his own challenges here. Every country is fighting for survival now
ECOWAS should free Nigeria abeg
PoliticsRe: COVID-19: Northern Governors Insist On Banning Almajiri System by Maranzano(m): 12:46pm On Apr 22, 2020
Racoon:
Thought one foolish man from Kano said "Almajiri system is the pride of the north"? The previous govt integrate them into orthodox education but their leaders & elites are heavily benefitting from their perpetual enslavement. So Coronavirus can reset their mindset? Make una continue. angry
Don't mind those who live in denial. They know that Almajiris will be efficient distributors of the virus by their migratory lifestyle, clustering and poor hygiene. They are only worried for the threat this poses to them with this pandemic, not that they are sincerely against polygamy and uncontrolled breeding that produce these street urchins.
PoliticsRe: COVID-19: Northern Governors Insist On Banning Almajiri System by Maranzano(m): 12:37pm On Apr 22, 2020
They cannot ban Almajiri system if they continue to marry multiple wives and breed like rat. Those children that cannot be catered for will eventually pick plastic plates and start their journey for survival. Almajiri system is a product of failed parenthood. The elites up north have been jolted by the Covid 19 pandemic because the virus neither respects wealth nor social status.
PoliticsRe: Soldiers Repel Boko Haram Attacks On Geidam, Yobe by Maranzano(m): 3:20pm On Apr 20, 2020
While the Chadians are on the offensive, we are are always on the defensive. We shall overcome.
PoliticsRe: Oil Price Collapses To $11 Per Barrel Amid Covid-19 Pandemic by Maranzano(m): 3:17pm On Apr 20, 2020
I would like to rent Dangote's crude storage facility for his Lagos refinery to stock cheap crude but he is a wiser businessman. Sense no go kill me.
PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity Looms As FG, Oil Marketers Disagree On Pricing by Maranzano(m): 4:03pm On Apr 16, 2020
StreetFight:
If you troop to the streets, the Security Forces will use you for shooting practice
Lock down is necessary to check the spread of this virus but if the condition becomes unbearable for the people to stay indoors, your security forces will be tired of shooting. If you know the level of dependence on generators to preserve perishable food items in this lock down, you will not speak like this. Is it a thing of pride to you that your security forces have killed more than the Corona pandemic in Nigeria? If you cannot respect my existence, you should expect my resistance.
PoliticsRe: Fuel Scarcity Looms As FG, Oil Marketers Disagree On Pricing by Maranzano(m): 3:53pm On Apr 16, 2020
Fuel scarcity is all that is needed to drive everyone to the streets again. No light, excess heat and no fuel, that' will be the end of the lock down
CrimeRe: Lockdown: Sex Workers Lament As Clients Shun Their Services by Maranzano(m): 3:41pm On Apr 16, 2020
People are anxious of what will enter their stomach now. Any other desire is not a necessity. Ashawo should also maintain social distancing.
FoodRe: Recommend N3k Soup That Will Last For 1 Week For A Family Of 12 by Maranzano(m): 9:51pm On Apr 15, 2020
If you have such a large family with just 3k to feed them for one week, you will not be here on Nairaland. This is just to sample people's opinion on how they are coping with the lock down. If you truly have such a battalion as a family, give everyone 250 naira (250×12 =3000) to be on 10 naira biscuit three times a day for seven days. Soup of three thousand naira to serve 12 people for 7 days must be soup-like mixture which will not be good for their health. Never mind, we shall overcome Covid 19 and the associated hunger but do not touch your wife again to increase your soup quality.
PoliticsRe: Ganduje Imposes Total Lockdown In Kano After Recording A 4th Case Of Coronavirus by Maranzano(m): 9:21pm On Apr 14, 2020
I thought the northern governors resolved yesterday not to lock down their states
PoliticsRe: FG Can't Share Donated Funds To Nigerians - Lai Mohammed by Maranzano(m): 6:33pm On Apr 14, 2020
If the government is not able to add to those donated funds to build at least one standard hospital after this pandemic, then I will give up on this country. People are clamouring for sharing of the money because there is no welfare package from government to cater for the citizens now. The number of vulnerable Nigerians are much more than the government knows. Philanthropic Nigerians should look at their immediate sorroundings and beyond to assist the needy. There is real hunger in the land now.
PoliticsRe: Rape Threat: Bello El-Rufai To Sue Samuel Ogundipe by Maranzano(m): 11:25am On Apr 14, 2020
StreetFight:
You Southerners go over all Social Media platforms abusing Hausa/Fulanis and calling them all sort of unprintable names, when one mad Northern he-goat replies you, you start crying. I hope you know that you cannot do anything to El-Rufai's son, the guy is a hopeless idiot just like you all that have been calling Northerners names that you cannot call your forefathers.

*Where in his statements did he say he will rape somebody? Abi una no go school? Or you just thought of that in your empty skulls?*
I am sure you are not more educated than Hadiza El Rufai, Bello's mother who has apologised on behalf of her son for his irresponsible tweets.
Your defense of Bello is like crying more than the bereaved. Your skull is truly full of hate and malice.
I do not support these tribal attacks here because those who have meaningful ideas to share go beyond these premodial tribal sentiments. The young man should eschew life of arrogance, he will not be on his high horse forever.
PoliticsRe: Rape Threat: Bello El-Rufai To Sue Samuel Ogundipe by Maranzano(m): 11:08am On Apr 14, 2020
tatatar:
Like he said, the onus is on the journalist to prove that he threatened rape. Its time some journalist come to their senses with their sensational and misleading headlines.
As you continue your support for this spoilt brat, remember that words are like bullets, they cannot be retrieved after pulling the trigger. His empty threat on the journalist will haunt him and your likes sooner than later. Keep fanning the embers of hatred and tribalism, what goes around comes around.
PoliticsRe: Hadiza El-Rufai Cautions Son, Bello, For Threatening To Rape Someone’s Mother by Maranzano(m): 8:58am On Apr 14, 2020
West1side:
Nobody need to assume, many Igbos on social media stink of irredeemable hate, acute bigotry and excessive foolishness they inherited from their parent from birth so it is easy for everyone to know who hates a Fashola who till date is the best performing governor in Nigeria. Who hate Akpabio the transformation governor, who hate Tinubu that never held an elective post at federal level in Nigeria.

So you see, the most ridiculous thing however is that this same hate filled souls want the other tribes they hate to show failures like Ikpeazu Abaribe Peter Obi n Co love. You can understand how pathetic a tribe is.
Your hate for Ndiigbo has beclouded your sense of responsibility. The tweeter user who responded to Bello's tweets was not even Igbo but because your hateful brain is configured to respond to any criticism of the government as coming from Ndiigbo, you jumped at your jaundiced and reprehensible conclusion.

I usually do not respond to hateful posts like yours on Nairaland but people like you are the reasons unity and peace will elude this nation.
Constructive criticism is an essential ingredient of democracy. He who is afraid of criticism has no business in public office. If you hate the heat of the kitchen, do not apply for the job of a chef.
PoliticsRe: Hadiza El-Rufai Cautions Son, Bello, For Threatening To Rape Someone’s Mother by Maranzano(m): 8:40am On Apr 14, 2020
tatatar:
..but elrufai son's tweet said nothing about rape
While you are still struggling to comprehend his tweet, his mother who has understood the implications of her son's tweet has apologised.
Please I do not mean any insult but if someone says he will pass your mother to his friends for the night, are you going to applaud him for doing you a favour?
PoliticsRe: 11 Million "Poor And Vulnerable" List. Zamfara Leads, South-East Lowest by Maranzano(m): 12:15pm On Apr 11, 2020
Every state has equal status before the law; in wealth or in poverty. If you allocate more funds to Zamfara with the claim that it has more poor households, you are encouraging their laxity and punishing the states with low poverty rate. The same baseless policy like Educationally Disadvantaged States bandied by the north to skew higher school admissions to the advantage of the north is repeated here in national resource distribution. COVID 19 is a global pandemic and everybody in every state in the country must be considered in any welfare package planned by the country. The fact that the minister for Humanitarian Affairs, Hajia Farouk is from Zamfara must not tilt the the distribution of national resources to their advantage. Those figures were arbitrarily allocated to justify the spending. The parameters that classify poor households in Nigeria has not been gazetted or published for each state in Nigeria and the criteria not known. Let the minister treat every state as an entity entitled to a specific amount of money as a palliative from government. Let the state government, in conjunction with the local government and the traditional rulers distribute these palliative among their poor citizen whose identity the minister does not know. Since there is NO reliable statistics on poor households in Nigeria, release equal palliatives to every state simple. A man who choses to have many children without a means of livelihood should not overburden his neighbours who planned their family sizes in accordance with their income size. If that list was for tax collection or income generation, Zamfara will be the least despite the abundance of mineral resources there. As long as we exalt resource sharing over productivity, encourage laxity over industry in our national life, the development of the country will remain a mirage.
PoliticsRe: Truck Of Rice Found In Joseph Ununu's Residence In Ebonyi As Police Investigate by Maranzano(m): 4:26pm On Apr 10, 2020
There is random movement of food items from one section of every state to the other now. Why is the rice in this man's compound suspicious?
PoliticsRe: Junaid Mohammed: Buhari's Promise To Lead Boko Haram War Is Now Haunting Him by Maranzano(m): 9:08am On Apr 09, 2020
Promise is a debt. Lies and deceit can get you to power but you cannot sustain your reign with it.
CrimeRe: Lockdown: Police Seize Bike Of Man Who Went To Buy Fufu (Video) by Maranzano(m): 1:01pm On Apr 06, 2020
Every crisis time is an opportunity for extortion by these men in black. You cannot stay indoors when your family is starving. Wear your face mask, maintain social distancing and get your food items from the open grocery shops. Some law enforcement agents don't even know the law. Quite a pity.
PoliticsRe: State House Clinic ‘Unfit’ To Treat Abba Kyari, Despite Gulping 13bn In 5 Years by Maranzano(m): 8:58am On Apr 06, 2020
ddippset:
APC?

Why only APC? What about PDP?

See the problem?

Politics with everything.

Was Aso Rock Clinic built in 2015?

PDP were budgeting monies annually for the same clinic for 16 years.
If APC could not make any difference in the management of the state house clinic for 5 years that they have been in power, why did they deceive Nigerians in 2015 by shouting Change to the rooftop? People should condemn evil for what it is and not play politics with human lives. God gave us immunity over this Corona virus if not, both the leaders and their zombie followers would have known that disease does not know your political affiliation. Be wise!
HealthRe: Anambra Government Shares 3 Million Face Masks To Residents by Maranzano(m): 7:49pm On Apr 02, 2020
If this is APC or Oshiomole matter, Imo state governor will be in the forefront. I hope he is seeing what Sanwo Olu and Obiano are doing in their respective states. It is not just enough to announce the closure of state borders, he should be seen to be proactive in ensuring that the state is not overwhelmed by the pandemic. It is understandable that he just resumed office but I believe he was prepared for the challenge of governance.
HealthRe: Anambra Government Shares 3 Million Face Masks To Residents by Maranzano(m): 7:41pm On Apr 02, 2020
This is impressive.
At least there is an effort by the state leadership to creat awareness and show what they have done so far. Some others are still sharing morning fresh in the markets without a single testing center, isolation centre or plan to raise funds internally to handle any emergency. God is our only hope of survival in this trying time.
HealthRe: Lagos Lockdown; Berger Axis In Pictures by Maranzano(m): 9:20pm On Mar 31, 2020
It would have been impossible to believe that men and women could be driven indoors in Lagos by anything. Corona virus is really strong.
PoliticsRe: Tariff Hike: Electricity Meter Scarcity Persists Two Days To Policy Take-Off by Maranzano(m): 10:46am On Mar 30, 2020
There is a conspiracy to retain the estimated billing method to exploit consumers. Prepaid meters will sieve out corrupt practices in power revenue collection and outrageous bills given to consumers.
PoliticsRe: Coronavirus: Tinubu Tells FG To Suspend VAT by Maranzano(m): 6:34pm On Mar 28, 2020
The government should think of other palliative measures in addition to the removal of vat to help the citizenry. This Corona pandemic will reveal the level of inefficiency of our government.
HealthRe: Level Of Compliance On Social Distancing In Delta Amid COVID-19 Pandemic by Maranzano(m): 4:59pm On Mar 26, 2020
It is difficult to have 100% compliance. Cashless transactions are not possible in rural communities and in some of our cities. You need cash to make your purchase in Nigeria. If you want to make bulk purchase, there is no light to preserve the perishables. Let us pray that God will protect us from this virus, the precautionary measures in a total lock down setting is not possible in Nigeria
HealthRe: Coronavirus: Why Is NCDC Not Showing The Number Of People Tested? by Maranzano(m): 3:05pm On Mar 26, 2020
Do we have enough test kits? Only privileged few who report, get tested.
HealthRe: How Prepared Are You For Total Lockdown In Lagos, Other Parts Of Nigeria? by Maranzano(m): 2:51pm On Mar 26, 2020
It is advisable to get essentials ready in the house but total lock down is not possible in Nigeria. The level of poverty is so high and many people live from hand to mouth. You can't confine them for long, hunger will drive them back to the streets
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Odion Ighalo Offered £400k-a-week Deal By Shanghai Shenhua by Maranzano(m): 2:43pm On Mar 26, 2020
Igalo's football career has taken a turn for the skies when many thought he has passed his prime. Apart from being industrious, I think he enjoys God's favour.
HealthRe: Dangote, Access Bank To Provide 1000-Bed Facility To Combact Coronavirus by Maranzano(m): 2:36pm On Mar 26, 2020
Good move by Aliko and Access Bank. The government should be thinking of a welfare package for the citizens to assuage the effects of Covid 19 pandemic.
Foreign AffairsRe: Germany Bans Gathering Of More Than 2 People by Maranzano(m): 11:22pm On Mar 22, 2020
Hmmmm, when 3 people still occupy the back seat of Keke in Naija. God will shield us from the onslaught of this plague. Nigerians are very vulnerable to infections because of our lifestyles and cultural practices
PoliticsRe: Oshiomhole Chairs APC NWC Meeting, Says Party Not Divided by Maranzano(m): 7:00pm On Mar 17, 2020
He is not expected to confirm any division in his party but events in the coming weeks and months will prove if he is right or wrong.
