It is better not to allow this virus to have a foothold here. We cannot handle any serious emergency in Nigeria. |
Every Kingdom is guided by its culture. Let the Bini culture be for the Benis and not be used as a yardstick to measure other cultures. |
He should not waste his tenure with inter party bickering, afterall he may still find his way back to the same PDP tomorrow where he was once a member of board of trustees. When our politicians castigate the major opposition parties (PDP or APC), it amuses me. |
Uzodinma seems to have more interest in Oshiomole's chairmanship than his mandate as Imo state governor. He should adjust his mind to politics without Oshiomole, the man has served his purpose for the party. |
"Sanusi’s emirship was molded in the crucible of partisan politics and was dissolved in it." Prof. Kperogi is truly a wordsmith! That quoted statement summarised the ascension and dethronement of Sanusi. Power is not a charitable donation conferred on anyone on the altar of obeisance. Those who hold it without the people's concent are living in borrowed time. His dethronement evoked a lot of sentiments among Nigerians but his enthronement evoked similar sentiments among Kano Kingmakers in 2014 |
Let everyone carry his cross abeg. If the chairman has outlived his relevance to his Godfather, then the game is up for him. Next topic please.. |
Simplyleo:Must you exhibit your tribal bigotry in every thread? Hatred is a silent killer like hypertension. |
I hope the government spokespersons who live in denial are reading this news. It's unfortunate that young men and women burning with enthusiasm to serve their fatherland should be kidnapped by these bandits. It is time to review the NYSC program. Nobody should be sent to these insurgency zones anymore. Govt that keeps negotiating with bandits only displays weakness in the face of adversity. |
I hope this man and his principal knows that 2023 is not eternity and Gaduje's stewardship will be brought under scrutiny one day. Sanusi may be down but not out. They should spare us these dictatorial antics. |
Humblega:Holding public office and being intolerant to criticism is like aspiring to be a chef and complaining about the heat of the kitchen. |
What goes around comes around. |
Jonathan condoned much more from El-Rufai and other APC stalwarts before the 2015 elections. If you do not like criticisms, do not go for any public office. |
Sanusi may have stepped on some vindictive toes in Kano state govt house but he cannot be silenced politically. |
The sponsors may be too close for her to see. If you catch and release terrorists, where else do you look for the sponsors? |
In civilized democracies, Oshiomole would have resigned instead of being forced to rescind his earlier decisions on suspended members. Sorry, I forgot that Nigerian politicians do not resign. |
muykem:The only thing parmanent in politics is interest. If those who made him chairman feel he has outlived his relevance, he will easily be sacrificed for another to play out the new script for 2023. |
tyup:Someone just passed on as a result of snake bite and all your feeble mind can conceive is insults and no single sympathy. If you had not spoken, you would have been classified as wise. |
tsandy:Truth is bitter but I do not blame you. Your party has promoted lies that you think it can displace the truth. You can actually express yourself without being rude. APC's exit from power is unavoidable considering the deep rooted animosity among its members and Oshiomole's leadership. Weep not child, the rainy days for your ruling party is here. Brace up for your political winter. |
This is one of the early signs of party disintegration. I hope the ruling party will face 2023 as a united party. It seems their romance with power will end with PMB's exit. Only time will tell. We are watching in 4D |
When a Nigerian politician is embattled and his office threatened, he makes the gullible electorate believe that God will see him through his travails. The electorate lose their means of livelihood daily, some have also been killed by the now repentant Boko haram but they are just mere statistics. In the other news, The NASS was about to adjourn for 2weeks for fear of Corona virus even when the virus has not touched any of them. T he fear is that no country will welcom any Corona career no matter your account balance. At least they will be attended by Naija doctors who they have been avoiding here. Let every politician carry his cross and leave God out of their theatrics. |
Poor welfare demoralises soldiers. This war against insurgency is lingering because it has become a business enterprise for some people whose duties it is to cater for the soldiers at the battle fronts. |
Soldier go soldier come, barrack remain the same. Whether it is Dakuku or Jamoh, what impact will their tenure have on Nigerians? |
Hmmm |
I hope northern leaders will rise to the occasion. Population explosion in the north is the major cause of poverty |
Is that possible under this saintly regime? I thought budget padding was heard last during GEJ. |
Everybody should be on protective hand gloves and face masks in Nigeria if this virus can spread through bank notes. Our society is far from being cashless. Everybody handles money in Nigeria. May God save us from Corona virus. |
Restructuring will be a soft landing for Nigeria because the country's fault lines are widening by day. The diversity of this nation was not managed well by the government in power. Insurgency and banditry is also on the increase. If people's confidence level in government is waning, then be sure that their resolve for self determination is on the increase. |
I am not in support of making money at the expense of human life but every problem always creates financial opportunities for those who have the solution. The government should focus on their level of preparedness in providing basic amenities in the health sector to handle emergencies like this. It will be difficult to regulate the prices of these items if this gets to crisis level. I think the time has come for us to distinguish propaganda from reality. |
I hope the government spokes persons will not call him IPOB. The worst thing to happen to the leadership of any nation is to live in denial. |
They have the police and other security officials guarding them yet the common man feels safer.. The DSS can give them the encyclopedia of Anti kidnapping, it does not change anything. |
The supreme court has a lot of reviews to make under CJN Tanko. More to come. |
Something is fundamentally wrong with some SARS officers and their approach to crime fighting. I think they have outlived their relevance. Dressing like common thugs while molesting youths that dressed in a similar manner. Regional policing is the way to go now. SARS has become synonymous with extortion, extra judicial killings and intimidation of the populace. |
