APC promised everything to grab power. I pity those who still expect them to fulfill any promise made during the campaign. You can deceive a woman to marry her but you cannot deceive her to feed her. Propaganda can win election but competence and proper planning delivers the dividends of democracy. |
The world must be bewildered at this weird move to legitimise terrorism in Nigeria. The time to rejig this union is now to stop further embarrassment of Nigerians. |
The Nigerian fire service should please intervene. The rate fire is raging this year, God please rescue us from any challenge beyond our capacity. |
This is a welcome development. The banks have become glorified retail shops that continuously deduct from customers on every transactions while paying peanuts as interests on savings and fixed deposits. |
Creation of an Agency for rehabilitation of "*repentant*" boko haram members is not only an insult to the families who lost their loved ones to these blood suckers but a confirmation that boko haram will soon be a full fledged ministry in Nigeria. The North should not compare this madness of boko haram to the struggle for resource control by Niger Delta militants. Northeast Development Commission was created to clear the mess caused by this same boko haram. Now Gaidam is asking for an Agency of government to cater for converted terrorists. Gaidam should think of how to educate the teaming youths in his constituency to save them from the impending radicalisation by boko haram. Creating this Agency is a way to legitimise terrorism in this country. |
How did the rice cross the borders patrolled by the same customs? Presence of bags of foreign rice in our supermarkets is an indictment on those whose duty it is to monitor the movement of goods into the country. |

If the security situation in the country improves from today, I will believe you but if the killings continue, then somebody has abdicated his responsibility. Propaganda can put you in position of authority but competence brings results. |
This is what happens when leaders abdicate their responsibilities and take delight in blame games. |
Nigerians want to see the end of bloodshed by the bandits, boko haram and the murderous herdsmen. Govt have been making promises for the past five years. Hope deferred makes the heart sick. Enough of this "We will", "we shall". People are actually running out of patience. Today's survivors will become tomorrow's victims. The time to act is now. |
This arbitrary increase in tarrifs,VAT and other utilities will continue to impoverish the people. I hope NERC is also directing them to increase their power distribution ability. It will be sad to increase the tarrifs for darkness. |
Be careful what you wish others in life, it has a way of coming back. APC in opposition said unprintable things against PDP and their ways of handling insurgency some years back. Today, the presidency is accusing the opposition of embarrassing the presidency by politicizing insurgency. The security situation is deteriorating daily and people are being massacred by Boko haram, herdsmen and bandits. The govt should face reality for what it is and stop this blame game. It is unfortunate that what matters to our politicians is their offices and not the lives of those on whose trust they hold the mandates. Oh my country!! |
This is what happens when people in leadership positions make unguarded utterances. |
There is no need for all these unnecessary intrusion into the privacy of the late monarch. The people are not prepared for another bloodshed in Afaraukwu. The burial of Kanu's parents does not constitute any security threat to Nigeria. It is not a good omen that a King and His Queen are being buried the same day. No man is happy to bury his parents the same time. The show of force is unnecessary during this burial. This King and His Queen must not be humiliated in death. If Kanu has issues with the government, his parents burial should not be used to settle scores. The dead deserve honour and a King and his Queen deserve royal treatment even in death. |
Good to hear that everything is going smoothly in Kanu's country home The people are not prepared for another bloodshed in Afaraukwu. The armed herdsmen have shed more blood than any known terrorist group, but they are still being pampered by the FG. IPOB has nothing in common with any known terrorist group but the FG hurriedly outlawed them and tagged them a terrorist group. What constitutes terrorism in Nigeria depends on your religion or tribe. |
It is not very easy to convert a terrorist to repentance. These 1400 fanatics who the government just released will still end up in Sambisa with more intelligence gathered against the military. This is not the best of times to fight especially a war that has no defined battle line or enemy description. |
If this murderer will be freed in the name of Amnesty and Rehabilitation, then nobody should be worried about the endless war against insurgency in the north. |
Appreciate yourself and show love to your family if you are still single. Show more commitment to your relationship and work harder towards tying the nuptial knots if you are engaged. Give your spouse a treat while thanking God for your union if you are married. In all cases do not engage in any act that will endanger your life and affect your relationship with God. |
Really sad the other children could not rescue him before it became too late. Depression is real in our society today. We can save a life by few words of encouragement and and assistance. Many are on the brink of ending their lives. |
Life is losing its value in Nigeria daily. Patriotism is a word only used in Nigeria among those whose kinsmen are in power. There are offices to die for, but the country does not worth anybody's life. |
It is sad that our northern neighbours are unduly interfering with Nigerian electoral process. It has been the case in previous elections but the attendance of these two governors from Niger Republic to the APC rally in Kano is an insult on our sensibility as patriotic Nigerians. It is becoming more obvious that our country does not have borders in the north hence the elections in these border states of Sokoto, Zamfara, Kebbi, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa,Yobe and Borno should be keenly monitored. If governors from Niger Republic can be part of the rally in Kano, nothing stops their nationals who wield more powers in northern Nigeria than most Nigerians from the southern part to be part of the voting population. |
Igbokiller:When a man's soul is filled with hatred, he wallows in folly thinking he is wise. I believe the best should be appointed to serve Nigeria but I disagree that they can only be found among a particular region. The region you referred to as "Mudly developed" is the aperture through which the world sees your country.Use you head to think, not just for 'Hula' |
If his appointment will restore the confidence of many Nigerian in the service, I do not mind because Nigeria can only be secured now by our northern personnel in the forces until someone who appreciates Nigeria's ethnic diversity and its stabilizing effects ascends the throne. Nigeria we hail thee. |
As Nigerians await the dividends of the first trip to China, the country hopes for a fair bargain in this second missionary journey. Poor infrastructure in Nigeria has always skewed trade relations in favour of China. Unfortunately we are relying on the same China to provide infrastructure through loans as part of our trade relations. What then is the primary responsibility of government in terms of provision of conducive environment for Direct Foreign Investment?. Bon Voyage Mr. Presido. |

TundeHashim:Thank you very much for the explanation. |
Hugoboi:Thank you very much |
Please can a lawyer in this forum tell us the difference between the Solicitor General and the Attorney General of the Federation. |
Goodnews, I wish him a successful outing in the EPL |
Very educative Thanks for sharing. However. the implementation of these safety measures will be difficult in our overloaded taxis and Danfo buses that have no seat belts at all. May God protect us from accidents as we play our parts to prevent them |
