This is brazen disregard of Federal Character by the Customs boss. For those with nepotistic tendencies and phobia for the SE, no apologies. Until you stand up to demand for your right, it will never be served on a platter of gold. |
Well you have acknowledged that he is cut and handsome but you did not indicate his marital status. If you have a feeling for a married man, Hmmmm adultery is loading.....If he is single and genuinely loves you, then let him do the needful and see your parents. Be careful on first dates with bosses. It has ruined many but God will give you wisdom to overcome your emotional challenges. |
This is not a good move. Let those already admitted complete their studies. It does not matter if their scholarship was approved by Amaechi or anyone. The governor can discontinue any project he feels that is not beneficial to the people of the state but abrupt termination or relocation of those students will surely affect them and the state at large. Everything must not be used to play politics. |
The flagrant disregard of consumer rights by some service providers in Nigeria is worrisome. DSTV is n0t0rious for their incessant increases and disregard of subscribers rights. The move is a step in the right direction but the government's regulatory agencies have a lot of work to do to ensure that the laws of the land are obeyed and consumers are not shortchanged. It took NCC years to wake up to perform their role in regulating the telecom industry in Nigeria. MTN did not believe that they could be fined for going contrary to the law. DSTV should be made to realize that their partial monopoly of digital television service is not a license to exploit the subscribers at will. |
Good to hear that the Naira is appreciating again. The government should resolve every controversy surrounding the 2016 budget so that the passage and implementation will start asap. Each day the naira depreciates, billions are lost in businesses and jobs are lost as well. It is too early to celebrate, a lot of work needs to be done on the economy. Many attributed the free fall of the naira to the low oil prices but the Angolan currency and that of other oil producing countries in Africa have been stable. It will be very dangerous to play politics with the national economy. The time to act is now. Election has been won and lost. Let the winner face the business of governance and the loser to provide credible opposition rich in efficient alternatives to the ruling party. Hunger knows no tribe or political party. Many Nigerians are hungry and need good governance that ensures food security and job opportunities. |
Night Club Mode Activated |
The interest generated at the election tribunals of the oil producing states makes me wonder if other states in Nigeria also had issues during the election. Underage voting was so common in some parts but not much is heard from the tribunal sitting there. Some states seem to be more lucrative to control than others. Nigerian "Unity" is indeed hinged on Petrodollars. |
I feel for those parents whose daughters have been in captivity for over a year now. Donation of cash and relief materials is not a solution to their problem. FIND THE GIRLS NOW AND ALIVE and reunite them with their families. That was the COMMAND Oby gave to Jonathan and the military before the election of Mr President in May. It was a viable campaign slogan in the build up to the elections but the heat has died down ever since. I salute the courage of the soldiers who have been at the forefront of this rescue mission for the Girls. The politicians who used the Chibok girls to enhance their electoral victory should face the challenge of fulfilling their Campaign promise. I am praying for God's miracle for our daughters to be rescued not hoping on any bogus promise made on their behalf to hoodwink the gullible electorate. #RESCUENOTRELIEFMATERIALS. |
I have heard enough, let the trial begin if there are credible evidence to prosecute. I am sick of these alarms of missing billions. These media trial is not helping Nigerians and the ruling party. Propaganda is useful during campaign, action is what is needed now. |
Those who speak the language of Mr president should tell him that Nigeria is unique in so many ways.Even though it is too early to pass a verdict on his appointment pattern, the trend so far tends to raise some questions. 1. It was believed that the delay in appointment was to search for credible Nigerians who CAN WORK with Mr President. 2. The appointment of technocrats so far discovered does not reflect Federal character. 3. Nigeria is too complex a nation to overlook some of the factors that determine our national unity. 4. There is still time for APC to correct this impression among Nigerians that some regions are too corrupt that men and women of integrity are in short supply. 5 Everybody will not be in the president's cabinet but men and women of integrity abound here and in the diaspora to serve their country and give his government a national outlook. |
Enough of this Nwike and Amaechi saga on this forum. Any Op that does not have a different news to share should just keep mute and read on. |
Your post on feasibility of Lead marketing is quit educative. Please can i get an updated version of the write up? I know the prices of mineral commodities vary with time. I will reach you through your contact. Thanks for educating me on this forum |
A senator that has not even settled down for the business of lawmaking is already eying the governorship seat. Maybe he has discovered that the seat is more juicy and rewarding than the one he occupies now. He is ready to forget all the promises he made to his constituents during his senatorial campaign and fabricate another set of promises to suit his gubernatorial ambitions. These guys are political businessmen who deceive the electorate as leaders. If it is possible for him to be a part time lawmaker and a full time governor, i know he will choose that. May God save our politicians from greed and deceit |
The president should appoint his ministers and saddle his Defense and Foreign Affairs Ministers with some of these responsibilities. Governance is a team work, if he wants to attend to everything himself, the country will move at a snail pace. #CHANGE FOR BETTER. |
Nigerians want CHANGE as soon as possible. These intrigues and delay by APC in the announcement of the Cabinet is not a good sign of the EXPECTED CHANGE.The ripples generated by the election of NASS officials is yet to settle. I thought change was a deviation from the STATUS QUO. I may have been fooled but time may prove otherwise |
We are waiting and hoping that GOODLUCK will emerge from our PATIENCE. I know we are already in the realm of CHANGE but those words in capital will still be relevant as the wind of change blows over our land. Like if you share this view. |
The fuel scarcity witnessed last week was what characterized most of Obasanjo's eight years in office but Nigerians cannot remember those years anymore. Those who think Jonathan was the worst president in Nigeria either have short memories or too biased to be realistic. The elections have been won and lost. The loser acknowledged defeat and the winner is ready to be sworn in on Friday. Nigerians know where to place their past leaders and i think history will be fair to Jonathan. The epistle on why Jona lost power is no longer relevant as the man is on his way home already. Direct your advice to the winner so that CHANGE will be rooted in our land. |
Jonathan can send a condolence message to Obasanjo if he is bereaved. Their disagreement is not printed for you and i to read on the pages of newspapers. It is all about interest. Their 'reconciliation' should not bother me or anyone who is determined to look beyond the antics of the politicians in Nigeria. Impoverished people maim themselves defending the interest of their "favoured politicians " while the supposed "enemies" sip their Moet together somewhere. |
saasala:I HATE TO SAY THIS BUT I THINK YOUR IDIOCY IS CONTAGIOUS. LEARN TO BE CIVIL EVEN IN CRITICISM. |
Lazy bigots looking for easy money. They will surely meet their waterloo. There are other legitimate ways to ask for assistance from the president who will soon join them as one of their own than to embarrass him before he arrives. Really pathetic. |
He is now singing like a Canary because he has been nabbed. He is complaining of getting ONLY #50,000 as if he did a legitimate job but was short paid. Lives were lost in your callous desire to get rich quick. The shortage in your PAYMENT will be completed in KUJE or KIRIKRI. Agents of despair and grief!! |
There are better ways to seek fame than this senseless wandering. Why don't they swim across the River Niger for Buhari and Jonathan |
The opportunity to lead Nigeria is a privilege many will not have in their lifetime. It comes with responsibility and i think Jonathan has given his best. His best may not be good enough but in my opinion, he deserves some respect. The peace we enjoy today is partly because he resisted the Sit Tight Syndrome (Tenure Elongation) vigorously sought by Obasanjo while in office. Burundians are leaving in droves even before the election date because of the inordinate ambition of President Nkurunziza to elongate his tenure. Love him or hate him, history will remember him as on of few African leaders who put national interest/unity above personal interest especially at the twilight of their tenure. Those who are singing victory songs for Obasanjo today should know that in politics, there is no permanent friend or foe, the only permanent factor is interest. Obasanjo;s refusal to attend previous State Council meetings showed him as an ex leader on personal vendetta mission against the incumbent. If he genuinely loves Nigeria as he claims, he should be there with other ex heads of state. Vendetta is not one of the attributes of good leaders. |
That vehicle is in motion on the speed lane. The man pictured is on his own and not the Ambulance driver. I can't see any triangular sign behind to show that it was parked. People should stop posting falsehood here to attract attention. Yes, there is fuel scarcity in some cities but hey, there is no scarcity of knowledge and wisdom here. |
It is unacceptable for any state governor to use the Fed Govt as an alibi to owe their workers. Their PAs and SAs are never denied of any allowance no matter what happens. Many Govs cannot even generate enough funds to maintain few cars but they have so many in their fleet because of the largesse that comes from Abuja every month. It is sinful in the sight of God to owe any worker of his wage. Governance is about WEALTH GENERATION AND DISTRIBUTION and not just about Sharing. They should look inwards and stop complaining. How many states still invest in Housing Estates for its workers? How many can boast of functional enterprises that generate funds? If the price of crude does not improve, some states may have to look for alternatives or merge with viable ones. Many have resorted to borrowing form different sources but that will soon backfire because if those debts are not serviced, the future for such states look bleak. |
It is likely this Oba may sacrifice his throne on the altar of politics. He is gradually dividing his kingdom by his disregard for the interest of his other subjects. Both Ambode and Jimmy are his subjects and he should be a father to them. He is entitled to his political opinion but when a traditional ruler openly declares for a political party and its candidates, he has automatically created an opposition in his kingdom. |
It is unfortunate that fraternal love among African countries is dwindling. I must commend the Nigeriens for their assistance in the first place. I know they have their own challenges ranging from insurgency to famine but i think it is unfair to send the refugees out like that without any logistic arrangement to bring them back .Alerting NEMA when some are already dead from exhaustion is not fair The Xenophobes in South Africa forgot their past experience in the hands of their oppressors to hound foreigners in their land . Mama Africa, what has become of thy children? |
I think the incoming government is realizing that the lovely sound of the bitter kola when broken is not the same as the taste. Propaganda is a very potent weapon used during electioneering campaigns but those who stick to it to manage their victory will soon make explanations to the electorate. This s the time to face the reality of governance, Nigerians are waiting for results now not excuses.I expect a robust and purpose-driven opposition from PDP to keep APC on their toes concerning campaign promises made to Nigerians. |
Those bean pods hanging on that branch can make any man or woman to strip to the last when it rubs off on the body. It is difficult to endure the irritation. It is a local weapon for biological warfare in the past. A ferocious warrior can be calmly disarmed by those Devil's Beans hanging HARMLESSLY in the bush. If your job takes you the bush, please watch out for those climbers, they easily detach when ripped. If you are unlucky to be close to it on a sunny day when it discharges its seeds by explosive mechanism, you will perform some unconventional dancing steps for onlookers to admire before you find the antidote. |
People should stop deceiving themselves trying to rewrite the constitution of another country. The Government of Indonesia has it as their law that the penalty for drug trafficking is death and they have been implementing it. When my brother was traveling to Indonesia for his business, that was the first thing he was told by the embassy officials. It is clearly written in their dossier for visa. Countries like Australia, Brazil and France also tried to negotiate for their nationals but Indonesia was not moved. I think the demonstration should rather focus on creating awareness among intending travelers on the drug laws of some Asian and Middle East countries that still execute drug offenders instead of blaming the government for non intervention .Let it be known, these guys d no fear any face when it comes to drug offenses especially in Indonesia. |
Ilekeh: If that is all your you can suggest to the president -elect, then your brain needs thorough formatting. I am sure he will be far from people who reason like you if he hopes to succeed in office. The economy of the country is still sustained by crude oil and gas produce by the regions you want him to ignore. No wonder your name was conspicuously missing as an adviser.

To woo is cheap but upkeep is not. Learn to work before attempting to run. If your major preoccupation at 17 is how to meet the needs of your girlfriend, it is likely you have misplaced priorities. The police will have some good lessons for you and your girlfriend will surely deny you now that you have " fallen her hand" |
