zebudaya: well I didn't really say it was equivalent i said "so AMD says". Then again not many people need 3.2 ghz it's like buying a Rollsroyce when an S-class would do just fine.
Back when I bought my laptop 2004, it was the fastest laptop on the block It's highly likely the AMD 3200+ will have the same performance speed as the Intel P4 3.2 ghz. I cannot say for certain as I havn't tested these processors myself. |

May the EFCC continue to ruin the lives of the criminals in Nigeria. |

babadee: the simple fact is that Okotie does not have what it takes to be the president of a nation as politically complex as Nigeria, noble God inspired intentions and all. he doesn't understand the military, doesn't understand the powerplays so its going to be a diseaster if he becomes the president besides, i don't really think hes hearing Gods voice. more like his inner mind/ego i'll say. Thank you. I mean comon of all the reasons he could think of he came out with "God told him so"? *Laughing my ass off* |

Big B1: That is the whole idea behind this desperation. OBJ is very paranoid, he knows he will be exposed and he's supporting cast will be exposed as well. He has stepped on many toes. and he knows it too.
Trust me, many many toes. Remember the old folks popular say" you do not bite the hand that feeds you" Who do you think you're fooling. What do Atiku and IBB have to offer. Even if OBJ is as corrupt as your imagination leads you to believe, what has that got to do with IBB and Atiku being taken out of the presidency equation. You are just mad because your idols are being descimated. Keep nashing your teeth. It's happening before your eyes. Soon you will start seeing pictures of Atiku in handcuffs. IBB will hopefully follow. Big B1: MARIORY: I'm too busy to deal with you today, but I will be back; and don't forget, I still love you and your FAT greasy black FACE (typical Yoruba woman). toshmann: i don't hate the developed world, i hate injustice. i live in the developed world and i feel the injustice being done and it hurts more. i'm here for education and global exposure. they are ripping me off (tuition) so it's part of the injustice. and if i get the degree from home, they wont value my degree b/c it's from a naijan university. so i have to get it from their school and they rip me before i can get the degree. talk of fairness, how can a student from a poor country pay 3-5 times the fees that students from rich countries pay? and they must pay fully. those from rich countries get loans.
ok, before u ask why my country is poor etc i'll bring you back to the trade deals that sealed our poverty. who made the trade deals? ahaaaa. i hope you are begining to see things from my angle. u see, where there is poverty, there is discontent. with extreme poverty, life is next to worthless. signs of poverty in a society-corruption, crime, violence, prostitution etc how does your developed countries help poor countries out of this- they sell weapons to both sides of a war, the war creates refugees, they bring aid(which is actually tied to business and gain). for corruption they openly accept monies from corrupt african leaders into their banks. povety has reduced most african young girls to prostitutes and if you come to europe and see what girls do for "papers" u'll understand what i mean when i say the west has encouraged prostitution. how our girls are "uselessed" by these white people. i feel ashamed. yet these are our brightest girls. where does all this lead-wrecked tangible relationships, unwanted babies( why do you think there are many mixed race people in europe, mostly without their dad. where are the fathers?) divorce here and there.single mothers everywhere- a monumentally vicious cycle with unimaginable consequences on our social values.
due to poverty we have been reduced as a race to 2nd class. our culture is regarded as inferior and our color a disadvantage. do you think all this would have been possible if our country was not poor? poverty is terrible. do you want me to tell you about poverty? that needs a new thread.or forum. and this poverty is enshrined in WTO. trade is the answer. not aid. how many rich countries do u see fighting civil wars? huh? like malcom X said, i reiterate, history has authorised me to call the white man evil. It appears you blame the white race for everything. There are countries in South America and S.E Asia, in the Middle East to Northern Africa, and of course the best example of all. South Africa and Ghana. These countries are/were subject to the same unfair trade rules that Nigeria was/is subject to. These countries at some point along our history as an independent nation surpassed Nigeria. What did these countries do that we didn't? What do we do that they don't? The real problem we have in Nigeria are Nigerians. The solution isin't faire trade. Fair trade deals are part of the solution. The real issue we must address in Nigeria is that of corruption and tribalism. |

Computers › Re: AMD vs Intel: Which Is Better? by Mariory(m): 9:30am On Sep 27, 2006 |
No doubt the newer AMD processors are quite better in terms of performance to intel processors. They(AMD) do more work per clock cycle than INtel processors and so they offer faster performance at lower speeds. The AMD FX series are awesome for gameplay. If you're looking for office type of performance then go for dual core AMDs. In regards to mobo's, be sure to get one with the 939 pin.
If you're buying a new ready built AMD powered system these days they will usually come with a 939 pin mobo anyways. But check to make sure. |

You hate the developed world? Yet you live in one of those countries. Interesting. I agree though, improved trade deals are far better than aid. |

http://allafrica.com/stories/200609210413.htmlWe Nigerians are living in very interesting times. But very few of us realise this.
In these very interesting times we are living in, it appears that the easiest route to take for any smart folk who wants to be hailed as a democratic or any other kind of hero is to conjure certain phantom wrong against the incumbent government and say very authoritatively that the government has visited, or is about to visit, such wrong on the good people of Nigeria.

Ugwumba: @ Mariory, i will not even attempt to belittle myself by exchanging personal insults with you. That, as I have discovered, is the last resort of people who cannot stick to an intelligent discourse. Trying to be a smartass is not your strong point, vis-a-vis the following, Ugwumba: You can continue to deceive yourself, but the facts are there for any critical mind to analyze. Mariory's response Mariory: You can continue to talk out of your ass. You want to come accross as a factual thinker but, you come accros as pathetic. What part of what you just said are facts? Those conclusions of yours are not based on facts but theories on you've formed in your head. Don't start a process you do not like. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ugwumba: 1. You clearly pick and choose what to read and if it does not favour your kinsman OBJ , is fiction and when it does is fact.
2. Rather tiring arguing with you on this.
3. But, on the same basis that Atiku is accused of being corrupt (and i clearly believe he is), OBJ is equally CORRUPT.
4. Scream till you go hoarse, as tribalists are wont to do, this will remain my central thesis for this discuss.
5.PS - Along these same lines, your people made MKO Abiola a Nigerian hero - laughable considering his rather corrupt past (although knowing where you come from, this is to be regarded as fiction). 1. That is your opinion and are entitled to it. 2. Yes it's tiring arguing without facts. You tend to end up wandering in the dark. 3. I also believe there are shady things going on in the presidency (both OBJ's and Atiku's camp). To believe is one thing. To prove another. The real world requires proof. The EFCC has provided the proof to back up their allegations on Atiku. Is his alleged crime impechable? The NA will decide. However, it's looking increasenly likely that that ship of his is sinking and he is acting like a slowpoke. 4. Scream as tribalists do? I'll pretend I understand that. You are entiitled to keep that as your central thesis. 5. Again you've gone far of course here. I'm sure you understood what you were trying to say there. I'll pretend I did. |
Politics › Re: Atiku Is A Disgrace To Nigerians by Mariory(m): 11:53pm On Sep 19, 2006 |
Ugwumba: You probably think that quoting OBJs side of the 'refund' story suffices for the truth. If you followed the course of events, it would be clear that you are the one bending this to suit your motives.
1. OBJ did not just wake up and decide 'oh, this is questionable money and needs to be refunded'.
2. After Dariye made the claims, the Presidency issued a prompt and unequivocal denial.
3. The monies were refunded without retracting the initial denial.
4. We would have been none the wiser that the money had been refunded until this war of accusations started.
5. Where did OBJ think a sitting governor got 100 million naira from? Abetting corrupt practices is in itself corruption.
6. What private sector was OBJ investing in? OBJ muted the idea of Transcorp, invested in a private placement of funds, accepted the listing of a firm with no history on the NSE, and with the connivance of officials in his government, proceeded to acquire government's interests in certain assets. THIS IS NOT MERELY IMPROPER CONDUCT BUT CORRUPTION!!!!! 1. Irrelevant. Not worth disscusing as that is an opinion not based on facts. 2. Peharps. I'm not aware of that and I havn't seen that brought up in any of the news reports. In addition as is in the world of politics, that would depend on the actual accusation/statement that was denied. 3. See two above 4.It is not your concern that a political party refunds money it does not want to accept. A political party is certainly not required to annouce such. 5. Peharps from his previous jobs as a bussiness man. http://www.plateaustategov.org/gov_bus/gov_bio.html6. I'm not sure what you're talking about here. Are you saying that becos OBJ brought up the idea of Trancorp, it is not a private bussiness? You have a critical mind indeed (whatever the hell that's suppossed to mean) Ugwumba: You can continue to deceive yourself, but the facts are there for any critical mind to analyze. You can continue to talk out of your ass. You want to come accross as a factual thinker but, you come accros as pathetic. What part of what you just said are facts? Those conclusions of yours are not based on facts but theories on you've formed in your head. If the NA indeed interpret that OBJ had broken the Constitution regarding Transcorp then that's the end of that matter. |
