how do you tell pple to go back to the core and solve the problem? through public enlightment or preaching?
but wen there is strict law that will be enforced, not necessarily imprisonment.
We need to add to our educational curriculum subjects fully focus on dome Domestic violence and rape.

Create NGO,s that will educate the boy kids and support them.

If we can go into foundational solutions like this, am telling u.. In the next 10 to 15 yrs u will be surprise the kind of young men we will have in the street.

We should focus on long-term solution not short term solutions like going to prison....

Our core is rotten, until we fix it prison go full

What makes me laugh is Nigerians fighting discrimination in another man's country and bringing out anti discrimination laws for that country

In their country called Nigeria, foreigners and Nigerian employers oppress and discriminate against employees but you will never see a Nigerian fight or show them the labour law against discrimination.

Nigerians are one set of funny creatures
If u try to fight, they will bring out tribal card... Go back to ur Anambra and work, leave our Lagos alone....

Nigeria is not one, so fighting abroad for ur right is easy than fighting for ur right in ur own country

He said the bill will stigmatise lecturers in universities.

Romance › Re: Help Me, Before I Kill My Husband. I'm Going Crazy, What Should I Do? by martowskin1(m): 7:20am On Jul 07, 2020
Openbusiness3:
My husband donated his sperm for IVF without my consent!! We have been married for 8 years with 5 children, 2 boys and 3 girls. His best friend has been married for 3 years without kids.

The wife is my friend. My husband was given One (1)million Naira for his sperm to be donated to my friend, the wife to my husband’s best friend. I was never told about this. Her pregnancy was announced around October 2017.

I was so happy for her, she never disclosed anything to me let alone how she went for IVF procedure. She gave birth to 2 daugthers in August, 2018. They threw a party and painted the town red.

In mid-November 2018, the kids just turned 3 months when one of the babies fell from the rocking chair in their sitting room.

She was bleeding, so they took her to the hospital, only to discover that she was SS, they later took the other one there for test and she is AS. They called my husband 2 weeks ago at 2am early morning on that day to come to the hospital, he wanted to go alone, I said I will come with him as I was also very worried for the baby.

The first thing that shocked me, was that the baby so much looked like my daugthers at that age. She has the big eyes of my husband and my 5 kids. My husband was told to donate blood as he has O negative like the child.

He is the only one to give blood to the baby, as she had lost a lot of blood. After 2 hours there, we went home. I could not sleep, I told my husband directly; ” Is there something about your friend’s child you want me to know?’ he said no. I said ok and slept off.

I noticed he was already awake and left home for work too early. I quickly dressed up and went to the hospital to see the wife. Only to see my husband there with them. I asked them straight if it was my husband that donated his sperm for the IVF? Because my husband is AS genotype like his wife unknowingly, while I am AA like her husband. My husband knew but wanted the One (1) Million Naira.

They did not bother to find out. She told me she wanted to tell me when they were all planning it last year, it was my husband that kicked against it, that I will never agree to the plan. I called his family and my uncle only, as I do not have parents. I told them that I can only remain in this marriage if the 2 daughters of his best friend is given back to me.

They are my husband’s kids and mine as well, or they MUST pay me 2 million Naira, or I will quit my marriage. My husband is a cow. The twins are too beautiful like my husband for me to leave them with that family. My last child is lonely and needs a little one to play with. I know i sound a bit crazy, l’ am sorry i can not think straight anymore. This is just too much for me to handle.

I need advise on what to do next. Thanks

Crime › Re: Joke Bakare: Saying No And Helping Rape Victims by martowskin1(m): 7:05am On Jul 05, 2020
The girl in Jigawa that experienced rape at the hands of 11 men on different occasions; did not do anything wrong. She did not dress in a revealing manner. In fact, she is just a 12-year-old girl. To those people looking for a reason to blame the victim, sorry, she did nothing wrong.

Furthermore, the gruesome rape and murder of Uwaila Omozuwa in a church shows that no place is indeed safe. No one can blame her for being at the wrong place. No one can blame for going to ‘his’ place at night. She was reading in a church. A place of refuge, a place she felt most secured. However, she underestimated the fact that a beast was lurking around. So sad.

The dastardly rape and brutal murder of Uwa has invalidated all claims and views about rape. How could she have prevented what happened?

If her parent had called that day and she told them she was reading in a church; they would have had no reason to be concerned. However, they got the worst news a parent could ever get. ‘Your daughter is dead, raped and killed in a bloody church.’

A girl/woman is constantly vulnerable to rape. As a toddler, she is at risk of rape from people most trusted by her parents. At the risk of family members or relatives raping her. In school, her teacher could be a beast in human form. Even her friend’s or boyfriend’s place is also a dangerous place?

So where is safe for her?

The truth is that a girl/woman should not be in constant fear. Everywhere and every place should be safe for her. She is not responsible for caging those perverts. That’s the job of society.

Maybe all men are potential rapists that need to undergo some sort of therapy. We owe it to our daughters, wives, and mothers to immediately commence a national awareness on rape. Organize therapy sessions to purge traits of rape in everyman.

Because the animals that perpetrate rape are not products of immaculate conception. Indeed, they are born by women, perhaps have female siblings, and maybe even female children (Lord have mercy).

Rape is indeed a pandemic, a never-ending pandemic.
According to a National Survey carried out in 2014 on Violence Against Children in Nigeria; it was confirmed that one in four females reported experiencing sexual violence in childhood; with approximately 70% reporting more than one incident of sexual violence.
In the same study, it was found that 24.8% of females aged 18 to 24 years experienced sexual abuse; prior to age 18 of which 5.0% sought help, with only 3.5% receiving any services.

These statistics are grim enough. Unfortunately, rape is under-reported. People, due to stigmatization don’t want to report rape. We have a justice system that makes reporting rape seems like adding extra burden on the victim. The same police that victims are supposed to report to allegedly raped sex workers with sachet water nylon in Abuja not too long ago.

Even at that, there is a need to have a system that can guarantee justice; for both the accused and the victim without destroying both in the process.

I understand that there is a national outrage in the wake of the sad incident involving Uwa. People are angry. Personally, I am livid. But the anger should be directed at creating a solution. Changing the existing legislation, awareness on rape and most importantly; everyone needs to create that safe environment for girls/women.

If you hear a troubling sound from your neighbour, knock on that door and ask questions. If you see a man or a boy getting too cozy with a little girl; poke your nose in the matter. In fact, your little “amebo” could help prevent rape or molestation.

Parents, take time to talk to your sons and male wards that a girl’s body is her absolute right with her total discretion on whom and when to give. Consent is hers to give and withdraw at will. In fact, she can give at first round and withdraw it at second. More so, she has the right to withdraw such consent in the middle of the action.

Also, parents, you should be your daughters’ confidant. Let her be able to talk to you. Father, sex talk with your daughter is not gross. Let her be able to talk to you.

There is nothing like settling it within the family. If punishing perpetrators of rape would shatter the family, then let it be. If the animal had thought about the family, he would not have done it.

As tempting as it is to talk about rape and molestation of boys also, I will refrain from it. Today is all about girls and women. The only hope would be that we would not have to wait until tragedy strikes again; before raising a voice.

False rape accusation

Creating a rape-free society as elucidated earlier involves getting everyone behind it. Most importantly men, not just because the main transgressors are of our gender. But because the victims are our siblings, mothers and children.

Also, we are vulnerable to false accusations. Creating a better justice system that will guarantee justice for victims in rape cases; will also help people facing false accusations.

This is not just a time for rage. It is a time to work in creating that system which works for all victims. The lack of a reliable system has made people turn to social media for settling or seeking justice on rape-related cases.

However, social media has shown that it is not equipped for the endeavour. As a court of opinion, yes, but a court of justice, no.

It is in everyone’s best interest to create a safe environment for our girls and women. But most importantly, on the rare occasion that some beat the safety net; there should be a place for swift and fair justice.

S.O.
With all ur plenty write up.

1. You make it look like rape is a one way street. Do you know young boys are been molested by their aunties and mother apprentice on daily basis, this boys grow up without telling anyone, all they see in women is sex. because from their tender age they have been messed up.

There are young boys who aunties and mother friends have forced to give them head by licking their private part, this boys don't even know what they are doing, some are into forced to fingering... Even house help, do a lot to baby boys.

because women are manipulative rapist, you all make rape look like a one way street.

2. Lastly, we all talk and talk, with this ur many write up, u gave no single solution to the problem, you said we should create safe environment for victims, u never said how to create this environment.

Until we start treating rape case like the problem it is and stop making it look like a gender issue we are going no where.

Lol, I saw 1Billion Million naira. This is coming from the chambers of a so called SAN. grin

Dbanj is a clown. First, you sue the girl for 100Million naira to silence her now 1 billion to make her cower in fear.

The most important thing for any sane celebrity right now would be to clear his name and get a public apology but he keeps increasing the money knowing fully well the girl can't pay just to intimidate her.

The way Dapo is going about this issue, he is exposing himself that he is really scared.

I don't believe the girl will win except she has strong evidence but I believe she is telling the truth.

Some men will quote me now accusing me of supporting her without proof but they are supporting dbanj here without proof too. We all have a right to believe whoever we want to.

If you quote me to throw insults, thunder will fire you.
No one will insult u.

Things like this have two ways.

1. Judge it emotionally

2. Judge it logically.

I choose to be logical. So if she is accusing dbang we don't expect him not to defend him self. Rape accusation is no joke, even if he wins, the scare of the scander won't leave.

Remember we have brothers, uncles, fathers and nephews even if u are a woman.

If someone accuse them with no proof, will u still say u believe because u are a woman.

Seglink has came out to point she was not arrested or detained. Her lawyer was there , her mother was even there.

The feminist coven trying to push her will run.

Rape accusation is worst than death, so if a woman want to come out and accuse, then u have to get a solid evidence, or the accuse will rip u off.

Probably, the CAN should petition or sue the two State government....

The Irony about the lockdown of the Christian worship center is that some of those that have been won for Jesus Christ can go back to the world because of lack of fellowship with the brethren...

Romance › Re: Dating Nigerian-American girls in the United States by martowskin1(m): 3:35pm On Jun 27, 2020
Crispels:
Nigerian-Americans to a very large extent, are Nigerians who were born and/or raised by Nigerian parents in the United States. Most of them were born to Nigerian immigrant families - many of whom migrated to Yankee during the ”visa lottery and green card regime”. Some prominent Nigerian American girls are Tomi Adeyemi, Chineye Ogwumike, Nneka Ogwumike, Arike Ogunbowale, Oyinye Iweala and many more.

In the course of my experience studying and living in America, I’ve interacted with so many Nigerian-Americans and these are some of my observations.

This thread is a response to previous threads on dating African Americans and immigrant Nigerian women(those who migrated to the US from Naija as adults - some in their late 20s and some in their early 30s, 40s etc) in the USA. This particular thread could help guide prospective Nigerian foreign students or immigrants in America - who hope to end up with one of their sisters or brothers that were born and raised in the diaspora.

(1). Most of them(Nigerian-Americans) are more Nigerian than you think.

There is an erroneous belief among many Nigerians back home who feel once people leave Nigeria - they stop being a Nigerian. To be honest, I'm more Nigerian right now than I was while growing up in Naija. For many Nigerian-Americans, the story is the same. Most(not all) of the Nigerian-Americans I’ve met here are so deeply rooted in the Nigerian culture that I'm sometimes left in awe. Many of them have Nigerian flags in their apartments and if you check their Instagram profiles - you are very likely to see the smiley of a Nigerian flag there. And please: don't think ”patriotism is sweet from the abroad”.

There are many Nigerian-Americans who go home every 6months - they know how difficult things could be in Naija but the reality is: once you have a Nigerian ancestry - you and your descendants are forever Nigerians. Thus, you can never disassociate yourself from your roots. Unless you just want to foo.l yourself. I know of Nigerian immigrants (with a US green card) who left the US(sold their properties) and returned to Naija to hustle because living abroad does not feel like home to many Nigerians.

In states like Texas, Maryland, New York, Georgia, California, Illinois, and others with tens of thousands of Nigerians, it is common to meet Nigerian-American girls who eat only Nigerian food(they don't like American food despite being born and raised there). They also know the songs of Davido, Wiz Kid, Burna Boy, Tiwa, Falz, Zlatan, Naira Marley and the likes in manners typical of a Lagos babe. That explains why whenever these Naija artistes come to the US - their concerts are usually sold out. Nigerian -Americans no dey joke with Afrobeat music oo.

(2). Nigerian -American girls are super ambitious and successful

Wait! If you are a Naija guy hoping to date a Naija-Americana, you better up your game now! These girls are not joking mehn. 99% of the Nigerian-American girls around me are all pursuing careers that pay at least 6-figures annually. There was a Nigerian-American girl I met in New York. She had her first degree from Harvard. An MPH(Master of Public Health) from Yale and she's about resuming medical school at another ivy league school. In a system like America, with the field she plans to work in, such a fellow is likely to end up earning at least $500,000 pay in a few years. Her story is similar to that of most Nigerian-American girls here. I have never met a Naija-Americana who is not interested in higher degrees or high paying careers in America like medicine, nursing, tech, finance, pharmacy, sports, business/investment/investment banking, trade, engineering, consulting, etc.

So, if you plan to date/marry a Naija-Americana, you must be ambitious, honest, and hardworking. Otherwise, you go play second fiddle tire.

(3). Their parents and family are heavily involved in their lives.

One of the major reasons why they are super successful is because of their parents. Most Nigerian-Americans live in America but they were raised in Nigerian homes. Thus, many of their parents raised them like Naija kids - read your books. Work hard. Be excellent and always aim for the top. Pursue high-paying careers. All of these coupled with the enabling environment and opportunities that America provides make them who they are. Many of their parents give them the specs of the husbands/wives they want them to have. I’ve seen cases where Nigerian-American girls refused to date guys because they were not ambitious and successful enough. In fact, within the Nigerian community here, there is ”elitism”(if you are a young Nigerian chap and you are not well educated or you don't have a good-paying career job, many Nigerian-Americans won't even roll with you. This is a story for another day).

(4). They don't really need your money.

They want you to be successful. Be well educated and have a great career but they don't plan to leech off you. To the basics. Whenever I go out with Nigerian-American girls here, they always want to pay for their own food and drinks. In fact, some of them have offered to pay for mine - even though I invited them for lunch/dinner. I’ve had arguments with a few of them for always wanting to split bills when I was the one who planned the treat. Hence, don't expect them to disturb you for money related to makeup, hair, accessories, and the likes. Although, it is always good to surprise them with gifts and flowers - if you plan to date or marry any of them.

(5).Many of them place a premium on physical features(being tall is a big deal to them)

Especially when they are young(let's say below the age of 25), many Nigerian-American girls love guys with certain physical features like height(6’7 tall), muscles, beards and the likes. They love guys that are athletic and super clean. So, apart from being career-driven, be prepared to hit the gym to grow some mass if you wan see them date. cheesy
Although, as they grow older, they tend to care less about these physical features. Regardless, they always love and prefer tall and clean guys who have great careers. Their ideal man is a guy who is physically appealing, clean, intelligent, career-driven and has a great taste of fashion.

(6). They are not your cooks or slaves

This is the American part of them. If you know you want a wife that will constantly cook for you, clean the house and do other numerous chores. Sorry. Most Nigerian-American girls are not for you. You, as a man must learn how to cook as well. Clean the bathroom. Wash dishes and other ways you could be of assistance to her. They are not your typical ”villa girls”. If you plan to date/marry a Nigerian-American babe, be prepared to split the cookings/chores - the same way you will always split many of your bills.

(7). They can be sometimes arrogant and snobby

Many of them can ghost guys for Africa sha especially when they find you socially awkward or not possessing the physical features they desire in their man or you don't look like what they prefer. I find this to be somewhat childish tho. It's part of the unnecessary ”growing class division” within the Nigerian community here.

(cool. Treat them right. Take good care of them and support them. They are our sisters and brothers!

CAVEAT: These points were made based on my own personal experience. Another person may have a slightly different experience. ONE LOVE NAIJA ❤️.
Cooks or slave indeed. How this generation now term cooking to slavery baffles me

First mistake never never marry a girl raised by a single mother. She saw what her mother went through bc of men and u will pay for it. She was raised to hate men. Her mother hates men bc of her failed relationship with them.

Second mistake how can you apologize when u are not guilty. I kw u are guilty Sha.

Since u are guilty and have apologize then u have to go and report to whoever gave her hand in marriage to you may be he can help resolve the matter.

No need for police, your children are with their mother and they are safe. No crime that needs police involvement except u want to waste your money.

Always avoid single mothers and their children when u want a serious relationship
U nailed it..... Marrying a girl raised by a single mother is a total deal breaker. ... Men won't learn and listen .... When u tell them to avoid such people, they will start forming male feminist

even if he didn't win, i liked his boldness ... not a coward like ambode. this is the fight we expected from ambode, but he chickened out. if u want to go down, then do it in a grandstyle.

This would have been very good news. Infact, it would have been a sound recognition of scholarship by the Chinese.

But it won't be any of the above. Reason being that it ain't from UNN, IMSU, FUTO or any of the schools in the east.

That is the extent of foolishness always on display by late lamidi cownu's brainwashed delusional miscreants angry
Can't u see how u are more stupid ... Disgracing ur ancestors and family on NL day after day.

Can't u just read like every sensible person and congratulate them?

U have to sell ur foolishness so we can notice u.... And we have noticed u...

I wonder why you are still with him. He claims to love you but not enough to kill his fears and marry you. Sweet sister , your boy friend is afraid of one thing and it is called “commitment and responsibility “. Leave him as soon as you can and wait for the right man to come. Any baby daddy is free to mingle with as many women as he wants besides no vow or laws binding him to you. He wants to eat his cake and still have it.
africa feminist have made it look like africa marriage only benefit men... like women are being called slave for wanting to get married.... this things keep hitting our social media space day in day out.

this is the result, more and more men are gradually reorienting themselves of this union called marriage... it will get more difficult with time.... women should just adjust, because baby mama is now a thing of this generation

our generation has lost it

Point to one project that PDP did in its 16 years of looting
U Nigerian youth need ur head adjusted. U need to learn from the Americans with their common voice against the government.

And stop dividing ur foolish self across party lines and tribal lines.

Is not PDP vs APC, is not Yoruba vs Igbo.

Its we the citizens vs the leaders of this country. Until we understand this we are not going forward ...
