Are you even living in 2013 when you're claiming Tinapa, built since when is just beginning to come to life this year? Well, is it only Tinapa that is wasting away? How about Itakpe Iron Ore Mining Company, Ajaokuta, National Theatre, Lagos, perhaps The international Conference Centre in Abuja self … I think the list is endless. We should just conclude that anything government associated in this country is doomed to fail. Imagine How effective these places would be if they were privately owned. The salvation of Nigeria I believe, lies in the shoulders of the private sector. |
Having been on Nairaland for quite sometime now, I have noticed some funny trends that becomes prevailing across threads. I vividly remembered Team Garri that spread like "My Oga at The Top" wildfire sometimes back. In case you are new to Nairaland, well, Team Garri are random Nairaland members who goes to comment on any thread "and How does this affect the price of Garri in the market?" Even if the topic was "California's bushfire renders thousands homeless", or "New breakthrough emerges in Cancer vaccine research". Well they are at it again. It is always end time things to them, even when they read "Microsoft acquires Noka" or "NYSC allowances not yet paid". Perhaps they are right. It is always end time in Nigeria, given the number of strange things that happen everyday. Like when a political party suddenly splits into two like it is a yard of "Ankara" material, yet without changing names. I wonder what would be the next trend after the moderators succeed in suppressing this fad! |
To the writer of this post, I honestly think you should not have displayed the level of your mediocrity on the internet. Like as if people of low income don't deserve a good product? is that How really rich you are? well I guess you're one of those stereotype Nigerians who defines their wealth by a commercial product. That is So boring! Anyway, you wait till Apple launches their budget IPhones made of plastic for the emerging markets. |
maybe it's your own sperm they are selling. Mediocre journalists that won't mind their business, or better still, face some more serious aspect of the trade. So how has that exactly solved any social vices? Afterall, they are not even carrying guns to rob people's home or constitute a threat to the rest of us! |
bloggernaija: Nice one.***comment removed! *** I'll have to agree with you on this! |
Even Tecno knows better ways of getting creative with phone design/OS! A backward OS? I can so never never get a blackberry in this age and in ages to come! What this company lacks is a handful of creative thinkers. They'd better outsourced their thinking platforms to the public. |
And this is the same Lagos that some culturally biased people are laying claims to as if you can literally pick gold off its street! I am so tired of the state of this nation! SMH |
What an interesting thread to stumble upon today! I have been going over the thread from page 1 since morning. I must say kudos to everyone that has given out a great deal of information for the benefit of everyone. As an Aquaculture student myself, I have learnt so much on local knowledge of aquaculture than I have ever imagined in one day. It is never the habit of typical Nigerians to give out beneficial piece of information for free, so I am highly impressed! I observed that nobody is talking about cage aquaculture. It is an area that the beauty of every cost saving technique ever discussed here comes out. Imagine never having to worry about shortage of oxygen, pond leakage, water quality problems and you are not digging boreholes or buying land, yet you can produce all-year round! This is because you are using a pre-existing water body that is naturally 'home' to the fish being cultured. All you just have to strategize on is feeding. Our team has developed a model for cage aquaculture business. It is a big-monied startup, but the returns are worth it within a short while. It is really a diversified, multi-focused project, which I will term hi-tech; in that it involves more than the conventional cage aquaculture system. Just as someone said earlier, the hi-tech farmer has every edge over others. We are looking for interested investors in this area particularly in Lagos. The proposal can be mailed out to anyone willing. Thanks |
what exactly do you want sir? the knowledge of fish feed production or what? Aquaculture Expert here, you might let us discuss privately! |
you can use Airtel BIS on both packages on your Android phone. I don't call with Airtel, but I believe club 10 should be okay for that |
what do you mean by fish farming cooperatives? |
How to use your Android phone to play games on your laptop, or use it as a wireless keyboard or mouse control for laptop. This is especially good if you have android phones with physical keyboard like Tecno Q1 or HTC desire G2. www.nairaland.com/1403354/how-use-android-phone-laptop |
I could have sworn that your article was brilliant, but I think it has got some myopic views towards it. In my own opinion, yours is not any different from the outburst of Afrocandy that was shared over the internet some few weeks back. You are only just moral. Personally, I hate when people advertise their morality across the internet. This is 2013 for the good Lord's sake. How exactly is BBA related to homosexuality? You could have said you hate both the idea of homosexuality and BBA reality show. I feel irritated when I hear fellow Africans feel that the west is getting all imperialistic on them. The internet, smartphone and probably the building you were at the time you thought of that all contain a form (or entirely) of western influence. I should mention that this is no longer the colonial era, so please live in this century! Thank you. |
I figure that I always come to Nairaland to benefit from the discovery of others, so today, it's just fair that I share my little discovery also. For many of us that key M,G or sad enough, A is not working on our laptop keyboards, or even our iernal mouse act like it has got a mind of it's own. Also, if we really want a super cool way to impress our friends with our Android gadgets, then maybe we can all benefit from this nevertheless. First, you need an Android phone, then download the App: RemoteDroid from Google play. Likewise, download the desktop equivalent of this app and extract on your desktop, from here: www.remotedroid.net/RemoteDroidServer_v1.5.zip You must have installed Java on your system to proceed. When you've completed the processes, then create a WIFI access (I used secure access) using tethering and wireless hotspot, which you should connect to on your system. Now open the two desktop and mobile application, then connect from the phone. If you followed the process carefully, the IP should change from the default 127.0.0.1 to enable you use your phone as mouse and keyboard simultaneously. It is also very cool to play games on your laptop, since many games have options for keyboard control. So it also acts as a cordless pad, especially good for Android phones with physical keyboard like HTC desire G2, or Tecno Q1. I recommend SWYPE keyboard on your phone. it's very creative and it allows you to type faster. Have fun with this. If you have problems connecting, share. |
Reddit.com. The front page of the internet. |
maybe Tecno n3 discussion thread. It has crossed 400 pages now, I think. I wonder what those guys are still gisting about! |
Sorry about that! Must be a difficult moment. Just send your account number as some users requested. There are still some good Nigerians out there that are not emphatic towards their fellow neighbors. Just ninety 1000 naira or one eighty 500 naira would do! |
How much? |
I have decided never to use MTN network to browse ever again after the negative experiences I had recently, despite paying. I would rather stick with Airtel's irregular data services! |
And who will believe this poo ![]() |
yes, and add if you create a new topic on Nairaland to judge people when you are not their God to the list. This is 2013 for Christ's sake! |
janykute: It's obvious you've been away from the country for so long and has lost touch of reality. That's why I asked. You mind answering the question? Thanks |
Hello fellow Nairalanders! I wanted to know what the physical equivalent of 10 million naira would be, considering the present economic situation of the country. Is it a petrol station, good quality hotel, standard secondary school, or what other ideas have you got that would cost that amount in terms of investment? Please, I need expert opinion, Thank you! |
This company has laid a premature egg again. I think they need an incubator this time. Imagine an Android 4.2 without 3g. How would one access Google Play to download large softwares with these crappy networks? especially where WIFI isn't exactly widespread in Today's Nigeria? Anyway, I think people new to the Android experience should start with TECNO.They can move on 'up' later, to feel what Android really looks like. |
We like deceiving ourselves alot in this country. We never reason from both sides of the coin, we just assume. I think many of the people defending this monstrosity are either church goers or private university products. I wonder if you guys would stand a chance in today's dog-eat-dog Nigeria. Anyway, your strength lies in the private sector. I am a privileged product of a public University of Technology here in Nigeria, FUTA, and I know the worth of my own education. It is not half-baked like many of you in privately owned institutions think. I worry the system of education in this country has been bastardised with money: Summer semester to run carry over courses, (thank God I heard that has been cancelled) Excessive first class from products that entered the system with 160 UME score and other eyesore. I am not being discriminatory here, but it's in the soon coming future that the repercussions would appear. We can all stand and watch. |
You've not briefed us properly about the benefits of the product and the availability of the materials required to construct it. Please detail us more about why we need to pay for what you offer, thank you! |
We really really need a council for the regulation of Education in this country. It's about that time!!! |
OMG! And this made Nairaland front-page in 2013 when Nokia has invented a 41mp camera? SMH. |
Lilhacker: my guy mtn bis has stopped...thank god for the rubbish poo we've been copyin we now use driod vpn which is even more effective...y don't u just sit back and use the rubbish poo to help ur smart phone life instead of insultin those who spend their mb tryin to help u...mtchewwgentleman, I was not referring to everyone that has contributed some valuable knowledge to this thread, so take it easy! At least, not someone like 'lacosteIII' who just explained the mtn stuff up there. Some just come to paste what they didn't try out here, forgetting that many people reply on the knowledge before taking decisions. It's just isn't fair! |
Allwellcj: hi house, who has eva used or still using etisalat BB subscription n is it still workin till date? wot is d apn settings like, d code n how much? i wasted money on glo n it didnt work pls i dnt want to waste money agn. someone using it n its sure shud help out pls.Gotcha! they will never tell you the actual truth! Rather, they go to some rubbish blog and copy shit and head directly here to paste the nonsense, so that innocent people would fall victim. From my little knowledge, I think only airtel and MTN.BIS works on Android. MTN has been unreliable and expensive these days, leaving only Airtel as the better alternative. Just change your APN to blackberry.net. Hope this helps! |
