I wonder why my post was hidden. Seems this Nairaland self is being paid for Tecno advocacy. You can't ram something down our throats no matter how well packaged it may be. I am disposing my Tecno n3 soon for better Android devices. I know better now. If you like, go ahead and hide this post again. |
Nice concept. One should be able to change the colour of the fonts though, and more fonts should be included. Please how do I contact you? |
I will give you a feedback! love this concept. please watch this space. |
This country just sinks into depths of mediocrity daily. The headlines one day would read "I have done well, says Jonathan", the next day, the Senate would approve anti-gay laws. Yet, a lot of people feeling good about these news are unemployed and probably not well fed. This is a country whereby popular baby factories have been recently uncovered whereby young girls would actually sell their babies for money, yet we think we are more morally upright than some 'western' countries whose citizens would not even dare a thing like that. Even the religious bodies that acts as advocates for the marriage institution has a social justice system that is perverted. We either kill innocent people or live extravagantly and insensitive about the plight of the poor all in the name of God. Our country is deeply entrenched in corruption, insecurity, poverty, educational deprivation, lack of infrastructures and quality health services, yet we are silent on any of these pressing issues. We just like ostriches burying our heads in the sand, denying the reality in our lives by appearing morally relevant, yet, our butt is glaring to all. We will see how far this gets us! |
Dear sir, we all don't share your personal philosophy. Thank you! |
It's not as rugged as it sounds if it can't be rooted, especially hearing it's just 512mb |
You can make a rectangular glass case to keep it inside. Put soil, water and decorate it with rocks and twigs to make it feel comfortable. Have fun! |
I am sharing this update to appreciate the strong men of the Nigerian Army who are risking their lives to confront the forces of hate, intolerance and tyranny, up north our dear nation. Remember there is strength in valour. Better we died for some good cause than we lived, enslaved by pleasure. I commend you to the good God! |
I understand that most Nigerians like to announce their unintelligence on the internet. Our people would rather tell the foremost scientific body to keep their findings on how to combat hunger, by bringing the poor, unnutritious garri they have always been eating as against a very rich source of protein. We would never get anywhere in this country with these thought process. We'd best be silent if we are not improving the matter on ground! |
So all it took for you to loose your faith is mere JAMB result? Something so mere, ephemeral and intangible as that? Not even the death of a loved one, the loss of lifetime investment or rejection of friends... Need I remind you that Undergraduate certificate in today's Nigeria is worth school cert. Yet, many without any certificate are at the helms of affairs in this country today, because they had help from Divinity. Better dust off your faith, you have not even seen life. Just that secondary school experience should not make you take sensitive life decisions. You still have a lot to achieve in life. |
Very impressive television set. Back in those days, our neighbours used to cover theirs with one transparent coloured stuff to give it a 'colour' effect. We actually turned it into an aquarium as a class practical. I will come back to upload the picture of that when I have time. |
Our president is either 'very concerned' or making declarations like a religious leader. His best efforts are declaring amnesty, pardons and forming committees. I'm sure none of all these would work here. Educating young people in a developing country is not a negotiable issue because, like developed countries where young people can afford not to go to school and escape with it (although getting rarer everyday too), the chances here are very slim. The bitter truth is that you are either in school or selling gala to travellers. God help you if you get a better job. Sadly, the religiously- owned institutions that ought to be the saviour of the common man are provocatively over-priced like there is no tomorrow. The future of this country looks very scary with these issues. |
Saka should not motivate reasonable people to port their lines. It's a decisive action. I think the people that would benefit most from this feature are youth coppers and perhaps, older people. The only network we all should port from, perhaps is MTN that has milked Nigerians dry since its inception. Although, since many smartphones are dual sim these days and given the fact that, MTN has the best Internet access all over, except the other networks beef up their Internet content, I don't see many young people porting. |
Sorry, who is 2face? Is he on the TIME 100 list? Because that's where I now take my cue for Nigerian celebrities. You are either relevant all across or you keep trying. Don't show off! |
Wheew! Maybe the enemy came to take his soul on holiday. I sincerely pray that God blows the whistle that would get him back soon. I wouldn't want to reach down this stage, where he can look straight into the cold, dangerously deceptive eye of the devil. I honestly don't think that the points he gave can cause me to change my mind anyway. Yes, call me a deluded entity in the 21st century, but I would rather be appear to be decieved than knowing am getting a false hope perhaps, no hope at all. I hope science will be there for him as he faces the inevitable or Richard Dawkins blessings will lead him onwards. Of what use as the Bible said will it be for a man to gain the whole world, and loose his soul? Faith is what pulls us through in life, though many like him makes the mistake of not combining it with reason. |
It really excites me to know that these telecoms company looses much for generating unused Internet times. It shows that no one is a monopoly of greed. Trust Nigerians, they will always find a way to circumvent their silly restrictions. I recently decided to narrow down my internet usage to the mtn pulse data, of which I discovered how poor this low-end really service is. Why offer something for free when you know that people will not be able to enjoy it? The irony of the story is that a major celebrity was hired to advertise it. (I thank God it isn't my name that is attached anyway, 'cos I won't want my name attached to mediocrity) Till we get the internet plan we truly deserve as Nigerians after enriching these people, then we will continue to fold our money into our pockets. #OCCUPYMTN |
sirfemoz: Have taken some time to go through comments of some people here, and I understood one thing, Nigerians are never proud/patriotic of what they have. If Nigerians visit foreign land, they will appreciate the beauty of that place. back here at home, we are talking jibberish. Abuja is the fastest growing capital city in Africa. Would you all rather prefer if you visit the capital of your country and it looks like a slum? The other day, it was the pictures of Uyo that was displayed here, we all applauded to that. Few days ago, it was pictures of Lagos, we all applauded to that, but to some, they didn't because they had a biased mind. Abuja is a well planned city, its not a must that everybody will live there. If your income do not measure up, there are some cities in Nigeria that you can live comfortably and happy. Appreciate your Government, nobody will be in the seat of government and be perfect. My fellow Nairalanders, no matter what you talk here on this forum, Abuja is still growing and moving on a fast lane. My advice to all who do not want to appreciate good things, "its either you join the moving train, or you stay back with you computer system and come up with a very constructive/educative argument. God Bless Federal Republic of NigeriaMister, firstly, you need to know that some of us are comfortable where we are, even if it is not Abuja or Lagos. Also, it's not all of us, like the government of Nigeria; that would say what is, where it isn't. How can you say a city is to accommodate only poor people and you are proud of that fact? I bet even New York has a lot of homeless people that are just citizens as the most expensive celebrity. The city is supposed to be a conglomerate of peoples, either rich or poor. Besides, people are at liberty to say their minds over what they see on the internet, as long as they are not trespassing their boundaries. Thank you |
We know better anyway. Some words are best unsaid. |
So are we to eat the curves of the city's architecture or what exactly? I bet Calabar has better designs, from the pictures we see of it. Personally, I would rate Abuja very poorly interms of city infrastructure and systems. What is a capital city without a concentration of really 'gigantic' skyscrapers first of all? Not tall storey buildings, Lol. Having known much of the best parts of Abuja, I dare say Lagos is the future of Nigeria. Even the name is enough to inspire romance ;-) Thankfully, this expo was created by the same person : https://www.nairaland.com/364691/beautiful-calabar-pictures |
A lesson to us all. We should never believe everything especially coming from the Internet and Nigerian news media. In fact, Nairaland is not a website, and you should not believe that I told you never to believe. |
Black people with their bad mouth! It's their life, so they should live it the way that suits them. If he married a man now, we would all want to comment that his space is already being saved in hell. Now he's marrying an old woman and we all think our opinions are consequential. Like as if old people don't deserve to be loved. Though personally I can't do such, but I wish him well with his decision. At least I know that I am not his God, so why the heck should I judge his actions? |
Though I am not a Catholic, I won't stand by and watch you propagate your hear-say on the internet about the Catholic church. The pope does not have a private jet, and I don't think he drinks from golden chalet. Infact, the present pope is such a moderacy-loving pope that he "has been known for his humility, his concern for the poor, and ...has displayed a simpler and less formal approach to the office, including a decision to reside in the Vatican guesthouse rather than the papal residence used by his predecessors since 1903." According to Wikipedia. Please bring up your facts with proof next time. |
BEMAN: jesus had d opportunity to use horse bt he used donkey so nt a gud ref mateGod bless you for this! Did Jesus not come to leave a model for new testament Christianity? What of Paul the apostle? Is he any different in the way he lived his livestyle? You know that part where Jesus said that the poor will always be among us, Maybe He meant for us to take care of them. I don't want to judge anyone here , but in a country where lots and lots of people are suffering avoidably daily, yet if some are so much comfortable because they preach the gospel, then it tells alot. If the church is not leaving a model for social justice in today's world, then so much for being the salt of the earth then! P.S I used to think like this man in the next post too, till I got my reasoning back from sentiment. No offence meant o! |
That should not just be described as a loot, rather a determining factor of the destiny of a whole lot of people. Schools, roads, hospitals, industries, systems and otherwise. He has not only stolen, he has set a model for corruption in public service. I normally wouldn't say this, but I hope Abacha don't make heaven. At least, a lot of people deserves such a compensation for his after-life. |
No Qualms: Thank you. Where are you? I'm in Akure. I will prefer to partition mine though.Dude, am in Akure, I can help you with that. |
Too bad no one replies my request to this thread again. I can not remember any reply I got to my previous posts. Please who has installed Asphalt 7 Heat v1.0.4 build 1041 on his phone and how to go about it? After extracting both main 101 and patch1041 to the specified folder, the game still didn't play. Please anbody to help? The MTN BIS is now truly limited o, After a long session of heavy downloads, it didn't connect again, then they now deduct small money from 0.1kobo to naira depending on how I download, at least till my subscription expires. Also, who has played this interesting game, Skate board HD. It's file size isn't much, but it's addictive.

Sorry about your ordeal, So much for a faith-based school that is modelling one of the best institutions in the world (in moral prowess). After all, this isn't the first time we are hearing a negative report similar to yours, coming from CU. Who should we blame anyway, there is so much injustice in the world, so why shouldn't Faith-based institutions contribute their own quota? I believe so much depends on money these days.. |
I see newer versions of N3 come with system updates directly via WIFI or mobile network. Has anyone tried using it? Is there something like a higher Gingerbread version? (Not like the way Nokia firmware update only feature new wallpapers o, and a useless application) Also, these annoying adverts that pops up, how can we get rid of them? I learnt there's an add - blocker for rooted phones.. |
Brainrex: My n3 got stolen todaytoo bad we are all saying sorry without doing anything about it. Thanks to him today, many of us have a good knowledge of the Android OS. If just 27 of us sent him 500naira, he will get one back in no time. Haba! why shouldn't we be able to? I request you post your account here, at least some of us can send you our little token. And please don't think he sent me to do this because I don't even know him! Also, why isn't anyone responding to my request for MTN and GLO BIS? |
so please how do one get the GLO BIS running and what is the data limit for 1 week? Also, is MTN bis still working with or without droid vpn? Thanks. |
