to those having problem with their 2go login, don't leave a space between your username and password, especially when you use predictive text keyboard, so delete the automatic space at the back of both login inputs. If it doesn't work which I guarantee it will, I have another version for HTC, but where to upload it without wasting my time is the issue. Then if the 2go keyboard fail to show, press menu then back, then menu again, it will show

Phones › Re: Huawei 4Afrika Phone By Huawei & Microsoft For Africa by matrixme(m):
I think this phone is dead on arrival! First of all, the name sounds too geeky for the average fashionable African (lady). "So what do you call this? 4Afrika. (yinmu)" that sounds like a smartphone segregated from the larger (international) audience and as such, don't think it will appeal much to Nigerians especially.. Personally after using Symbian, Blackberry and now Android, I don't think I would want to 'downgrade' in my smartphone adventure unlike most people who wouldn't advance beyond stage 2 especially with the launch of the new BBZ10. Though important, most of the time, it shouldn't be about money when you target emerging African markets, especially on durable products that people attach value to. lastly, does it have a bundled internet? if not, except it's battery can charge itself without power source , I think Microsoft and Huawei should go back to the design table.

Politics › Re: G8 Leaders To Discuss Nigeria’s Controversial Oil Wealth Wastage by matrixme(m): 1:54pm On Feb 03, 2013
It starts off with well intended thoughts, and the future of our dear country is in jeopardy. After these so called developed countries plundered the resources of their lands and put their environment at risk, they are now on the hunt for fertile but gullible countries in far away Africa to re-colonize. Of course, the present-day inefficiencies in our government will fizzle off with time. After all, it was GEJ that probably brought the matter to limelight. Like as if they are not the ones with the technical expertise in siphoning the resource legally if we should really go deep into the matter! So I think we should resist all these ulterior motives by western countries to take over what rightfully belongs to us, at least for the sake of our children.

Phones › Re: Nokia's Symbian Is Officially Dead...!!! by matrixme(m):
Let's face it, Nokia and Windows OS are like 2 dinosaurs waiting for extinction . Since the early days of exquisite smartphones, who uses Windows OS to impress and gets attention for it? Android, iOS and even BlackBerry (that people have even now turned their back against) are the attention pullers. These two guys ought to face the bitter fact that their romance is not exactly welcoming to the target audience . I pity Nokia more shaa, Windows can rely on their system market. Even Techno now makes android that's not only appealing, also price - friendly. So the low - end market that used to be Nokia's strength is now threatened. I hope the company won't start struggling to survive like RIM soon, 'cos I really hate to see their quality hardwares go to waste. I really believe OS is the soul of smartphones. Anyway, unlike in education, you have to be really smart when you work in tech. :-)
Politics › 21st Century Re-colonization On Africa By The Developed World by matrixme(op): 7:44pm On Jan 24, 2013
If you have been observing the trend of things , you ought to have noticed the strategic entry of foreign multi-nationals and governments into the African soil with an aim of bringing development to the continent all around, but with an ulterior motive that spans a new re-colonization of the continent. From enormous grants to buying up lands, sighting cooperate offices and the establishment of military bases, should we Africans not be threatened by these 'father Christmas' gestures and try to take over our lands and resources for the sake of our children? Since the human nature is wired around the 'give-and-take' principle, having drained severely of valuable brain and people potential, is this not the last assault of the developed world on Africa and what can we do about it ? There are numerous examples on this. The other day, I was reading the National Geographic Magazine where I learnt that some European countries have plans to tap solar energy from the Sahara desert and export to their countries. Do we all fold our hands and leave our destinies in the hands of our insensitive government, or do we get up and fight for what is rightfully ours through strategic actions? If so, what can we do?
Business › Do Unions & Co-operatives Contribute To Socio-economic Development In Nigeria? by matrixme(op): 7:11pm On Jan 24, 2013
We must have felt their influence at one point or another: From ASUU, NURTW to the local cooperatives and thrift agencies in the rural areas. Meant to be a shield of the weak by the synergy of the strength of individuals, has the operation of cooperatives and unions been truly beneficial to their members and the entire populace in general, knowing that they also exist as intermediaries between the stakeholders and the government (which most often, have been unfair towards her citizens) . Or has the most common weakness of ineffective leadership operating all around us, bedevilled their operations and set them as inhibitors to the development of the majority they were meant to protect?

Nairaland General › Re: Nairaland's Journey To 1 Million Members by matrixme(m): 5:46pm On Jan 19, 2013
Kudoes to the Nairaland team. One million is such a number! Anyway, hope we get certain amount of quality and professionalism this time. About one million people should not click on one of their favourite bookmarks to find a mediocre topic trending. The web is a very wide place and the people that use it have short patience. My humble advice anyway.
Career › Re: University Courses That Are Waste Of Time by matrixme(m): 12:18pm On Jan 12, 2013
The gentleman that created this topic really needs to understand '' the wideness of the world ''. In the 21st century, the best way to stay in relevance is by meddling. After all, every man must choose his own path. It becomes very irrelevant these days, the course you studied in the university, when after all, the people in the know, especially in a developing nation like ours are barely educated. Like the Yoruba's always say, there are too many words inside a book you buy for a kobo. Not that education is not important anyway, but in reality, it is not what puts you in relevance all by itself. So, stop being a stereotype.
Nairaland General › Re: Dashrath Manjhi 'The Man Who Moved A Mountain' by matrixme(m): 5:43pm On Jan 11, 2013
The man has a Wikipedia page to his name already. I was even surprised the link wasn't from there. A movie has even been launched based on his touching action. Shows that it's not everything in life that's about money.

Christianity Etc › Re: How To Tell A Prosperity Preacher by matrixme(m): 5:17pm On Jan 08, 2013
It's your choice if you want atheists and unbelievers controlling the wealth of this world while you that serve a God that owns the cattles on the hills with a lean purse. I'm not letting myself get indoctrinated into your poverty peddle. If you're against the church of Jesus Christ prospering tremendiously, then maybe you've not fully understand why He had to die. Please don't cheat yourself of financial prosperity in God's way. Get into the wave!
Phones › Re: Tecno N3 Discussion Thread by matrixme(m): 6:01pm On Jan 07, 2013
I had to dispose my BB to get this phone after taking time to study this particular thread. I have never had a cause to regret the decision ever since. Let BB users keep changing their Dp's there, while the mobile world passes them by. (they have my pity anyway) To those of you still thinking if you should get this phone or not, if you can't change your mind, then you cannot change anything! If you are not the type that gets enslaved by other people's opinion, then you should reason that alot of people cannot be wrong about this particular phone. It's the 'in' thing now... About this rooting thing, I'll rather let someone with experience get it done for me. Seems like I deleted the 2go that came pre-installed on it and I have problem goggling that out. I'll appreciate any help from the (TECHNO) android einsteins around. Thanks
Travel › Re: Pictures From Dana Air Inaugural Flight by matrixme(m): 10:40pm On Jan 05, 2013
This is human wickedness in play! When you have an insensitive government coupled with an hell-bent investor, an ignorant celebrity (does he think that everything is joke?) and a good photographer equipped with a fine camera, then you have something to flaunt. I hope judgement day comes fast!
Nairaland General › Re: What Is The Significance/reason(s) For Cross-over Night? by matrixme(m): 7:58am On Jan 01, 2013
People should not generalize on things... If December 31st night doesn't look significant to you, then I personally believe it is up to you. Last time I checked, "watchnight service" has got its own Wikipedia page, so it must be that important enough to a whole lot of people who feels thankful to their creator for counting them privileged to be alive and to receive instructions and cover for the new year among other reasons. Besides, nobody is being forced to attend one, for there are many other "great" places one can spend such important night. After all, it is just only "one out of the many" days in a year to the undiscerning
Education › Re: Universities To Avoid If You Are Immoral From Your Home by matrixme(m): 7:59am On Dec 27, 2012
Seriously, you have my pity if you attend a private university in today's Nigeria where you're expected to behave like a crocodile in the river of unemployment and limited opportunities. I think you've had a very important aspect of your emotional life sucked away. I attend a public university that has both boys and girls hostel separated by a fence and there has been no issue of a break-in through the school's 30 year history. We're at liberty to use phones and do every other things our colleagues do around the world. If the goal of education is freedom (teach a man to fish idea), then you're barely educating people by restricting them of certain privileges. My fear is for such graduates not to end up mostly as legislators in the nearest future, then we're so doomed as a nation. They will do great in the private sector of which they are groomed for anyway.
Politics › Re: FG Declares 3-day Public Holidays To Mark Christmas, New Year by matrixme(m): 6:41am On Dec 18, 2012
The typical Nigerian attitude that delights in holiday is at work here. The total holidays we've had this year (which I believe is the worst, especially if you're a student) must be enough to build Rome. Maybe one day, we may clamour for the government to cancel all forms of work.
Nairaland General › Religious Leaders, Marketers, Politicians. Which Is More Persuasive? by matrixme(op): 4:56pm On Dec 15, 2012
We all know that the end-point of the three is to sell an idea to us, which should not be imposed upon anyone in an ideal scenario. Religious leaders basically aim to convince us to amend our ways in order to obtain Salvation for our souls in the. Long-run. Politicians convince us that they have the best plans/ideas that will transform our lives and catalyse societal development, while Marketers literally sell products to us every time, convincing us that such are better than the ones we have presently, or available at the moment. So out of the three groups, which appears to be winning best in their line of function? Provided all other factors are equal, and the religious leader, politician or marketer is not the authoritative type?
Webmasters › Re: Google's Most Searched Words In Nigeria by matrixme(m): 9:24am On Dec 15, 2012
If these average points are the trends in Nigeria, then we really have so much to do if we want to compete favourably this 21st century. Imagine if many more people googled 'how to be self-employed', 'how to use the sun effectively', 'how to defeat poverty' and many other positive 'how-to's out there, then we have hope. Afterall, Google is always there to answer. The internet population in developing countries really need to be enlightened not to be 'average minds using an intelligent search engine'. Just thinking anyway, so say whatever you like.
Politics › Re: Ibadan: One Of Five African Cities To Watch - Financial Times by matrixme(m): 8:51am On Dec 15, 2012
Well, apart from the fact that dirt lives in Ibadan comfortably, I personally see no reason why it cannot compete favourably with that proud Lagos! After all it has a prestigious university that could churn out more professionals at post-graduate level easier than UNILAG (oops! My bad. MAULAG). Besides, things are quite cheaper in IB than it obtains in probably any other city in Nigeria. So given an easy access to professionals and cheaper production costs (arguably) plus other potentials, why won't any sensible investor be tempted soon enough?
Christianity Etc › Re: Pastors Will Buy More Jets – Bishop Francis Oke by matrixme(m): 5:50pm On Dec 13, 2012
I honestly cannot reconcile with this issue, affecting modern christianity today. Men of God riding private jets like politicians in a country where majority of the people go to bed hungry every night. Did Jesus actually die for us to have it all, or to give it all? Since we cannot have it all and give it all at the same time. Are the "big" pastors truly better than the people under them before God that they deserve special privileges not available to the majority? How will this appease to the people of the opposite religion who are silently reading our lives like an open book? Besides, how will the pastors convince their congregation of a life away from materialism, when a private jet suggests sophistication at it's highest form? These are many more questions are what bothers me till I find genuine answers, though I've not been listening to pastors with private jets lately anyway, and yes, I'm blessed! so say all you like!

I think you're the simple-minded one here Sire! If you weren't able to decode the last part of the statement easily, then it means if he keeps working hard in 'simple-minded' terms... He had to start from somewhere anyway, as most popular scientists did.
Politics › Re: Leke Alder: Nigeria’s ‘yahoo Yahoo’ Image by matrixme(m): 12:20am On Dec 05, 2012
A'int that an opportunity in disguise for smart enterpreneurs? I mean who needs J.C Penny or Amazon and the likes when you could actually market perfumes and sunglasses on Nairaland topics? I hate to say this to the Popular Leke Adler, but sir, talk is very cheap. If the global online businesses finally get to realise how much they've lost in terms of population as Nigeria's strength, then they will soon weep. Afterall, we have Google, Nokia, Blackberry and now lately.. Apple. Others may soon join in, I believe.

Education › Re: “Face Your Book And Desist From Facebook” – VC Tells Students by matrixme(m): 8:39pm On Dec 04, 2012
He man has spoken well! I personally believe he has nothing to loose by making such an attention catching statement. I'm a university student, and I always express shock at what is going on these days in the system. It is now a matter of gone are those days where students study hard to get good or average grades. Except ones that are naturally brilliant and enthusiastic, students prefer to do every other cool things than read these days.
