Without prejudice to being a yoruba lady, I have to agree with KarmaMod on this. When you have a million and one
yorubas that are better qualified to play a yoruba role, but you settle for an igbo actor, that is nothing but
tribalism at play.

I don't think there is any other way of interpreting this. It's just tribalism plain and simple.

Besides, the way yorubas (and other Nigerian tribes, I might add) are depicted in igbo movies
is really sickening. You'll see these hausas always playing the role of a poor maiguard with no
common sense.

But some of our igbo brothers and sisters on nairaland would turn the other cheek all in the name of defending their tribe.

A CBS poll of uncommitted voters found: 40 percent identified Obama as the winner; 26 percent said McCain won, while 35 percent said it was a tie.

If the Vice President (Goodluck Jonathan) was from the North, then it'll be easier for him to resign. The problem is,
if he resigns, a Southerner is going to be sworn in as the next president and the north doesn't want that.

At this rate, it seems the man would rather die in office than resign and attend to his health.

Tahir, who said this in Minna, Niger State, on Wednesday when he delivered a lecture entitled “The Renewal of Hope” at the presentation of award of excellence to the state governor, Dr. Babangida Aliyu, by the Gamji Association of Nigeria, added that the economic policies were put in place by the government allegedly in concert with the Central Bank Governor, Professor Charles Soludo.

Alhaji Tahir said it was regrettable that some “inexperienced, callous, immoral, corrupt and odious young Northerners were roped into the scheme and they played their part in a most noxious manner.”

He submitted that if the policy packages of the Obasanjo government in the last eight years were critically examined and the allocation of resources sector by sector x-rayed, it would not be difficult to conclude that the implementation of the policies were designed for the underdevelop of the North.

have been charged to court by the EFCC ?

Yar'Adua and his EFCC (Farida Waziri) are still busy concentrating (mostly) on the yorubas.

So, they don't have time for Sam Egwu (for now anyway).
