The fruit(s) your organization is producing shows you're not on the ge nu ine path!
Just as Jesus produced fruit and Pharisees said he belongs to Satan shey? Matthew 10:24-25

Your own church you dey hide because there is nothing to show for your faith:

Nevertheless, someone will say: “You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” James 2:18

Testimony full everywhere that only JWs are doing God's will today! wink

Speaking in tongues recklessly; whether at home, in church, while leading prayers e.t.c is not good. You should speak in tongues rightly, always, but not frivolously.
This alone has shown that you people are confused with this deceptive spirit as you can't mention the name of any church where this your spirit is actually working out something worthwhile! wink

JEHOVAH'S WITNESS is operating at a different level.
They have been steadfast, resolute and committed.
I hold no grudge against them. They downplay commercialization of churches.
They entertain persecutions a lot, in fact more than several Christian bodies.
Seems in their church everyone is at same level irrespective of your degree, financial acquaintance and contacts.
And it seems they obey the Bible the most:
-They hardly disturb neighbors during prayers.
-They frown at intimidation and flamboyant lifestyles.
-They ensure financial gifts are covered and never displeased at whatever they recieve.
-Their members would make good politicians but they frown at politics
I respect them. I judge based on actions and not what I'm told

The Bible did not say, let's leave that as something not revealed but as for what is written no one prayed in tongue that is why Paul was correcting people who thought presumptuously saying jargons could be approved after all they can say it's praying and praying is part of worship in Christianity! undecided

The Bible didn't say he was praying all what he needs to do is LAY HIS HAND ON THEM!
Please stop adding to God's word speak differs from pray that's why Paul is telling them that they need to know the purpose of praying because when others don't understand what you are saying then it is futile and they are justified if they choose not to say "amen"😟

Wrong
Polygamy was not permitted but was the way of man's living since men had grown to love evil and do polygamy as Cain's grandson had shown them.
So, it is a case of that the whole world was engaged and practicing polygamy exactly how they practice paganism which no one says was permitted
Is incest approved by the mosaic law?
Who did Cain marry?

My own response:
God permitted incest because Adam's children must reproduce before having to fill the earth but after the earth has been filled with families God told his worshipers not to practice it anymore. But in God's law it's abominable for children born by the same mother to have sex.

Did God's word approve prostitution and adultery?
Was Judah's child with Tamar approved under the mosaic law?

My response:
God permitted it because Judah wanted to send the girl away since his two sons died while trying to raise children through Tamar. But in God's law it is forbidden for a man to have sex with his own daughter in-law.

So there are certain things God permitted until the law came therefore anyone who committed such ignorantly is not judged until the law forbids it.
Polygamy was permitted until the Christ told us that it wasn't what God purposed in the beginning!

Speaking in tongues and praying in tongues are referring to the same thing as you can see in the Bible passages below:

[[1 Corinthians 14:2 KJV]] For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

[[1 Corinthians 14:14-15 KJV]] 14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
Just quote where they PRAY in tongue.

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses we don't build house for anyone in the name of "PASTOR" but when it comes to things having to do with pure worship apart from our immediate family others aren't our responsibility surely we can be generous towards them but not over what is necessary to do in God's house.

Christianity Etc › Re: SHOCKING! You Can Sing, Preach, And Serve In Church Yet Miss Jesus – Selman by MaxInDHouse(m): 6:10am On Sep 16, 2025
IfyBioTv:
**Question for you:** Do you think many Christians today are substituting church activities for true relationship with God?
Relationship with God begins with doing the work Jesus commissioned which is PREACHING and TEACHING people around you about the message of God's Kingdom {Matthew 10:11-13} this is the primary assignment given to all disciples of Christ Jesus {Matthew 28:18-20} and it's by doing this work that people in your neighborhood can see that we are WITNESSES to the fact that Christ came to establish a message which should be taken to the ends of the earth! Act 1:8

That is what it means to BELIEVE in Jesus {John 3:16} not gathering people to make money through followers on social media!

Selman is only gathering people to make money he is not leading them to go and preach to their neighbors at home just as Jesus our Master Lord and King Christ Jesus laid down! Matthew 4:17

So Mr Selman himself is not even a Christian according to what Jesus taught in the Bible but a false prophet whose fruit (followers) aren't doing the work Jesus assigned to his disciples! Matthew 7:16-18
Christianity Etc › Re: How Did Paul's Teachings Become Central To Christianity? by MaxInDHouse(m):
How did Paul's teachings now become central to Christianity?

Jesus answered this question!

In an illustration Jesus said:

“The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come. “Then he sent some more servants and said, ‘Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.’ “But they paid no attention and went off—one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city. “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.” ‭Matthew 22:2-14 NIV‬

The Jews lost the glory given to their city when they rejected the Christ and condemned him before a Roman governor who washed his hands telling them he is no part of the killing of an innocent soul {Matthew 27:24-25} from that very moment the blessings that comes with Abrahamic faith was taken away from the Jews and given to Christianity {Matthew 21:43} as regards their city (Jerusalem) God abandoned it for them! Matthew 23:37-38

After three decades the Romans came to Jerusalem, destroyed the city, killed Jews in millions and destroyed their temple which they thought God will stop enemy nations from destroying because they failed to realize that the death and resurrection of Jesus means a new temple has been raised {John 2:19-22} which is not about bricks but faith in the Christ. By the time Jerusalem and her temple got destroyed faith in Christ continues among the gentile nations and who established those churches among the gentiles?
It's none other than our beloved apostle Paul. 2Peter 3:15
So that's how Paul's teachings became the central since he established the churches outside Jerusalem which continues after the Jews lost their city and glory!

May you have peace!
Christianity Etc › Re: How Did Paul's Teachings Become Central To Christianity? by MaxInDHouse(m): 4:30am On Sep 16, 2025
22jumpstreet:
Jesus: “I will judge you by your works.”

Paul: “I hate the law, so works mean nothing.”
You misconstrued the whole thing!

Jesus' audience were Jews living in Judea {Matthew 10:6 compare to Matthew 15:24} while Paul's audience were mainly Judaists from other nations {Romans 11:13; 1Timothy2:7} what Jesus said about the law will make his listeners understood that without a careful study of Mosaic laws (inside which prophecies about the Christ are numerous) they can't grasp what he is doing. Luke 24:27
So wise ones among the Jews discovered many things after careful study of what is written in the laws regarding the Christ {Matthew 2:17-18; 12:17-21; John 2:17} while unwise ones just followed their religious leaders who misled them due to envy that Jesus was gaining attention. Matthew 15:14

So Paul's audience who mostly former Judaists thought it's by continuing with Judaism that they can gain God's approval needs to know that the laws have finished it's purpose after the arrival of the Christ {Romans 10:4} Jews who still believe that practicing what the laws say must continue are lost because Moses himself told them that the laws will lead them to someone who will tell them what they need to gain salvation! Deuteronomy 18:18-19
So Jews hinging on the mosaic laws after Christ are still running after the prize has been given to winners because Christ is the major reason why God gave that nation the laws for them to identify him and learn the Way to holiness {Isaiah 35:8} which the law can't give them! Jeremiah 31:31-34
