Christianity Etc › Re: How Do You Respond To Threats By Ministers On The Pulpit? by MaxInDHouse(m): 11:33am On Sep 14, 2025
True religion in this endtime has been taken to the highest level {Isaiah 2:2} and only individuals with innocent hands and a pure heart, who has not sworn a false oath {Psalms 24:4} that's why Jesus said it's like the narrow path, there is no chance to switch lanes {Matthew 7:13-14} because worshipers of God this time must think and do things this same way (in spirit) and in accordance with God's written words (truth) John 4:23-24

So try to find out the true religion not just accepting every religion because they are saying "Jesus is Lord" Matthew 7:21-23
Christianity Etc › Re: Elijah Fled From Jezebel Despite His Great Anointing! Many Lessons To Learn! by MaxInDHouse(m): 11:10am On Sep 14, 2025
The false prophets were slaughtered due to the reminder Elijah gave Israelites as written in God's laws {Deuteronomy 13:6-11} but when it comes to the life of a politician no servant of God should disrespect them {Romans 13:1-3} otherwise such a person will face the wrath all alone. Romans 13:4

John the baptist is the greatest of all the ancient servants of God according to Jesus {Matthew 11:11} he was arrested and killed for questioning the authority of a politician who snatched another man's wife! Matthew 14:2-4

When John called to know why Jesus isn't taking any action regarding his unlawful detention Jesus told his that he is doing his own assigned duty! John 11:2-6

Servants of God are not to interfere in the personal life of politicians we can only speak with innocent people who don't know what is happening regarding falsehood!

Christianity Etc › Re: JW 047 Why I Left But Still Can't Forget My Former Religion! by MaxInDHouse(op): 8:19am On Sep 14, 2025
If you leave your former religion for another you should have a reason and it should be that your former religion is false so when you found the true religion you left falsehood for truth.

In today's world it's common to see people leaving a religion for another or attending two different religions yet claim worshiper of one God, in Bible times this is called "IDOLATRY"

Of course such individuals may be doing so ignorantly therefore they need to be informed but if they resist the truth then they should be left alone, worshipers of the true God must do things the same way (in spirit) and in line with scriptural principles (in truth) {John 4:23-24} this will make them have the same line of thought wherever they are! John 17:22
Christianity Etc › Re: JW 048 He WAS The Meekest Of All Men: How? Why? And What's The Meaning? by MaxInDHouse(op): 4:34am On Sep 14, 2025
Today we have so many religious leaders out there and they are protecting their image so when anyone speaks against them they think of using everything within their reach to fight back like politicians.
Real servants of God are not bothered by whatever critics are saying.
WHY?
Because their works bears witness to the facts they are saying and there can never be a better option for truth, critics only complains but can never ever found a better replacement for servants of the true God.
Back in the days of Noah there were many preachers.
How do we know this?
God's word called Noah "a preacher of righteousness" {2Peter 2:5} meaning there were other preachers but they weren't sent by the true God whose message Noah was spreading.
So how can someone back then identify the true servant of God back in Noah's days?
Jesus said:
"Moreover, just as it occurred in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of man: they were eating, they were drinking, men were marrying, women were being given in marriage until that day when Noah entered into the ark, and the Flood came and destroyed them all" Luke 17:26-27
Note that Jesus mentioned nothing evil in eating, drinking or getting married so what exactly is his point?
Jesus answered: "they took no note" {Matthew 24:39} this means Noah was doing something in line with what he was preaching which supposed to be a sign that his message is from God!

Noah was WORKING in line with his faith {James 2:18} and if anyone is observant such a person will see that what God said through Noah is already work in progress as Noah was building an Ark to save creatures that can't live in water.

So true servants of God are not bothered by the things critics are saying against them {Matthew 5:11-12} in fact the critics are indirectly helping the true servants of God.

How?

Because sincere and honest hearted individuals will like to verify bad reports spread by critics against God's servants {1Thessalonians 5:21} after noticing the fine works of the accused {Matthew 5:16} but the inexperienced will be carried away with bad reports.

So to identify God's servants look for the WORKS of FAITH because true faith goes along with fine works {James 2:18-26} and if you carefully note the fine works of God's true servants you won't be swept away as it happened to ignorant ones in the days of Noah! Matthew 24:39
Christianity Etc › Re: Correcting Misconceptions ......????? by MaxInDHouse(m):
So misconception totally differs from the word misinterpretation just as you can't say you are on the side of a King whose words has been written down by his secretary yet you stand to contradict the written words of that King claiming it doesn't make sense to you. But if it's the interpreter that you are trying to correct then you are still on point because the interpreter whose connection with the author could be probed may commit a blunder. Please let us respect whatever is written in the holy books as sacred writings and look forward to its practical applications.
Whoever feels like correcting whatever is found written in any of the books will surely be biased towards the other but if we allow subscribers (believers) from both sides to explain their beliefs and prove how beneficial are things found in them then we can all see clearly where the falsehood hides not reasoning from one end simply because that's what we were taught to believe.

RavinWolf:
✅ 1. Jesus condemned pride — not roles
“And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers…”
– Ephesians 4:11
We have all these among us but they're not recognized outside our gathering because they don't bear the office title with their names.
RavinWolf:
✅ 2. False ministers exist — but not all ministers are false
Paul warned us that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, and his servants pretend to be apostles and teachers (2 Corinthians 11:13–14). That's true. But he didn’t say everyone with those titles is fake. We are told to test the spirits (1 John 4:1), not condemn all ministers outright.
Fake are ministers whose religious titles are known by outsiders apart from members of the congregation so nobody outside our congregation knows any of our ministers with titles yet we've got brothers serving in all those offices.
RavinWolf:
✅ 3. Material wealth isn’t automatic proof of corruption
It’s dangerous to assume that anyone with material possessions or influence is automatically a false Christian.
We have billionaires among us but they must delete their status off their heads to carry their Bibles and bags for preaching from house to house and door to door as humble followers of Christ Jesus! Luke 18:22

RavinWolf:
Let’s judge people by their fruits, not just by their titles or bank accounts (Matthew 7:16–20).
Any religion where all the members aren't preaching and teaching in their neighborhood is fake that's the import of Matthew 7:15-20 because the fruitage of Christ is his disciples who are preaching and teaching in all the earth {Matthew 28:19-20; Act 1:8} so if any group only gathers people to teach them but members aren't preaching as Jesus commanded then such a religion is not producing the fruit Jesus talked about!

RavinWolf:
✅ 4. True Christianity is deeper than outward labels

I agree — not everyone who shouts “Lord, Lord” is truly saved (Matthew 7:21).
We must walk in humility, holiness, and truth. But that doesn’t mean the presence of a title like “Pastor” or “Bishop” makes someone automatically fake.
There are still true shepherds after God’s heart out there (Jeremiah 3:15).
💭 Final Thought:
Let’s be careful not to throw away the baby with the bathwater.
Jesus was against spiritual pride, not spiritual leadership.
He was against empty religion, not divine order.
Let’s expose error, yes — but also honor those who labor faithfully in truth and love (1 Thessalonians 5:12–13).
Thanks again for your comment — iron sharpens iron.
True Christianity doesn't promote titles outside the congregation of God because it's only within us that these men are serving as ministers not outside the congregation when people see us outside the congregation nobody should know the difference. That's why Pharisees couldn't identify Jesus in the midst of his disciples once a person is identified by outsiders with a title then members of such a group are not Christians!

If Kumuyi followed the instructions Jesus gave no sincere and honest hearted member of the church will take the woman's side in fact members of her own family will tell her that she's evil after seeing all the effort Kumuyi put in place to make peace but with what Kumuyi did now all those who are on the woman's side will surely leave the church with the feeling that Kumuyi is guilty.

Do you see why following Jesus' words is the wisest thing to do?

Well that's why the scriptures referred to Jesus as the Most Wonderful Counselor ever among humans! Isaiah 9:6

I believe if you read the post a lot will b clarified. The woman actually replied and she said she was disappointed. I believe the sending out of the church is due to the fact that she has started influencing the members negatively
Why is it that you people keep on shying away from the instructions Jesus gave his disciples?
Is Kumuyi above Jesus' laws?

Critics always have the reasons to cause confusion that is what Jesus foresaw before giving us the directives on how to purge such rebellious ones out of the gathering of faithful worshipers.
Note that the woman must have first spoken against Kumuyi her fellow worshiper so it's when Kumuyi got to know of it that he took that drastic action but that's an unchristian approach. He should try to speak with her in person which surely will not work so the second step which is calling another brother to see speak with this woman and wisely someone who is closer to that woman by expressing his disappointment in a fellow believer who has been speaking against him. Now someone else is involved and the woman's friend with whom she can't lie if Kumuyi should go to her because she must have said things that's untrue to malign Kumuyi so Satan will be silenced.
But what happens if she still disagree with her own friend who came to make peace with Kumuyi whom she speaks against? Then the elders of the church (representing the congregation) will now call both of them to express themselves freely that is where everyone will now see to it that she is truly a devil Incarnate at that time if she still disagree with the congregation then it's no longer an issue between her and Kumuyi but herself and God's holy spirit because Kumuyi has followed all the necessary procedures to appease her but she has proved that she wasn't a true member of Christ's family so everyone will hear about it and shun the evil person! MaxInDHouse:
The Bible God is rich so His worshipers are the richest of all people on planet earth.
But how do we quantify the word "RICH"?
Well we need to note that riches is not just what we value when the persons involved doesn't value it.
For instance gold is a precious stone that is valued by most people became it's used as jewelries and for decoration but what if we take it to a place where the inhabitants don't use gold as jewelries? That means our precious yellow metal has become almost useless because it's not solid enough to stand on its own unless when applied on other solid materials for beautification whereas beauty remains in the eyes of the beholder.
So what is true riches?
Well true riches connotes sufficiency this means if a community is truly rich all members of such a community will be happy as they equally possess what they valued most and in such a community there will be love, joy and peace.
True Christians valued something totally different from what the world has to offer not things that perishes therefore when you see people accumulating perishable material things of the world know today that they are not followers of the man from Nazareth: Jesus!

“Stop storing up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. If PASTORS are living in extreme wealth, while many in their congregation can’t afford school fees or basic needs, should we not ask why?
The highlighted word is a religious title that calls attention in today's world and Jesus taught us not to bear titles that will be recognizable in the world! Matthew 23:8
In Jesus' day the common title among Jews is "RABBI" meaning TEACHER the Pharisees back then bears this title so wherever they go in their community they are highly respected {Matthew 23:6-7} in order to make unscriptural gain with their religious titles they use God's word to bind people {Matthew 23:4} to extort money! Matthew 23:23

Today's Pharisees are using the titles like PASTOR, BISHOP, APOSTLE and the likes to claim referential treatment in the society so if you don't understand what Jesus taught in the scriptures you may mistake these people for Christians they only changed their titles {2Corinthians 11:13-14} because Jesus spoke extensively about them in the Bible but the mode of operation remains the same just like the Pharisees of the first century!
So they are not TRUE Christians that's why they are all accumulating material possessions and since they have many following them the society is filled with greedy people!

Christianity Etc › Re: As A Christian In Politcs by MaxInDHouse(m):
From the day John the baptist and Jesus of Nazareth began preaching and saying:
“Repent, for the Kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.” Matthew 3:2; 4:17
All faithful servants of God has diverted their minds not to seek solace in world's rulers anymore rather they must start putting their trust in God's government (God's Kingdom) Matthew 6:10
What about Satan and his demons?
Now they are as vicious as ever before ready to provoke people to the extreme {Revelations 12:7, 12} and since their destruction is imminent they want to get all humans involved in politics by all means {Revelations 13:16-18} so even if you don't like violence you will be compelled to support one side against another in the struggle for a better government but Born Again Christians has been given the wisdom from above they knew what is happening is not from humans so they won't support any side because what Satan and his demons are targeting is for people to start killing themselves in the struggle to get a better government {Revelations 6:3-4} that's why apostle Paul alerted the first century Christians that our struggle is not against these humans we are seeing rather it's against Satan and his demons who are the powerful spirits behind human governments! Ephesians 6:12

But is it easy to look away seeing people like us getting all the goodies with human governments yet fold our harms to keep praying for God's own government to come? Matthew 6:10

Of course it's not easy at all that's why Jesus said:

"From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of the heavens is the goal toward which men press, and those pressing forward are seizing it." Matthew 11:12

This means whoever wants to rule with Jesus must fight against his own fleshly desires {1Corinthans 9:27} so as to remain strong in the faith as he looks straight to Jesus and the prize without giving in to any distractions! Hebrews 12:2

So Satan and his demons are ready to do the worst to provoke faithful people in order to get them involved in politics but we must prove that we are no part of the world {John 17:14-16} that's under the control of Satan {1John 5:19} even if it means laying down our lives for the sake of the Kingdom of our God and of his Christ {Revelations 12:10} knowing fully well that we are conquerors with the blood of the lamb! Revelations 12:11

God bless you and may you have peace!
Christianity Etc › Re: As A Christian In Politcs by MaxInDHouse(m):
Satan started politics by initiating Adam and Eve in a cunning way so that the two became envious of God's position {Genesis 3:5} they decided to turn their backs on God and to become Gods themselves! Genesis 3:22
From that very day mankind started seeking higher positions among themselves to oppress one another just as Satan did back in heaven {Isaiah 14:12-14} so whenever you hear or see people killing people for power Satan started it and initiated many {John 8:44} that's why people in ancient times were seeking high positions among themselves gathering followers to rule over humble people it's this situation that led to wars throughout the world till today! Revelations 6:3-4

So before our common era God chose the land of Canaan for pure worship to be established He doesn't want to interfere with what Satan initiated but to prepare a people among whom the Christ is to be born but Satan knew this very well that is why he keeps gathering the nations to disrupt God's purpose by attacking the land and fighting the Israelites all these failed because the true God is solidly behind Israel not for anything else but for the fact that it's within this people the Christ is to come.

Later Israelites got fed up with the attacks from enemy nations and they demanded for a king something that was initiated by Satan among the nations! 1Samuel 8:5-7

The Christ supposed to be the King in Israel but his mission is to establish righteous government globally not just over a part of the earth. Isaiah 9:6-7; Daniel 2:44

The Israelites doesn't understand this so by the time they had the first human king (Saul) they thought he should rule over the whole world after all their God is the Almighty and since they have the backing of such a personality they should be unstoppable but that's not the way God arranged things {Isaiah 55:8-9} the chosen king will first gather his subjects throughout the earth {Matthew 28:18-20; Act 1:8} before bringing his armies from heaven to destroy rebellious humans! Luke 19:27

All these things was confusing to the Jews who thought once the Christ comes they will have to trample on all nations of the earth who are pagans to Israelites but the Christ came teaching them to be humble people not oppressive or vengeful! Matthew 5:43-48

With all these peace talks majority of the Jews became tired of Jesus and his ideas so they conspired to kill him because they thought he was making them vulnerable to attacks from pagan nations! John 7:48,57

Do you think each person who has been spoken against by a member of his or her church has the right to order the complainant out of the house of God?

Or are you saying only Kumuyi could do that as the Alpha and Omega of his own church?

Come on! If it's the church of Christ and not church of Kumuyi then we must all follow due process as brothers and sisters under one Lord. Matthew 23:8

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses, in our gathering no one is above another a small group called Governing Body are the ones teaching us what Christ Jesus commanded {Matthew 28:20} they are the Governing Body only when they meet together but after that meeting each of them is a member of the church outside because we must all carry our bags and go to preach and teach people living in our neighborhood.
So if one of them did something wrong i as his brother has the right to correct him instantly {Galatians 2:11-14} because nobody is perfect {James 3:2} it's when they sit together as a BODY that whatever they conclude must not be questioned. Matthew 16:19
WHY?
Because Jesus said he is the chairman of their meeting {Matthew 18:20} that's why Paul and Barnabas had to take serious matters to this BODY in Jerusalem {Act 15:1-2} and whatever that Body decides must be taken as coming from Christ Jesus who is the chairman of such a meeting because his presence is felt by the holy spirit! Why are so dogmatically adamant about something as lucid as this? Dribbling around something so clear? "Put out that wicked person."

That was the way to break fellowship in that context.
The highlighted is what you need to look into critically.
According to the report this woman (a member of the church) spoke badly about Kumuyi (a member of the church) so if Kumuyi is not the Alpha and Omega of the church but Christ Jesus then both of them needs to face a panel to be set by the elders of the church for both of them to table their differences it's after the elders of the church have concluded on the person who is found guilty that a decisive action must be taken against the guilty person. But before the matter gets to that stage Kumuyi who felt the woman did something bad against him must first humbly go and speak with his Christian sister and if she is still adamant then Kumuyi will take another brother along to plead with her if she still disagree then the matter will be tabled before the elders of the church it's after all this procedures that she will be disfellowshiped yet nobody should send her out of the church premises because it's also her father's house what members must do is stop talking or greeting her. Christianity was established with rules that Christ Jesus himself set for his disciples on how to approach matters involving a rebel! Matthew 18:15-17

Once we all shun the rebel {Romans 16:17} it will serve as punishment that the critic is no longer welcomed within the premises nobody will greet him/her not to talk of welcoming him/her in their homes! 2John 10

But let's take the matter the other way around as a man issued an order for the critic to be driven out of the premises if the critic has supporters who feels like the man issuing the order is guilty then the whole thing would lead to chaos and a fight would start between supporters of both parties. God forbid! embarassed

That's why Jesus' instructions is the best as we follow due process:

The accused speak with the complainant alone if they come to an agreement case is settled.
But if they can't then the accused must go to make peace with the complainant taking another fellow believer.
If it still doesn't work then two more believers needs to see the complainant for peace to reign.
If it still doesn't work then the body of elders in the congregation (church) must see to the matter and if the complainant still disagree with the elders of the church then it must be announced that such a person is no longer a member of the church! Matthew 18:15-17

He or she will not be forced out of the premises but no member should talk to him or her that's due process according to God's word not just one man issuing order as if he owns the church!😟

Jesus supposed to be the leader not any man {Matthew 23:28-10} but it's OK you're talking about a Christendom Church not true Christian congregation that's following exactly what Jesus taught!

As a leader, he has the right to discipline her if she does something wrong. The same Bible is in line with that.
Please quote where one man sends out another from the gathering of Christians because that's not what Jesus taught us!

Brother scriptures says he who hath the Son hath the Father. If you have fellowship with the Son, you have fellowship with the Father. Stop trying to make the Father and Son mutually exclusive. I understand you meant well but let's just leave it the way Scripture has it.
Well listen to Jesus himself:

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. ‭John 17:3 NIV‬

It's the knowledge of two separate persons we need to have everlasting life!

Congregation, Pastor MaxInDHouse has spoken ooh O hear! O hear!
Please if you do call some people Pastor in your place of worship don't address me like that i'm just a Christian we don't use worldly religious titles among us! Matthew 23:8-10

He has the right to do send her out if she has done something wrong or very offensive. You claimed that if it was JW, they would have stopped greeting and associating with her, isn't that a sin? grin
Please quote Jesus because that's what he commanded us to do! Matthew 18:15-17
And that's exactly what his first century disciples did. Romans 16:17; 2John 10

We don't put laws into anyone's hand we follow Jesus' instructions strictly!

You are just being an unnecessary trouble maker. To not keep company with the person definitely can include keeping them away from us.

1 Corinthians 5:10-13
[10]Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.
[11]But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
[12]For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
[13]But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

Stop being fault finding against churches. You're giving yourself to a wrong spirit.
GOOD! Now you are ready to know what Kumuyi did wrong!
What Paul said is in line with Jesus' words found in the Bible book of Matthew 18:15-17
It's a gradual process:
First the accused must call the critic one on one as a fellow believer but if that doesn't work the next move.
The accused must call another brother to go with him and settle the matter amicably but if it doesn't work then the next move.
The two brothers will take the matter to the elders so it will be tabled before many believers and if this person still disagree with the body of elders then the whole congregation must shun the critic and stop talking to him just as first century Jews treat outcasts! Matthew 18:15-17

So it's not one man ordering another worshiper to be driven out of the place of worship that simply means the place belongs to him not Jesus if it belongs to Jesus we must follow his instructions to the details!
