So what you quoted is directed to those who were formerly pagans, married as pagans but later converted to Christians Paul is saying they shouldn't leave their partners after all God will bless their effort if they keep on practicing what Jesus taught them with endurance and their unbelieving partner may be won over by their fine works of faith! 1Peter 3:1

So it's unchristian to marry outside the faith but if you are married before you become a believer in Christ and your partner does not want to leave you for another man or woman to have you then you must not leave your partner! 1Corinthans 7:12-13

That's what the scriptures says!

Some unbelievers were married before coming to know the truth so they should not divorce their partners because they never agreed on faith before their union but on no account should a believer settle for an unbeliever.
God will take care of our ignorance, after knowing His stand on the matter its no longer ignorance but deliberate act of disobedience!

Jews and many churchians today pray in the name of angels for instance they will say: holy Michael, holy Gabriel, holy this holy that when praying to their God but the only name given to believers that we can use in prayer to our God is "Jesus"

The reason is that back in heaven he bears the name "Michael" but here that he walked among us and gave his life as ransom for our sin the name he was called is "Jesus" that's the import of Hebrews 1:5

Today countless religions with different mode of worship, contradicting teachings and conflicting doctrines are all claiming Christians false prophets now disguised as ministers of Christ {2Corinthians 11:14} but if you want to know the true Christians all you need to do is read what Jesus laid down for his disciples on how to go about the assignment he gave them @ Matthew 10 and observe the religion whose members are practicing it exactly.
Jesus said these false prophets will do so many things to deceive people {Matthew 24:11} but it's by their fruits (activities of their followers) that will help you to know where they belong! Matthew 7:16-18

Remember the group title "CHRISTIANS" was mentioned not because disciples of Jesus were claiming it but it's their activities observed by onlookers that made them call Jesus' disciples by that name so to identify Jesus' true followers all you need to do is read your Bible to know how they operated back in the first century then look around you.

There are many trees in the forest their appearance may lead to arguments but just wait until this trees produce its fruit then no argument after seeing the fruit of each tree (religion) but sad to say that even after Jesus used this simple illustration Satan still blind people to argue aimlessly! 2Corinthians 4:4

So what is the purpose of the childish things that Christianity displayed in the first century?

Before Jesus God inspired men to pen down what we need to know about true religion {Hebrews 1:1} that's the purpose of the Bible but then the old covenant ended with John the baptist {Matthew 11:11} while the new began with the Apostles at Pentecost so these people must be equipped with signs for faithful Jews to know their God is now using Christianity and no longer Judaism.

So they spoke in tongues for two major reasons: first to preach to gentiles who were formerly Judaists and conversant with the old covenant {Act 2:2-11} secondly inspirations continues as God keeps revealing sacred secrets to the Christians while Judaists who wants to harm them usually comes around pretending to be believers so speaking in tongues helps first century disciples of Christ to get sacred secrets even when enemies are around after all the interpretation is only given to faithful ones.

But after the completion of sacred writings all these signs stopped completely.

So today what fake Christians are doing is showy display of fake signs that's of no practical benefits that's why nobody can mention any religion/church today that's doing exactly what first century disciples of Christ did back then regarding supernatural signs! Matthew 7:21-23
