LordReed:
Always changing mouth. First you said the god doesn't speak to people opposing him. Next it was the god only speaks to people who believe. Now it is he won't speak to someone de.anding him to show himself. Of course your god is the ultimate champion of hide and seek. Boju boju god. LoLz.
Instead of humbly admitting you people erred in your judgement you just want to hide under LOGIC.
The one and only God who revealed the secret of the supernaturals is JEHOVAH the Bible God, He made it clear to us that no spirit will say anything to you or appear to you if you don't believe in spirits but stay away from those who are favored by spirits because dragging what their God/gods gave them with such a person or people may lead to your destruction whether you believe or not.
That's what the Bible teach there is no instance in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation where any God/gods appear or spoke to someone who just demands seeing or hearing from them. Period! wink

After the flood God spoke only to Abraham who was a worshiper of other gods along with his father and relatives as for Job God never spoke to him until Satan failed woefully to break the man's integrity.
So if Job stood his ground despite the fact that he never heard God's voice at any time before his trial how come you atheists who doesn't even believe in God's existence are demanding He must speak with you? wink

Meanwhile, since you seem so fond of biblical references, why don't we talk about the fact that even the demons believe in God's existence?
LordReed:
Yet he doesn't talk to the Muslims or the Hindus. Abegi find another excuse this one don enter soakaway.
In ancient times that God do speak to people it's only those who believe in His existence, demons believe God exists as they have heard Him several times before their rebellion, Muslims, Hindu and all other religionists believe in the existence of God/Gods.

What i asked you guys is to provide the Bible verse where God spoke to someone because the person demanded it.

You atheists are fond of demanding God should speak to you whereas God never did that for anyone just to prove His existence that's why i said there's no need claiming God never existed simply because you haven't heard or seen Him.

In ancient times the reason why He sends messengers to tell others what He wants them to do is because He only speak to believers not just someone who claims He must see or hear Him to believe He exists! wink
Christianity Etc › Re: On The Origin of Evil by MaxInDHouse(m): 2:55pm On Feb 08, 2025
Funny atheists!
Jehovah has promised that even His own true worshipers in the last days will hear no direct words from Him other than what has been written by prophets.
So how do we know for sure that God is in our midst?
He said:

“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. ‭Isaiah 43:10 NIV‬

So if God is not speaking with His own worshipers but promised us that it's our unity and peace that will serve as proof of His presence in our midst {Isaiah 2:2-4} how do you expect Him to start speaking with atheists who don't even believe He exists?
For what purpose?

OK because He lacks worshipers who will inherit what He promised shey?

You people are just funny!

LordReed:
Yet he supposedly spoke to Saul aka Paul when he was persecuting Christians. Look for another excuse, this one no work.
TheDevilsBride:
More cognitive dissonance, lmao.
Let's not ignore the context, please. Paul (then Saul) went out of his own way, to actively persecute Christians, whom he viewed as heretics to his own understanding of God's will, as is being argued here. So if you insist that he was indeed, fighting to establish God's authority, then perhaps we may conclude that in his fervent, albeit misguided attempts to uphold God's authority, he was, in fact, opposing it! Else, why would God himself, make a cameo in the story to smite him, correct him, and then steer him towards the right path, lol?

As for your absurd allusions to Paul's instant recognition of Jesus as "Lord", it's absolutely banal and meaningless, as it doesn't absolve the fact that prior to his epiphany, he was a staunch, and avid adversary to what he perceived as a threat to his religious convictions. Whether Paul was "confused" or "misguided", he still fits the criteria of someone inadvertently opposing divine will, and posing a direct challenge to it, whether cognizant or not. So you're just being disingenuous, as per usual.
Mr & Mrs Atheists!
God doesn't speak to anyone who don't believe in His existence Paul believe God exists the reason why he was fighting those he thought were impostors unlike you people saying "there is no god"

So bring the example of someone who doesn't believe that God exists and how God spoke to such a person then i will agree with you that you know what you are demanding. wink

The heavens here are visible planet and stars we are seeing not the spirit realms where God lives!

I see. So what happened then, with Paul on the road to Damascus, hmmm? Was he not literally persecuting Christians, when God decided to stop him and have a little chat, hmmm? Or was Paul already an enthusiastic, faith-filled supporter before his divine optometry appointment, grin?
Paul is a Jew one of God's people {Act 22:3} but he was blinded by the tradition of men {Galatians 1:14 compare to Romans 10:2-3} that is why Jesus spoke to him to show the confused man mercy {Romans 9:15} and he wasn't challenging God's authority ironically he was fighting for God's authority according to his own understanding back then.

If he was challenging God's authority he wouldn't have responded calling him "Lord" at a go! Act 9:5 wink

Is it not ironic that you'd quote a passage about the folly of believing in silent gods, but you shockingly failed to notice that your God has been mute ever since the Bronze Age, lmao?
Abi, did you also fail to notice that Jehovah was apparently quite the chatterbox in the ancient times, always taking the opportunity to reveal himself, back when literacy was scarce and fact-checking was impossible, hmmm?
All of a sudden he has developed divine laryngitis since the invention of recording devices cheesy?
He has never spoken directly to anyone who is challenging His authority so your argument is dead on arrival.
As He claimed some 2,700 years ago it's obvious now that all those gods your are trying to equate with Him are nothing but the works of man's hands.
Let their worshipers MOVE to places and TALK to people about their gods that's all we are asking if truly their gods were real like the One who is able to speak and fulfill what He promised:

No weapon formed against you will have any success, And you will condemn any tongue that rises up against you in the judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness is from me,” declares Jehovah. Isaiah 54:17

It's just a pity that you an atheist is the one trying to speak for the gods you don't even believe (trust) please where are their worshipers as in those trusting (believing) in them?

Praise Jehovah! They have all become like their gods! Psalms 115:8 smiley

Are you trying to suggest that your singular personal experience trumps all the historical records compiled, all the anthropological studies made, and all the other lived experiences of billions of people across various parts of the world, besides yourself shocked? If that's the case, then what are we still talking about here? Why aren't you penning a strongly worded letter to the Nobel committee, upon discovering this revolutionary new epistemology? We can arrange a meeting, and establish some contacts, you know. They might scoff at our audacity, but it's worth a try cheesy!
Ever seen a single representative of any of these religions you mentioned at your doorstep to discuss with you about his or her god?

Well this is what the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob said about those gods in ancient times dragging supremacy with Him:

Their idols are silver and gold, The work of human hands.  A mouth they have, but they cannot speak; Eyes, but they cannot see; Ears they have, but they cannot hear; A nose, but they cannot smell; Hands they have, but they cannot feel; Feet, but they cannot walk; They make no sound with their throat. The people who make them will become just like them, As will all those who trust in them. Psalms 115:4-8

The highlighted in blue makes perfect sense to me, those gods are dumb, blind, deaf, can't perceive anything odor, can't touch, can't walk, they can't even make any sound so the true God said those trusting (believing) in them will later become like these dead gods!

Praise the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob because this thing we are reading today was written when worshipers of all these gods were dragging territories with great armies back then claiming their gods are great but what about today? TheDevilsBride can only mention their names their worshipers have become dumb, blind, deaf, no sense of smell, no feelings, immobile, can't even make any sound again while the worshipers of Jehovah are going all over the earth to make disciples preaching and teaching globally about the Kingdom of Christ who is the son of JEHOVAH! smiley

Christianity Etc › Re: God Is Everywhere But God Is Not In Every Church by MaxInDHouse(m): 12:52pm On Feb 07, 2025
Thankgod89:
I understand your reasoning, but I still maintain that God is never restricted to a particular place, no matter the situation. Most of the attributions in the texts you referenced especially in Genesis 6:6 are anthropopathic—human-like descriptions to help us relate to His actions.
Moreover, God does not focus only on faithful people. Matthew 5:45 makes it clear that He provides for both the righteous and the unrighteous, showing that His presence and care extend to all, not just those who please Him. While He delights in the faithful, He does not ignore or become unaware of unbelievers. His omniscience means He knows all things, even if He disapproves of sinful actions.
The idea that He "does not know" unbelievers is metaphorical, emphasizing their spiritual disconnection rather than literal ignorance. Even in judgment, His presence remains everywhere, and He continues to govern all creation. His holiness may lead to separation from sin, but that does not mean He withdraws or restricts Himself in any way.
It's OK i've explained myself! smiley

I never stated that God restricted Himself to a particular place. My point has always been that God is omnipresent and not confined to any specific location. If there was any misunderstanding, I’d be happy to clarify further.
MaxInDHouse:
According to the Bible He is a happy God {1Timothy 1:11} this means He hates to be sad {Genesis 6:6} so He restricted Himself to focus only on faithful people who always makes Him proud {Proverbs 27:11 compare to Job 1:8} that's why His only begotten son could say unbelievers are dead from God's standpoint {Luke 9:60} because they are like any other creature so He doesn't even know they exist since their dealings will sadden His hearts and His eyes are too pure to look at evil deeds {Habakkuk 1:13} this is the reason why He empower some angels to serve as His eyes {Ezekiel 10:12} these are the creatures that are moving throughout the earth {2 Chronicles 16:9} they are the ones bringing reports back to Him regarding where things are becoming unbearable! Genesis 18:20-21

But by the time He brings His judgement and destroy all evildoers He will return to His former ways of looking at everything because by then the earth will be filled with His knowledge and His blessings will be upon all those living! Isaiah 11:9

God bless you and may you have PEACE!

What's the point of being an all-powerful entity, if you're just going to sit back, and watch your own creation, ignore your standards.
He answered:
"Now if you will strictly obey my voice and keep my covenant, you will certainly become my special property out of all peoples, for the whole earth belongs to me" Exodus 19:5
Israelites will serve as God's special possession as example for sincere and honest hearted people in other lands.
That's why people from different nations back then began traveling to Jerusalem for the worship of the Almighty God.

So if you were alive back then and have someone living close to you who always travel to Jerusalem for pure worship that has served as a witness already that there is a God greater than the one you worship in your locality.

You cannot understand God with your sixth sense, could you explain Trinity,.God in three persons? Or.you.may ask, who created God?. So many questions that will make you to be confused. God is God period.
Trying to explain everything about God will confuse you more and more.
In Hebrews language doing something in someone's name means applying the knowledge of such a person in what we do.
Baptism first came by John the baptist as a sign of repentance to the mosaic laws so baptism that Jesus is talking about means people throughout the world need to know the God of Israel, His son sent to redeem mankind and the part God's Holy Spirit will play in our salvation.
Christianity Etc › Re: Countering The Belief In Hyper-grace by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:54am On Feb 07, 2025
Misinformation is the problem most people have the word GRACE has been misconstrued as condoning wrongdoing but what is the meaning?

Another word for grace is "UNDESERVED KINDNESS" it means God's kindness towards a sinner that such wrongdoers doesn't deserve.

For instance death is the wages of sin {Romans 6:23} but instead of killing us immediately for our wrongdoing God showed us mercy by allowing us to keep on living then in that same state God provided a sacrificial lamb that will bear all our sin so that we are declared righteous due to the blood of Jesus.
This doesn't mean that a Christian can now choose wrongdoing as an hobby but whatever error we commit unknowingly due to imperfection we only need to go and discuss it with the elders representing the congregation of God and their prayer will serve as healing for our downhearted soul. James 5:14-15
But whoever chooses to continue in his or her wrongdoing wilfully is nailing Jesus again for the second time {Hebrews 6:4-6} such ones will start hiding their sins away from the congregation by not associating with those who can help them with God's word {Hebrews 10:24-25} there is no redemption for them! Hebrews 10:26-31

I hope you realize you're admitting that your God is not just incompetent, but he's definitely not omnipotent and/or almighty as well? So, in light of this concession, why then should we call him "God"? What's your definition of "God", if he's clearly not all-powerful?
After reading the Bible where does He prove to be a bully?

There are many nations practicing what they want as religion but He only focused on Israel His special possession.

So if you're truly a researcher as you claim how do you expect such a person to force people against their wishes?
