The tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil is nature of Enki a different God from Enlil/yahuah.

Before man ate the fruit, they were like animals lacking self awareness and worshipping Enlil.
Enlil/Yahweh wants man to serve him while Enki wants man to be free independent beings and also to realize his true nature as God.

It was Enki speaking through the snake that convinced man to eat the fruit of knowledge so he could have self awareness and be able to make decisions for himself.

By eating the fruit of knowledge Enki impacted his nature into man. Knowledge is not the origin of death with knowledge man now has responsibility.

You don't punish a child for doing something wrong because they don't know what they doing, that was man before he ate the fruit. But after eating the fruit he now has knowledge so he could be punished for his actions.

That was why God/Enlil/yahuah said man is now like one of us, he now knows Good and Evil. Because this particular God didn't want man to have knowledge.

I want to ask you some questions
1. Is knowledge Evil ?
2. Why did God not allow man to eat of the tree of life after eating from the tree of knowledge, why drive them out.

You misconstrued the whole thing here because God wasn't hiding knowledge from the couple otherwise Adam couldn't have named all the animals in the garden if he had no knowledge {Genesis 2:19-20} what the tree represents is the evil which is HOW TO RULE OVER FELLOW HUMANS. Each of us is free to do whatever he or she likes but when it comes to our dealings with other humans we must solely rely on God to teach us how we can treat others right. That's the knowledge Adam and Eve seek. Note what the serpent said that interests the couple:

"Your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad." Genesis 3:5

So they wanted to become like Gods setting standards for others and not the standard God will set for us all. This is evil because it's the very reason why the world has not known peace until now! Ecclesiastes 4:1; 8:9

2. Why did God not allow man to eat of the tree of life after eating from the tree of knowledge, why drive them out.

By telling them that God lied the serpent has set up something that needed to be settled so if they were allowed to eat of the tree of life then God would have become the LIAR as the tree will stop their aging and they will no longer die to see the damage the first tree caused!

Now can you answer the question i asked you?

(1) We are happy to be the reason behind the smile on our neighbor's face.
(2) Someone is happy due to what we did.
(3) God is pleased because we believe in what His only begotten Son taught us.

“Stop storing up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

But how can we do this and be sure we aren't promoting greed?

You will notice that throughout the Bible there is no single place where a servant of God gave a beggar money.
Don't be surprised because there is no beggar among the worshipers of the true God {Psalms 23:1} but God's people used to assist one another when the need arises which means it's someone who has something doing they will assist not a professional beggar who doesn't want to do any work.
So to practice the type of giving Jesus taught you must know your fellow believers because whatever you do to them you're giving God! Matthew 25:34-40
But when you give faithless miscreants who are greedy then instead of giving thanks to God for sending you to assist them they will start trailing you for more because from their thinking you must have too much before giving out since they weren't taught the same so you end up giving a robber who will come back to steal from you!

Matthew 10:30-31

So if you truly want to become a Christian pray to God and beg Him (specifically mention) in your prayer to direct His worshipers to you for enlightenment and i'm sure our people will locate you! Act 8:29; 16:6-10

Before the white man's religion people go into SPIRITISM to protect themselves from bullies and oppressors, for instance imagine a market woman selling groceries mistakingly collided with a female military personnel and the other lady beat or slapped her what do you expect her to do? Surely she will be the one to beg for truce but what if she had a spiritual power to deal with the female military personnel?

That's how many are recruited into witchcraft where they are promised power to revenge.

But after the Catholic Church was rendered less powerful majority of protestants seek spiritual powers which they used to oppress those who went into spiritism this led to a turn around in the way people reason and so many now goes to churches of Christendom for that higher power to conquer witchcraft.
