Of course the bill is biased. Sexual harassment occurs in the university as well as workplaces all over the nation. To be fair, sexual harassment bill should cover all workplaces, including the university. Just as some lecturers bully student to submit to their sexual demands, bosses also bully or subtly harass their subordinate to summit to their sexual demand by creating unpalatable environment, threat of sack or promise of promotion. All these remove merit from workplaces. So bosses and supervisor should face stiff penalty for sexual exploitation just as professors and lecturers.

Secondly, there are loopholes in the bill. How can any law remove consent from dating and sex. There should be age of consent in any sane country. At this age, once you agree to date or have sex with anyone, it shouldn't be anyone trouble or argument for crime. The only time consent is waived is when is a subordinate- supervisor relationship in some work places. while this action is not crime, it has ethical implication because a supervisor may seems to favor or deny privilege to a subordinate under certain circumstances in their relationship. It is also create an hostile environment to other subordinate watching the relationships. That is why some company policy recommend resignation or transfer for any of the people concerned. If a student has gotten to the age of consent and want to date a lecturer who is not in his/her department or have direction supervision over, then the law should allow it because what the law seeks to protect is abuse of position or power to favor or deny privilege. It should not stop a lecturer from marrying a student that have come of age.

The question should be: What is the age of consent in Nigeria? Do we want different state to have their age of consent? Right now, the northern part of Nigeria is afraid to go into this conversion because of early child marriage which should all be termed abuse. You see why the legislation is biased?

They retake it until they’re deemed qualified to progress, that does not mean they’re not intelligent. You and Sefa2018 have points in your argument. GRE and SAT, basically any standardized exams including WAEC and licensing exam are levelers that must be taken into account. If you have done something to change lives and organize extramural reading classes to children in your community or have a youtube video to discuss mathematics or your country's economy, you could earn your admission with funding. The University wants to have a diverse class to boast their academic, social, and leadership records, but the test shows the ability to cope with the class rigor.

The truth is that until recent dissolution of APC NWC, the governors who supported one of their own, Adams Oshiomole, got the shorter end of the stick in 2019 elections. Unfortunately, under Oshiomole their influence continued to wane from failure of their intervention in Ambode's case to that of Obaseki. It was obvious that APC secretariat tilted towards Tinubu, giving him undue advantage even before 2023 comes. Other interests fought back. The situation became so untidy with conflicting court rulings. Many blamed the president for aloofness and he acted decisively. Unfortunately Oshiomole being human, played himself into an ambush and down, he went with entire NWC.

Therefore, this recent dissolution of NWC has little to do with ascendancy of CPC bloc but, very much, with re-assertion of the fact that governors are the decisive factor in Nigerian party politics. Naturally, it will more difficult for Tinubu to enthrone his favourite as chairman again but he, sure, has a way of getting around.

A little of shock for you. I may be wrong but I do have a strong feeling that Asiwaju Tinubu was privy to Buhari's move to dissolve APC NWC yesterday and may have made inputs. Evidence: His statement the previous night calling on APC members "to rally round President Buhari". Second, his governors and loyalists attended. Third, there is no way some people would be contacted to be part of APC CTC without it leaking.

You are very correct. I live in US. You can find a good 55 inches smart TV for $275. The TV should be far more expensive in the US than Africa because the company is producing for Africa market with less tax and cost of labor. This very price is a rip off

hahaha, I understand your point. But even Oshiomhole was dragged because of forged O-level by Airevbere that contested him during his second election and dragged to court. The general rumour that went round that he settled all of Airevbere election spending to the tune of N2 Billion. That is how wasteful and ambitious politicians are. O-level seems to be more difficult in their days and no help from any miracle school. Pass in a subject was just okay. Then, third class was valuable. Right Second Class Lower is frown upon. Even with higher grade, the overall standard of education has fallen.

In terms of education and uprightness, who would you judge to be more reliable between Oshiomhole and Obaseki? Search your mind deeply. Oshiomhole gives in quickly to lies and braggings. That is not a hallmark of good leadership.
