I would like to remind the mods that there are ongoing pressure from Western countries trying to insert homose.xuality as a democratic principle protected under civil rights guidelines and they are actively seeking platforms through which this abomination will be legalized in developing countries. Just yesterday two middle aged men came close to being lynched to death in Kaduna for luring and using false incentives to have se.x with teenage boys. Politicians must constantly be reminded of the stark difference between heterose.xual and homose.xual and what it means for our society. I therefore urge you to keep this post here in politics section, it has a legitimate political content. Do not listen to any call to delete or remove it. https://www.nairaland.com/1433196/miley-cyrus-unclad-wrecking-ball#18022525 |
President Jonathan is not a professional politician and neither is he a natural born leader; his odd utterances is a revelation of his incompetence in mantle of leadership. It is hard to explain how he rose through the ranks from deputy governor, to governor, then vice president and now president. In the den of top-class, high-heat Yoruba politics GEJ, if he was Yoruba, would not have won an LG councillor seat, much more be a deputy governor over a Yoruba State. Even our women politicians at LG level are much better administrators than GEJ in Presidency. It is repulsive hearing the President give credit to his party for the democratic process and victories in Nigeria. If he was Yoruba his political instinct would have instructed him to thank "the people" and acknowledge their sacrifice and fortitude to make democracy work. The People are wary of resting hope on a "goodluck", they want competent leadership. |
Ngwakwe: You mean that I should stoop so low to generalising and profiling a people for crime of few individuals that are not representative of the people nor prevalent with them but universal. In everything else and in everyway you are proud of Alaba. You cannot define their gain as ibo ingenuity but then run away from their failure as individual criminality. This money laundry syndicate is part of Alaba ingenuity - the much touted igbo industrialization of producing and circulating fake and substandard products. Your action is even worse than that of a money launderer. Cover your face in shame! |
Why is an ex governor getting pension? |
Ngwakwe: 1. Please post on topic always. Don't derailNgwakwe, Why do ibos have leaders in Lagos and allow the image of your nationality to be tarnished by unscrupulous elements? Its not an individual racket, its a syndicate network oprrating in Alaba market. As long people like this put money above tribe and they are cheered, ibo collectively will bear the brunt of the insult. |
Matter of fact, i change my mind. Footbal is on, let me go watch Eagles whip Redskins. |
First and foremost, INEC should be changed to PNEC -Partisan National Electoral Commission. Now, let me scroll up and read what this insicere nigerian has posted. |
Obi, get ready, another one coming through for reunion. ![]() Are there no Ibo elders in Lagos to call these guys to order and save them from collective embarassments? |
ngozievergreen: which part of SW is beta dan SE?"better than" is a generic and is not a good way to compare achievements and concrete developments. What indices would you like to use to rank these states? Let us know, the reports are available we will present. |
Just like that! |
sexkillz: ^Is that why you're pouring spit on me?Dude, these romance nonsense followed you here. If you don't tell these romantic cassanovas to stay out of here I will seal your shop in Idumota. Make sure your storekeeper has tax receipts ready to show when my collectors show up. ![]() |
This is politics section for God's sake! Sexkillz you are sleeping on the job. ![]() How do i sell this to my constituency in Isale-Eko? https://www.nairaland.com/1432231/beyonce-first-boyfriend-losing-beyonce#18005142 |
Goddex: Well well well. . . Lagos made modest improvement from third to fourth worst city to live in in the world. This ranking coming after 14yrs of ACN at the helm with billions of dollars in loans and internally generated revenue not to talk of huge federally allocated revenue.Ol boy, Lagos never make all these improvements wey you list and see how everybody all over East dey pack their belongings and relocating in, including their governors. Can you imagine if these developments were made and the city is running smoother, even feather-band traditional rulers will abandon their domain and relocate to Lagos. |
Sincere 9gerian: Answer the question, you hypocrite. Can you recommend Fela's personal lifestyle to your children? We are discussing national issues and you degrade it with personal choice. Fela's lifestyle was not a recommendation from his parents, their desire for him was to practice medicine (or law, whichever it was), but he chosed to go in to music. They did not disown him, they loved him. My desire for my children is to be successful with good moral upbringing and Oduduwa gene that they can carry forward successively. If they choose to emulate Fela's lifestyle I will still love them and be proud of them. Next question please... |
take dat: Nasir's mom is Fulani and not Yoruba. She is an aunt to the Emir of Ilorin, and the Gambari's are fulani. Nasir is not the heir apparent!1. Calling Emir of Ilorin Fulani is like saying Akiolu in Lagos is Bini and not Yoruba. 2. Nasir's mother is unrelated to Gambari family and is not the Emir's aunt. 3. There are two sons, Nasiru and Sanusi, they both go with Ado on public functions and were both with him on the day of this attack and were injured. Out of the two, Nasiru is the only one that represents when Ado is not available for State functions. As protocol, Nasiru, The Turaki of Kano, is like a Duke of Edingburgh, and would normally sit next to the Emir in public but he never rides with him in the Limousine. No one rides with Ado in his Limo! The spread of his robes will make it inconvenient for a co-occupant in back seat, plus he carries his staff inte car with him. The chauffer, the guard in front and Ado, these are the only occupants in that Limo. So where was Nasiru? He was in a jeep sitting next to Sanusi. The jeep was bulletproofed. Two persons were earmarked for assassination that day, Sarki Ado and Turaki. The attack plot succeeded but the elimination of the persons failed. |
The suspended census chairman, Odimegwu, had a similar encounter with someone in Niger State who was very truthful and exposed wrongdoings in his LG relating to headcount. The chairman gave this guy a job as an aide.. I would like Jimoh to be similarly rewarded. If we genuinely want to clean up we should make people like this models of national character. |
^^^ I agree. In addition to that and for exact same reason tabled above, I ask that all threads of similar content or topics in defamation of FFK should be deleted. |
The reason these governors are trooping to Abuja is simple to see. I cannot elaborate it here without juxtapositioning with events in West and informing on the political legacy of each zone. Such critical analysis, beautiful and truthful as it would be, is not ideal for the eyes in Nairaland. |
Caleboha: Go and ask Fela. Stop boring everyone!Fela was a voice of conscience, a social commentator and awakener. His voice galvanized student protests and labour protests in the 80s. We need voices like his to help awaken bored minds like yours. ![]() |
If Fela was alive I wonder what he would say about the current govt and the affairs of things in the country. What would he call GEJ, how would he title a album on GEJ govt and what would the album design look like?
|
DivideUs: Nonsense story, so because his mother is yoruba you think people will care? Kwankwoso the Gov (that has the power to change the emir) is also yoruba, did the fulanis stop/fight him as the governor. The propaganda machine under this govt is simply disgusting, spitsLol. ![]() |
A STANDSTILL! ![]() Something caught my attention: National Mirror gathered that the relocation of Akpabio’s family to LagosRelocation, also known as moving, is the process of vacating a fixed location (such as a residence or business) and settling in a different one. A move can be to a nearby location within the same neighborhood, a much farther location in a different city, or sometimes a different country. It usually includes packing up all belongings. Is she from Lagos, or is this another one of those East is too competitive scenario? |
Don't mind them. The bigots cooking up this story obviously do not know the root history of kano ppl, majority of whom do not discriminate because they themselves are in fact settlers, its no brainer that they have elected non-indigenes as their governors, among them: Sabo Bakin Zuwo, Ibrahim Shekarau, even the present Kwankwaso is allegedly mixed with Yoruba. Kano ppl are more open minded and accomodating than they are given credit for, where they may have issues with others is when their culture & values are disrespected e.g. by some southern brothers & sisters.
The Fulanis are not only blocking the thrones from Fulani/Yoruba blood-mix, they are aware of an increased agitation by the Hausas to reclaim their land and so they do not respond amicably to a Fulani/Hausa heir either. |
Balderdash, hogwash, absolute rubbish, baseless lies. Genealogy/inheritance in Hausaland is determined through the father irrespective of the mother's bloodline. Nasiru along with his other brothers and other eligible princes has a very good chance of becoming emir, his Yoruba blood being absolutely no hindrance to the selection process, which is determined by a group of traditional electorate known as the kingmakers. Only those who are cooking this rubbish know why they are doing so. BTW, the Hausa and Fulani have no problem between them, culturally or religiously, thank you.
Thank you o jare! Abokina, He is not the first Fulani prince mixed with Yoruba blood and wont be the last, Insha Allah. |
dgitrader: slave and slavemaster politikings!Jealousy dey eat your liver. ![]() As you can see, relationships can be sustained outside of a corporate Nigeria. In ancient times societies ally and maintain international exchanges through intimate channells. The breakup of Nigeria is not a threat to West, we have natural allies, our feet is supplanted in thrones outside our domain. |
The bottom line of this problem is "Customer Service". At the point of exchange or "needs" customer service is a social interface and the experience of the interaction goes a long way to shape our response, consciously or otherwise. Customer service can be branded as a social value and it can be marketed as a value differentiator between competing brands or offerings. We should look at customer service from culutral perspective to better understand the negative impacts you enumerated in your opening post. Let's divide customer service into two buckets, we call one "native" and the other "imported". A. Native Customer Service will be that which we experience at traditional African "points of sale" or "transaction". Their protocol is very "informal" but expected to be highly ethical. They will include the following: 1. Destination purchase. Making a trip to a market stall to buy, trade or exchange. 2. Impulsive purchase Making an improptu stop to buy product from a roaming hawker or a fixed corner stall. 3. Scheduled delivery A soliciting retailer that makes home delivery/distribution rounds on scheduled days. B Imported Customer Service. This is the borrowed Western way of giving service in our communities. They are very "formal" and expected to be highly ethical and include the following: 1. Destination point. Going to a bureaucracy, bank, institution to obtain social service or register for social service or needs. 2. Intermediary point. Using a service as a bridge to attain something else. Like bus transportation, buying ticket, using ATM and son on. 3. Ported service. Using a service brought from elsewhere for delivery into our community. Like water fountain, polling booths and so on. You will agree that there is nothing under the "native" category that requires queueing to get served. Everything under the "imported" category require queueing to get service. Why is this? We will talk more to explore the reasons. |
A man, Oderinde Joel and his wife are currently in police net after a Fulani herdsman, Aliu Abdulahi was shot to death by Joel for allegedly raping his wife on Saturday, August 24.One Abdulahi Audu, who resides at Okaka village, Sawo, Iseyin, in Oke ogun area of Oyo State, was said to have reported at Iseyin police station on Sunday, August 25, that one of his workers, Abdulahi, who was helping him to rear his cows was killed by Joel. It was gathered that the Divisional Police Officer sent detectives to the scene and the body of the deceased was moved to General Hospital, Iseyin, for autopsy, while the dane gun used in killing the herdsman was also recovered. The suspect was reported to have admitted shooting the deceased when his wife raised the alarm on the farm that the deceased accosted her and forcefully raped her.Crime Reports learnt that the pellets of the gun penetrated the deceased from the back, which was an indication that he was trying to run away from the suspect. Confirming the story, the State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olabisi Ilobanafor, said the case had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku, for further investigation. WORRIED by the murder of its members in some parts of Oke Ogun area of Oyo state, the Fulani community in the state yesterday called on Governor Abiola Ajimobi to urgently intervene and stop the crisis. |

ilugunboy: Mods..please remove this thread from the politics section... naptu2: Moderators should please move this thread away from the politics section because there's nothing political about it (I also suspect that the creator of the thread is attempting to break rule 5). https://www.nairaland.com/1429411/man-bites-off-girlfriends-clit ![]() These "exposures" followed sexkillz from his cave in romance section to his beach front in politics section. Exposures like that are abusive and highly toxic and a war must be fought to separate them from esteemed politicians in here but rather than do that we are waging war against tribalism and love-of-self-above-others, a much more needed content to percolate and stir the emotions of honorable politicians and thereby arouse their innate sense of pack mentality and territorial protection. As a politician, what benefit does a bitten off clit add to my town hall meeting in the constituency where people are desiring fair and balanced representation? None! Moreso that the clit has been detached. Id give it consideration if the owner still had it in its erectable pinky state. ![]() |
