That guy is a yorubaa nah...any feat ascribed to Igbos, worries them like ogogoro! Very envious people!
No one ascribe feat to Igbo but what you people ascribe to yourself, three quarters of it lies and embellishment.

Chinua Achebe started the movement to change your tribal identity from Ibo to Igbo. He was ambitious in claiming role for yanmiri in the Moremi classic and connecting Ibo to Ile-Ife. He was successful in renaming your tribe but attempt to connect Ugbo referenced in the classic with your tribe failed. The aim collapsed when historians and anthropologists pointed that the Ugbo mentioned in the classic is a native Yoruba people now domiciled in Ondo, and not yanmiri.

Another Igbo embellisher is Catherine Acholonu. Wherever greatness of Yoruba or other noble tribes is mentioned in African classics, Acholonu invented a parallel for Ibo and insert it in revisions. If it became known tomorrow that ancient Yorubas travelled on two wheeled chariots in the 16th century, within two years you can bet that Ibo will reveal they rode chariots too and with publications, written by no one but Ibo, to support the falsehood.

Your purported greatness is what is self-claimed, opposed to discovery made by independent outsiders engaged in historical research digging up antiquities on Ibo greatness.

Bunch of frauds! angry

Sunnynwa:
"Frederick Forsyth, who knew Emeka well, wrote that he had a handsome allowance from his father, which enabled him to dress in the most elegantly-cut suits and drive a series of newest and fastest British sports cars in the early 1950s. He was observed by contemporaries to be seldom out of the company of a string of very attractive young women. ‘Then there were the parties, the weekend trips to London and the high life of the capital. It was probably the social life that cost him a place in the Oxford Rugby team in his final year. He made his place as wing three-quarter in the Lincoln College team, and as a sprinter was selected to pace the great Jamaican runner Macdonald Bailey.’ His father visited Britain at this time and purchased a Rolls-Royce, his first such vehicle. Emeka suggested that the car really ought to be ‘run in’ and that he was the best person to do this. ‘In this manner he became the only student at Oxford to be observed driving to and from lectures at the wheel of a gleaming Rolls-Royce. One of his tutors so admired the vehicle that he was for ever wanting a ride in it. Soon they were to be seen cruising around in the Rolls together, Emeka having his tutorials on the move, and visiting quite a few outlying public houses whenever the strain became too much.
It was during his time at Oxford that Emeka began to undergo a transformation that had never been envisaged by his masters at Epsom or his tutors at Oxford. As an undergraduate, he joined the West African Students Union and became increasingly aware of African nationalism and his own African-ness. This totally eclipsed the sense of bewilderment and loneliness that he experienced when he first arrived as a fourteen year old boy at Epsom, and found himself, as he put it, ‘lost in a sea of white faces.’ Together with three other Oxford Nigerians he swore an oath to dedicate himself on his return to the service of the Nigerian people rather than to the search for personal advancement. Arriving back in Nigeria, and very much against his father’s wishes, he joined the Nigerian army, hoping to play an integral part in his country’s affairs once Nigeria had gained independence from Britain. In October 1960 independence was gained, but Nigeria at that time was a country fractured by tribal differences, with the Hausas in the north, the Yorubas in the west and the Biafrans in the east. Emeka thought the role of the army would be a unifying one, providing a continuing stability behind the world of politics without actually being involved in the political arena, although subsequent events were to prove him wrong. He returned to England in 1958 and entered the Officer Cadet School at Eaton Hall and then the Infantry School at Warminster. In 1962 he attended the Army Staff College at Latimer before returning to Nigeria where he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, commanding the 5th Battalion and eventually becoming Quartermaster General of the Nigerian Army, the first Nigerian to hold that post.
On 15 January 1966 a cadre of junior army officers, most of them Ibo, toppled Nigeria’s postindependence government. Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto, Premier of Northern Nigeria, and Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Prime Minister of Nigeria were assassinated. Although Emeka was not involved in this coup, he was appointed military commander of the Eastern
Region."

PoliticsRe: The Inspirational Story Of Sir Louis Ojukwu by MayorofLagos(m): 3:13am On Jun 19, 2016
There is an Act in US called the SOX ACT. Here it is...

The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (often shortened to SarbOx or SOX) is legislation passed by the U.S. Congress to protect shareholders and the general public from accounting errors and fraudulent practices in the enterprise, as well as improve the accuracy of corporate disclosures.

In principle this Act says if you audit the accounts of a public company and you have spent days going through paperwork and numbers and checked off a long list of items with no problem but close to end of work you find one item that does not add up however much you try, the auditor is compelled and authorized by law to dismiss all the items already checked and start all over, scrutinizing every item from to bottom. If this is not done the auditor is liable and can be prosecuted as accessory to fraudulent practice.

Mayor is reading Sir Ojukwu's profile and came upon this shenanigan here....

Sir Ojukwu was so rich that in 1956 when the Queen visited Nigeria, the British authorities had to borrow his Rolls Royce and personal driver to chauffeur the Queen around. Sir Louis was also a financial pillar of Ziks NCNC party and when the party came to power in 1960

Who da fvk told you Ojukwu had a Rolls Royce, or that NCNC belonged to Zik?

Anyway, Mayor is reporting for duty, ready to comply with SOX and scrutinize this public figure's profile, one by one untill all the credits attributed to Sir Ojukwu are validated, otherwise if I turn a blind eye I could be accused of being an accessory to fraudulent activity in Nairaland. grin grin

PoliticsRe: “We Want Grazing Reserves In The North Only” - Tambuwal by MayorofLagos(m): 12:24pm On Jun 10, 2016
Southerners have zero insight. Im beginning to agree that Northerners, with their lag in academic credentials, are far more educated and wiser than Southerners.

A Northerner came to South and spit nonsense in our face and we cheered him.

The Northerners understand the concept of Social Engineering and they employ tactics to surbordinate us, politically, militarily, se.xu.ally, economically.

They used to cut us on their soil in the North, now they bring tools down South to cut us on our own soil. To make a statement that they own us, they perch on our women and use their body. Then they revisit, over and over and repeat the act.

When we respond with tongue lash they tell us their action is justified, and threaten more attacks.

When the heat grows and it appears we are ready to take an action not in their favor...like kicking Northerners out or killing them in retaliation....they send one of their political bigwigs to bring ointmen and balm to rub and soothe our pains. They employ words and articulation peppered with diplomacy and they tell us things they know we want to hear, lies that do not in any way match their actions and schemes....words like Grazing ground will only be in the North. In response....we CHEER and PRAISE the Northern diplomat for his civility.

He never talked about why his muslim brothers ra.pe women in Southern farms. An act forbidden in Islam. He never talked about why his brothers carry unlicensed weapons....an act forbidden by our constitution. But he reminds us that constitution guarantees his parallel army to go anywhere in Nigeria that they want.

Soon as he returns home, the next batch of gun and r.a.pe assault will be launched...to cut us some more and weaken our will into surbodination.

...but let me give Tambuwal a slack and flow along and pretend that this is a good speech.

In reality what he is saying is that they plan to install grazing routes and ranches in North only.

What they truly have on drawing board and you did not hear him voice out is....they will do the project in stages, first in North, thereafter in South.

They disarm us and while we are relaxed in our opposition they institute grazing and ranches in North.

Very soon they will need to expand. In what direction do we think the expansion will go? Of course to South!

Who can stop their expansion...when we can't stop the guarantee they claim under constitution to be anywhere and practice business free of discrimination on our soil? It will be unconstitutional to deny them grazing rights in South after they are allowed to institute it legally in North. Do you all graduate and post graduate Southerners not see far ahead into Tambuwal's scheme? Stop cheering and start opposing grazing anywhere under jurisdiction of Nigerian Constitution, North or South.

grin grin

Can Lagos government and the Lagos Yorubas be a little bit more civilized and ''shofisticated'' in such business matters? Why not appoint recognized and corporate entities to collect these levies? Or better still automate the system so that fees and levies are paid to a bank account? Why use touts and illiterates to intimidate legit business people?

And the traders, can you not get yourselves organized and approach the government with a request to do things the right way? Can you not pay these levies directly to a Lagos Govt bank account? You are too big to allow illiterate uncouth touts to razzle you every now and then.

You all (Lagos govt, Lagos touts, and Ladipo traders) are a bunch of clowns in your zoo of a country. You can never get anything right.

Politics#mythbuster On NoI by MayorofLagos(op): 12:12am On Feb 22, 2016
I have done about four mythbusters here so far since we started the series about two years ago. There were two other ones in the making and we found that completing them could be detrimental to families and relatives of the subjects so we backed off.

My muthbusters are a breakthrough and flawless, I shatter myths gained through urban popularity and bring to forth, with indisputable evidence and references, a truthful version of personality and character.

No One, I repeat, No One has yet been able to dispute or find flaws in my mythbusters. I don't start a serial unless Ive done my homework and get the thumbs up from my field team.

There is a lot of myth sorrounding NOI. I have files and files of print materials and even academic and career records that are the opposite of what is known of her acclaim.

Certain people are positioning Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun as a failure and should be eliminated. The base of their argument is on the principle of greatness attributed to NOI. Well, what kind of person is NOI?

One of the aborted mythbuster series was about someone (name withheld) who gave a speech in village and it was reported in print media with great accolades pointing to this subject's background as one of wealth and taste, a calculated move designed to hide the source of his sudden wealth and swollen bank account. The bust was stopped through intervention from a very highly placed politician in my state whose younger brother is one of my field partners in fact finding and the politician accidentaly stumbled on our draft in posession of his brother.

A #mythbuster on NOI is appropriate and necessary to clear myths about this urban legend.

cool

This your statement is a problem for me on many levels.

Look at the history of people OBJ has imposed on Nigerians when he is not in power.

Shagari, Yar'adua, GEJ.... And you want to bring up Ngozi.

They usually have one K-leg or the other from incompetence, illness or lack of integrity. OBJ looks for those he feels he can control because he identifies their weaknesses.

If you read OBJ's statement in his book where he brought up Ngozi as VP, he made a comment about her weaknesses that needed a firm leader to manage.

VPs are supposed to be leaders that can lead on their own without any management from a firm leader if the need arises. OBJ disqualified Ngozi with that statement.

Finally, the same OBJ sacked her as his Finance Minister.
