Deep Sight:
It is very well and fine if you do not see anything about you that points to God. Although I am tempted to add that the intricacy of the mental faculty that permits you to have thoughts (i:e your brain) is a staggering pointer.

Nonetheless let us frame it this way:

Everything you see around you is a pointer to the nature of - -> - - > - - > [Whatever caused things to exist]

Just as: the fruits borne by a tree are a pointer to the nature of - -> - - > - - > - - > - - > - - > - - > [The Tree]

You are at liberty to define the words contained in the brackets to suit your worldview. I define it as God. You may define it as a prebiotic soup, or a singularity, or the big bang, or Alex Ferguson. You are entitled.
Typical deist arguments. . . grin grin. . .I'll be back to address them later. . . .

noetic16:
grin grin you need to stop getting bitter and go for some bible lessons grin

1. Ola did not call Obama the BEAST, he only called him Anti-Christ. Obama remains an anti-Christ just like u (Mazaje) are. The bible clearly defines an anti-Christ, and just like Obama u (mazaje) also fit the description. The literal meaning of anti-Christ remains one against Christ. would Christ have encouraged homosexuality?
Sure i understood what he was saying. . . .

2. what does the allowance of spiritual abominations have to do with civilisation?
What is this? That is why I have stated so many times that religion inhibits a person's moral growth and development. . . . .Religious based ethics or moral is always based on the "us versus them" or "We versus the world" idea as I aforementioned. The religious moral or ethics is always predicated on this very shaky platform. . . .Religion is actually stunting people's ability to fully understand real ethics by giving people false ideas about ethics. Aside from those kinds of meta-ethical issues, religion also gives people horrible normative ethical principles on issues ranging from freedom of speech, women's rights, child indoctrination and abuse, and gay rights which is the topic of discussion here. . .Secular ethics remain the BEST because it is comprehensive and tries to involve every body, The best societies and the most ethical societies in the world today are secular societies NOT religious societies. . . .America and Europe will not be as developed as much as they have if their societies had not thrown away the religious laws that used to guide them and developed secular laws. . .American and Europe will still have been like Africa or the Middle east if their laws were based on 'spiritual abominations". . . . .

u talk of America moving forward, how does that have to do with homosexuality? is homo a natural incidence? does it tally with the secular laws of nature?
They have moved forward ethically since they have now fully accepted gays as part of them. . . .They have moved on to the extent that they now have a black man as their president something that could not have happened 200 years ago. . . .Do you really believe that a heterosexual can just become gay over night? Homosexualism exists even in the animal kingdom and it is well known, for example the prophet of Islam(Mohammed) says that any sheep or animal that is found engaging in homosexual activity should be killed and its meat is not supposed to be eaten. . . . .Do animals chose to be gays?. . . . . .

There is nothing I see around me that points to any God, I see people and what they have created(cultures, systems, societies etc), plants, animals, rivers, mountains, natural phenomena, etc etc etc. . . . . .I don't see anything that points to any God. . . .Unless if you are saying that your God is nature and some of the things that men created . . . .

OLAADEGBU:
From the White House website we read:

"NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim June 2010 as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month.  I call upon all Americans to observe this month by fighting prejudice and discrimination in their own lives and everywhere it exists.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-eighth day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand ten, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-fourth."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/presidential-proclamation-lesbian-gay-bisexual-and-transgender-pride-month

Are people justified when they say this man is an antichrist or not?
SHUT UP!!. . . .The developed world has moved past your stone aged morality that is predicated on the "us versus them" mentality, that is why a black man has been able to become the president of the USA. . . .I doubt if a black man can ever become the president of the USA if most Americans reason like you. . . . We are not living in the biblical times where Yahweh instructs people to stone to death their disobedient children, stone to death people that have intimacy out of wedlock or with the member of the same sex or give injuctions on how people are to enslave each other or sacrifice people unto him.  . . . .The world has moved on and in places like America your religious beliefs are in their waning days. . . . .Deal with that and stop whining over nothing. . . .

As for the myth of the anti christ read the bible again, the name "antichrist" is only found in 1 John 2:18, and even in the bible it says that the anti christs had already come, no?. . . .

1 John 4:1-3 says, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world."

This passage was written over a thousand years old and according to the passage the anti christ or his spirit was already in the world. . . . .What the passage is simply saying is that people that go around saying that Jesus did not come into the world in the flesh(as a man) are the anti Christ, Even back in the days there were so many people that do not agree that Jesus came into the world as the christians claim, so the letter was directed towards those making such claims and the author tagged them as the anti christ. . .But as usual you end of day enthusiast have taken the passage out of context and gave it a meaning and life of its own to feed your delusions. . . .

I find it ridiculous when people talk about Gods word, God''s love, God's plans and how God operates yet maintain that God is unknownable. . . . . .Isn't that speaking from both sides of your mouth?. . .
Christianity Etc › Re: The Evolution Myth And The ‘God Question' by mazaje(m): 12:43pm On Jun 11, 2010
@ Mad max

I find it hypocritical when christians say that they believe in evolution, I was very suprised when I came to europe and discovered that most of the christians here believe in evolution, If you disregard the creation story in genesis 2 (Adam and Eve) and accept that humans evolve from a common ancestor with other apes, then why do you believe other stories in the bible? Why accept the Jesus story and disregard the genesis story? In what part of the evolution theory does it talk about God being responsible for the evolution of anything?. . . .

We keep hearing the claim that the bible is not a science book, but the problem is the bible was written to be taken as a true account of things that the writers thought however wrong they might be. . . . .Most of the people I know in europe will quickly tell you that the creation accounts in the bible is a myth or not factual but will still maintain that the God of the bible created the universe. How so?. . . .Isn't that talking from both side of your mouth?. . . .

Christianity Etc › Mysterious God And God's Will by mazaje(op): 8:34am On Jun 11, 2010
What is it with prayers and God's will, What is it with God being mysterious? It seems people just love bandying things that makes no sense even to themselves. The God's will hypothesis and God work's in a mysterious ways hypothesis are examples of such. . . .I will begin with the God's will hypothesis . . . . . Some thing personal just happened that has me wondering why people make endless excuses to themselves instead of just accepting reality as it is. . . .You hear answers like "Never mind how God responds to your prayer. May his will always be done".

If that is the case then why bother praying at all? If people believe that their God is going to do whatever he's going to do, what's the point? Are people praying to their God so that he might change his mind about his already perfect will with regards to their lives since they believe their God has a plan and exerts his will with regards to everything about them?. . . .

What is this elusive will of God that people keep banying around? Well since God's will isn't any body's concern, or at least, unknowable to any body. Why pray to God since he has his will that people believe is perfect and he alone can has the right to do what ever he wants with his will? Are people trying to change the will of an already perfect God when they pray to their God for help or protection against danger or a good fortune for example?. . . . .

The next one is that God is mysterious. . . . .I love it when people pull out the "unknowable" card. You hear it all the time as a response when they are being questioned and cannot produce a valid retort. Its always used to explain absurdity away. . . .

Atheist: If X is true, then how can God exist? Or if Y is true then why does God not do Z since according to you God is all good, all loving, all powerful, all knowing etc
Theist: God works in mysterious ways! God is unknowable!
Atheist: But you just offered me a 1500 page book which you say is the word of God in addition to 2 pamphlets, and a 5-disc DVD set with "everything I need to know about God!" You sure claim to know quite a bit about this "unknowable" being.
Theist: God is mysterious and I hope he opens your eyes to the truth so that you get to know him through his words.
Atheist: You just said God is mysterious and unknowable now you are telling me that I can know God through his word.
Theist: Yes God is mysterious and unknowable but you can know him through his words, read the books and watch the DVD to know God's will and plan for us.
Atheist: God is mysterious and unknowable but I can get to know him through is words ehhuh huh. . . .Runs away laughing at the mental gymnastics and confusion. . . . . .
Politics › Re: Why North Should Produce President In 2011? by mazaje(m): 6:54pm On Jun 10, 2010
The north should not produce the next president, even though I am a northerner I accept that reality is more important than my wishful thoughts. Nigeria is it is now is a country where a GREAT majority of the people presently vote mostly according to religious and ethnic lines, so rotational presidency is the only way all the major tribes or regions can rule and feel that they are also a part of the system since we have foolishly convinced ourselves that having a man from our religion or region mounting the presidency is more important than good governance or development. . . .The north can rule for the next 4 years but the Igbo's should also be given a chance else GJ should continue. . . . .Personally I think GJ will be good for Nigeria. . . .
