The problem with your stand is that as far as you are concerned, the Bible should not be allowed to prove from itself, that it is authentic. That stance, to me, is akin to not allowing an accused person to speak for himself or to have access to a lawyer. The fact remains that a lot of things, both archaeological findings, as well as world history corroborate a lot of what is said in the bible. if you would be as reasonable enough as to give the bible a fair hearing instead of just dismissing it, that would show that you are really interested in finding out whether it is authentic.

I am not here to ridicule any body, I just want to understand something about how your belief system functions. What exactly is this personal relationship with God thingy? I just don't get it, all Christians profess some kind of personal relationship with their God, yet all I see around me is people self projecting themselves as God and dishing out their PERSONAL opinions every where. It was by free will that Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit and saw the wrath of God, it was by freewill that persons in the generation of Noah refused to enter the ark or believe his gospel for repentance. It was by freewill that people chose to believe John the Baptist and get baptised by him.

The plan B of God for all men is to come to the saving knowledge of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. He however gave us the liberty or freewill to come or not to.
Can one know the will of God concerning ones life? Yes we can. through the scriptures and revelations from God.
In my own case, I know the will of God concerning my life which has been revealed to me through several visions and revelations. I do not necessarily agree with the plan of God for me, but as an humble and obedient servant, I choose to let the will of God on me prevail. Just like Christ did and gave up His life at the will of the Father.

Mazaje, I have repeatedly told u that u dont understand the meaning of prayer. Prayer is not an incantation u make to a magician for a request. Prayer is an incessant communication between two persons in a relationship (man and God). Prayer is a connection line between these two persons.

Take for instance, I as a person, I do pray a lot. but what are the things I pray for? 90% of the time I just worship, praise and meditate in His words. 9% of the time I pray for others, and the remaining 1% I pray for myself. Infact I hardly pray for myself or make any demands or requests for myself from God unless He asks me to.
why do I not make requests from God? Its not that I dont have personal impending challenges, I do have serious challenges, but whenever I look around I see God working through this challenges to establish me as the general He has called into His kingdom. I know for a fact that no single event happens in my life outside of the knowledge of God, So I always have a hard time making a request to God.

ehmn . . . .FYI the Christian ideology has never proposed a Christian state (at least not in this dispensation) so how did we come to the religious state versus non-religious state issue. also anti-religion has NEVER been the basis of development in ANY society. If Obama had openly called himself an atheist or muslim, would he have been elected president? Nope.
