I don't think anyone is talking about corruption being a government problem in Nigeria. The issue is the fact that in Nigeria the high level of "spirituality", church and mosque attendance, numerous night vigils seems to have done nothing to improve the quality of life in the country. In fact paradoxically the country is still one of the highest ranked worldwide in terms of corruption! How do you explain this? This is why I said I would even prefer a country full of right thinking, conscientious atheists to this disgrace of a system we run.

Summary is that, you can only fool those who want to be fooled. I choose not to believe such stories that have no head or tail and relies only on metaphysical proof to prove it exists. What stops me from believing hell is a place where you share candies and loads of icecream. As long there is no tangible proof, every other excuse or theory is a hoax, illusion, apparition, imaginary and totally false and should be roundly denounced and counternanced by all reasonable men!

You have said it all, even some of the rational christain apologist are finding the idea of hell ridicilous and are tying to make it sound sensible and reasonable these days by postulating that it is not a place of eternal torment.

Before I go on giving you tips for good parenting, I see the need to give a contextual definition of the term Parenting. For this purpose, I see parenting as "Hold me by the hand instructions which parents give to their ward(s) while they do what you your do" Enhhh! Ya you read right. This goes a long way to tell you that children/wards learn faster by sight than by instructions. Here comes the tips:

(1). Leadership by example: Successful parents are those that see wisdom in watching what they do in the presence of their children. Parents who Drink, Smoke, Quarrel, Watch Pornographic films in the presence of their children can never succeed in telling their children not to indulge in all these. No matter how hard they try. My advice is that parent should always live by example especially when the kids are around.

(2). Openness: This is one area that most parents tend to shy away from. There is I call "psychology of understanding" what this simply means is that people (including children) tend to understand us more when they have no reason to doubt our sincerity. This technique if applied well, will boost the confidence of children on their parent since they do not have any fear of hidden agenda on the part of the parents. They will equally confined in you (the parent) when they have any problem whatsoever.

(3). Creating a lovely and friendly atmosphere: If you observe, you will notice that children don't to pay attention to whatever you say or do when they are afraid. They hate being bullied especially by their parents. always make them feel at home around you. Please don't mistake being friendly with overlooking serious offences committed by your children. When they go wrong, take some disciplinary action on them making sure you clearly point out their offence to them. This will make them not to repeat it again.Tell him/her that you took this action because you care.

(4). In your busy schedule, squeeze out time to give them sound parental education: Parents are not suppose to leave the education of their children to the school teacher alone. The school teacher can only do the best he/she can. The truth remains that the bulk of the training lies on the parents. Issues such as Sex, Finance, Career, Moral Instructions, in my opinion are discussed better by parents with their children. This is not and will not be adequately treated by school teachers.

(5). Gifts/Rewards/Remembrances: There is no better way of getting children's attention than by touching their id and ego. An average Human being will have a sense of belonging when sincerely and genuinely appreciated. Buy them gifts on their birthdays even on your own birthday. Take them out at intervals. Especially when they achieve certain goals in their life.

The above tips should not be taken lightly if we really want to make our society a better place.
