It beats me too.
Smtimes when i'm alone,i jst count so many things i have seen/xperienced that proves der's God den i wonder why people still think There's no God.Dunno!Dunno!Dunno!

If there's one thing i'm sure of its GOD IS REAL,TOO REAL AND TOO ABVIOUS THAT NUTTIN CAN MAKE ME DOUBT.A final proof of that he's omnipotence is he doesn't have to exist before he saves us.

Jst a ques for Mazaje and cohort:What will you do when you die and find out there is a God?
I would respect your courage if you answer this ques without derailing it.
I will ask him/her why they allowed people to write the bible and manupulate it on their behalf, i will also ask them why they allowed so many religions to exist both in and out side the christain faith. i will ask them why they refused to reveal them selves to the billions of people living in asia and why they will all throw us in hell to burn in eternity simple because we don not believe in jesus . but hey what if i die and discover that allah is the supreme being? i will still ask him the same questions any way.

@jesoul
pls go anead and explain i am all ears and will listen to you intently.

They love to engage in endless, abstract, hypothetical, strange, controversial subjects based on endless speculations that usually lead to anger and strife. They seem incapable of accepting the fact that there are some things that cannot be explained, some things that just don't have an answer and cannot be "proven" as it leaves no room for faith which the bible tells us "is what we need in order to please God
there is nothing absract when i ask questions like why a loving , merciful and almighty god who refuses to reveal himself to the billions of people in indai, china, sri lanka, thialand, japan, bangledesh, taiwan etc in the bible because there is no mention of them and there is no biblical prohets amongst them even though they were in existance during the so called time of the bible prophets and jesus, will then burn them in hell for eternity simply they do not know or havent heard about jesus. does that make sense to you? how about the billions of moslems that do not know about jesus because they were born into the islamic religion, will they all rot in hell too?

who are the real chrianstains? are they the catholics(over 1 billion of them) , or the so many other sects of chriatainity(over 30 thousand sects) each fighting and knocking heads with each other. back in 2002 my pastor said that catholics and the white garmet wearing churches are not chriatains and for that they will all end up in hell. does that make sense to you.

if you were born in kano to a muslim family you would have been passoinately defending islam with the same vigor . if there is a god he won't depend on people to propagate his message he will do it him self, because people have failed completely in doing so.

These "debates" are only an exercise in self-worship, a time for them to showcase their self-ascribed 'intelligence', thinking they have somehow attained an intellectual prowess that they have out-smarted God and the bible.
1
have you read the history of the bible? why are there over 80 translation of the englsih bible alone, when did the bible become the bible? why are there some with 66 and other with more than 66 books. why is there the greek, aramic etc versions of the bible, why can't chriatains produce a universally acceptable book and doctorines? are jehova witness, seven day adventist, grail message, catholics etc christains? who wrote the first four books of the bible, it is written that moses did, moses can not write about his birth, death and events after his death. why is it still written that moses is the author of the first four books, if he is not really the author. why were there other books written by other apostels that were not included in the bible, who publish the 66 books of the bible and why did he publish only 66 books? martin luther did and he did it to suite his own understanding and promote his own agenda. was the bible 66 books 200 years before martin luther? the answer is no. it was much more than 66 books why is it now 66 in some version and about seventy in some? wihch one are people to believe? why is it that jesus is the only person in history who's name was changed from esau to jesus? why is it that people have to accapet jesus as his name? his name was never jesus because nobody with the name jesus ever existed in the time of esua, why is his name now jesus?

The books were said to be written by Moses, however, doesnt mean that he ended the book, he started and wrote most the book, but i am sure that someone else's wrote about the time he was gone.
Show me whre you get information that Noah's ark, i like people to give me facts and not just make a statement.
When the bible says snakes eating dust, not saying dust as in sand, so try to get info right be4 u say something is wrong.
you see all you do is try to give excuses, it was'nt said that he ended or began writting its believed and said that he wrote all for books thats why in some bibles you will see writtings like the first book of moses, the second book of moses etc, about the noah's ark what about animals like kangaros, koala, polar bears, walrus etc that are found in particular regions of the world? how can the male and female animals of the whole world fit into a boat of that size? what does the bible mean by snakes eating dust and by bats being birds? can you please explain to us? and why is there no mention of china , indai and the americas in the bible? why are there no prophets amongst them?
Christianity Etc › Re: Homosexuality And Christainity: What Is Your Position? by mazaje(m): 7:02pm On Aug 11, 2008
show me one thing in the bible that was wrong, just one.
According to the bible the books of genesis, exodus, leviticus and numbers were written by moses, that is not possible because moses can not write about his birth, death and things that happened long after he died so that is totally incorrect.

the noahs ark story is just a fable that is if you look at it with an objective mind.

snakes do not eat dust according to the bible they do which is also false there are sooo many but these are just the few i can come up with for now.

Christianity Etc › Re: Heaven As Written By A 17 Year Old Boy by mazaje(m): 5:42pm On Aug 11, 2008
chinweub:
This is excellent and really gets you thinking about what will happen in Heaven.

17-year-old Brian Moore had only a short time to write something for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. "I wowed 'em," he later told
his father, Bruce. It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the best thing I ever wrote." It also was the last.

Brian's parents had forgotten about the essay when a cousin found it while cleaning out the teenager's locker at Teays Valley High School in Pickaway County .

Brian had been dead only hours, but his parents desperately wanted every piece of his life near them, notes from classmates and teachers, and his
homework. Only two months before, he had handwritten the essay about encountering Jesus in a file room full of cards detailing every moment of
the teen's life. But it was only after Brian's death that Beth and Bruce Moore realized that their son had described his view of heaven.

It makes such an impact that people want to share it. "You feel like you are there," Mr. Moore said. Brian Moore died May 27, 1997, the day after
Memorial Day. He was driving home from a friend's house when his car went off Bulen-Pierce Road in Pickaway County and struck a utility pole.
He emerged from the wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted. .

Here is Brian's essay entitled "The Room."
Page 1

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which
stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings.

As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read "Girls I have liked." I opened it and began flipping through the
cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one. And then without being told, I knew exactly where I
was. This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense
of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named "Friends" was next to one marked "Friends I have betrayed." The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird. "Books I Have Read," "Lies I Have Told," "Comfort I have Given," "Jokes I Have Laughed at."

Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: "Things I've yelled at my brothers." Others I couldn't laugh at: "Things I Have Done in My Anger", "Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents." I never ceased to be surprised by the contents Often there were many more cards than expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped. I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the
life I had lived.

Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked "TV Shows I have watched," I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by the vast time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked "Lustful Thoughts," I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size, and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content. I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An almost animal rage broke on me.

One thought dominated my mind: No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!" In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards.

But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to
find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it. Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it. The title bore "People I Have Shared the Gospel With." The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key. But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.

No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't bear to watch His response. And in the moments I could bring myself to look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own. He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes.

Why did He have to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with me.

Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign His name over mine on each card. "No!" I shouted rushing to Him. All I could find to say was "No, no," as I pulled the card from Him. His name shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich, so dark, and so alive.

The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with His blood. He gently took the card back He smiled a sad smile and began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last file and walk back to my side. He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, "It is finished."

I stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door. There were still cards to be written.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

If you feel the same way forward it to as many people as you can so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also. My "People I shared the gospel with" file just got bigger, how about yours

PLEASE PASS THIS TO EVERY ONE YOU KNOW, CHRISTIAN OR NOT! "LET'S FILL OUR OWN FILE CARD" AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Nuttin but some things are better accepted the way they are being presented to you rather than askin yourself TOO many ques and seeking d origin of sm of those things hence getting yourself in a mess. One of those things is GOD!!
Der are some things we are not meant to know/can't understand no matter how much we try.

The friend should accept the things d bible tells him/her about God and not ask him/herself futher ques hence arriving at some silly conclusion and making sm unfavourable decisions.
Utter nonsense, thats why nigeria and nigerians are still living in abject poverty and squalour in the midst of of plenty, accept things the bible tells you even when the bible tells you utter nonsense like snakes eating dust, or bats are birds or that the male and female animals in the whole world entering a small boat? ohh people should not ask questions when the compliers and writers of the bible state things that are not possible like moses writing the first four books of the bible? how can moses write about his life and death and things that happened after his death? is that possible?people should not ask question as to why there are over 30,000 chriatains denominations each knocking heards with each other and over 80 different translation of the english version of the bible alone. people should not ask why a god that creates the whole world chooses to reveal himself to a choosen few, why did god not reveal himself to people living in china, indai and the americas in the bible? why are there no prophets amongst them? why were they not mentioned in the bible even though they were existing at that time. why would a god be jealous of his creatures? why does god have to tell people to fight and kill for the glory of his name in the old testament? if people like david and moses were alive today would they be considered as godly or war criminals? no wonder nigerians are still thirsty despite being placed in an ocean of resources by nature.

Mystics live by fear, they live their entire lives by fear, fear of good, fear of hell, fear of change, fear of doubt, kill the non believer. non sense, i live in a godless and religiousless country which is a hundered times better than nigeria in everything and the reason is that the people have learned to ask questions and the discovered the answers to their questions which is that ye are gods, and that man created god in his own image to give him comfort and help him answer things he does not and cannot understand and comprehend about life and death.

The problem is instead of answering the questions which i believe most of the religious apologist can't the resort to dancing and digressing from it because they know they have little or no answer to it all.does jesus love the people in china, japan, thailand, india, and the americas? if he does then why no mention of them in the bible even when their civilization predated christ?why are there no prophets amongst them when they were very much in existance before and during the time of jesus?  what will happen to them when they die? will they rot in hell for eternity for not following jesus who they have never encountered and who refused to reveal himself to them during his time on earth and afterwards? the answer is simple the reason why china and india and the americas where not mentioned in the bible is because the jews in the old testament and the early christains at that time never knew that such places were in existance thats why there were'nt included in the scheme of things if they had known they would have included them in the scheme of things or do you mean to tell me that an almighty creator doesnt know all the people that he created to the extent of ommiting them in his holy book?'if there is a god he would have revealed himself to the whole of humanity not just some people and tell them to help propagate his massage.

All religions were created to answer the very difficult questions people had about the purpose of life and the pesky question of what happens to a person when he dies, every race and group of people during the medieval times tried to give answers to those questions and came up with some set of guidelines in other to explain the unexplainable about life ,its purpose, nature and death. Those cultures where then embedded in the life styles of the people and it kept moving from one generation to generation whilst undergoing the process of evolution, thats why in the bible we have the new and old testament.

the god in the old testament is definately not the same god in the new teatament, we have the god in the old testament ordering people to kill , maim and loot the treasury of non jews because it was the practice at that time, the jews wanted to keep themselves together and they had to encouarge each other and give justifications for engaging in wars with their fellow neighbours hence the resorted to the idea that they were the chosen people by their god to give moral justification for all the killings, looting, stealing of land, and enslavement they made their enemies undergo by telling their people that they were commanded by their god to do so because their enemies too had their own gods and didnt believe in the god of the jews, when actually they were just looking for reasons to carry out their henious crimes and sometimes unjustifiable wars against their enemies. will an almighty god tell people how to fight their enemies and what to do with the bounty they have collected from the war? if god is god he will send earth quakes or floods to destroy his enemies and the enemies of his choosen people, he wouldnt order his people to kill and maim on his behalf. by the way why does god need to have a choosen people? why can't he accept every body? why does he have to choose amongs the jews and arabs to be his choosen people? why didnt he choose the chines, the indians of people from the americas?

human and animal scarifice was the norm hence it was encouraged by god in the old testament. but because the moral ziegiest had shifted and those babaric acts that were encouraged and sometimes commanded by god in the old testament were no longer acceptable to the people the founders of the christain religion came up with the new  testament (new ideas or new begining), in it was the divinity of jesus who came to the world as god to do away with the old and evil ways of the old testament which could not hold any ground because there was little  universal morality to be fechted or learned from the old and primitive way(old teatament) the jews in the old testament were encouraged to love  god and their fellow jews but not the non jews, infact the jews were the choosen ones and were the ones that were talked about in most of the old testament . that doctrine could not be used universally so a new and universally accepatable doctrine had to be invented hence the idea of the divinity of jesus who now came to end practices like stoning to death of wrong doers, jesus came to put an end to fighting the enemies of god and his people, destruction of people by god for trivail reasons like picking of sticks on the sabbath, jesus espoused the love of the poor regardless of tribe, giving women rights because they had very little rights in the old testament, and providing an end to the wrongful stealing of peoples lands in the name of god by the jews, and better treatment of slaves was advocated by jesus to all people.

monogamy was then gradually introduced and the love of god and man was highly encouraged instead of love of jews only which was what was advocated by the prophets and god himself in the old testament. Because the moral ziegiest had shifted the idea of trinity sprang up came into being and gave people reason to believe in god in a different way with a coherent explanation(trinity was integrated with some parts of the pagan worship doctorines at that time for some political reasons). the introduction of holy spirit, hell and other ideas came up in the new testament to conform with the mindset of the people and provide the answers for life after death and the purpose of living but this time the religion was opened for innovation, the religion was dynamic and was made to be an all inclusive religion for the whole of man kind not only for the jews as was in the case of the old testament because a religion with the jews at the forefront will not be accepted globally.

the same thing is what is happening in islam but the problem with islam is that there are no grey areas like christainity (which is constantly evolving to fit in with time and acceptable standard of living of people), there are no cutting edge areas in islam that is why people find it hard to understand it. islam highly discourages innovation and wants people to live their lives in the medieval ages which is not possible in this day and time hence the deviation and constant explanation by islamic apologist. the rules set by islam can hardly stand in todays world but coherant excuses have been provide by the religion to dispel the charges of the critics same as christainity.Islam only attacks and denounces chriatainity and judaism by name because those where the only religions that the founders of islam knew were in existance at that time, if they had known about hinduism, shinto etc they would have attacked and denounced them by name too. if god can reveal himself to a particular group of people in the mediaval ages then i wonder why he refuses to do so in this modern day and time. if there is a god he would explain himself to his creatures and will not allow his creatures to tell their fellow creatures what he wants of them, if god can tell pastors, rabbis, imams etc what he wants people to do and how to live their lives why not appear and tell people to do so himself because the song is always better from the horse's mouth. if god can tell a pastor, rabbi, imam etc what verse to read from the bible, torah or koran why can't he come out and tell people himself. why give people free will which they never asked for and throw them in hell for going against it? why reveal your self to some of your creatures and not others and punish those that you refused to reveal your self to for eternity for not believeing in you. those that make any sense?

The division in christainity and the uncountable sects(over 30,000 sects) tells you that it is purely a man made religion just like every other religion(islam, hinduism, judaism, shinto, buddahism etc) even the bible has so many versions and translations(over 80 english translations alone), christains can not come up with a single and acceptable brand that will be adhered to the world over(because everything about it is man made). islam too has the same problem but unlike christainity the sects are not too diverse. I don't believe in any religion but i still like religion because it gives people hope and provides internal peace and justice to the helpless, it gives people reason to live and look forward to a better future despite that fact that it is responsible for some of the biggest division and lack of acceptance in the world today. I believe religion is still is a necessary evil.

All religions were created out of the fear of the many and the cleverness of a few.

huxley abeg make u try dey rest abeg. are you trying to convert the christain folks here in to atheisim? lol, their lives, emotions, realities, senses and total being revolves around their religion and even if you try to make sense they will always find a way of proving that you are wrong or hold tightly unto their religion, this is a fight that you can never win because no matter how much you try they will always find a way to prove you wrong even if their explanation doesnt make sense at all. i dont believe in religion but i know that it is important. i live in a society that is without religion becos most of the people here do not believe in any god or gods and they are far better for it, but i still think religion is a necessary evil most especially after my last visit to nigeria two months ago.

Cayon:
Amish folks don't use cars, phones, have tv or use anything modern, in some case even electricity refridgerators or stoves, definetely no ac.
They believe in the simple life, hard work, family and helping your neighbours. Divorce is basically unheard of, and everyone goes to church.

Maybe if Christians and Mu$lims live this simple live we would never hear of Divorce, we'll have a higher percentage of children doing better in school, no gangs, kids corrupted by TV instead of spendng time reading the Bible etc.
are you kidding me?
