Mr anony: Just as it was in the days of Noah, so too it will be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage—right up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. Likewise, just as it was in the days of Lot, people were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building; but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be the same on the day the Son of Man is revealed.Did'nt Jesus tell his disciples he was going to come back during their life time? |
OLAADEGBU, pls stop this fear mongering nonsense of yours. . .The hell myth does not even scare kids any more. . . |
vedaxcool: This honorable court will pass judgement on the case brought to it,Pls don't tell me you actually spent some mins typying this NONSENSE. . . . . . .I am seriously laughing here. . . |
striktlymi: You really do not know the half of it...Why must EVERYTHING about religion ad its claims be invisible, undetected, unknowable?. . .Isn't that a fraud?. . .Ask them about god, they will tell you he is invisible and doesn't want to show himself. . .Why would a being that is alleged to be all powerful, a being who WANTS to save humans and be in a personal relationship with them be invisible and undetected and invisible? You get many different incoherent gibberish answers from the proponents of the god hypothesis. . .Why is satan invisible like god since believers already believe he exist? all you get is anothe incoherent gibberish. . .Why can we only know something after we die?. . .All you get is another incoherrent gibberish. . .Religion is a fraud. . .It just keeps selling what is never there. . . Emotions man...pure emotions!!!I am asking you simple questions and you are replying me with this?. . .You are making a case for heaven and insisting that i exist as such I am asking you questions about it. . .Will a 4 years old child that died remain a child forever in heaven?. . . I am not you...if you have been indoctrinated in Atheism...good for you but stop assuming what you have no idea about.Heaven is not your idea or conception, it is the idea, conception and making of another person which you have bought into through indoctrination. . .You have never been to heaven all you have to lay hold to is the ideas and conception of others. . .You have been indoctrinated by friend. . . ![]() Do not insult the bold...you call your claims show? You dismiss without evidence and went ahead to claim that you have shown it?...Oh my!I have shown you that heaven is just an idea like reincanation. . . |
Mr anony: You haven't showed that the question is silly, you merely state it.It doesn't make any sense. . . If there is no consequence for an action, there is no obligation to do or not to do it. The same applies to life. If there is no consequence for how one lives his/her life, then there is no obligation to live life in any particular manner. And consequnce for action can only be found in life after death? . . .There is consequence(both for good and for bad) to be found in this life. . .What exactly are you on about?. . .Really, how so? ....because the above sounds to me like you are saying that one can eat his cake and have it.Nope. you can gain many sensual pleasure and still make this world a better place. . .A lot of celebrities do that. . .They give millions of dollars to the funding and research for finding cure for cancer for example and the alleviation of poverty in many underdeveloped nations(making the world a better place) but they still go about squeezing sensual enjoymet(partying, drugs, booze etc). . . |
cyrexx: Sensual enjoyment?Very true. . .I wonder why he keeps doing this. . .The other time rape wasn't wrong when he was an atheist now sensual enjoyment. . . ![]() |
striktlymi: What you call consciousness is brought about by the spirit and the spirit lives on after death...Spirit?. . .Whats that?. . .And you have seen oir detected spirits living on after death where and when. . .My friend just lost her 4 years old child back in Nigeria. Is the child's spirit in heaven?. . .Will the baby's spirit remain a child forever in heaven?. . .Why does old age affect this your elusive spirit?. . .The woman that lives close to me here has alzheimer's disease. . .She is very old, she can say something and forget what she said immediately. Its that bad. . .Is she now doesn't remember or know any one and anything. . .Will he spirit suddely remember everything after she dies and goes to heaven? This is not a matter of what I can disprove or not...it's more about what you can prove...I am not asking you to disprove my position...just prove yours.I am just giving you another idea similar to the one you have been indoctrinated with. . .I don't have to be the one to disprove your assertion, the complete lack of evidence for your assertion is enough. . .What is asserted without evidence deserves o be dismissed without evidence. I just showed you that heaven is just a man made idea and concept like reincarnation , which is another man made idea and concept. . . . |
striktlymi: Striktlymi lives in Ghana...No where in your analogy do you claim you are not from ghana or nigeria. . .Many christians, happily convince themselves and others that they are not part of this world. . .They claim this life is just a test and the real life begins after they die in the imaginary heaven. . . . ...and where is your proof that there is no life after?Simple, human coinsiousness does not survive bodily death. . .It has never been shown by any body. . .Afterlife is just an idea that has NO evidence what so ever to support it. . .I asked you to prove to me that people do not reincarnate. . .I can not disprove your mytholigy for you, but all I know is that it is an idea that has nothing to do with reality. . . The above is very empty because you only replaced one claim with another...I said human consiousness does not survive bodily death. . .Life after death is a human idea and conception. . .That is all there is to it. . .If you can prove to me that reincarnation is false then i will also prove to you that your imaginary heaven is false. . . |
truthislight: KjvWho are you shaking your self for and who is into the deciet?. . .The people that translated the bible or what?. . .Hope you know that there are over 15 different english translation of the bible and many of them give different passages very different meanings?. . .By the way the passage he posted is from the New International Version(NIV). . .SMH at your own failure. . . |
striktlymi: I am aware of how it sounds to the Atheist. But you forget that when you guys say that nothing happens after death, you also make a claim of your own which you have no proof for.Consiousness can not exist without the brain in humans, once the brain dies, everything dies with it. . .Human consiousness has never been shown to survive bodily death. . .I asked and will ask again. . .Can you disproof reincarnation?. . .Do you have any evidence to show that people do not reincarnate into animals, plants, insects etc after they die?. . . |
striktlymi: Which religion emphsises the life after at the expense of the current life?Christianity. . .Some of you guys happily sing this world is not my home am going back to meet god. . .You claim you are not part of this world, bla bla bla. . .heaven is your home, etc. . . And what gives you the impression that the life after is immaginary?because the after life is just an idea that was created out of thin air by other men and their superstitions. Do you believe in reincarnation?. . .About a billion Hindus and people of other religions also believe in it. Is reincanation real?. . .Can you disprove that people reincarnate?. . .These things are just ideas, that people formed. They have nothing to do with reality. The only life we have is this present one. Any body that talks about life after death is only sharing an imaginary idea and is NEVER talking about any reality. . . |
Mr anony: Why should I try to make the world a better place? Why not squeeze out every bit of sensual enjoyment I can before I go back to sleep? Why do you keep asking these silly questions. . .Why must he not try to make this world a better place?. . .You can squeeze out every bit of sensual enjoyment and still make this world a better place. . . |
ayenny02: 9:17Lets go through it once again, since you are in a hurry to run to no where. . . It is not for the polytheists to maintain the mosques of Allah [while] witnessing against themselves with disbelief. [For] those, their deeds have become worthless, and in the Fire they will abide eternally. 9:17 [You disbelievers are] like those before you; they were stronger than you in power and more abundant in wealth and children. They enjoyed their portion [of worldly enjoyment], and you have enjoyed your portion as those before you enjoyed their portion, and you have engaged [in vanities] like that in which they engaged. [It is] those whose deeds have become worthless in this world and in the Hereafter, and it is they who are the losers. 9:69 So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it. 99:7 It seems english is a problem for you. . .9.17 and 9.69 clearly say that unbelievers and their deeds are worthless, but 99"7 clearly say whoever does an atom of good will see it. . .Who now is the liar?. . .Moreover, S. 2:62 promises Christians reward for their good deeds. But S. 9:28-33; 5:17, 72-73 calls Christians idolaters, and S. 9:17 is very clear that idolaters will have no reward. I don't need to go through others because you don't understand English may be I will advice you to get your language Quran maybe HAUSA, IGBO, YORUBA or whatever language you think of, you will get it.You don't need to go through the rest because its obvious you can read the english language when it is written. . . Hope you understand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!]Kill myself? Why should I. . .I can see you spliting hairs over a internet chat. . .Seems you are the one about to go on a suicide mission, since a lot of your borthers are into that. . .There is nothing to think about in your post. . .The Quran has its own contradictions and I have listed them there for you but it obvious that you can't read english. . . .Stop threanting me with the myth of hell. . .The myth doesn't even move or scare kids these days. . . |
The god hypothesis and the special pleadings of religious apologist completely debunked. . . |
[quote author=Misunderstood_G]Abeg ooo, I've been asking myself this question for a very long time... Is seun a muslim or an atheist [/quote]He is an atheist. . . |
When its religion vs science, science always wins. . .Science is objective while religion is subjective mythology and supposition. . .Another thing is the rainbow. . .According to the Hindus the rainbow is the necklace of some wired goddess, which she shines upon the earth after she has taken her bath when it rains, while the christian mythology says the rainbow is the covennant between some Jewish tribal diety Yahweh and his people to let them know that he will never again destroy the world with flood. . .Then came science and it showed us that rainbow is just a refraction of light when it comes in contact with water droplets in the atmosphere. Any where light is refracted against water droplets in the atmoshpere a rainbow occurs, in the beach, in your garden, in the sky any where. . .Science always wins. . . |
ayenny02: [Nawa for you, you like story too much without point. I posted some corrupted and contradiction of the bible and I asked you to produce the same like from Quran but nothing you can produce from it. I.e The Quran is a unique book]The Koran is riddle with its own contradictions. . . Will Allah reward the good deeds of Unbelievers? S. 9:17 and 9:69 clearly say no. However, S. 99:7 implies yes. Moreover, S. 2:62 promises Christians reward for their good deeds. But S. 9:28-33; 5:17, 72-73 calls Christians idolaters, and S. 9:17 is very clear that idolaters will have no reward. Should Muslims show kindness to their parents? On the one hand, the Quran commands all Muslims to show kindness to their parents, even if they are disbelievers [17:23-24, 31:14-15, 29:8, etc.]. On the other hand, it demands not to show any love or friendship to those who oppose Muhammad, even if they are their parents [9:23, 58:22]. Can Allah be seen and did Muhammad see his Lord? Yes [S. 53:1-18, 81:15-29], No [6:102-103, 42:51]. Were Warners Sent to All Mankind Before Muhammad? Allah had supposedly sent warners to every people [10:47, 16:35-36, 35:24], Abraham and Ishmael are specifically claimed to have visited Mecca and built the Kaaba [2:125-129]. Yet, Muhammad supposedly is sent to a people who never had a messenger before [28:46, 32:3, 34:44, 36:2-6]. This article also raises other issues: What about Hud and Salih who supposedly were sent to the Arabs? What about the Book that was supposedly given to Ishmael? Etc. Who Was the First Muslim? Muhammad [6:14, 163], Moses [7:143], some Egyptians [26:51], or Abraham [2:127-133, 3:67] or Adam, the first man who also received inspiration from Allah [2:37]? Further numerical discrepancies Does Allah's day equal to 1,000 human years (Sura 22:47, 32:5) or 50,000 human years (Sura 70:4)? --- According to Sura 56:7 there will be THREE distinct groups of people at the Last Judgement, but 90:18-19, 99:6-8, etc. mention only TWO groups. --- There are conflicting views on who takes the souls at death: THE Angel of Death [32:11], THE angels (plural) [47:27] but also "It is Allah that takes the souls (of men) at death." [39:42] Angels have 2, 3, or 4 pairs of wings [35:1]; but Gabriel had 600 wings. [Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 54, Number 455] How many days did Allah need to destroy the people of Aad? One day [54:19] or several days [41:16; 69:6,7] Quick or Slow Creation? Allah creates the heavens and the earth in six days [7:54] and many Muslims want to be modern and scientific, and make that six eons, but then again, He creates instantaneously [2:117], "Be! And it is". Heavens or Earth? Which was created first? First earth and then heaven [2:29], heaven and after that earth [79:27-30]. Calling together or ripping apart? In the process of creation heaven and earth were first apart and are called to come together [41:11], while 21:30 states that they were originally one piece and then ripped apart. What was man created from? A blood clot [96:1-2], water [21:30, 24:45, 25:54], "sounding" (i.e. burned) clay [15:26], dust [3:59, 30:20, 35:11], nothing [19:67] and this is then denied in 52:35, earth [11:61], a drop of thickened fluid [16:4, 75:37] Will there be inquiry in Paradise? "neither will they question one another" [23:101] but nevertheless they will be "engaging in mutual inquiry" [52:25], "and they will ... question one another" [37:27]. Are angels protectors? "NO protector besides Allah" [2:107, 29:22]. But in Sura 41:31 the angels themselves say: "We are your protectors in this life and the Hereafter." And also in other suras is their role described as guarding [13:11, 50:17-18] and protecting [82:10]. Does Allah forgive shirk? Shirk is considered the worst of all sins, but the author of the Qur'an seems unable to decide if Allah will ever forgive it or not. No [4:48, 116], Yes [4:153, 25:68-71]. Abraham committed this sin of polytheism as he takes moon, sun, stars to be his Lord [6:76-78], yet Muslims believe that all prophets are without any sin These are just a few. . .There are many more. . . [those Names above, were they not the Companions of the Prophet, how many disciples of Jesus Christ that included in compilation of new testament? ]That isw according to the muslim narrative, do you know anything about any of them any where?. . .Some scholars have stated that there is nothing in the first century of the Koran that suggest anything like that, even the oldest copy of the Koran we have dates to the 9th century AD. . . Pls don't commit suicide, those anti-islam scholar that u mentioned why don't you bring the verses from Quran which they believed was not from God. I will advice u not to give yourself hypertension, just accept your faith that you are on the wrong path, all the story you brought here lack merit. ARE U HEARING ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!What is this?. . . |
golpen: Verily the stories in the quran have not been coined from any of the previous books of the christians or the jews. There are many stories in the qur'an that is not found in any book or scriptures, so where would you say those stories come from? In fact, the ones that are incidentally found in those books you've said are either proven not logically true or the qur'an brings gives a clearer narration. Can you give us an example?. . .The Koranic narratives have no support any where outside the Koran. . .A few of the biblical narratives have support outside the bible from extra sources that are independent. . .The few stories of the prophets that were not mentioned in the bible are just so brief and lack any detail at all. As to the compilation of the Qur'an, it doesn't matter who has written it, as it matters in the case of the bible. Reason being that the Qur'an in writing, is a compilation of words revealed from Allah to a man who is the only source that dictates to the learned fellows who have dedicated their times to penning down every word with the guidance of God who has brought the book. Therefore, compilation after the death of the prophet (S A W) can never be a problem when the records and manuscripts are uncontroversially kept intact. It matters a lot who complied and wrote the Koran. From wikiepedia it says. . .. Muslim and non-Muslim scholars alike disagree on whether Muhammad compiled the Qur'an during his lifetime or if this task began with the first caliph Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (632-634). Once the Qur'an was compiled, due to the unanimity of the sources, Muslims agree that the Qur'an we see today was canonized by Uthman ibn Affan (653-656). Upon the canonization of the Qur'an, Uthman ordered the burning of all personal copies of the Qur'an. Even though Uthman canonized the written Qur'an during his reign in 653-656, small diacritical variations still remained in the written Qur'an, which can be seen in the early manuscripts of the Umayyad and Abbasid Dynasties.[2] Due to varying historical documents, controversy is seen amongst some scholars as to whether the Uthmanic codex we have before us today is authentic and complete. Most Muslim scholars believe the Uthmanic Qur'an is what was revealed to Muhammad in its entirety, while some non- muslim scholars believe verses were removed and other codices of the Qur'an are more absolute. More from wikipedia. . . Other secular scholars, such as John Wansbrough, Michael Cook and Patricia Crone, were less willing to attribute the entire Qur'an to Muhammad (or Uthman), arguing that there "is no hard evidence for the existence of the Qur'an in any form before the last decade of the 7th century...[and that]...the tradition which places this rather opaque revelation in its historical context is not attested before the middle of the eighth." "There is no proof that the text of the Qur'an was collected under Uthman, since the earliest surviving copies of the complete Qur'an are centuries later than Uthman. (The oldest existing copy of the full text is from the 9th century.[45]) They contend that Islam was formed gradually over a number of centuries after the Muslim conquests, as the Islamic conquerors elaborated their beliefs in response to Jewish and Christian challenges. The absence of contemporaneous corroborating material from the very first century of Islam has raised numerous questions as to the authenticity of the account provided by later traditionalist sources. Skeptical scholars, nonetheless, point out that the earliest account of Muhammad's life by Ibn Ishaq was written about a century after Muhammad died and all later narratives by Islamic biographers contain far more details and embellishments about events which are entirely lacking in Ibn Ishaq's text. Patricia Crone, studying the origins of the Qur'an, has focused on the examination of the vast body of the Greek, Armenian, Hebrew, Aramaic, Syriac and Coptic accounts of non-Muslim neighbors of the 7th and 8th centuries which in many cases contradict the traditional Islamic narratives. She argues that the consistency of the non-Muslim sources spread over a large geographic area would tend to rule out a non-Muslim anti-Islamic motive to these sources. In well known Professor G.R. Hawting's academic review and in partial support of Puin's book, Hidden Origins of Islam: New Research into Its Early History,[51] Hawting says Puin refers "to some puzzling evidence that must be taken into account by anyone concerned by a period that is, indeed, in many ways obscure."[56] The variations from the received text that he found seemed to match minor variations in sequence reported by some Islamic scholars, in their descriptions of the variant Qur'ans once held by Abdallah Ibn Masud, Ubay Ibn Ka'b, and Ali, and suppressed by Uthman's order. Skeptical scholars account for the many similarities between the Qur'an and the Jewish and Hebrew Scriptures by saying that Muhammad was teaching what he believed to be a universal history, as he had heard it from the Jews and Christians he had encountered in Arabia and on his travels - as well as his exposure to the Hanif tradition by way of his paternal-grandfather, Abdul Muttalib. These scholars also disagree with the Islamic belief that the whole of the Qur'an is addressed by God to humankind. They note that there are numerous passages where God is directly addressed, or mentioned in the third person, or where the narrator swears by various entities, including God. |

Is this thread a scam or what?. . .Is Toluwarni the same person as InAfconSquad?. . .Are you formulating stories and lying for Jesus or what ![]() |
Toluwarni: Mazaje let this story touch youThe reality is there is actually no right or wrong, right or wrong is determined by the society we live in. . .Take the islamic sharia law for example, according to muslims that is the best and just system every society should live by. But many consider that system(sharia) to be a babaric system. Religion and god does NOT make a society more moral. There is NO evidence what so ever to show that. . .Take a look at the OT, most christians consider such laws and moral codes of conduct to be barbaric and will never try to live under such. . .People sit down and decide what moral codes to abide by and what the feel is best for their societies. The only thing is that those in the past ascribe such laws to their various gods to make it more binding. . .Thats all. . .As people come together, laws are harmonized. . .Gods don't make moral laws, ONLY humans do. . . |
InAfconSquad: 2 years.. I became an atheist late 2010/early 2011 don't know the exact year..I wasn't always a deep Christian, I was just a Sunday Sunday christian.. I guess somehow, when Muskeeto, Mazaje posts started convincing me, I became angry at God.. Life had no meaning to me, I really wanted God to show Himself..Most of the greatest "sinners" I know believe in god. Just yesterday a guy beheaded another human while chanting allah is great. . .Take a simple look at nigeria, it is the most rotten country I know. I do business in Nigeria and I can categorically tell you that Nigeria is a rotten country when it comes to the issue of morality. We have no integirty, yet Nigerians are the most religious people I know. I live in a country where majority of the people are atheist but they are better off than Nigerians that overtly believe in god. Come to denmark and ask kids of say 8-10 years old what god is you will be suprised that most of them don';t even know what the god idea is. Just 2 days ago my babe forgot her phone(Samsung S4 in a bus). Some one picked it up and gave the driver. We later met up with the guy cos he also dropped his contact details. The guy is an atheist. I don't think she will ever see that phone if it drops in a bus in any part of Nigeria. If a Danish man or woman tells you yes, its yes, if they tell you know its no, they have integrity and majority of them are honest despite not believing in any god. . .If a Nigerian tells you yes its mostly a lie especially when money is involved. . . At least from my experince. . . |
Atheim is simply lack of belief in gods. if you believe that atheims means you should go about stealing, telling lies and sleeping around with ladies, then you are a failed human being. . . . |
Image123: What? As in, whaaaaaat? It is very normal for people to kill each other? And somebody said there is no devil. i rest my case.Even your bible has god comanding people in many places to kill each other, is your god satan?. . .Killing people is normal, its somethimg that humans have been doing since when they appeared on the surface of the planet. . . .People have been killing each other for a very long time, and it has nothing to do with spirits or invisible beings. |
Image123: You have been told that satan is invisible. He is not physical matter, its irrational to forcefully treat him as physical. That is why you are getting parallel questions for other invisible things that we believe that you'd readily accept their existence. Nuclear energy is real, there are things that are not readily perceptible to humans but other mediums can detect. You cannot see what a dog or cat can see. What some animals have heard or smelled, you may not hear or smell until too late. Dangers that animals have perceived and migrated, humans may use precise, delicate and expensive instruments. Its is very normal for people to kill each other. . .Killing is something that doesn't require spiritual agents. . .Do you have evidence of satan commanding them to kill?. . .If not why are you making such claims?. . .Spirits we are told have some shape and form for example we are told angles have wings etc..What about satan what form does he have?. . |
