international airport
issuing of bonds

at the last count, at least 30 of the 36 states in the country either have airports or have awarded contracts for one.
what the heck is Akwa Ibom state doing with an international airport?

stop disgracing yourselves in public by trying to reason with the likes of Beaf.
He has gone too far down the path of perdition to be able to think rationally.

Beaf:
Jonathan Sets Up Campaign Team •May Name El-Rufai As DG
Written by Taiwo Adisa, Abuja
Saturday, 04 September 2010

It was gathered that the president actually delayed his declaration as a result of the fact that he wanted to conclude the ongoing Ramadan fast, which he is observing alongside Muslim faithful and the need to put in place some key aspects of the deliverables targeted by his administration.

“President Jonathan has resolved that after due consultations with all strata of the Nigerian polity, he has decided to offer himself for service for four years, after which he would retire and face his lifetime ambition as a scholar and researcher.
this is indeed a theatre of the absurd.
Clown have run amok and the comedy season has peaked.

This man, researcher?
This man, scholar?
This would have been so funny but for the seriousness of the issue involved.
This is our country's future, y'know?
I doubt this clowns and barbarians realize that?
Politics › Gbenga Daniel Declares Senatorial Ambition by mbulela(op): 12:27pm On Sep 04, 2010
OGUN State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel yesterday stunned the state politicians as he obtained the party’s form to contest for next year’s senatorial election representing Ogun East Senatorial District, even as he urged party members to unite as 2011 election general elections draw near.
There had been insinuations in certain quarters that the governor was backing Col. Emma Shoda (rtd) for the post. But addressing party faithful including local government chairmen and party leaders, Daniel appealed to members of the Ogun State PDP to present a common front in the run up to the 2011 general elections. The governor stated this in his Sagamu country home.
The party leaders had come to present a nomination form bought for the governor to enable him contest the Ogun East Senatorial seat. The governor said that as members of the same political family, they should not be at loggerheads but work together in the overall interest of the party and country.
The party’s Chairman in Ijebu North East, Prince Wole Otenaike, who led the party chieftains to buy the form earlier at the party‘s secretariat in Abeokuta, said the action was informed by the excellent performance of Governor Daniel and the need to allow Nigerians to benefit from his visionary leadership.
He praised the governor “for transforming Ogun State from the backwater to one of the country’s most industrialized entities”.
Also speaking, Ogun East PDP senatorial leader, Chief Kola Ogunjobi, said the endorsement of the governor and the decision to purchase the nomination form for him was  to show the appreciation of the people to a man who has through good governance effected positive change in Ogun State.

Gbawe:
We all know of Amaechi's problem with Odili but here he is clearly talking about persecution from the President because he has failed to pledge his allegiance to the ambition of Jonathan:

OBJ never hesitated to destroy those who were achieving progress for Nigeria if they stood against his ambition. He did not care that he was leaving whole States , and thus the future of millions , in ruinous hands as long as he gained what he wanted. Jonathan is showing the same callousness . That is not the way forward for Nigeria. At a time when votes are being allowed to count all around us in West Africa we are busy playing "amala politics" of rented or gun-point "endorsement" because of the deleterious , egotistical and unpopular ambition of those who have always kept Nigeria down !!!

What next ? The removal of a Governor many consider the best in Nigeria (Fashola) because he fails to "endorse" Jonathan? It is Nigerians that will lose out with all this politricking. If Jonathan is to becomes President in 2011 Mr.President , because he does not enjoy anything near genuine majority support of Nigerians in all region , despite the fake noise of endorsement, must back woeful Governors (even if Nigerians vote against them as we saw in Ekiti) who can help him to deliver their State for his 'win'.
I am disappointed in you.
How could you expect anything different from GEJ?
I am still trying to understand where this hope in Jonathan is originating from?
Nothing in the man's speech, conduct or action portends any difference from the dark tunnel we presently inhabit.
I need to vote during this election, i am coming into town to vote but presently i can't see anyone worthy of my airfare.

There has always been more armed groups and vigilantes in Rivers State than in most others. Most of these are culturally indoctrinated in violence.

1993 when Okrika asked each house to produce 2 fighting men to prosecute the Eleme war was when the likes of Ateke were validated. One who took part in that war told me they were using cock-and-shoot and spoke quite proudly of his initiation as an Okrika man. Now take those cock-and-shoot and replace with machine guns, what do you have.

The same boys who prosecuted the Nembe-Kalabari wars, Andoni-Eleme, Okrika-Ogoni, Abuloma-Army clashes etc. Combine those boys with PDP and this is the fallout
forget all this sermon wey you dey preach.
simply accept the truth that all this militancy and freedom fighting of MEND and the rest of the crooks are plain criminality.
the militants in the ND are as bad as the federal govt.
the masses of the ND are being despoil.d from both sides.
This is gang r.a.p.i.n.g of the worst form.

Beaf:
What is going on in Rivers is really bad and unfortunate, Bayelsa also has several issues.
However, Akwa Ibom and Delta don't have these problems.

Lets see how govt deals with this.
they will do nothing.
they will simply sweep it under the carpet along the direction in which it favours them.
Our politics is one of self preservation.
One day the monster will devour its creators.

i dont think you understand the reason behind the debate

The reps and the Guvnor are at loggerheads and everyone in Abeokuta knows OGD is even after them

so what do you mean Utomi shouldnt be a part of it?

The debate is a ploy to ridicule OGD and he has fallen for it
dude, you are too intelligent to fall for this.
Utomi is no saint, so i will not be too surprised.
This is a non issue that does not deserve to be debated.
How can a governor with less than 7 months left in his tenure go to borrow 100 billion from the market?
He should start by giving account of all the allocation he has gotten in the last 8 years.
This is broad day robbery.
This devilish trend needs to be checked, these barbarians are not satisfied with stealing the present they want to steal the future.
Before anyone dares to educate me about bond markets, our state governors are crooks and can not be trusted.
There is no mental accounting in their thought process. They will steal the proceeds like they steal federal allocation.
Ogun state indigenes must say no without any condition.

you don't need to be a PH person to realise that all these militant c r a p is broad day robbery.
all you need is to have an open mind about most of the sensational rubbish printed in the media and to read between the lines when this criminals called militants speak.
No discernible ideology.only violence and sharing of loot.
Every known militant has become a millionaire over night.
I challenge anyone who supports this criminality masquerading as militancy to explain that sheer coincidence to Nigerians.
What wealth did they all inherit from their fathers?
Which lottery did all of them without exception win?
What innovative biz idea did they think up and execute while fighting in the swamp forests?

Imagine 'respectable' political leaders calling for a probe into the killing?
How many probes were set up for the killing of several innocent persons who have been victims of this criminality in the ND called ND militancy?
This is just the beginning.

unfortunately, i no want add any info for obvious reasons.
I wish an intelligent man like Ibime will read this entire thread and retrace his step in supporting this criminality called militancy.
From A to Z all militants are crooks and are as much enemies of the ND as the federal Government.
this Amnesty programe is constitutionalized armed robbery.
Even the press are party to this grand charade.
When the true saviours of the ND and the enitire Nigerian masses show up,even the blind will see them.
All these barbarians gouging at the feeding trough will be decapitated for good very soon.
Every one on the scene at present only have one interest at heart - THEMSELVES.

I have waited since i indicated my interest, yet no message from any MOD with the necessary codes.
